As soon as the partnership between Shakeel and Masood was looking good, Pat Cummins came and broke the partnership. Babar Azam's bad form continues as he got bowled by Cummins for only 1 run, thankfully he did not get out for a duck. The good thing is that Massod is still on the pitch and has been playing well. He already has his half-century and is looking for a century in this second test. For now, Pakistan has lost 3 wickets and is trailing by 171 runs which looks like can be chased if another partnership is formed.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 27, 2023, 05:49:17 AM
No one can control hate as it comes naturally to those who missed the opportunity. Those who are still here after missing the early opportunity are the real believers of Bitcoin. What is find upsetting, is when I see the chart that most hate happened in 2017. I am unable to understand why so many obituaries came up at that time as it was the first time Bitcoin had a big ATH. It should have been the time to rejoice in the moment and be happy about Bitcoin's achievement. I can understand why it was still high in 2018 and 2019 but again it spiked in 2021. This means whenever Bitcoin goes up haters come out to create misinformation about Bitcoin so that others cannot ride the dream.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 27, 2023, 05:28:47 AM
If 2023 went well for everyone then 2024 would become the best year for everyone here. I am eagerly waiting for a Bitcoin ETF to get approved and then for halving. Both factors would bring a lot of smiles to the faces of small investors like us, but the present market condition is not that bad. A lot of altcoins are still in green and performing way above the expectation of everyone. If anyone had invested in some of the top-performing altcoins earlier in the year they would have easily made 10x on their initial investment.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC or DOT? on: December 27, 2023, 05:13:58 AM
Matic is a layer 2 solution for Ethereum blockchain and DOT is the cryptocurrency for polkadot blockchain. Both are different and both are providing solutions in their individual domains. Both are presently trading below their ATH and both have the potential to break their ATH in the next bull run. In my prospective both are good coins to invest currently. Take your time to understand both of them and invest in them only after doing your own research.
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google and X ads are the new weapon for crypto scammers on: December 27, 2023, 05:09:06 AM
They both were always weapons of crypto scammers unless the user remains vigilant. After X.com started selling the blue tick it has now become easier for scammers to get that tick and exploit users. Earlier it wasn't possible to scam users easily on that platform. I have seen a lot of fake websites that come up on Google searches and some are in the form of advertisements. It is imperative to always check the URL before using these websites to prevent oneself from getting scammed.
1006  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 27, 2023, 04:50:55 AM
Reduced import tax regime for edible oils and agri products to stay till March 2025.

The deadline extended to March 2025 from March 2024 to keep the food inflation under control especially the refined Sunflower oil prices went crazy last year, and now it is under control and very affordable but dal prices are on the surge as far as I purchased, so these taxes are not helping to control them.

But why can't government keep the import taxes for food products low forever?

It might be because there are certain food item that are considered luxury. Those food item that are not considered luxury but necessary they have reduced tax. They cannot minimise tax on all products because importing food increases the debt. Which why they increase the tax to reduce the import of food items. This my understanding, I am not an economic expert.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 27, 2023, 04:45:18 AM

Pakistan bowling performance is amazing all bowlers picked wickets and all out Australia in 318 score. Amir jamal picked 3 important wicktes. Pakistan current score at end of dsession 2 is 68 runs with loss of 1 wicket that picked by Nathan Lyon of imam ul haq at 10 score. Pakistani batters played well masood is playing at 25 not out and Abdullah Shafique is play very good 39 runs unbeaten. If this partnership between Masood and Shafique is going well more than 100 runs, then Pakistan will look for 400 plus runs and give a lead to Australia.

Shafique and Masood are looking good as they are batting well. A partnership in the making and if they bat in the same manner the trail will get shorter. Nathan Lyon has been brought back, he is the only bowler in Australian team who has taken a wicket. He has been ineffective against both these batters.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 27, 2023, 03:54:23 AM
Out of all the Pakistani bowlers bowling against the Australian team, the bowler who caught my attention was Aamer Jamal.  He again bowled well and got 3 wickets in the first innings, adding Hasan Ali to the team was fruitful. I feel Aamer Jamal would be able to cement his position permanently in the Pakistan team. Currently, Pakistan is trailing by 267 runs, which is chaseable, but again they have lost an early wicket. I am hoping that this time their middle order does not collapse as it did in the first test.
1009  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 27, 2023, 03:45:57 AM
Tomorrow we have the test coming up and Rohit and Virat appearance after WC. The fact is India never won test series in SA so that is something surprising even after India progressed a lot in the last two decades. Can this history will be rewritten because here we got a chance to make it happen since its only 2 match series and weaker SA batting lineup than they used to be.

What are your thoughts, guys?

Also, I think we can introduce fantasy players prediction from now on since we know how big the fantasy sports in India right now and It's nothing but gambling.

My fantasy players for first test: Virat, KL, Bumrah, Coetzee, Bavuma (he actually got better stats in test while playing in SA).

As of now, the Indian batting collapsed like anything, Rohit Sharma scored 5 runs, Shubhman Gill completely out of form scored 2 runs and Ashwin scored 8 runs. Are they serious about this test series or are playing for the sake of it? Shardul Thakur is batting aggressively at the moment, do not know how long he will last. KL Rahul is batting sensibly as he knows how important it is for him to stay on the pitch. The top and the middle order have been completely wiped out, it is the lower order that is for now holding the fort.

KL Rahul is still batting on 70, which is quite impressive actually as all other important players are out cheaply. The problem for India now is that they are out of batters as Shiraj is batting now. They still managed to score more than 200 runs and they probably are targeting 250 or more runs. Which looks unreachable as the last pair is batting currently, Shiraj won't be able to continue for long. Indian bowlers might able to get the same kind of juice from the pitch when they come down to bowl today.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlockSafu - legit or scam? on: December 24, 2023, 01:52:51 PM
You would need to be more specific here as you have not submitted the link to coinRexx and neither did you submit about BlockSafu. Why would anyone here try to search those projects on your behalf as we are not getting paid for them? Try adding the links to both of them in your OP if you want to get information about them. If you cannot then you will get an assumption based reply, unless you do it the right way you will always come up with questions to which you will never find an answer.

Hardik Pandya unlikely to play in IPL 2024; Suryakumar Yadav out of Afghanistan series with ankle injury

The news is out and it is a bad signal for MI management. He did all his meetings behind closed doors when India was playing the World Cup and the outcome is that he will miss the IPL. He was declared the captain of the MI and I am now surprised to hear that he will miss the IPL. Did he lie to the MI management about his fitness and injury? Or the MI management knew about this issue and still went ahead will all that news in the mainstream media. Rest assured Rohit is back as a captain of the MI which I feel is good for the franchise.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 24, 2023, 10:37:57 AM
I think we all understand the reality that the match between Pakistan and Australia is going to be one-sided again. Australia is going to win again. I hope that the second match is not going to be one-sided. But whenever the home team gets a chance, they try to have an advantage over the visiting team. And of course, the visiting team cannot do anything about that. So I think the results are not going to change. Probably Pakistan will put up a little more fight, hopefully.

Pakistan is still considered an unpredictable team and because of that tag, we cannot assume that this test side will be one-sided. They are struggling which is evident in the last match that they played against Australia that does not mean they will struggle again. Afterall Australia is the best test-playing team and every other test-playing nation struggles against them. Given the condition that Pakistan is playing, it would be tough for them to win the next match but I do not want them to surrender like they did in the first match. They have to give Australia a bit of competition in the second match and they might win the match, who knows?
1013  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Let's Discuss About Movies and TV Shows! on: December 24, 2023, 10:24:01 AM
Netflix is slowly losing its charm with increase in Woke based series and poor choice of stories.
The hype around netflix has been with these type of series for the last 3-4years. I am old skool and steer clear of these things.

I watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes - its a prequel to The Hunger Games series. It was nice considering I have seen the movies but never read the books, yet. But not something I would watch twice. Would give it 6/10 from my side.

Since the discussion is about Netflix and the kind of content that it is coming up with. I wanted to share a movie under the genre of horror that I saw yesterday. It has been coming on my Instagram reel feed for quite some time now as a much watch horror movies and it is only available on Netflix India. The movie is not in English but is in Turkish and the name is Dabbe: Curse of the Jinn. You would find a series of six movies under the name of Dabbe all of which are Turkish. The ending of the movie is not what you expect from horror movies.

IMDB - 6.2/10
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: December 24, 2023, 09:29:37 AM
What you are asking is a hypothetical situation that will never happen unless the world gets destroyed. It is not that easy to lose all Bitcoin as those who have it will know how to protect it. That does not mean that Bitcoin is not being lost, they are still and it is the responsibility of the owner to keep them safe. If someone losses it then they are in flat and they cannot blame anyone else.

In case such a hypothetical situation arises in the future as we cannot predict the future then other cryptocurrencies will dominate. I think the next big crypto according to the market cap is Ethereum and it will dominate the crypto world. The value of it will increase exponentially due it is highest number of pairing with Bitcoin.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins have dropped at least 10x in this bear market and will easily 10x on: December 24, 2023, 09:18:45 AM
There are three coins that I feel can give you a minimum of 10x in the next bull market. The first would be Solana, it had dropped to $15 the last time I saw it in the bear market. Avalanche went down to $9 the last time and currently is trading at $47, it has the potential to break its ATH in the bull market. Cosmos is another crypto that has the potential to easily give you a 10x return in the bull market. Currently, it is trading at $11 and has the potential to reach $100. Do look into these three cryptocurrencies and before investing do your research.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin portfolio on: December 24, 2023, 09:15:08 AM
Snip~~

I do not see Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB on your list whereas I see XRP which is not pumping currently in the market. I do feel you should again buy Solana as it will be pumping and check out AVAX. Avalanche has been steadily pumping for a couple of months now, it was above $100 in the last bull run. It can again breach the $100 mark and can break its old ATH.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 24, 2023, 09:10:45 AM
Most altcoins follow the trend of Bitcoin, and so it's very likely whatever happens to Bitcoin has got a reflective effect on them. So I would prefer to buy at this moment because by that time, the trends must have gone far and you will not be able to buy at a good price or FOMO may set in and you may take irrational decision that may not be a good financial decisions. If you buy now before the halving, after the halving, by the next bull run, you may be able to get some good profit on your investment.

Buying during halving isn't a bad idea but then it could be buying at a bad price because definitely their will be volatility due to demand resting from the halving.

Few do not follow the Bitcoin trend depending on the hype and currently, Solana is looking good. It has already crossed the $100 mark and if goes on like the way it has been then it will hit $500 after halving. There is another cryptocurrency that has been performing similarly and it is AVAX. At the moment it is moving upward steadily, by next year it should be near $100 and after halving I think it would break its ATH.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: December 24, 2023, 09:06:00 AM
Hi OP have you sent your usdt? or have you used trc20 often and even added bep20? in some exchanges this determines the withdrawal fee, I am confused whether you withdraw and send your usdt from cex, or just send from your wallet to someone else's wallet?
OP made this post on 25th Nov 2023 I believe OP has withdrawn his USDT by now. But it is definitely better to use BEP20 to withdraw USD because currently BEP20 withdrawal is much easier and has lower fees than TRC20.

OP forgot to lock the topic because it has been a month time that OP created it. This is the problem the Altcoin board has been facing and we are helpless to do anything about it. I think the best would be BEP20 which has the lowest fee and the next would be TRC20. The confirmation time for both of the blockchains is within 3 minutes, the difference is only the fee required for a transaction to confirm.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dascoin Big Scam on: December 24, 2023, 09:00:30 AM
Never heard about this coin, did some digging and found that it was launched in 2017. It had the element of MLM in it which is a big red flag for any project. Therefore it is always advised to do research before investing funds in any crypto project. There are many shit coins that are coming out right now and with the hype added to it, investors fall for projects that do not have any future. Hype is good but not all projects with hype make it to the top.
1020  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 23, 2023, 11:08:07 AM
According to a new report published by the World Bank, Indians top the list of remittance back to India. According to the reports $125 billion was remitted back to India by Indian expat in 2023. The second spot goes to Mexico with $67 billion and the third spot goes to China with $50 billion. Now, with so much money coming into India why won't Indian economy get ranked 5th in the world. A lot has to do with remittances and a major chunk of money is coming from Indian expats living in the Middle East.

Source

The actual numbers will be at least tripled than this because we know Hawala is preferred by most of the Indians to send money to their family from abroad for tax evasion and its the pretty simple and cheap method than sending via money transfer but I think there is no deduction in the transferred money in some cases which I am not sure but in the past people who want to send bulk from or to India prefers Hawala.
Hawala is one of the oldest form of sending money in the World. The government made it illegal because it was used to finance terror activities in the past. In the middle East and in particularly in Dubai you can find a lot of Hawala traders. Although it is still used in transferring money but there has been an increase in opening of NRI account as money in that account is not taxable. The bank charges what is applicable in the form of fee but government cannot tax that money.
