10081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdholder of the month (Will be updated with each new COTM) on: June 12, 2018, 12:06:36 PM
Just visited the page and read about the May Crowdholder of the month and Got to say, this is probably the best non-expert crowdfund shill and don't blame me, he used shill himself! Got to admit never heard of it til it caught my eye just now so will spend a few minutes later on to look in. I'm still very undecided on crowd knowledge. Theory works but practice seems pretty crap, taking into account the shills who only want to be making money so will say anything that sounds good.

Good luck anyway.
10082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For friends here who know the staff or owner of poloniex please help me on: June 12, 2018, 10:06:33 AM
Not much you can do really. Poloniex is very much like any of the old major exchange platforms with a really bad reputation for customer support. I never got contacted by them when I needed support although eventually my issues were resolved with long delays.

If you've reached out to them via Twitter, just be patient, otherwise I would also work on fully verifying your account. I heard verified accounts are prioritized by Poloniex.
10083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: June 12, 2018, 08:17:05 AM
I like Litecoin. It is regarded as an improved version of Bitcoin. It is considerably faster than Bitcoin, completing transactions in an average of 2.5 minutes, compared to the 10 minutes it takes to perform a similar operation in the latter. Moreover, it represents a cheaper option for people looking to perform transactions, with an almost zero transaction fee compared to Bitcoin.

I have always liked Litecoin from my first impressions of it. Almost every alt I came across claimed to improve on Bitcoin, but Litecoin was really the one that marketed itself exactly as a quicker and cheaper alternative to Bitcoin (hence altcoin and Lite coin) and never pretended to be anything other than a "lite" payment currency. It's really come a long way, plus the very friendly terms the dev has with Bitcoin, and continued relevance. Price doesn't worry me at all.
10084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: project shivom ( OMX ) speculation on: June 11, 2018, 11:32:22 AM
Thought this was the project I knew about several months back but turns out upon googling that there are now about 4/5 similar projects in healthcare/AI/DNA/genome. Is there something about these ICOs that projects with the same ideas all launch in the same span of months within each other?

And incredible 2 million given to bounty hunters. You bet they dumped. Just incredible how this just keeps happening. Is it cheaper to buy now then it was when investing at max bonus?
10085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: CHICAGO MERCANTILE EXCHANGE on: June 11, 2018, 08:27:14 AM
This just crossed my mind today, reading about the "huge overnight flash crash" that Bitcoin and crypto markets just experienced. Back in December/January when CME and others were all the headlines for offering futures, they said the crash was coming. It came, and futures like CME traders were largely blamed because of all the short volume.

But today, a 90th ranked South Korean exchange I'd never heard of is blamed because millions were stolen/hacked.

Just tells me that the headlines go for whatever is most convenient.
10086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC is under $7K? on: June 11, 2018, 05:40:19 AM
Because this was expected. Bitcoin is characterized by itx extreme volatility, and it is the same today as it was years ago. It fell to $300 from $1200 before, so practically speaking it could fall even to $5000 from $20000 but this is temporary, even if temporary can mean months. Even could mean years. So yes, 10k again is possible, so is $20k, just that it is a matter of time. If you can't wait for that long, then Bitcoin and crypto is not for you.
10087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you listen to technical analysis? on: June 10, 2018, 10:06:55 AM
99 percent of the technical analysis didn’t see this dump coming!
One thing is the analysis, and the other is that there is no growth in the capitalization and volumes of trades, no dynamics of the price increase for top coins does not occur in recent times. And the more people analyze the more, the more often they begin to get out of this dump, exacerbating the situation.

Correct! There is very very little people who make proper comparisons and true research. They just pull up some charts, change the data ranges, change the timeframes and everything is conveniently laid out.

Take a look at this dump last night, for example. It looks big, but the volume was $4 billion. That's not even 25% of the daily volumes we saw in January. So all this context is lost. We only see RED RED RED. Does it mean much? Not to me.
10088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accidently sent Ethererum to my ERC20 address on IDAX exchange. on: June 10, 2018, 09:26:17 AM
Just follow the helpful advice of above posts. Make sure you give all the details briefly but in full. The type of ERC20 address it was meant to support, the full details of your transaction and a screenshot of your account showing that deposit address. It will probably take a long time, but you should get your ETH back, or at least credited to the ETH account balance on IDAX.

I know you know, but be careful not to do this again. It's the most common ETH mistake people do and so much problems can be avoided simply by being a little more careful.
10089  Economy / Gambling / Re: ① Bitcoin Gambling Guides 2018 ✅ 15 free bonuses ✅ 120 reviews ✅ 12 countries on: June 10, 2018, 09:10:44 AM
It's very near World Cup now... Since you guys are collaborating with 120+ casinos, want to share with us which of these are having new promotions? Also what I find very useful is a list of updated promotions that is currently ongoing with any casinos. Not just the ongoing first deposit promos you can find almost every day but the ones that only last for limited periods (like World Cup). Fiat bookies usually have like very special odds for first time players or returning players. Things like that.
10090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC system at some program! on: June 09, 2018, 05:32:34 PM
Why don't you just look up KYC online so you understand it? Then you might also understand that not every program, casino or ICO out there has the right to ask you for KYC. In summary, if the entity you're dealing with is regulated, or is registered and recognized as a business entity, then OK, they probably need to comply with KYC/AML, and they would naturally want users to be verified.

They want to know their customers. Simple right?

But if you're dealing with a project that's NOT registered, a casino that's NOT regulated, an exchange that's anonymous. Then don't ever give them KYC. Quit them, find someone else. You bet all the things you're worried about they could do with your data, they will do.
10091  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 09, 2018, 02:21:04 PM
Phew, don't know whether I should feel excited or scared when I see those bets. Even just seeing screenshots is making me feel nauseautic (OK I don't know how to spell) a little. I guess some whales made their Bitcoins a long time ago so they don't feel the pain of losing 8 BTC in a split second. Where else other than with crypto can we see people splash that kind of money around yeah?

Oh and where else can anyone actually win 8 BTC in a single bet? Most casinos right now don't have a max win of more than a few BTC.
10092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of the current market? on: June 09, 2018, 01:06:51 PM
OP: why on earth don't you have a sell target? Set a take profit target, as well as a stop loss. Leave the order, go and enjoy life or spend your time fussing over other tokens and research. Why waste your time wondering and deciding? Set a trailing stop if you can't be sure of profits.

until now, the current market still unpredictable because bitcoin and altcoin are moving fast without any direction and now bitcoin is trying to increase while it's down yesterday. but I still wait for bitcoin and altcoin to increase higher like last year and I am sure that it will happen soon so we can make a big profit again. but this will not happen if there is much bad news that will try to make bitcoin and altcoin to get down too deep so we need to stay focus in the market.

Actually they've been moving slowly for the past few months, compared to 2017. Very slow movements either way. Biggest jump in any direction so far has been just around 14%! Compare that to last year when we even saw 40% in 24 hours.
10093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty is like a Box Chocolate on: June 09, 2018, 09:27:37 AM
The Forrest Gump reference makes me feel old! But really, to say that bounties is almost random is true only if you just participate in any bounty you see on offer. Think about it. If you look for chocolate or bounties the way you shop in a supermarket, then picking a box from what is on offer is just limiting yourself to choosing from what advertisers are willing to pay to supermarkets/platforms to show you the product.

Look at how much projects spend on marketing or even how much they pay to list their tokens on market. Are you willing to stand by those projects knowing that their money is spent to get the word out? Or are you willing to invest a bit more time into supporting projects that want to achieve an idea with hard work?
10094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypro will make people smarter? on: June 09, 2018, 08:50:18 AM
Well, it doesn't seem to have helped people's spelling, judging from your post title. But no. Technology doesn't automatically make people smarter. Just look at all the cries of scam in this forum to see how "crypto" has blinded people with greedy promises of instant profits. Cloud mining. Bitconnect guaranteed profits at rates that would make loansharks jealous.

Crypto is a tool, like any other tool, you can use it to benefit and you can use it for the opposite.
10095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge is the foundation on: June 08, 2018, 06:33:25 PM
Agreed and very well put. I see so many people on here who just want to jump into crypto go get "rich", or give up all there physical money for crypto. Start small, read the forum and learn from other people doing the same things instead of investing blindly. Listen to the market, hold when you invest, and never invest more than you are willing to lose.

Difficult not to agree with all these tropes... but at the same time, I don't think the originators of such quotes could ever foresee just how much knowledge there is to learn and how accessible they all are.

I think there's nothing wrong with learning everything, but with the amount of misinformation available, along with the lack of credibility of these sources of knowledge, it's now very difficult to distinguish fact from fiction.

I'm shocked actually at how much things people know about crypto, but seeming to be all the wrong things. Like how Bitcoin is inferior to 99% of alts...
10096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Your Job is The Worst Idea on: June 08, 2018, 03:24:05 PM
Leaving any job for anything speculative is just a bad idea in any event. The only reason I would ever consider leaving everything behind for my passion is:

1. The passion teaches me and I can learn whether I "win or lose".
2. No body else relies on me for a living.
3. I can at least make enough to eat sleep and pay rent.

Don't read about all those traders making millions. Read about those traders who lost everything because they thought Shitcoin was going to the moon.
10097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 331 Crypto Investors in Japan Generate Profits of At least $ 1 Million on: June 08, 2018, 12:41:20 PM
Man, I wish I wouldn't read too much into this type of news. I mean, I know for every $1million people make there are thousands who also lost money. I know these guys probably had thousands of dollars to start off with, while some of us struggled to accumulate our first few hundred. So I know not to feel bad about all this news, but I know also that I can't help it.

Good for the Japanese of course, I am envious, but I wish everyone well in this world.
10098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is hodling alts dangerous? on: June 08, 2018, 08:20:56 AM
Good point to look at Coinmarket cap lists from 1 year ago, and from 2 years ago, and 3 years ago. Guess how many have fallen out of the Top 50 or Top 100. Of course holding alts is dangerous. Crypto is risky. Bitcoin is risky. But risk is everywhere, you can hold your national currency and it is a huge risk. US dollar is a risk. Just ask those countries whose currency died thanks to hyperinflation. They lost everything.

Diversify, even if you believe in only a few coins, just diversify. That's the name of the game.
10099  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 08, 2018, 07:09:46 AM
Well I don't know about you guys, but those kinds of big bets are not taking place in many casinos anymore. I'd see so many sites in the past with big whales coming in and out and silently betting, but they seem to have disappeared, so it's nice to see they still visit BitDice every now and then. I'm quite sure they are the same group of people with different names, since they are all silent.

Also, must remember price today is many times what it was a year or more ago. A 10 BTC Bet in January 2017 is equal to 1 BTC bet today!
10100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Delisted Coins in Exchanges... on: June 07, 2018, 05:39:16 PM
The coin or token could be delisted of various reasons. For example if we take Titanium Project (TBIS) - at first its previous token (BAR) was delisted from HitBTC because of a hack and a new token (fork) - TBAR was introduces. Now TBAR itself is delisted from IDEX because of the project turmoil caused by SEC investigation and obscure future.

These are technical reasons. But don't underestimate the exchanges desire for profit too. If a coin/token isn't actively developed and has low volume, it will sooner or later be marked for delisting, to save resources and therefore costs. Every platform has its limits in terms of capacity and delisting is also done to trim the unnecessary load when people reserve orders in these low-volume coins. I know, because it happened to me on Bittrex several times. Made me learn my lesson about alts.
