10021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Betting Discussion & Predicitons on: February 22, 2017, 01:24:44 AM
Hollywood is a nest of leftists, betting in what is interesting for them you have more chances to win the bet, as you said, things there are very political, doesn't matter the quality and technique, what matters is the mainstream agenda.

And now, more than ever!

I do not want this to be racial but I have to say I have not heard of a leftist jew before. Cheesy

My bet for best picture is Arrival. It is my favorite movie for this year and I recommend everyone to watch it. The director is also my bet as best director. He also directed 1 of the best movies the other year, Sicario. I will also bet for Fences.

I made an Oscar thread with odds from 1XBit but the changed the format of the betting so do not bother going there. I will lock the thread.
10022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin short and long term speculation? on: February 21, 2017, 01:54:50 AM
@Sniper44. I am not closing my mind on litecoin gaining 10 times its price today. It is faster and can handle more transactions than bitcoin and if LTC segwit activates the future will be bright for it. The people here who support bitcoin unlimited underestimates the potential and benefits of the Lightning Network. It will be like there was a Ripple network built on top of litecoin and bitcoin. All exchanges can connect to it and make trading and cross border payments very easy for their users.
10023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming rich owning all altcoins in 5 years? on: February 21, 2017, 01:45:45 AM
Would one be super rich if one now bought 1000 of each altcoin under a dollar at the time of this writing 5 years from now?

1000 of each altcoin costing you under 1 dollar? Those cryptocoins must be the most useless, most avoided and the most worthless of them all. It would be better for you to keep your money. You might need it for better things in the days ahead. It would also be good to ask yourself, who the hell becomes super rich with a 1 dollar investment?
10024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake or Real?? on: February 21, 2017, 01:31:57 AM
There is a saying that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it probably is a duck. It is now the time of cryptocoins and ICO with commercial support. If a project is created by just a group of developers who met on the internet then it is a scam or something that will not find any success. There were very rare exceptions before and it will be rarer today.
10025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 105: Lewis vs Browne Info and Prediction Thread on: February 21, 2017, 01:13:30 AM
Won bet on Markos and Derrick Lewis all thanks to Krach. I highly recommend his picks not because they are a sure thing but because you learn and gain from his insights on the fighters and the match ups. You can find the link to his website posted in the thread.

Thank you again Krach!
10026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AMP] Synereo Speculation on: February 21, 2017, 01:04:21 AM
@profitgenerator212. For the sake of the investors who bought in at the ICO price of 30,000 satoshis I do hope Dor does turn it all around. Those people who trusted the technology behind project and risked giving the value of their bitcoin investment deserve better from the Synereo team.
10027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AMP] Synereo Speculation on: February 20, 2017, 01:15:49 AM
The two founders fought over money. Greg Meredith who was the CTO wanted more money to develop Rchain and Special K which he declared will be more advanced than blockchains. The CEO Dor Konforty did not want to give Greg more money because he felt the whole project is being scammed by their own CTO. Dor was given an impression by Greg that he already had a working solution in his Rchain technology but it was really nothing but vapor.

They also had an ICO that collected more money from the community maybe 1 or 2 weeks before the project's breakdown.
10028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 105: Lewis vs Browne Info and Prediction Thread on: February 20, 2017, 12:53:00 AM
It is now time to place your bets my fellow gamblers. Travis Browne is now the slight favorite in some sportsbooks. I have made another bet on the over 1.5 rounds. I speculate Travis will try to tire his opponent down and he will not fully engage in the 1st and 2nd rounds.
10029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 20, 2017, 12:44:37 AM
The excitement is indeed in seeing Mayweather gamble with his entire legacy... Pacquiao is not undefeated, so if he loses it would be as shocking.

Chances are both Mayweather and Pacquiao will kick Conor's ass, Mayweather can still be aggressive if he bothers, look at the Canelo fight.

That will be used to hype the fight, which will assuredly be over hyped. They will say Floyd is gambling with his legacy and a little of this and a little of that but truly the fight will be one of the most boring fights in the history of boxing. What kind of legacy is that? We have seen that happen in the fight versus Manny Pacquaio. The crowd felt cheated.

@smooth. Thank you for replying at every question meticulously. It is good to know that you are not going away from the project. Are the other Monero developers like fluffypony helping out? Aeon could be the future of proof of work if you are able to create an efficient full node that will run on old computers and smart phones. Maybe the next step is to have an efficient POW platform with smart contract capabilities.
10031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 19, 2017, 12:48:30 AM
Yes that is why I said that Conor versus Floyd might be boring fight. This will be like Manny Pacquiao versus Mayweather fight. Overhyped, overpriced and very boring. What can we expect from a boxer whose main objective is to not lose rather than win?

Conor versus Pacquaio will be all action and I speculate that we could see Conor eating Pacman's flurries and fall.
10032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 105: Lewis vs Browne Info and Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2017, 12:42:21 AM
@bbc.reporter and HaXX0R1337 i am done fighting over Edmond  Tongue,i always said he was not a good MMA coaching with the way he handled Ronda and Browne, what i said was he was an accomplished striker and so he could coach anyone when it comes to striking but he cannot turn a rabbit into a lion . Cheesy

Lets talk about Johny Hendricks which was once considered the best Welterweight at one stage and his split decision loss to Georges St-Pierre changed his career, which i thought Hendricks won, either way it was a close one and he lost his championship to yet another split decision to Robbie Lawler and after those battles he is on a losing streak and move to  Middleweight and will be Hector Lombard which is a tough match for Hendricks.

Edmund Targaryen or whatever he calls himself is not a good coach even as a strikng coach. If he was he would be the first person to tell Ronda that he cannot turn a rabbit into a lion. What he did was input the wrong information and ideas in Ronda's head. His fundamental philosophy in fighting might also be flawed.

Here is some info on the differences:
http://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/1393/what-is-the-aeon-currency

Highlights:
4 minute block time
a lighter variant of the Cryptonight PoW
0 mixin transactions will be allowed

Thank you for the reply. What I really want to know is how is the lighter variant of the Cryptonight proof of work different from the regular and normal variant? Is it more energy efficient?

I also want to know how long will smooth stay with Aeon as lead developer?
10034  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: February 18, 2017, 01:33:13 AM
Are there any plans for 1XBit to start accepting litecoin, Ethereum and Monero deposits? These cryptocoins mentioned have become valuable in all of the cryptosphere and there is a trend that other sportsbooks are starting to accept them. It will also make 1XBit more open to other cryptocoin communities by making it more accessible for the coin they are loyal to.

@merkalor. I am thinking about the same question as you. What I want to know is about Aeon's proof of work. What differences does this cryptocoin have with Monero's proof of work? I know that both are cryptonote coins but are there key differences between the 2 that would make 1 more efficient and more resistant to bloating the blockchain? How big are Aeon blocks and what is the total size of the blockchain?
10036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AMP] Synereo Speculation on: February 18, 2017, 12:27:45 AM
@donnatello. I know. I am just stating the facts. What kind of development is going on in Synereo right now? Rchains which was hyped to be better than blockchains is now known not to work or worse, it is vaporware. Greg might have made it appear that he was sure he will make it work. 1 or 2 years later they hav nothing. I ask, where is the technology that made the community confident to invest in the AMP ICO?
10037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 105: Lewis vs Browne Info and Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2017, 12:21:10 AM
@eaLiTy. Does that say that Edmund is a good striking coach for you? You keep saying that he is a good striking coach but not a good MMA coach then what business does he have coaching in MMA? He is a fraud and all the other MMA coaches knows this. Amanda Nunes did not shake his hand after their fight because she was disgusted with what he was doing to Ronda.
10038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: February 18, 2017, 12:14:22 AM
@thejaytiesto. Undefeated does not mean anything if the fighter cannot do a good and entertaining performance. A fight versus Floyd will be boring I am sure of it. Conor will be chasing him around the ring and nothing. A fight with Pacquaio will be full if action and I do not think the Irishman will last in the ring against him. That would be a real fight not like what both Floyd and Conor are hustling right now. That fight might be only for show to take our money.
10039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AMP] Synereo Speculation on: February 17, 2017, 02:09:13 AM
@profitgenerator212. You keep saying that but nothing is happening. When we check the Synereo announcement thread all we see are people trolling back and forth. The representative from their team also has left and is nowhere to be seen in the the forum. Their website is blank except for the fake social media platform that looks like a bare bones MVP.

I dont have crystal ball, I can just extrapolate from what information I have.

But my theory is that decentralized social media will be worth a lot in the future. I believe Synereo will pull itself together and be one of the big players in the future.

There is no way not to be, it's just so easy to pull it off, ETH was created in a very short time, and already worth around 1 bn $.

Synereo could be the next big one.

I am with you that there will be a need of a decentralized social media network. There are politicians who are already proposing that Facebook should be classified as a media company and not a platform. This will make the government gain more right to censor and to suppress information.

Yet I think Synereo will not be a big player for decentralized social media. The technology behind it does not work and there is already infighting between 2 important people in their founding team because the CEO feels Greg Meredith is scamming them by saying Rchain and Special K will work. That is a formula to failure.
10040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: February 17, 2017, 01:49:43 AM
Jose Aldo was destroyed by Conor in less than 20 seconds, which is why Jose Aldo vs Conor 2 is not really a main attraction anymore. I think Jose Aldo has a lot of anger and wants to prove that he is a good fighter, so he will have to win this, then aim for a second Conor shoot, but I think Conor will not give him a rematch.

I would like to see Khabib vs Conor in Russia for the inauguration of UFC Russia, that would be huge.
Conor Mcgregor is the biggest champion in the history of MMA and he has won multiple championships in Featherweight and Lightweight in Cage Warriors and UFC and he might be the only champion who never defended any of the belts he won in both organisation  Grin and now he is not even bothered or interested to fight anyone in MMA but wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather .I like to see a rematch between Aldo and Mcgregor and Aldo really deserved a rematch because he was so dominant during his reign. Let me tell you one thing he wont face Khabib anytime soon . Cheesy

That is because Conor knows Khabib has a good chance to win versus him. It would be a wise move for him to avoid fighting Khabib or anyone until he finds an advantage. Since he is risking everything in every fight then Conor should pick his battles.

Every potential future fight for Conor is a potential loss for him, that's what happen whe nyou raise the bar too high.

Any of the big selling fights, will present him big difficulties.

A Nate Diaz rematch, a Khabib match, a Tyron Woodley match... a Floyd in boxing match.. all are big risks for Conor.

Nate Diaz is the weakest fighter in that line up. That shows Conor McGregor wants not only entertaining fights but also challenging ones for his development as a martial artist. He is special and we will not see someone like him for a long time after he retires.

A fight versus Woodley would knock him out of his socks. It is best to avoid him.

@eaLiTy. Please post the link. That news is almost certainly fake. Floyd released a statement that there was nothing at present.
