1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the universe/multiverses/reality a blockchain-like technology like bitcoin? on: February 16, 2017, 05:33:14 PM
satoshi QT would be the bigbang (in your story)

core would be the invention of religion trying to change things and confuse people as to how the way of life should be.
pretending they have been around since the beginning and their rule is law, their preachers are law and everyone should follow their religion

It's funny how you use whatever you can to throw your blockstream fud propaganda. Sounds like the only cultists is you by thinking satoshi was jesus christ himself.

Sorry but satoshi fucked up numerous times as we are seeing along the way, case in point:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/how-satoshi-messed-his-math-and-how-these-academics-just-fixed-it/

Looks like god's big bang needs fixing.

The byteball distribution thing has as far as I know, been finished recently

No, it has not. A very small amount was distributed up to now and there are many more rounds ahead.

Quote
Now what we have is a bunch of people with basically free byteballs ready to dump...

You have to be really stupid to dump it now, but since the world is full of dumb retards, some of them will dump for sure.

How is it dumb to get free profits? Unfortunately I forecast nothing but dumps evertime that a distribution round happens, or otherwise a long downtrend until the total distribution ends.

When will all coins be in circulation?
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 15, 2017, 04:19:25 PM
@thejaytiesto. What about the Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquaio fight? Did that look like a master class in boxing to you? With all the hype and the money they put into that fight, it has become one of the biggest flops and disappointments in the history of boxing. The same opinion was said by both casual fans and real educated fans. Some sports writers started writing about how boxing is dying after that fight. That is all because of the corruptible nature of money that is running the sport.

Indeed, the fight was a disappointment, but it was expected. Floyd Mayweather would do his usual routine, fight a conservative fight, score points... why is it all Floyd Mayweather's fault tho? Isn't it Manny Pacquiao's fault that he wasn't able to KO Mayweather or at least cause any amounts of relevant damage?
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Share your portfolio on: February 14, 2017, 06:58:32 PM
Well for me that would go like that

1 Bitcoin
2 Bitcoin
...
9 Bitcoin
...
999 Bitcoin
etc.

I don't see ANY reason to get involved with any other crypto, its like copy paste from bitcoin with minor changes without computing power that makes it secure.

Indeed, im all in on bitcoin right now my self, but sometime some interesting stuff happens, byteball offers some changes, but not enough to make us rich I think.

I just want to get rich by investing in a new altcoin that brings new solid competition for bitcoin, until then im afraid there are no alts worth holding at least long term..
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Worlds Most Advanced Cryptocurrency Software? on: February 14, 2017, 05:59:47 PM

Can this coin deliver the same amount of security as bitcoin (backed by the strongest network on earth) while delivering faster and cheaper transactions in a decentralized onchain fashion?

If not, then it's probably not undervalued and not that advanced, because that is the main thing that is missing the crypto puzzle.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So now we've run dry on gimmicks and innovation we're back to meme on: February 14, 2017, 04:50:43 PM
What annoys me is that people are jumping on these meme coins and driving their price through the roof instead of actually supporting coins that have something new to offer.

But what are those coins that have something new to offer?

We've had the same damn coins for a while, there is nothing new under the sun. Maybe Byteball is interesting with the DAG technology thing, but since they gave free coins in the distribution to BTC holders, the dump was guaranteed.

In any case, meme coins have short lived pumps that disappear quick, it's too hard to profit from them and you risk holding an stagnating bag of shit.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: February 14, 2017, 04:19:58 PM
Long term positions aren't luck, or that is what I like to think. I agree with the investor Warren Buffet, with the notion that you cannot predict when something is going to happen, but you can predict what is going to happen, or at least with bigger chances than when.

I know bitcoin will be a huge thing, I dont know when, but it will, therefore, hold long term.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 14, 2017, 01:49:43 PM
@thejaytiesto. No. I am so very sure that it will not be exciting. This is a fight made because of money. After a few rounds just looking at each other. Maybe Conor will attack and hit air because Floyd will dodge and weave and then do nothing else besides the occasional jab and maybe the cross. The referee will declare Floyd the winner and everyone will say what just happened? Where is the action? That was boring.

Conor and Floyd will get a multimillion pay day each while the fans will feel cheated once again. That is the art of the hustle by Floyd and Conor for you.

Seeing Floyd dodge and making pros look like amateurs is exciting for me, sorry that it isn't for you.

Also everyone was saying the same about the Floyd-Canelo fight, and Floyd gave a masterclass in boxing, Canelo was looking like a chump, so imagine what he can do to Conor.

For me the excitement is there. Seeing Floyd do his routine and Conor looking for the KO.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin segwit activation. What happened? on: February 13, 2017, 06:50:10 PM
Im not sure about, apparently not even CSV is still yet adopted by litecoin and CSV got adopted by bitcoin very quick.

CSV miner support since activation period start   658 (11.40%)

Why the fuck CSV was never adopted by litecoin? and what about BIP9?

I think litecoin is just tiny coin and miners are too lazy to get anything done.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting upcoming altcoin ICOs? on: February 13, 2017, 05:25:13 PM
I want to invest little of my balance into ICOs. I know they are controversial. Just want to try it.

What upcoming altcoin ICOs would you recommend to invest in?

I like to use that radar something website to see the upcoming ICO's. You can also look at how much BTC they have reunited, and then you can look at how the profit looks for investors... in most cases is not very good, but in the few occasions where its a success, it works real good.

I dont see a single ICO worth investing at at the moment so i would like to know more.
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: The China Effect on: February 13, 2017, 04:25:30 PM
China is just playing his cards... it's all about timing. They are dropping all those small bombs, trying to constantly dip the price and profit from it. It's obvious there are some people out there with insider information getting rich with all those dips that happen whenever the PCOS has to say anything, notice that it doesn't matter what they are saying, but when. The result is always the same: a dip.

But that has a short lived effect, eventually they will run out of steam, once all the cards are used, they will have nothing left, all those programmed dips will not happen again and Bitcoin will rise higher than Huge Black Woman's diabetes.

I agree, and looks like they are running out of cards on their deck, and once that happens, the party is on. We will basically have a bunch of idiots that panic sold their cheap bitcoins to the chinese government. I have no doubt in my mind that the chinese government is creating secretly a stack of bitcoin to store long term and become the #1 world ranked country of bitcoin reserve. Bitcoin is the new gold and china will dominate if the rest of the countries dont wake the fuck up and start buying.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 13, 2017, 01:20:25 PM
I would be so scared to watch this fight, because if Mayweather for some reason gets KO'd (it can happen) it would be the end of his career. I mean I think people is not really considering the massive risk that this is for Mayweather. McGregor is not even a boxer and expected to lose, so Mayweather has all the pressure. People are not valuing that enough. It would be a total success if the fight happens, I will buy a ticket for sure.

My God the hype has truly gotten into your head. This is my prediction for this fight, the winner will be Floyd Mayweather via a unanimous decision. The fight will be boring exactly like Floyd's fight versus Pacman.

If all of you want an exciting fight, Conor versus Pacman will be better. We'll see a clinic of how to shut the Irishman up.

Mayweather is more exciting because he is undefeated and he is gambling with his legacy. Also for true fans of boxings that enjoy the sweet science and appreciate the defensive style, watching Mayweather fight is always a sight to behold.

With that being said, here is leaked footage of Connor training boxing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qweMcL3Cuo

Floyd vs Conor will not be exciting. It will be exactly like the Floyd versus Manny Pacquaio fight. After so much hype and money invested the fans, both casual and eager fans were very disappointed with the outcome and it became one of the most boring fights in boxing history. Many felt they were cheated and after that some sports journalists were declaring that boxing as a sport is dying.

It will be exciting, Connor will be aggressive, he has nothing to lose. He is the underdog, it's his first boxing match, and everyone expects him to lose, so he has no fear.

Mayweather puts his legacy on stake, but he is the master of tactic boxing.

We will see what happens.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 208: Holm vs De Randamie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 13, 2017, 12:04:23 PM
Yeep, the referrer was so stupid and out of his mind. He should have stopped the fight at the second time De Randamie punched Holm out of time, or at least deduct a god damn point, that was uncalled for.

Im glad I didn't took any bets. Both wins a total gamble, very diffuse wins.
The referee was really inexperienced to feature in a title match and the commission has to be blamed as it could have being a draw have they deducted the points for hitting twice which is not acceptable under any circumstances ,i lost a big parlay because of this loss and UFC 208 was an predictable event and all of the fighters i wagged won the match.

The ref did pretty good as far as I know, I think the rules are kind of different when woman are fighting in the ring.

The second cheap shot that Germaine de Randamie did after the round looked accidental.

I am not sure if anyone realized but even though Holly Holm lost that fight she was really professional with her fighting style.

The imbalance of the two fighters was kind of in plain site in my opinion, it was like Professional vs Intermediate (the after the round punches is another discussion, I won't get into that lol).

Example shown in this video:

0:27-0:33
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oCd-Cd8uQc

Anderson Silva and Derek Brunson showed who was more professional when it comes down to fighting. Even though Derek Brunson seemed to get more hits in, he didn't have enough to intimidate his opponent. Silva was pretty much chilling. I thought that he lost the match but since UFC changed their scoring system Anderson Silva won.

I feel like Anderson Silva might retire soon though...

The referrer was a disaster, this guy was out of his mind to not stop the damn fight after she punched Holms two times, the points should have been deducted from the match!

This guy should be fired. Rules are the same for men and women: don't hit each other after the damn bell, it doesn't take rocket science to know this.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Byteball hype over or time to buy? on: February 12, 2017, 07:07:26 PM
The byteball distribution thing has as far as I know, been finished recently, I think yesterday was the last day.

Now what we have is a bunch of people with basically free byteballs ready to dump... the price indeed tanked a bit, but it has gone up a bit in the last hours.

My question is: Does this coin have strong enough technological value to keep growing, or are we about to withness an instadump of all those free byteballs that have been distributed? particularly as soon as byteball hits the big P? (poloniex, god of dumps...)

So, good time to get in, or wait for a big ass dump?
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What it's going to happen with ETH? What do you think? on: February 12, 2017, 05:37:50 PM
Yep the marketcap is big, that is one of the best things of this coin, you can do some speculative trading without fear of the coin getting delisted, but other than that, it's a gamble. I would wait for the coin to hit a real low and get a position.

As far as I know, they need to hard fork again... hard forks are a mess and usually cause price crashes. I will personally wait to see how the PoS transition goes.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 208: Holm vs De Randamie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 12, 2017, 04:17:35 PM
So as predicted, we saw an Anderson Silva that is past his prime and won a very unclear fight, in my book he didn't won but whatever.

Germaine de Randamie had a good kick boxing as expected but she should have been disqualified by punching after the belt 2 fucking times, what a scam. Holly Holm had a great kick to the head and a couple of good punches. Holms deserved the win because of the good shots she had and the scam that was Germaine not getting a disqualified.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a chance Satoshi is dead? Car accident, heart failure, ect on: February 12, 2017, 03:41:51 PM
Nobody seems to have a good answer to where Satoshi has gone and why he and his coins have not been seen for years.

I can think of only a few reasons why that might be.

1. He wants btc to succeed and knows spending his coins will cause a massive panic.
2. He is already rich and has no need for more money.
3. He was hired/tagged by an agency or institution and is under NDA.
4. He is sick of btc.
5. He hates attention/spotlight and does not want the leadership role.

What if the answer is even simpler? He had a car accident / heart failure and died. His wallets are lost and therefore never spent.

This is so much more reasonable and probable than "satoshi is an AI" or other crazy theories here. It's sad, but I think this might be the truth.

The chances that he is dead are rather high. He could have been the guy that had that terminal illness and got his body cryogenized, and he was the first miner and the person to recieve a transaction from satoshi himself, I forgot his name, how was it?

Even if he isnt that guy, im pretty sure he could have been another guy that is now dead. That, or he forget his keys, lost them, or he is a hardcore long term holder.

Btw, I just saw the news of Hal Finney bitcointalk account being accessed after years of innactivity (since he is dead) so probably he got hacked. Of course the satoshi rumors started again connecting that event with him:

Casual fan like me don't enjoy watching Mayweather style in the ring. No excitement like the other boxer in his generation (Manny). Although a lot of fans follow him and watch his fight, it seems to be that they are buying tickets to his fight to see him lose.  Grin

Well I think even casual fans would enjoy Mayweather vs ConorMcGregor only because of the cash of the 2 different sports, also again, Mayweather is an obviously big deal in every fight because he is undefeated, also if he wins he would break Rocky Marciano's record. Can't miss that fight.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 208: Holm vs De Randamie Info and Prediction Thread on: February 11, 2017, 05:37:50 PM
he use to sweep his leg kick from a distant and knock vitor using front kick back then but this time its something that you don't regularly see during his fights. i bet he can't use his legs when on ground to triangle lock his opponents.

I bet for Brunson. huge win.
In this match Anderson Silva is the underdog and if you bet for him you could win huge Smiley Brunson is coming into this match after a loss and that too in the first round ,Anderson broke his leg but his performance were not that bad in all of his losses ,he is the underdog because he has lost 4 in a row and his age is against him in the eyes of the bookies. My bet is on Silva .

he is now the underdog? lol all the more. what i mean when i say huge win is that sure win. bet big and win big.
if he lose 4 fights in a row, chances is that he will lose the next fifth. his leg was a career ender, he should have retire after it. i'm a spider fan but after two fights with weidman, retiring is something he should have considered.

Let's not kid ourselves here... Anderson Silva is a living legend and a hall of famer, no doubt about that, but the guy is starting to be too old for this shit. He has taken too much punishment. He can win? sure, he can defeat anyone, but as age creeps in, most fighters start being the underdogs at least in terms of odds.

And speaking about odds... surprised to see Randamie with better odds than Holms. Randamie has a very limited UFC record.
