1001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL or Avalon on: March 14, 2013, 06:10:50 AM

By the way, my armchair for 15 years has looked over a Ph.D. in Engineering, and that chair is situated at Intel's packaging and assembly development division.

Just because I make wine, doesn't mean I'm an expert on Whiskey.  Especially whiskey that's still in it's bottle

Tongue

Let me see if I have your logic down here:

If I were to say to you 'Dude it looks like that whiskey bottle has a bunch of rat turds in it'

You'd respond: "What do you know about whiskey bottles, you've only been bottling wine for the best winemaker in the world for that last 15 years."

A more accurate analogy would be:

Entropy:  Your bottling looks like shit and there's a dead rat inside the bottle.  I know these things because I've been bottling for years and get paid $1000 a bottle.
Response: That's a rat printed on the label man... it's not a real rat, and it's not inside the bottle... Do you really get paid for bottling things when you can't even tell the difference between a printed rat on a label and a dead rat inside a bottle?

This is a fantastic project for the bitcoin community and BFL would love to contribute to it.  Perhaps we can leverage our volume production capability to make these cheap enough to help spread bitcoin to the fringe interest crowd.  In the meantime, if we can help with the development by providing resources, please let us know.

Ah yeah, that's probably the issue.  I would upgrade to the latest, which is 2.11.x

You are wayyy behind Smiley

What version of CGMiner are you using?

When did this happen?  The servers were up and down a little bit last night as I worked on them.
1006  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lightning miner ! 4ghs 80 usd Wow on: March 13, 2013, 04:18:44 PM
Well, I have to agree it's not "proof," it's actually "evidence."  The evidence is strong, to the point of being definitive, but from a technical/legal perspective, you can't really call it proof.

Although, I think from a scientific definition, you might be able to classify it as a proof... (Yes, proof means different things to a lawyer than it does to a scientist).  This seems more of a legal issue than a scientific one, so you'd kind of have to use the legal definition in this instance, and this doesn't qualify.

Claiming it's not a scam, though, would be patently absurd.

Forums are broken at the moment, I haven't had time to get them fixed.

Vannicke, your shares will be credited to the current block, you won't lose any shares.

Shares are backed up on the servers... let them catch up and see if your stats start showing up.  US2 is about 400k shares behind, US1 has over 1 million, so it's going to take a bit to catch up.

US3 and the DB should be back up.

I have to bring US3 and the DB server down again for a little bit to make another change.  Memory config was not quite right... shouldn't be down for too long.  US2 and US1 should remain up and fine.

The only time that happens is when you have an incorrect worker name.

Main DB and US3 are both going down to swap out some hardware shortly.  They shouldn't be down too long, hopefully.

US1 and US2 should be fine and shares will catch up as soon as the main DB is back online.

Hey, so, Inaba... *cough*
I'll take that Minirig if he doesn't want it.
Limo won't be needed.
thx bb <3

He sold that minirig last June, so how is he supposed to give it to you or me? They're five month's late and counting, have just unnecessarily destroyed 20% of their first(tiny) batch of chips and this "executive" is placing public wagers with other people's undelivered mining gear. I wonder if this a trick he learned from Sonny or if this kind of double spend behavior comes to BFL's COO naturally.

BFL is like a comic book approximation of a real company. Smiley

Says the man we've just demonstrated is a confirmed liar.

Screw comic books, CreativeX is the real thing.  A real, live, lying dirtbag.  He is what's called a pathological liar - a pathological liar can be shown he's lying, just like we've done here with CreativeX, and the pathological liar continues to maintain the fiction, as CreativeX is attempting to do here.  What's sad about this is CreativeX does this on purpose, I believe he can probably help himself, but he needs to feel important, so he makes up falsehoods to garner attention for himself.  Eh... whatever I suppose.  If that's what keeps him going throughout the day, I suppose there's no much to be done about it.

Everyone has seen what he is, so that's all that really matters.

LOL at turning down a minirig because it's "too much trouble" to post information he's already compiled... oh, sorry, I mean because "Someone else already purchased it."  Riiight.

Server is back up and shares are catching up.  Hashrate will appear funky until it's caught up.

The only part that was fucked up was the fact that I said 10 blocks instead of six, while I was thinking of 10 minutes.  Call me out on that if you like, but otherwise feel free to piss off.

I'd love to see you try to explain the bitcoin network to someone that asks you on the spot when you aren't expecting it and haven't prepared anything.  Good luck with that.  I'm sure I'll hear all about how you'd have done better (or someone else will pipe up) ... but just like developing ASICs, I don't see shitheads like you out there putting it on the line.  All I see is a bunch of whiny bitches coaching anonymously from behind a monitor.  So until you and whoever else complains actually steps up and gets out there, you're nothing but a pathetic basement dweller, your opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

My bet is, you're the same type of person who calls out people who post music videos of themselves singing/playing an instrument/what have you on Youtube and telling them how shitty they are.  But again, unlike you, at least they are doing something. They are putting it out there and they have at least enough self confidence to do so... what have you got?  Nothing. Your entire contribution to the process:  Complaining about someone taking action.

I'm looking into it.

EMC is on the .7 chain, no need to worry if you are mining on EMC.

I am indeed paid by BFL, I admit that 1000%.  I wouldn't say a shill though, since that implies I have hidden the fact, which is simply not true.

I've dropped facts many times.  Your suppositions are complete bullshit.  You have no evidence or proof to back up your claims, yet you speak them as if they were facts.  That does, in fact, make you an idiot.

Quote
I should point out that Avalon sold 1000 units within Batch 1 (in China).

less FUD please, there's total of 300 units for batch one, -/+ 10. this includes in china. fun fact: we rejected 2x 100+ orders and a deal to buy the whole 300 unit lot.

p.s.
sorry about the DHL delay guys, since we are doing shipping through another company we get the tracking a few days after we ship, and due information being passed through multiple parties, it is entirely possible you'll receive units before tracking information, which is currently what is happening.

Wow... what a surprise.  PuertoLibre lying?  Who would have thought.
