1002  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: April 15, 2016, 11:05:09 PM
Selling altcoin could be a good idea. Now, even the most popular altcoin, the Ethereum is dropping in price.

Selling altcoin and making profit is possible only at certain time. Altcoin trading at the right time and with the profit investing in bitcoin is a right decision.

I sold some of my Ethereum and Monero and convert into bitcoin. I will buy them when the price is low.

Good on your profit making tactics. Keeping alts for the growth of bitcoin is now turned to one method of earning bitcoin through alts.

I sold my Ethereum too early. I sold most of them when the price was $1.5. I thought it was high then.

You still managed a good profit. Smiley
Think of what you have managed to make, rather than what you missed out on. It always helps.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 15, 2016, 11:03:30 PM
IPL is shady event and anything can happen there so it is hard to predict about any match future what will be happen there, it is really what happened to Punjab and how easily Dehli won this match, it is great example of match fixing.

How can you tell that this match is fixed, because Delhi won it dont mean that this match was fixed, delhi is also having good batsman and bowlers and today they showed what they can do if they properly arrange players and play with them then they can be on top this season.

Yes, one sided matches are galore in all sports. Nobody claims that those matches are fixed.
Mishra had a good spell with the ball and that won the match.
It would be wrong to bring fixing into the discussion without any evidence.
1004  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: April 15, 2016, 03:06:41 PM
This is the disadvantage (and STRENGTH!!) of such a highly extremely secure private keys we have.

Whenever a coin is lost, it is equivalent to having it's value distributed evenly to other circulating coins. Similarly, if a coin is ever found/recovered, it will regain it's value from other coins.

Maybe this is one of the reasons Satoshi is keeping 1M coins to himself...?

If those coins come into the market, 2 things will happen.

The supply will increase tremendously, the market could crash due to that.
Satoshi's identity will be revealed. The community would know who to turn to. The optimism related to that would probably result in a bull run.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 15, 2016, 02:44:58 PM
Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab both teams lost their matches so that this match will be very interesting but technically Kings XI Punjab is looking good side and i think it can win this match in the end there.

Kings XI need to put a big total on the board to exert pressure on the Daredevils. If Braithwaite gets going, Delhi will surely win.  Grin
To top it, Kings XI have lost a wicket to a silly run out.
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: European Banks Crash For 4th Straight Week on: April 15, 2016, 02:41:28 PM
Well banks need to readjust their loans and their portfolio, and well big account need to take care as from any moment they can close the doors, but these happens on the countries facing financial problems first,Greece were an example for the people to learn how the system works against them.

Adjusting or changing the entire portfolio mix is not a quick process, and is definitely a painful process.
Spain is an example where this adjustment is taking place.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 14, 2016, 02:48:10 PM
I have won last match on Gujrat Lions. It is promising team with all the best players.Today again I have chosen Gujrat Lions against Rising Pune Supergiants.I think we will see Gujrat Lions to reach in advanced level of IPL edition this time.

I will go the other way around. Think of it as the extreme faith I have in Dhoni.
Let us see how much they manage to score. The initial overs have gone well for Pune.
1008  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the banks dont give free money? Why they loan it? on: April 14, 2016, 12:03:52 PM
Why should the bank give you free money? Nothing is free so you will have to loan it. Banks loan out their money because you will have to pay more money then what you lend from the bank.

For example, if im a government and i want to build a railroad, why i need a loan from central bank? I can print my own money without loan, without interest and build the railroad.

Tell that to Germany in the 1920s. They thought they could just print all the money they wanted to pay off all their debts and it lead to hyperinflation. The more money you print for no reason, the less it's worth. That's the problem with your concept of "free money for everyone." If you just print money for no reason - if the money isn't linked to any actual value that has been created - then it is worthless. Money has value because it represents something that already exists that has value.

Not just Germany, countries all over the world suffer from inflation. You have cases of hyperinflation popping up now and then.
Apart from Germany, Zimbabwe is a good example. Leaders can easily destroy countries by their recklessness.

Asking for donations/begging is against the rules.
Read rule #7 here.

1010  Economy / Economics / Re: Impressive growht of market cap since oct 2015 on: April 14, 2016, 11:55:40 AM
put 1y zoom (top right) on this page https://cryptolization.com/

Since oct 2015 the market cap of all cryptocurrencies has grown more than x3....very impressive...

That is indeed impressive.
Bitcoin which was languishing around $200 for a long time has now doubled.
Ethereum's rise also would have contributed to the overall increase in market cap.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 12, 2016, 10:54:19 PM
Finally this game is looking to be a cracking one...................
The way they are playing is great. Looking 200 on the board with Watson still to come...............
Yes. Today's game is very interesting and both teams look prepared for the game. Yesterday as well was a cracker game but I hope today's game is worth watching where both the teams play tough and don't lose on early wickets.
I'm disappointed with Gayle.

The game was great but again not that entertaining as we didn't see goo chase, and I really feel that Morgan should be pushed up the order as he is not getting the big opportunity in the middle order.

They possibly felt that Morgan could pull them over in a late surge. With 228 to chase, I think Sunrisers had lost the match even before they began.
1012  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: April 12, 2016, 10:52:23 PM
Selling is not smart at all at this certain point of this year because the price is not really profitable in my eyes.
Compared with the upcoming months it would not be good to sell them now if you know that the price is gonna rise this year soon or later.
Yes this is not the perfect time to sell your bitcoin. As halving is near hold on your coins and get a high profit during the period is halving. Many users are aware of that and doing the same.

All these users will be very disappointed if there is no price increase after the halving. If these holders exit in disappointment, the price could see a huge drop.
1013  Economy / Economics / Re: Most crypto-currencies values went down in the last 4 days? on: April 12, 2016, 04:48:42 PM
Bitcoin's drop is largely insignificant.
There has been substantial downward movement in other alts. Except a few illiquid alts which have been pumped up, most others have gone down. The big surprise is that Ethereum has been taken down along with them.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 12, 2016, 04:46:38 PM
228 off 120 balls..............
This is going to be an exciting chase but RCB is right on top in this game now............

We know that such chases are not impossible, but with Dhawan gone already, I don't think Sunrisers have a chance.
RCB have this one in the bag.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: April 08, 2016, 04:24:34 AM
Even before the start of the tournament ,problems started, there was a stay to forfeit the first match in mumbai ,but Bombay High Court declines to  stay IPL opener . there is a bit of a injury concerns in IPL,Yuvraj Singh is out of first two weeks of IPL

The stay was not granted, but the other matches in Maharashtra are still under threat. The next hearing for the case is on April 12. Let us see if the Government is supportive of holding all the matches in the state.

1017  Economy / Economics / Re: deflation can cause economic problems on: April 08, 2016, 04:12:37 AM
. Isn't that a huge problem? I learned in economics class that deflation can cause economic problems.

Bitcoin is not going to be the only currency around. People would not like to borrow in a deflationary currency, they would just use alternative currencies. Borrowing and consumption will go along.
1018  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed 'is a god that has failed' on: April 08, 2016, 04:08:15 AM
Quote
Declaring that the government monopoly on money is the source of all monetary evil, Friedrich Hayek, the great Austrian economist, predicted that capitalism would be saved by monetary competition from the private sector, which today can come from bitcoin and a new tie to gold. As the great British scholar Matt Ridley explained: "The government monopoly of money leads not just to the suppression of innovation and experiment, not just to inflation and debasement, not just to financial crises, but to inequality, too.

I don't think Hayek had Bitcoin in mind when he made that statement. Private money was supposed to maintain its value much better than what the public sector has done, but would presumably do its work better.
1019  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: April 06, 2016, 03:30:49 AM
I don't have a HUGE strategy, just waiting for price increase and will sell my coins. Easy way to get money, no need to be so smart to do this  Wink

Well, the smartness involved in that strategy is getting bitcoins when the price is low.
If you managed to enter when the price was in double digits or low triple digits, you have already executed your strategy well.  Smiley
1020  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: April 06, 2016, 03:26:37 AM
The most bad news related to bitcoins comes from companies agaisnt it ,being the main fact they worry to loose costumers ,or already some of them left, soo they pay to someones write about the how bad bitcoin is for the community and the world. But recently microsoft said sorry for the wrong informations passed ,they are working with bitcoin and Disney working at their own blockchain based on the bitcoin techonlogy, soo they cant clean .

I agree, those haters really are trying to destroy Bitcoin giving it bad publicity. But as we all know they will not succeed. Bitcoin is rising now, slowly but rising anyway.

Yes, nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.
Banks and financial institutions have to adapt, or they will be left behind.
