I have been watching this game between Bangladesh U-19 against India U-19. Indians were able to get to a respectable total of 251 after losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. Bangladesh started well and after a few overs they lost 4 wickets. This shows how bad the U-19 team is for this World Cup, they have won the U-19 Cup in the past. I felt that their cricket board is not that well equipped to find good talent and train them. The way these guys are batting now it would be impossible for them to defeat the Indian team.

You seem to have a valid point. Speed is indeed a significant issue for bitcoin, but it is necessary for ensuring the security of a transaction by confirming it on the blockchain. If you have come across the bitcoin 2.0 you're mentioning, with a protocol similar to bitcoin's PoW but faster, could you please share it with us for a visit and verification of its legitimacy?  I'm aware of the Lightning Network, which is remarkably fast but operates as a layer 2 solution for bitcoin. You mentioned a first layer, so it's likely something different.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin, you cannot replicate it, and if someone comes up with Bitcoin 2.0 it won't be Bitcoin. It will be another Litecoin or in other words an altcoin, Bitcoin already has a layer two solution which is known as Lightning Network. LN solves all the issues of Bitcoin but it is still not considered as Bitcoin and those who love it would use it. In the same manner, the BRC20 token is not considered Bitcoin even if it is using the main chain, so whatever the OP is talking about has been tried and Bitcoiners are not interested.

Pretty sure Rohit-Jaiswal will open. WK, I still think selectors will go with Rahul, 3rd no idea in case Pandya will not be there, and Dube is not Pandya's replacement.

This is my probable playing XI (in that order):

Rohit, Jaiswal, Kohli, Surya, KL, Rinku, Pandya, Jadeja, Kuldip, Shami/Siraj, Bumrah.

Looks excellent team to me. Pandya in team gives undeniable batting depth to the batting order.

Surya Kumar Yadav has already been ruled out till February 2024 due to his injury. Not sure whether he will be part of the squad for the World Cup. We will only come to know if he is fit to play IPL 2024. Hardik Pandya will not likely be playing the IPL so consider him not playing for the Cup. Now, if Shubham Dubey plays well in the IPL he will be in the team for sure. The same goes for Kohli, KL Rahul, and Jadeja their performance in IPL will be responsible for their selection. The complete selection would be based on the player's performance in IPL as after IPL the World Cup would start.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 20, 2024, 06:26:41 AM
Looks like Pakistan will be whitewashed by New Zealand in the T20I series. Fourth match was also won by the Kiwis, and now they are up 4-0 in the series. Batting first, Pakistan could only manage to put up a total of 158/5, and that too was possible thanks to some power hitting in the end by Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz. Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson had combined figures of 8-0-49-4, but then Adam Milne conceded the same number of runs from his 4 overs. While chasing, New Zealand was 20/3 at one point. But the partnership between Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips took them home.

Pakistan's team under the new captaincy and coach is performing worse than become a better team. Their losing streak has been continuing since they were beaten by Australia in the test series. Now the same outcome can be seen in the T20 series, there are only two batters who are playing well and only one bowler who is doing good. The rest of the team looks like they are holidaying earlier in Australia and now in New Zealand. When you expect them to make a comeback they generally do the opposite and when you do not have any hopes they become winners. The last match will be played tomorrow and it does not look good so far for them and they might lose again.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: January 20, 2024, 06:17:27 AM
Those coins were only generated by scammers . They come to steal some money then they will left the token alone and it's dead. This kind of trick has been happening for a few years and it has not yet stopped till this time. This is the disadvantage from the free dome.
There was no control over the token issuance and scammers were seeng as an opportunity toe scam others. This is the problem that will never end since crypto was about freedom and it makes the situation becomes even more difficult for the people to verify which token that was real and which is not. People must be aware if there are thousands of shit scam tokens in the market.

Since most of these projects started in 2021 which was during the last bull run, I am assuming most of them were meme coins as meme coins were trending after the Dodge coin got the hype from Elon Musk. A lot of new meme coins were released and most of them were meant to scam investors. Next bull run whatever project gets the hype we will notice scammers coming up with a replica of that project to cashout the hype.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpool: One Of The Best Staking Feature For Rewards. on: January 20, 2024, 05:50:27 AM

Absolutely right, the magnitude of reward depends on quantiy of coins one stakes. Additionally, It is also true that newly launched projects during the bullish market phase are mostly successful due to increased interest of market participants and influx of new capital in the market. I may be proved wrong, but with the entrance of giants like BlackRock and ETFs approvals, the bullish market phase could last longer this time.

Staking in exchange for rewards is always a good idea if someone is interested in generating passive income. It has nothing to do with the bull market or the bear market. Apart from getting airdrops from the launch pool, you will also enjoy an APR percentage depending on the cryptocurrency you are staking. To earn airdrop all you have to do is stake the token of the exchange and get both rewards. Another benefit is that you would pay less transaction fee if you are staking the said exchange token.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: January 20, 2024, 05:41:32 AM
Investing everything in one cryptocurrency is not advisable as you might incur a loss and lose everything. It is always advisable to invest in multiple cryptocurrencies so that if anyone goes down you still have others that can give you a return on your investment. If you still want to invest in one cryptocurrency then investing in Ethereum would be profitable in the long term. Another option would be to invest in exchange tokens like BNB which is backed by the biggest crypto exchange in the world.

Australia win the opening test by 10 wickets against West indies and lead the series. Travis Head brilliant batting 119 runs made a big difference and earned him the well-deserved Man of the Match award. Australia demonstrated their ongoing excellence with the bat and ball with a commanding performance all out West indies in just 120 runs. Australia is demonstrated by the Test match's quick completion in just over two days. congratulation to Australia on a fantastic start to the series winners first match amazing performance against the West Indies.

There is no comparison between Australia and West Indies in test cricket. Australia is far better than the Caribbean team and this is their continuous win after defeating Pakistan earlier. It was expected that Australia would win the first match and they will win comfortably the second one too. What I liked about West Indies is that they did not get an innings defeat as their last batters batted well to give Australia a small lead.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 19, 2024, 06:57:09 AM

Babar Azam batting is also amazing to watch i think Babar will scored 50 plus runs today, they alreday scored 3 consecutive fifties in this series. new Zealand performance in this series is outstanding they win this series by 3-0 and now looking to whitewash pakistan. if pakistan scored big total then they will win this match by good margin and avoid to whitewash from new Zealand.

2 wickets have gone and the latest one is Babar Azam, last three matches he played well but today he got out after scoring 19 runs. The current run rate is not that good it below 8 which does not look good. Pakistan has only been able to score 71 runs at the end of 10 overs and they have another 10 to get to a decent score. At the current run rate, they would be able to get to 150 runs max, they will now need to try to increase the run rate. They have 8 wickets in hand but the problem is that most of their batters are not reliable.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 19, 2024, 06:40:55 AM
Probably the market will go down a little more before the halving and at that time I would start investing. At the moment I am only watching the market as the volatility has gone up and it would not be right to enter now. The good thing is that there were coins that had been pumped earlier before the ETF approval those coins are now going down and soon they will be in a price zone that would be easy for me to invest. I am currently keeping a daily record of the probable that I would be investing in the coming months.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 19, 2024, 06:16:14 AM
Nobody seems to have a good understanding of who Satoshi is. The CEO of JP Morgan basically says that Satoshi might come back and increase the supply of bitcoin. Basically he doesn’t understand that even if he did come back, he wouldn’t be able to increase the supply.

Only way to do that would be to rewrite the code and have a hard fork which no one would run since it would cause chaos pretty much. This happened in the past with the other bitcoin fork coins but the original is the one with the most work and valid chain.

Why do I feel that those who are sitting in the top position of a financial institution are the biggest morons? After reading what the CEO of JP Morgan I am certain that they are one of the biggest clueless morons. I am surprised by how they handle their software development department, I mean with such mentality and understanding they would destroy the developers. This is the reason why these institutions are getting bashed by the normal public or users of that institution.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: January 19, 2024, 06:07:06 AM
I mentioned a price for this coin in my previous post and today the price of the coin has dropped further from there.Today I saw that the price of Bitcoin has dropped to $41,221 dollars in the crypto currency market, maybe its effect is starting to fall on the alt coins.
As far as I know from my experience if the price of Bitcoin doesn't go up then the price of alt coins doesn't go up either. Similarly, the price of Doge Coin has decreased today compared to yesterday.

Bitcoin is dragging the market into red and that is why the price of Dogecoin has gone down. Some analysts are saying that the Bitcoin price might go below 39k and today the price went down because miners have sold 10k Bitcoin which is making the news. Altcoin pricing largely depends on the performance of Bitcoin nothing new about it. It has always been like this because of Bitcoin's dominance in the market and before halving Bitcoin tends to be in the red zone.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 19, 2024, 05:57:50 AM
5 consecutive losses for Team Pakistan in all formats and 3 in a row in T20 against New Zealand. Can they turn the tide and get a win today? New Zealand surface isn't suited for Asian countries with the extra swing and pace it produces. Will be tricky. Game starting in another 40 mins.
I think in today match Pakistan will make a comeback. While they have lost the series of T20I format but in today match I think that Pakistan will try to their best to win today match. Because I think they will not give a chance to New Zealand team to clean sweep.
If Pakistan will take the first turn and will make 200+ runs so I think they will win. But it is hard to cross 200 runs by Pakistan. Because in the previous matches they didn't go above 200 runs. So I hope they will do best today.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan has already lost the series and to save them from more criticism they need to win today. A good batting would help them get to a big score but it looks like that the pitch is good for bowling. I won't be surprised if Pakistan loses wickets initially, Babar Azam has been playing well in this series so a lot of pressure will be on him.

Got the following message when I opened the Binance app today.
~snip

When I clicked on update it took me to Binance.me and asked me to download the updated apk file. Now, it is confirmed that those domain names were created for the Indian community in case if the situation gets bitter with the Indian government. Anyone here experienced the same thing like I did today. I mean did you guys get the same update message and were to directed to any of the domain name as informed by pawanjain in his reply.

Hey Yes !

After reading your post I had just opened my binance app and got the same notification and a button to update the app.
Upon clicking the button it took me to binance.me domain and a popup was displayed to download an apk file.

I haven't opened the app before but after reading the replies on this thread I did open it and got the same information. So, it is clear now that Binance.me is meant for the Indian community until they resolve the issue with the government. I still have a feeling that Binance wont agree with the government on the topic of AML and would continue in the same manner. Any news about other exchanges that have been banned by the Indian government?
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 18, 2024, 07:25:48 AM
In my country the government does tax Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency only when it is being traded on an exchange. The tax is applicable for both profit and loss made during a trade. There is zero tax for holding Bitcoin in a self custody wallet. If in the future the government does tax for holding Bitcoin then how will they know it without the owner of the wallet disclosing about it. What you are saying is not possible unless the government forces it's citizens to disclose about it.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it a legit airdrop or not? on: January 18, 2024, 07:04:56 AM
If anything airdrops are even more of a waste of time than they were on the past, and that is saying something, some time ago you needed to perform a series of tasks without knowing what will be the size of your reward after months of effort.

But now you do not even know if you will get anything out of those activities, as the developers can choose a criteria that disqualifies you and many others that did the same, and since this is a decision taken unilaterally by the developers, I would guess that in many cases they choose a set of standards that affects most of the bounty hunters and that instead benefits them.

Airdrops were once profitable but now they are a waste of time. You have do a bunch of task in order to qualify for an airdrop before a deadline without even knowing what will be amount. You are right about airdrop but in recent past there were a few on the Solana which gave a decent amount. The last big airdrop was when a popular DEX on the Ethereum blockchain gave it users a good amount depending on the number of transactions each user made.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: January 18, 2024, 06:47:01 AM

When Elon Musk supported Doge Coin the price of this coin increased a lot and since then this coin has become very popular. But we have never heard about this coin or seen its price increase before that. When Elon Musk supported this coin many investors invested in this coin and they earned good profits. Currently the price of this coin is $0.08 in the crypto currency market. We can expect that the price of this coin will definitely increase when the bullrun starts in the market.

Before Doge coin became popular it was considered a joke coin. First a tiktok trend was started by a few influencers who wanted Dogecoin to pump. They were informing the reason why everyone should invest in it. The trend became popular and was noticed by Elon Musk. He announced  that Tesla would accept the coin in place of Bitcoin causing the coin to spike and the rest is history. Those who invested in the coin when it spiked are now the ones who are waiting for another spike so that they can book profit. The problem here is that that number is very big than those who were early adopters.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 18, 2024, 06:09:51 AM
What happened to Australia? Against a weak West Indies team they were unable to bat. Not a big lead for the West Indies team still they are struggling again with the bat. They have lost 4 wickets in quick intervals and are now trailing by 67 runs. Hazelwood is again doing the damage, he has already taken 4 wickets and looks like a 5 wicket haul in the making today. In the first innings, he had taken 4 wickets with Pat Cummins, today the captain has not taken any wickets but might get a few soon.

The third and final T20 match India plays before participating in the T20WC will be played today. I am not expecting any big miracles from the Afghanistan team as I feel they will lose today. This series was to test the new players and so far Shubham Dubey, and Rinku Singh have been good with the bat. I feel today we might see some changes as there are a couple of players who should be given a chance. I feel Washington Sundar, Sanju Samson, and Ravi Bishnoi should be part of the playing squad. Rohit Sharma has not been able to get any runs in this series which is quite concerning. I hope he gets to debut with runs today otherwise his chance of being a captain for the T20WC would become uncertain.

Everything was going bad until Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh came to rescue. With all thier efforts the bowlers started leaking runs as if they did in it for the first time. Avesh Khan, why are the selectors so crazy about this bowler. He concedded more runs than anyone amd he is the reason why India went into super over.
