10081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is launching '' FaceCoin ''' on: June 03, 2018, 02:28:41 AM
The "FaceCoin " will someday be a reality. According to many repoprts Mark Zuckerberg's social network would consider creating his own virtual tokens to facilitate paid transactions on his platform that now has some 2 billion user . For this matter Facebook has assembled a team dedicated to the technology of the blockchain. It is directed by David Marcus, former Messenger boss and former president of Paypal.

https://cheddar.com/videos/facebook-plans-to-create-its-own-cryptocurrency

Seems to be very sketchy. I don't know if Facebook will really get benefits of having their own coin because they are not a retail sites like Amazon, they are social media, and they should put huge amount of their budget on privacy and not on project like having their own coins which will not be beneficial for any of their 2 billion user.
10082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 02, 2018, 02:53:49 PM
b) Im Golden State Warriors but I will only received BTC0.005 if this team won.

I really doubt you'd be able to find @1.5 odds for Golden State to win when all books are offering around @1.15. There's no reason for someone to back Cleveland for @3 when they could go to literally any book and get above @5. I guess maybe some people finding taking heavy -EV bets fun?

Outside cryptos (person to person gambling using fiat), that's the usual odds here in my place so Im just checking if anyone will take the same odds here in crypto world.

Just an option too for others who don't want to deal with deposits on a sports betting site.

Yeah, probably much better to have P2P (person to person) bet that the usual odds on gambling website is not the good. I still remember last year was a good bet for GSW for me, as people thinks that Lebron and Kyrie can duplicate that feat the previous year. Maybe I need to go out on the street and look for someone that I can straight bet to. (no odds).
10083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOLOWORLD EVENT IN MANILA on: June 02, 2018, 04:22:36 AM
So many newbie accounts shilling this which looks really bad. To me this just looks like a quick money grab. Bringing nothing new to the market so I would stay away from this.

Hahaha. Straight to the point dude, what happen to the meeting though? how many did attend? I'm not on this ICO or project but the sheer amount of shill to this project up to this day is amazing.

Just to remain to all Filipinos that better be careful where to put your hard earn money here. Better be said that sorry, as we all know that recently someone pull off one of the biggest scams in the country so just be very very careful and don't come back and say that we didn't warn you.
10084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: June 02, 2018, 04:01:27 AM
Seriously, Manny Pacquiao should just retire he is old and really slow compare before when he really young he moves so fast and quick unlike today he cares all about the money. This is all about the money now, boxing is all about the money. After Manny Pacquiao's last fight it was really rigged probably, they paid Manny Pacquiao to lose so that the young boxer can be a star on his own and even challenged Mayweather the chicken boxer. Boxing now is really like acting now they are being controlled by the management for money, which is why I don't watch boxing anymore.

Sometime my impressions in boxing these days specially to those famous fighters can be viewed similar to how wrestling act on stage. Everything was just a matter of game plan along with the promotion goals in their fighting set-up. Even if the Manny won't be honest to tell everybody that its just a game for money, we couldn't stop the people on speculating stories like being controlled by the management of the boxing game promotion. Although not certain, but the reality brought us negative thinking that this coming boxing fight in July 15 might not be fair as what we expect from Manny.
What are you expecting from Manny in this fight? Manny right now is not fighting for the love of the sport, he just want money and fame as we all knew that he love being surrounded by media and he is now old for boxing. I love money but don't support the idea of him fighting in the sunset of his career.

Boxing is a business, with Managers, TV Networks (HBO and SHO and ESPN) and PPV's of course everyone is really here to make a lot of money. Just look at how Floyd crosses over to fight Conor McGregor. But the only difference with WWE or WWF its not boxing doesn't have a story line so there are no setup fights wherein someone will deliberately throw the fight.
10085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy Privacy Privacy! on: June 02, 2018, 03:37:04 AM
Privacy is not stressed enough in crypto world! Every information is made public. No real working app can be built until the privacy problem is solved!

I really don't understand what you are trying to drive at. If you are talking about bitcoin is not anonymous, per se, its more of a pseudo-anonymity. There's a lot of privacy coins out there like Monero, Verge or Zcash.

And as far as bitcoin, privacy only because a problem is you used to scam people or bought something in the darkmarket. They can trace you back because of blockchains. Other's used tumbling services, but I think if you don't exploit bitcoin's sort of anonymity issues then I don't see it as a big hindrance to anyone in my opinion.
10086  Economy / Economics / Re: Is india going to uplift the ban on cryptocurrencies? on: June 02, 2018, 03:12:11 AM
Indian cryoto currency is in court matter as of now and we may see positive changes in some time in before aug and then things may change in India
I do not think India makes the decision to ban the BTC is wrong. I think the BTC is a very potential coin, which benefits the economy and traders in cross-border commodity trading. Very convenient for us. But BTC also brings rich profits to many people. So I think they were wrong to refuse Crypto.

But I don't think that you really understand the issue here. They don't care about its potential, they are afraid that it can disrupt them in economically, and their are a lot of risk investing on crypto specially in ICO related project. Do you think that the government of bank will just say, "OK let just allow them because it has a potential and lots of benefits for our fellow citizens." Lol. They are really afraid of it that's why RBI, issue this memo and this will be a continuing battle.

10087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be greedy! on: June 02, 2018, 02:45:36 AM
While trading we have to follow few rules and without following those rules there is no way to be a successful one except a successful by chance. There are lots of rules of them greedy plays a vital role. While trading never be greedy. If you become greedy while trading then you can be assured that there is 90% possibility to be a lessor.
Yes, greed is always a bad virtue that makes investors lose money. I was greedy and lost more than $ 1k6. But we also need to be greedy at the right time. Be greedy when others are scared.
If you believe in the good future of the Crypto market, you can buy a powerful downward altcoin and hold them long. It will bring a beautiful result.

Being greedy is one of the worst enemy in crypto trading. But its really hard to admit that to ourself. We always think that's its the right decision let's say not to make that sell although we already making good dividends but think it can still go up in the next coming days. We all have been in this situations before and we all know that most of the time it really doesn't work. But we need to recognize and admit that we made that mistake and we shouldn't repeating that same mistakes over and over again.
10088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse on: June 02, 2018, 02:24:41 AM
Manny is too old to fight. Don't get me wrong, I love Manny, but he should be retiring and not fighting anymore. He doesn't have it anymore, too much luxury, joining politics, church stuff, etc. He is too preoccupied to even be fighting anyone. He doesn't even train as hard before a fight like he did back then. This will be a clear win for Matthysse, but gambling wise, we'll have to see the odds.

Yes, you're right mate.. Manny is too much old to play and fight the game. There's a such thing to be made by the newly elected to play. It's not the win over by the loss.. But Manny is becoming older, his faster than ever before but lately his game is became to slow.

Obviously when you get old, the first thing that boxing fans noticed is the lost of speed. There are a lot of boxers who deteriorated overtime once they reach their peaked and the first thing sign is the hands speed. Manny is no exception to that boxing's theory. Roy Jones for example, lost his number one weapon, which is hands speed. His one of the best boxers of his era 1990-2000. But suffered lost after lost when he got old because he don't know defense and his only weapon is his quick and lightning hands and reflexes.
10089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 01, 2018, 11:58:29 PM
There's a big chance that they should have won the game 1 only if JR Smith just take the shot.
So true! they are tied and he's close to the ring even if he missed there's a potential call for that shot.
That's a lot of space he created before the 3pt line from the defender.
Yup, he wasted a lot of time. Have you watched when Lebron is quite shocked and teaching him to take a shot already cos' they are running out of time.
That is a mental lapse for JR Smith and for sure the ghost of it will haunt him in the succeeding game. Anyway, scenarios like that always happen in basketball no matter if you are a pro or not. That's only chance that is given to them by the Warriors to win at least a game because in the next game Andrei Iguadala will be ready to suit up for the Warriors.

Yeah, this is one of the most unacceptable mental lapses that have seen so for in an NBA finals. And Lebron was really frustrated on  JR and its very obvious during the interview I haven't seen him pissed like that before. They had a lot of opportunity and steal the game from GSW homecourt but it wasn't mean to be.
10090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: May 31, 2018, 11:46:08 PM
Lucas Matthysse, I do not really know a whole lot about him, but when they first started talking about this fight, I looked up some videos of him, and the boy has some hands, Manny does too!!  You gotta watch this whiteboy he is quick and strong!!!! 36 k/o's this fight will not last 10 rounds!!!

LOL. He is not technically a "white boy" but he is from Argentina. Yes, during his prime Lucas is one of the biggest puncher around 140 lbs and he has a lot of KO throughout his career. So anything can happen.

You gotta watch this whiteboy he is quick and strong!!!! 36 k/o's this fight will not last 10 rounds!!!
It's easy to give prediction but during the actual fight things might change. We shouldn't underestimate him as Manny doesn't do it although when he's on interviews, he's giving his own opinion that he can beat his opponent easily. I guess that's a way to boost his confidence, as a fighter you shouldn't show your enemy that you are frightened against him.
I cannot imagine how Manny manages his time because he's a man full of priorities.
He's living his life to the fullest and it only shows on how good he is in managing time but in terms of priorities, that's a lot of activities and hobbies to focus with.

I can't remember Manny doing interviews and saying it straight that he can beat his opponent. That's one thing that we love him, he is very down to earth and don't do much trash talking and let his hands do the talk. Such amazement to really see his journey, from a obscure kid back in his town, but lots of dream and now one of the richest sports personalities and a sitting Senator in the Philippines.
10091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: May 31, 2018, 11:21:07 PM
Manipulation of the market today is one of the main problems of the crypto-currency trade. This is due, first of all, to the lack of any regulation in this area. If there are clear rules of the game in the stock markets, then they do not work for the crypto currency market. As a result, scammers get the opportunity to act without fear of any persecution.

As much as we hate it, because its a fraudulent act, we can't really stop it from happening because crypto is decentrallzed. Stock markets have some authority to look at such cases and those involved can be punished, but in our market, manipulation can be done by big whales.

However, I don't think that its the main reason why the market is really going down. If might be one of the many reasons, but overtime when the market bounce back again, I don't think that manipulators can control the market with many getting on board, it will be difficult for them.
10092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 31, 2018, 10:59:18 PM
I'm bit surprised you'll took a bet on yuki why in the world would you take a bet on him lol, I would never take a call on him. As far as the woman game is concerned I'll agree it's really difficult to take a final call, some are not in shape and those who're get suddenly knocked out. I don't think sharapova will win or S Willians though it was good to see her play.

I get slightly tempted when odds jump, Yuki went from 9/5 to 2/1 just suddenly so I thought, yes, why not? Besides the fact that I always bet silly on tennis haha. Totally stayed away from betting yesterday after 2 days' straight loss. I've never been a fan of Sharapova, but that's just personal. I don't watch women's games anyway, but always like to pick on high odds - it seems to me likely that winners tend not to be the favourites unlike men's.

Anyway, Djoko had it easy after the first set so he's going to be my well-rested pick on Friday against Bautista, depending on how the odds may or may not change. Only 6/5 so it's going to have to be for a 2/3 game parlay.

No bets today as well, and only the Nadal-Pella game to watch.

@babygun: well at least tell us how to spot you!
Del Potro, Nadal, Zverev, Thiem and Djokovic all made it to the third round of the competition. Meanwhile Ukraine's Dmytro Badanov has been banned for life and fined an additional $100K for match fixing. He had a career high of 463rd position during 2015

Looks like Badanov have been doing this for years now before he was caught. I wouldn't be surprised if he is really tanking in his games as he always loses on the first round in straight sets. However, that's normal though, may be investigative body really found the smoking gun that's why he is banned for life in tennis. Its good for the sports though, clean them before its goes out of proportion.
10093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rotchilds and Wallestreet stopping the market rise ? on: May 31, 2018, 10:36:08 PM
I think bitcoin and other altcoin prices should be going up by now. but it doesn't happen. I guess Rothschilds are on it. Bankers, and, Wall Street, they're all on it. I feel like we're being forced to stop and wait for them to get on and take control of the next leg of the journey. Meanwhile, we are still patient.

I don't know, maybe its just a conspiracy theory. But I haven't to agree that we should take off by now. But then again, their are a lot of nations around the world who are conspiring and waging war against crypto that's why we are having a difficult time to make a break out run. We have been struggling, but we need one trigger, and we need to be patience because I'm sure one positive news will turn this around very quick.
10094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How gambling can effect the economy of a country [Part 2 - Macau] on: May 31, 2018, 07:17:19 AM
Did you know that they call Macau the "Las Vegas of Asia."? ....but they want to move away from gambling now and plans to

spend about HK$45 billion ($5.7 billion) on facilities including a new arena and space for exhibitions. Sands China touts an

arcade where visitors slay virtual-reality dragons.  Roll Eyes

Sourced from : https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/consumer/macau-will-struggle-to-kick-its-gambling-addiction

Their focus is now to diversify into being a tourist attraction, rather than a gambling hub. The largest single sector attracting

Macau visitor non-gaming spend in the first quarter was shopping. It accounted for 47.3 percent of the per capita spending of

visitors. --->  http://www.ggrasia.com/tourist-satisfaction-with-macau-casinos-rises-in-1q/

But they become so successful in gambling industry that they became the Las Vegas of Asia. So I don't think that they can get away with that "title" for a long time. Never been to Macau but I have friends who chooses to lived there and they say that gambling really help turn the economy outside down.
10095  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: May 30, 2018, 10:20:59 PM
Hi,
Let's suppose that Bitcoin became adopted everywhere such as paying bills with Bitcoin, getting salary with Bitcoin, shopping, restaurant etc...
How your country gonna survive if you only use Bitcoin in a daily basis? I mean a country cannot survive if individuals doesn't pay taxes, well with Bitcoin you don't pay any tax right?
How this gonna be possible? Please shed for me some light on this.
Thanks
for me. the tax is also important, let us think. the country's money can be collected from what is trying if not tax. let alone people who experience a difficult economy, so taxes are also useful to help them.

But the only problem I'm seeing with Tax is that they really need to go to the right place and not on someone's else pocket. I have no problem with tax, but I do hope that the money collected will be channel to more appropriate projects by our government.

Let's look at how Japanese Government is coping with bitcoin, its everywhere legal tender on their country, but they are being tax as well and we haven't seen the negative impact so far.
10096  Economy / Speculation / Re: The coin that will not die. on: May 30, 2018, 10:00:42 PM
Think about it, $7500 after everything that has been thrown at this market? LOL, the manipulators have only proven how strong Bitcoin is. Saddle up, 25k BTC and overall market cap 1 Trillion coming this year.

Exactly, bitcoin is still going strong despite the attacks, FUDs, bans, regulation thrown out of its way. Just shows you how bitcoin is very resilient, and it can't be put down so easily.

There will be a lot of negative news coming our way, that the main thing is not to panic and cross your fingers. I would love to see marketcap go to $1 Trillion in the next couple of years and it means that bitcoin could be around $30K and ETH at $2K a pop.
10097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: May 30, 2018, 06:51:52 PM
I used to gamble everyday ,morning until dawn with my friends or neighbors, at first all I want was to enjoy myself but later on even how many times I loss still I keep on coming back hoping that I can win. I've been a iresponsible mother with my son and depend my responsibilities to my parents. I onced pawned my jewelries or valuable things just because of gambling that's how addicted I am in gambling now I am thankful that I can control my addiction. Yes, I still play but it is not like before I know my priorities and I do not want to risk my family just because of gambling.

Sad to hear your stories but I know that is the norm for most addictive gambling because I know a lot of people with similar stories. Families are shattered, life are broken because that one gambling bet that we did in the past will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

I'm glad that I didn't go that far though, was able to control before its too late, although the damage has been done on my end, I was able to repair it and just gamble when I have the time and just having fun and not totally wanted to look at it as a 'daily job".
10098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 30, 2018, 06:31:33 PM
You guys are excited on the coming NBA Finals?
Do you think Lebron and the Cavs has a chance to upset the warriors? I would like to gamble a bit on this, betting on the Cavs in the series, great odds.

Of course as NBA fans, we always get excited to see who will win the NBA finals, however, we are used to see Lebron James on the finals for the last 8 years. hahahaha. But I think this is really different for him because he doesn't have that support that he used to have (Irving). So it would be great to see him leading the Cavs to the finals and might get a ring again. And yes great odds to bet on them.

10100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford Vs Horn on: May 27, 2018, 10:15:00 AM
There's news that Terrence Crawford and Jeff Horn clash will push through.

If you guys remember, Horn defeated Manny Pacquiao (controversial) fight to take the WBO belt. He wants to proved that he winning the fight is no fluke that's why he is taking a big risk against the also undefeated Crawford.

I have nothing against Horn, but I don't think that he can beat Crawford. Terrence is the heir apparent and the next cash cow for Bob Arum, since Manny is already on the downside of his career.

There are also reports that Manny didn't approved of him fighting in this undercard vs Mike Alvarado. But instead will be going against hard hitting Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.

In the undercard in another Filipino rising star Jerwin Ancajas who will defend his IBF Super Flyweight against Jonas Sultan.

For more info: https://www.boxingscene.com/crawford-horn-officials-named-still-not-officially-announced--126181

Jerwin Ancajas vs Jonas Sultan fight is today. Hope that this kid with give us a good fight and knock out this opponent. He has the showing of the Next Manny Pacquiao.

Horn's trainer making a lot of noise as well for their scheduled June 9 clash with Terrence Crawford.

Quote
Horn's Trainer: Crawford is Just a Man, Horn Beat a Legend!

Glenn Rushton, trainer for WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs), believes his fighter will once again upset the long odds in the coming weeks.

On June 9th, Horn will travel to the United States to make a mandatory defense against Terence Crawford at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Last July, Horn pulled off a major upset when he secured a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. The win gave him the WBO world title.

https://www.boxingscene.com/horn-trainer-crawford-just-man-horn-beat-legend--128518

Jerwin Ancajas won a majority decision against Jonas Sultan. Reports says that it was we expected from Jerwin but at least he defended his 115 lbs belt. I didn't know that Sultan though is a fellow Filipino, so its the first time in about a century that we witnessed fellow Pinoy slug it out for a world title.
