1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 08:38:54 PM
Kids love to learn new things especially if it’s align with their interest and passion. And I think bitcoin may not be one of their favorites at a very young age since it’s quite complicated and hard to understand, and if you force them to learn about it, they will just ignore the idea. That’s why we just have to wait until they’re ready to grasp new ideas about bitcoin. Bitcoin is actually highly precious and valuable that any individual would really crave, but not for kids since all they want is just to have fun and play most of their times.
1002  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 19, 2023, 09:48:28 PM
I'll buy the property and have it rented while I am also renting. But I'll make sure that the rent of my own property is going to be enough to cover the mortgage and my rent as well.
I'll have a cash flow and that's going to help me understand why renting is just temporary and I'll still want to own my property in the near future. It may take time and it's not easy but the important thing is I'll own it someday when I am done paying the property. But the best scenario is that when you're able and you've got enough savings and cash, I'll pay the property cash so that I won't think of anything everyday for how many years and I can sleep tight and very well in the evening.
It’s always a perfect choice to buy the property and let it do business for you. That will make you financially secured in the long run, as long as you manage your finances well and not try to live above your means.  But if you think renting this time is all you can afford, since you don’t want to take a loan also, then I think it’s also reasonable enough as long as you also save for your future plans.

Well, I think that will do for the mean time and I strongly think that it's what most people are doing since they don't have that much spare yet to buy a lot and a house on it to make it a business or an asset. It's pretty much understandable considering that the price of a land these days are quite expensive plus there are tax and other bills that needed to be considered too before owning it. Just for the mean time though but don't settle with anything less because as long as we're still breathing, we always have the chance to be comfortable in life.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: June 19, 2023, 09:37:32 PM

But we don't know if Diaz' camp is just saying that he's having hard time, we don't know if this is just their strategy.
I hope its a strategy so Jake will come soft against Nate, but one thing I'm sure of is there will be a lot of blood here because Nate is very prone to cut I have not seen him fight without a cut, his face is always full of blood if he gets cut in the early rounds he'll be in trouble, Jake is so good at exploiting his opponent's weak spot.
Two things will happen here Jake will knock out Nate or the referee will stop the fight due to Nate's bad cut.

I definitely don't think that it will be a reason for Jake Paul to be soft towards Nate Diaz especially now where Jake is looking for something and someone to bounce back after that loss he acquired through Tommy Fury. That said, Jake Paul will give everything he got just to get this fight in his favor, he doesn't have to get the judge's attention because he just have to do what he does best and because this is his sport and not Nate.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: June 19, 2023, 09:17:24 PM
The father of the boy must be a core Christian believer or a Muslim who sees gambling as a sin. They are not moved or cared about the amount their son won from gambling, they are going to reject it.

For the man's religion and beliefs, he might be right but for the societal sense, he is wrong. You don't make any sense in rejecting such a huge amount of money since it is not stolen or duped by people.

There's no way on earth, the boy would like to adhere to what his father said ''to return the money''. He will use the money to earn the support of all his family members which will make his father have a change of heart toward him because there is no way the money will be returned at this time Nigerian's homes are facing financial crises in rich and poor families.
The fact that the boy was responsible enough to have approached the father before the rejection shows how deeply rooted the family is in being responsible and religious,  but that is not the case here,  the case is why and what justification the father has to have rejected the boy and also what becomes of the boy going forward.

Because you can't say that the boy will turn out better by the father rejecting him rather than putting him under close observation to know and monitor his spending and lifestyle,  what the father did was not wise enough in my observations.
Right! He needs his father now more than ever to guide him and steer him towards the right direction so that he will not be in an unwanted situations because the boy now has enough money to do what he wants and just because he's just a boy even though his age is already legal to do some things, he can still do some things that the father could not imagine as they money he have now can make him steer into a different direction that is different from the father's teachings.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: June 19, 2023, 08:44:33 PM
Wife knows best.  Grin

I was a bit addicted to gambling since my childhood but under my mother's rule I often abstained from gambling. But nowadays with various online casinos and gambling sites, my parents can't stop me from gambling. But one thing is very important because I am very young now and have the ability to control myself. So I don't indulge myself in gambling but my wife makes me this bad in Many times the urge to break out of the habit. However, with my wife's encouragement, I devote very little time to online casinos and gambling. I now stay away from betting only on IPL cricket. But my wife won't let me catch more than one bet every day.
At least you've got your wife on your back and she's there to monitor you if you're doing good or not. She just want to moderate you from gambling and that's typical with wives that's concern to their husbands.

Just like to the friend of OP, it's needed to give that ultimatum or else that guy won't stop and will continue to hide things from her.
True. It’s a good thing that you have your wife with you who’s willing to correct you whenever she sees some irresponsible acts of you. But with OP’s friend, his wife’s decision is already expected since he has been dishonest on her in the first place. And if his wife will tolerate that, he will end up completely addicted in gambling and gambling addiction might only ruin their marriage at the end of the day.

That is the very reason why we should be transparent towards our own wife because if their trust will be broken, it will be very hard for us to keep it again in a stable state and in one place as we already know what can likely happen afterwards after they feel betrayed because their husbands chose to keep certain things behind close doors even if they themselves will be heavily affected once their husbands are addicted because of the gambling. At the very least, they have the right to be informed and know what is happening in our lives as that is our vow.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 19, 2023, 08:19:19 PM
The Brooklyn Nets are trying to make a deal with the Pelicans to get Zion Williamson for Ben Simmons and a whole bunch of draft picks.  This seems like a terrible deal for both teams if I'm being honest.  The Pelicans getting Ben Simmons would pretty much destroy their team in my opinion and kick off a rebuild with their picks.  Meanwhile the Nets would give up all their picks assuring that they suck for years while picking up Zion, who has been injury prone and won't be there to carry the team.  Both teams are a disaster, but the Pelicans really have to get a win now attitude while they have Ingram and Zion on the roster.

They just have to forget about that deal that could potentially destroy their team any further, I get that they are just desperate right now because their team is not getting any positive outcome in almost every post season for the last five years and what they can always do was to start good and dominate league for let's say two weeks but after that, they are back on themselves, inconsistent, having struggles to find the right rhythms and other factors that prevents the team from moving up.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 18, 2023, 09:05:11 PM
But I think and maybe majority here will agree, than Nonito can still fight anyone at bantamweight not name Inoue and he has a likely chance to beat everyone of them and become a bantamweight champion again.

Agree and I mentioned it too before.

Likely, this fight will be Donaire's turning point in his decision if he will still continue to fight or not. However, it's good if Donaire will be matched against the top contenders in the 118 instead of Santiago although just to be clear, I'm not degrading the latter here.

Moving forward, if Donaire can't even stop Santiago, who is just currently unranked by the WBC, then time to hang his gloves now. But if successful to win, he will join Takuma Inoue (WBA) and Jason Moloney (WBC) as his co-title holders in the 118 and hoping for a unification match as his next fight.

This indeed will be the point where he will decide the hang up his gloves or not, depends of the outcome and the reason behind it, because if he can win against Santiago but barely, then I think it's really time for Donaire to let go. Although it's his discretion what he will do next but he surely want to have a statement against Santiago and win via KO to know that his chances are still strong to go for another opponent that are ranked much higher than Santiago.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 18, 2023, 08:07:20 PM
Of course, we will see this happen, and they will no longer make excuses to ruin people's expectations.

Not until the official weigh-in happened, sh*t happened, mate Cheesy. It's Spence. Anyways, yes hopefully, no more bullsh*t excuses that can possibly delay or postponed the fight.

The hype won't be there anymore if that happened again and again after all the dramas just to make this big fight happen.
Really hard to disagree with you on that one mate Grin Let's just hope that this time, there will be no sudden announcement or excuse just to make the fight longer, so that we can already witness which of them is durable than the other and much stronger. But in-case that happens, we should not be surprised about it because we probably all know who's behind all of this as it will not be the first time that they will try to execute some foolish tricks to delay the fight.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 18, 2023, 07:43:20 PM
many folks have said that he (Jokic) brought the playing style of Europe towards the NBA.
And the truth is that from other region are the ones that's dominating the NBA on its own land.
When I saw one article about how the Miami Heat was defeated twice by a European, it made me smile. Dirk Nowitzki and Nikola Jokic. Truly, the NBA today is changing, thanks to the Europeans that had been coming into the league. Who knows, maybe Doncic is next. Another player who plays differently from other players. No such thing as the "hops" or "speed" but he can definitely score inside by only using his brain and his strong body. Vice versa of Ja Morant who is relying upon his speed and hops.

Nikola Jokic changed the way we look at NBA and especially at the younger players who never saw how Magic, Bill, and Larry did it. It's almost like this, the Joker revived a strong big man, not like a "Shaq" big man but more of a versatile big man. And, I have no doubts Jokic will keep on passing more records from way back some of us were born.
It just seems that the NBA isn't marketing Jokic for some reason but it's good that these Europeans have made a lot of changes to NBA's basketball.
Whilst those teams aren't focused on having a big man that can do almost everything, shoot outside, assist, get free-throw shooting, rebounds. Almost everything.
The Nuggets is so blessed to have Joker and they've managed to take care of him until they've finally got their first ever NBA title.
The same with what Dallas Mavericks did for Dirk Nowitzki, they didn't let him go, took care of him, and somehow managed to get a championship with him. I love teams that do this, just being patient and waiting for the right time with one loyal player. I wish the Denver Nuggets will do the same thing for the Joker, become the face of their franchise, and better a duo that will bring them another championship with Jamal Murray.

We can say it is really their time now. From being defeated in the bubble, to Murray being injured and Nikola Jokic shouldering everything yet he still made it to the playoffs without his co-stars. Jamal Murray is the key to their win, he said it and then he did it. He actually knows they will make it this time with his healthy body and then Michael Porter Jr. is also at the prime of his career.
The addition of Aaron Gordon is a big one instead of Gary Harris, they now have an elite defender who could stop superstars like KD, Lebron, and Butler.

Hopefully that will be the case and that they will really take care of what they have right now because it's not every time they can land someone like Murray especially Jokic who can make any team suffer without meaning it, but who knows, there might be a time that both franchise and player will have some misunderstanding on their contract. But looking at it right now, I think it's still safe that Jokic will remain a Nuggets for a couple more years.

Yes, it will be safe to say that Nikola Jokic will remain and play for the franchise for long because if his current contract will end and other teams will start pushing for a price just to get him, the Nuggets will always lead when it comes to figures so that they can still be with Jokic and build another team around him if it's needed in the few years to come. But right now, for at least 2-3 years, I'm pretty much inclined that they can still dominate the league while having the same roster as long as they will remain healthy and agile.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: June 17, 2023, 10:01:44 PM
Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you

Wait, I'm quite confused with what you've said because you said that you're just new here, yet you also said that you have bought as nice amount of BTC as well since 2010.

If you're already investing that long in cryptocurrency, then by now you should be accustomed and familiar already with what are the top performing and working altcoins that could be nice to invest and forget until the year 2026, even the promising ones, you should know it already.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 17, 2023, 09:20:36 PM

Well, it's official.

Ja Morant has be suspended for 25 games: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37863825/sources-grizzlies-ja-morant-suspended-25-games-nba

In my opinion, he got lucky. Many outlets spoke of a much higher punishment, even up to 1 season. The number which circulated the most was 30 games. So now it's "just" 25 games, seems like a good deal for him.

If he will learn something from the whole situation is a different story, der Grizzlies can only hope he does.
This will definitely harm Memphis to play without him in the first 30% of the season, at least they don't have to pay him for that time I guess.  Grin

I think he got the right punishment. If he had been suspended for 1 season, it could have been a little heavy, but it wouldn't have been right if he had been punished less. The NBA needs to be serious about this, be very sensitive about violence and other things. Things like guns, knives, fights cause people to set a bad example.
I think this kind of thing should have no place in sports Smiley

25 games without pay, right? I think that's a lot of money for him, so he deserves that kind of punishment. But this is his second offense. I would have said that he deserves a second chance, but this is his third chance. So, I hope he won't make a mistake after this.

What he showed was promoting violence, and that's not what sports promote.

Sports are about pure entertainment and brotherhood among players with the right cause.

He'll be alright because he chose that road and I know that he knows fully what he is doing. I always believe that the first one might be a mistake, but the 2nd time is not.

Ja Morant will now have to pay for what he has done and he should be more careful about his actions because he is now an icon in the NBA with a bright future. He should think about his daughter more rather than doing some lame things that will ruin his career.

I think 25-game suspension is just a start though.
1012  Economy / Gambling / Re: 4CryptoBet New Online Crypto Casino and Sports Betting! on: June 15, 2023, 07:47:48 PM

it doesn't matter what the OP writes because he is a liar and 4cryptobet is just a scam 100%

the company stopped paying extremely quickly, at first they probably paid a few players, at the moment it's some zombie sportsbook that will never pay anyone, anyway it's not surprising because it's hard to believe that they have any customers making deposits there.

I have gone through your post history, and it seems that you have many complaints about 4CryptoBet. If you have sufficient evidence to support your claim, I suggest you create a scam accusation. This action would not only benefit you but also the community as a whole.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 15, 2023, 07:23:25 PM
By the way, McCarthy from the "BLACKWATER" team has played very well to make the team as a winner, the guy scored 30 points against "Converge," and from the later team the Justine Arana did his best with the score of 32, but still the BLACKWATER was victorious in the match by scoring 102 points against Converge.

They can enjoy winning in the exhibition games, but I have doubts about their success once the PBA season officially opens. These players certainly have talent, but we cannot deny the fact that Blackwater will likely continue to serve as a farm team for bigger teams in the PBA.

Most probably, during the regular season, every game is serious and matters, so the better team typically wins. In the case of Blackwater, I believe they have a similar overall standing to the DYIP, which is mostly at the bottom.

As of the current rankings, they have already won three games with only two losses, defeating the following teams:

Converge by 5 points
Terraferma DYIP by 6 points
NLEX by 5 points

In actual games, I doubt they will be able to beat NLEX and Converge.
1014  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 15, 2023, 06:47:46 PM
^ That is why we are in trading, don't focus only on the profit because trading is not all about profit, it is also to learn knowledge while you are trading. Because by investing in your knowledge, developing effective trading strategies, and staying disciplined, you can increase your chances of success in the trading world. It is very important for trading as a skill that requires continuous learning and adaptation, rather than relying solely on luck or chance as in gambling. So, therefore, trading without knowledge is gambling.

I confirm your statement, but it is practiced by many traders. I am sure there are many traders who do not have a good knowledge of how the crypto market works and they only hope to profit from the volatility of its prices. They have learned, but they can't make an analysis so they always expect someone else to tell them which asset to choose. Almost the same as gambling because it relies solely on luck.
Yes. Both are actually relying on luck, but trading is more than that since you can’t expect a successful trade if you are not making a good market analysis and you are not knowledgeable and skillful in your trading career. Otherwise, you will fall trading into gambling. Gambling on the other hand, is solely relying on luck and chances, and regardless if you are a newbie, you can make life changing profits once you are extra lucky, or you can lose them all in an instant just like even long time gamblers experienced.
1015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 15, 2023, 03:25:51 PM
You're not playing chance with Crypto, that's one thing. It's cyclical, there's profit to be made if you learn the fundamentals of trading and how to manage your portfolio, and there are other things that you can do in order to amp your chances of getting profits. Gambling on the other hand is just linear, you don't need to learn anything besides the mechanics of the game, and moreso, you don't have to be good at it too. You basically just have to be knowledgeable enough, and you can hit the casino but that doesn't necessarily equate to winning more, especially with games of chance. Skill doesn't equate to profit whereas in trading and in crypto, it does.

Don't get us wrong, just because we take risks doesn't mean we're gamblers right here, we take calculated risks (although some degens don't lmao) and yield the profits when does risks turn out to be well-meaning. That's basically it.
Both gambling and crypto take risks, but know that crypto investment may guarantee profits as long as you do the right thing like allocating your big amount of money into Bitcoin and invest for long term. While shitcoins are also crypto coins, but these are coins who's value will eventually die in the long run so investing in it is certainly a form of gambling. Gambling does not need any preparation or any plan to follow, since you can gamble anytime once you feel lucky and you have the means to gamble.

This forum consists of members from various countries, each with different traits and cultures. While you may find certain comments offensive, others may not, especially considering the anonymous nature of our interactions and the uncertainty of the real owner behind each account.

However, it's important to remember that as forum members, we should adhere to the forum rules. As long as the replies do not violate these rules, there is no grounds for penalizing the account.

The best approach is to utilize the 'ignore' feature, which allows you to avoid reading posts from specific users.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I received 65 BTC from an unknown address... on: June 14, 2023, 03:07:44 PM
It's up to you how you choose to handle it, but if you want to avoid trouble, it would be best to return that large amount to the sender's address. You never know if it's dirty money, and once you send it to exchanges, your identity may be compromised, and the owner or investigating authorities might come after you.

While there are ways to mix that BTC using a Bitcoin mixer, as I mentioned earlier, it's still safer to stay out of trouble.

Just to provide an update on the thread with the current amount of BTC, 65 BTC is currently equivalent to $1,689,000 USD as of this typing.
1018  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 14, 2023, 02:33:16 PM

So the only viable solution to this is that a person finds a casino that is reputable and trusted and only gamble with them so that if they are asked for KYC verification, they don't feel hesitant to do it knowing the casino is trusted and they can give their documents to them and they will be safe, somehow.

It's another matter if you're required to submit your information in compliance with the KYC requirement and you have doubts about whether the gambling site can truly safeguard your private documents. If you have trust issues with crypto casinos, then choosing a fiat casino can provide a sense of security, as you can be sure they are regulated right from the start.

The difference between crypto casinos and fiat casinos is that crypto casinos advertise anonymous gambling, at least in the early stages. However, as government regulations tighten, they gradually become more like fiat casinos.
1019  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profit By Betting on Losing Teams on: June 14, 2023, 01:52:51 PM
But you have to be very careful when choosing a team and not blindly follow the system. In reality, many bettors tend to simply bet on the winning team without considering whether the spread will be covered or not. It may seem easy to decide which team will win, but the concept of betting against the public, although said to be profitable, requires caution and careful consideration when using this strategy.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 14, 2023, 01:01:34 PM
But also for sure as Jokic became the MVP this season provably many scouts or teams will find the same like skill set what Jokic have.

When it comes to big men, it is difficult to find someone with the same skills as Jokic. Even among the current popular big men in the NBA, there is no other player who consistently contributes triple doubles throughout the season or who can make his teammates better like Jokic does. Despite Embiid being named the regular season MVP, he is not as good as Jokic.
