10061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 04, 2018, 03:46:34 AM
I think too many people in this thread are bashing Pacquiao... I mean come on, he is a straight monster. Yes he's getting a little bit old, but he's not exactly a pensioner, he's not even 40 yet? Don't you guys remember Klitschko almost hooping Anthony Joshua at 41? And he's a HW! Pacquiao is going to hammer this fool.

I agree that Manny's performance in the last couple of fights has somewhat dwindling because of politics and age factor. His not that  the same monster anymore like 5 years ago. But this fight will really show that he still has that power in his left that might hammer out Lucas in a KO or even a TKO victory. This fight will prove his detractor wrong again. So perhaps we can judge him after this fight if he still have the will and the speed to take out opponents or just old enough and no longer his prime and should retire for good.
I've read many bashers saying Manny was too old to fight for boxing, but I must question on those people! How are they doing for their health? Are they doing what Manny did for his life? These people who bashed the champion and a senator is worth inspiring, knowing that he serves both the country's reputations on boxing sports together serving the nation. We will see all those bashers will shut their mouth after all winning decisions will be made, when we withness his live fight with Mattyse this coming July 15.

Even the GOAT from previous era has bashers, but those greats have records to back up all their claim. So Manny is no exceptions and even if he win against Lucas coming July 15, there will be a lot of excuses for them to trash talk and bash him more. Yeah he did a lot for his country and now serving as a Senator, I don't know if other boxers can topple can achievement inside the ring with multiple belts in different divisions and then elected in one of the highest governing body in the country.
10062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: July 04, 2018, 03:11:33 AM
Haven't tried visiting any casinos, but being shy due to you're new to any community is normal. And once you are already doing what you are supposed to do, little by little, you'll overcome that shyness.
Understandable if you are in real casino but if you are playing online. It is too much if you still have a shy feelings where in no one knows your real identity, name, face, gender, etc. Such a low confidence of yours if ever.

I really don't know but ever since I started to make my first bet, entering a real casino is always been my dream. Of course I'm been in and out of a real casino but I did felt that shyness just like a regular customer in a new shop or something. But eventually you will overcome it once you can yourself familiarize with the environment and how everything is being played.
10063  Other / Archival / Re: How can Bitcoin helps the world's economic? ✅ on: July 04, 2018, 02:41:13 AM
If government around the world will adopt bitcoin first then we will see how it does in the world economy. But since they hated it, we really don't have any concrete evidence how destructive (according to some country) or beneficial it will be except for like Japan which seems to be doing good despite adopting year more than a year ago. So there's no real use case for now, so its all speculation on how it will help (if it does) in the world economics.
10064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 03, 2018, 08:32:50 PM
There were reports that the fight "might" be postpone:

Quote
De La Hoya: I Feel 'Very Confident' Pacquiao-Matthysse Happens

There has been a lot of reports of the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse, scheduled for July 14th in Malaysia, not taking place as there are some financial issues plaguing that event.

Golden Boy Promotions and Matthysse had been waiting on some money due to them the past few weeks.

https://www.boxingscene.com/de-la-hoya-i-feel-very-confident-pacquiao-matthysse-happens--129425

The reports seems to point to MP promotions unable to provide the needed money and a shortage of $2M in financing. I honestly believed that this is just a ploy to attract boxing fans specially in the US to buy the PPV, sort of marketing.

Mattysse already received his money and on his way to Malaysia as reported:

Quote
t took longer than promised but Golden Boy Promotions and Lucas Matthysse have received their funds from the organizers of the July 14th event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

So with that said, Matthysse and his crew will be flying out there for his scheduled date with Manny Pacquiao on Tuesday.

"We have a fight, everything's great, everything's perfect," confirmed Eric Gomez, the president of Golden Boy, on Monday afternoon ."They're flying out tomorrow, we're looking forward to it. Lucas is ready and he's ready to defend his title against a legend."

https://www.boxingscene.com/matthysse-receives-his-money-heads-malaysia-on-tuesday--129632

So its really set and ready to go. Its only about 10 days to go and I hope that Lucas can acclimatized himself on a hot weather in Malaysia. As for Manny, no adjust needed because Malaysia and the Philippines have the same weather (almost).

10065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 01, 2018, 09:56:32 PM
What an interesting first game today. Congratulations to the host Nation for going through on penalties. One thing is clear from Russia and Uruguay is that a solid defense will take you far in this tournament, as long as you can nullify wave after wave of attack. The world cup has a lot big names out, this feels like one for the underdog as the days close in.

Yep, and just like that Spain is out. I though that they have a good chance against the host nation, but just like what they say, the ball is round and its very unpredictable. Spain didn't do good or just the defense of Russia hold them. Gonna be interesting how far Russia can go on WC right now. It would be nice to see them winning the cup in their home turf, but I wouldn't rule out much stronger countries like Croatia.
10066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 01, 2018, 02:28:34 PM
Guys do you think Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi met at the airport on the way home? They could have even taken the same flight lol. Wouldn't that be very awkward?  Grin I am wondering if Diego Maradona will stay in Russia till the final or he is also leaving now that Argentina have been knocked out of the tourney.

I don't think that they will be in a awkward situation. Although they have been compared and even has a rivalry for the top football player, they are both professional and they are out of the World Cup. Personally though, I hope the Maradona will just left Russia and get his act straight.

Spain is up 1 nil against Russia. Spain is favored to win so let's see how its goes.
10067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: July 01, 2018, 10:25:08 AM
if you want to produce every day you have to do daily trading but if you want to invest long term you have to hold your coins with a long time.

Yep, that's really the first goal of every day trader, to at least earn a day and again I think since the market has change a lot, I think most of holders are really having a hard time coping with the price change. I believed that some of them really try to learn how to day trade, others might be successful, others failed and just get out. While those who stay, and doesn't want to do anything is simply HODLing them. And as I have mentioned, since the game has really changed, for me its better to do day trading, but just be cautious of the risk.
10068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fundstrat’s Robert Slyumer: Bitcoin Must Rally Through $6,300 on: July 01, 2018, 09:35:40 AM
Nothing new from Fundstrat, just a another person with some new "wisdom" that BTC must do something just because he think like that, based on 15 day studies - imagine if he studied BTC for 30 days Cool

Regarding Tom Lee’s prediction, even if in this moment that 25k $ seems very elusive we should all remember that exactly a year ago price was only 2400 $, and by end of the year reached its peak at 20k $. I do not know can we see something like that this year, but if a new one pump happens, then it will be much easier to reach 25k $ then 20k $ last year.

Well Tom Lee's very bullish predictions seems to be off the mark since he started to open his mouth specially during the bearish trend and no amount of influence really swayed investors to pour their money plus their confidence in the market. For me, to be really safe, $10k will be a good gauge to see that. However, its around April or May that we see the price almost touch it, but then again it started to free fall again. Looks like though we have broken the $6300 mental barrier, but the question is, can it be sustained or just another bull trap in the making?
10069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 01, 2018, 09:07:13 AM
I don't want to badmouth or insult Pacquiao, but I think it may be better for him to concentrate on his career in politics. He is already 40 years old and I am afraid that the fight against Matthysse may be one-sided.

I would agree except that we don't know what's on Manny Pacquiao's mind specially that boxing is his first love to say the least. And I'm pretty sure that he is doing good in politics as well but the fight against Matthysee will not be one-sided. He wanted to redeem himself against the lost to Jeff Horn that he is really training hard this time to prove to everyone that he still has it, to compete at top level boxer and be the champion once again.
10070  Economy / Economics / Re: Will countries or central banks create their own cryptocurrency? on: June 30, 2018, 10:08:38 AM
The Central Bank will certainly issue its own cryptocurrency. This is their territory and will not be easily transferred to the cryptocurrency.

Of course, they can always create their cryptocurrency and most of them are really doing it right as this very moment. But its not that see at it seems. I don't think that it can get enough traction from its people because what most of us wanted is a decentralized coins, not any coins that they have the ability to control and track us down. Its fun to really central banks trying to put down bitcoin and other crypto but loves blockchain technology because they want to take advantage of and used it to have their own cryptocurrency.
10071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 30, 2018, 08:39:08 AM
Wow, LeBron decided to decline player option of Cavs, so that means he will most likely be joining some other team. That will most likely be Lakers, but not necessarily. I am very excited Cheesy

Also, I am nothing less interesting about Leonard and George. Next days will be very interesting Smiley

Yes he did but I'm not surprised. His thinking of 2 possible teams right now.

Lakers - which I think is the front runner. Good management, overall, plus Lebron will be surrounded by Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma. However, this players are still green so they still have the options to get at least a George or Leonard.

Sixers - with Joel at the middle and then Simmons. And at least he gets to return to the East lineup again and try to go for the Warriors in the finals again.
10072  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin stay above 6k $ on: June 30, 2018, 04:32:14 AM
Keep wondering  if bitcoin will stay above above 6k,whats your opinion?

I say yes, but the problem with holding $6K right now its that is hasn't had that much support, imho. And we all know that once is broken it will fall like dominos because other follows and panic. And looking at the current price, it looks like it didn't hold that much in the last couple of days. I think we might be heading for $5500. But look at the bright side because bitcoin is getting quite cheap now a days and its a perfect time to stash as long as you can.
10073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Price Drop, is no-one worried? on: June 30, 2018, 03:48:05 AM
Is anyone concerned with this drop in bitcoin? I've only just jumped on the bandwagon and i've lost 10%-30% of my value already. I'm new to the market and enjoyed a good bit of stability and upward graphs for a little bit, so I thought it was mostly positive. Is this jump down a typical trend that results in pushing for highs again? or do you reckon it can be backlash of people shying away coming nearer August 1st?

I'm unsure if to try cash the coins to another altcoin or something to try gain some more value back or just hold for a while.

I honestly believed that a lot have already lost their bitcoin already because of the price continuing to free fall and have exited a few months ago. Those who are left are investors who bought bitcoin when the price is still cheap that why they still persistent and wishes to stay cool and calm during this crash. But again, bitcoin is for long term investment, maybe we are down but I think that we can still bounce back and recover. But once the market is on a good run, I'm sure that those who left will be back soon because they don't want to miss the boat.
10074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 29, 2018, 07:24:10 PM

Friday deadline for free agent players to make a decision for their respective contract was intense. After that we will now know who will be the players who will be on free agency. LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard are the hottest on the line.

As of now, based on my own knowledge, big names so far who confirmed of their decision was, Carmelo Anthony, who will remained on Oklahoma City Thunders, Paul George, who will opted out of his contract and the vintage Dwayne Wade, who wants to retire in Miami. Don't have an idea to other free agent players.
I don't see any good news regarding where James will land now but I saw on BTV a while ago that Leonard is talking with the Lakers. Maybe there is a chance that he will go there

I researched some and I think some good news regarding the free agency is the trading of DeAndre Jordan in the Mavericks and the Warriors being interested in getting Jamal Crawford.

We know how these 2 play. Jordan dominates the rim and Crawford is good in crossovers although he doesn't do it that much with the Wolves because Coach Tim is focusing only on his starters. I think Crawford will fit on the Warriors with their bench players, they will got another ball handler. Jordan on the other hand will be a good center there I think with some young players and their rookie, Luka Doncic.
Lebron James is set on becoming an unrestricted free agent. This will make him part of a star studded free agents which will include Chris Paul and Paul George but i am hoping that he eventually signs for the Houston Rockets together with Chris Paul so that they will make a perfect challenge to the Golden States.

That is too much.
Houston is already a great challenger for GSW since they almost got the WCF. 3-4 is not a bad stats and they did their best. It just lack when CP3 was injured but they almost got it.
No need to change their roster from this point. They will just need to be healthy until the playoffs.
A Lebron James in their midst will force them to free their good players which have been helpful. Add the chemistry to restart with the superstars. It is not that easy to do that.

Correct, Lebron and Harden almost play the same position so its going to be hard for coach Mike on how to divide the time between the two, besides they will offload some good role players that will disrupt their chemistry. They should maintain this roster and hopefully they will stay healthy all throughout the season to be competitive against GSW.
10075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we compare Bitcoin with tulips? on: June 29, 2018, 10:43:25 AM
Some people like to compare crypto with the tulip bubble phenomenon before. My thoughts:

First of all, the phenomenon of tulips really does not exist nor can one prove, there are very few documents that exist today.

Secondly, tulips do not last long, are not scarce, can not be programmed, can not be used for transactions, can not be verified, can not be divided, are not the solution of the problem, and hard to move.

Can not compare crypto with tulips.

I think the comparison arises when tulip prices started to rise similar to what we have seen in bitcoin. However, the problem is that all people can just grow tulip in their backyard causing the dramatic fall. For bitcoin though, yes the price fall from $19K to $6K, but it doesn't mean that we can't bounce back, because the supply is limited, unlike tulip wherein anyone can have it by just growing in their own back yard very easily.
10076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 29, 2018, 10:08:16 AM
What a great day for Croatian tennis, we just got two ATP 500 winners.
Cilic won in London against Djokovic in 3 sets while our young hope Coric won in Halle against the best grass player Federer.

Not really a good year for Djokovic but he has started on a good track and maybe its not his day to win again in London. But Djokovic really fought hard that I thought he will gonna win but damn, Cilic fought back from match point and even came bak from 1-4 deficit in the tie break. Such disappointing lost for Djokovic.

What a injection to his self confident would that be. And he was pretty close. Only 3 points more he needed to finish match in 2nd set tie break. Kinda unlucky...
He said that he would return to this tournament in years to come.

Yes, This is a moral booster win for Cilic, at the brink of defeat, but he snatches it under from Djokovic and raised the trophy. I guess Djokovic is really unlucky this year but just like I said, he is slowly picking up the pieces and maybe a few more tournaments and a win will bring back his confidence again to compete for the top spot.
Yeah, you are right about next games which will clear the top players and let’s see who will win the upcoming Wimbledon tournament. Wimbledon tournament is the tournament of Roger federer because he has been dominant here since his start and clinched most wins here. Other players will also try their best to compete for the trophy but I think it is Rogers again.

There is no doubt that Federer is the favourite and one to beat however I do give chances to a few of the up and coming players to really give him a run for his money. I again am going for some value in Wimbledon just like I did for the French Open which almost paid off for me but Nadal was simply too good. So I placed a bet on Zverev, Cilic and Kyrgios to win outright all at over $10 odds.

Right, that 3 have a good chance to upset Roger in Wimbledon so I agree with you that its a good bet. Specially Zverev and Cilic who have been showing good performance this year. I wouldn't be surprise though if Roger again win this tournament, but if he ever encounter this 3 before the finals, I think it will be a good and entertaining match.

Leonard have indicated that he really wants to play with the Lakers but we really don't know for sure if Lakers wanted him and at was cost. But all eyes are really on Lebron James. Will he be teaming up with Leonard on LA uniform? In make sense for DeAndre to move already. CP3 and Griffin already left him in Clippers and there's no point in staying there.

10078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: June 29, 2018, 09:25:35 AM
I have a question for Manny fans or the Filipinos. This was asked by someone before but it gave no definite answer.

Manny Pacquiao is a senator in the Phillipines that would maybe make him more money, legally or illegally, than boxing. Why does he continue to do it? Is he in debt? I heard he spends and gambles too much. A common mistake among superstar athletes, I reckon.

I don't think that being a Senator in the Philippines will made him a lot of money. Well, as far as gambling, there was reported that he totally turn his backs against it. I remember that there was reports that he sold all his cockfighters already. And I don't think he is in debt as well. The only reason why I think he is wants to box is that he wanted to prove that he is still the same Manny we have known, fast, quick hands and heavily handed specially his left. That's why he chooses Matthyse which is very dangerous, but if he can give us a good show then Manny will continue to fight, in my opinion.
10079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 28, 2018, 02:22:58 AM
Lebron is born be a losser. No matter how he played someone will overcome him. Harden put the Rockets in the 1st rank, Cavs 4th!?? Statistically Harden leads. KD beat him in the finals 4-0!!
Obviously you are not Lebron James fan buddy but i think LBJ is a unique player on his own way. This season LBJ does not deserve the MVP trophy because James Harden played so well throughout the season and he deserved it this year too.
Yeah he doesn't like Lebron and there's too much that are being thrown to LBJ though he's playing and putting up his team on his shoulder. With team plays there can be someone that can outsmart his performance but if we're going to judge his individual performance, there's no doubt that Lebron is an exceptional player. No need to compare to other players, they have their own uniqueness and characteristics.
It's been 5 years since LeBron has last won an MVP. It's not like he gets it every year. I truly think he should win it. Harden has similar numbers from last year and he GAINS Chris Paul this year he finished 1st with rockets and got to 7th game against warriors that what it realy made the difference for him and got him the MVP reward this season also nobody tries harder than him he played better defense than LeBron and was far better at creating as well as being far above AD most of the year while Westbrook had a normal season. It seemed as Westbrook exhaled slightly after winning MVP last year .I expect the same slight exhale from Harden. Guy has grinded the reg so hard the last 3 years many felt that his stats last season should won him so it was due time for him to get it.

No doubt that the beard deserves last season's MVP because he is consistent throughout the year. He has big numbers, almost the same in the last 3 years so no question about his consistency. The only flaw is that he was unable to bring the team in the Finals again and looks like he choked again year after year. As far as LBJ though, no doubt that he is not a loser because he has proven himself and have rings around his finger. So that argument is completely flawed.
10080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone hit any Major Jackpots on any Crypto Casino's? on: June 28, 2018, 01:48:07 AM
I play a lot of online Casinos, the most I have ever been able to hit since bitcoin reached over 5k was around 0.26 Btc. Don't get me wrong that is pretty nice But Alot of the Casinos I play Have 2, 3, 4 up to 10 btc jackpots, I seen one for 13!!!! has anyone ever hit any jackpots over 3 Btc since Btc, has reached it's all time high??? I still hit .1 Btc occasionally but never have I or anyone I know ever hit any majors?

I believe these payouts were alot more possible back in 2012 and 2013, in the last 2 years has anyone Hit over 3 BTC?Huh

No, I haven't hit any jackpot as of yet in online games. but I have won a lot of mini/major jackpot in landbased casino. You are one lucky guy if you hit 3 bitcoin jackpot during that all-time-high in December. Yeah I agree back then casino's are offering more bitcoin because obviously the price back then is so cheap and more players can spend a lot of their bitcoins trying to hit that big jackpot.
