10122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford Vs Horn on: May 27, 2018, 10:15:00 AM
There's news that Terrence Crawford and Jeff Horn clash will push through.

If you guys remember, Horn defeated Manny Pacquiao (controversial) fight to take the WBO belt. He wants to proved that he winning the fight is no fluke that's why he is taking a big risk against the also undefeated Crawford.

I have nothing against Horn, but I don't think that he can beat Crawford. Terrence is the heir apparent and the next cash cow for Bob Arum, since Manny is already on the downside of his career.

There are also reports that Manny didn't approved of him fighting in this undercard vs Mike Alvarado. But instead will be going against hard hitting Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.

In the undercard in another Filipino rising star Jerwin Ancajas who will defend his IBF Super Flyweight against Jonas Sultan.

Jerwin Ancajas vs Jonas Sultan fight is today. Hope that this kid with give us a good fight and knock out this opponent. He has the showing of the Next Manny Pacquiao.

Horn's trainer making a lot of noise as well for their scheduled June 9 clash with Terrence Crawford.

Horn's Trainer: Crawford is Just a Man, Horn Beat a Legend!

Glenn Rushton, trainer for WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (18-0-1, 12 KOs), believes his fighter will once again upset the long odds in the coming weeks.

On June 9th, Horn will travel to the United States to make a mandatory defense against Terence Crawford at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Last July, Horn pulled off a major upset when he secured a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. The win gave him the WBO world title.

Jerwin Ancajas won a majority decision against Jonas Sultan. Reports says that it was we expected from Jerwin but at least he defended his 115 lbs belt. I didn't know that Sultan though is a fellow Filipino, so its the first time in about a century that we witnessed fellow Pinoy slug it out for a world title.
10123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be #1 crypto currency forever? on: May 27, 2018, 02:38:34 AM
Hey what do you think, can any crypto currency change bitcoin? Do you think bitcoin won’t be #1 crypto currency in the recent future? If so, what crypto currency can change bitcoin?

Being the first and widely adopted coins out there, I don't think that there will be a challenger on the throne. The only 2 coins that went as close to topple bitcoin in terms of its marketcap (but not price) is Ethereum and Ripple. But it didn't happened. Why because it doesn't have enough traction. You can also say that to Bitcoin Cash as well, but we all know the people behind are just for making profits that's why it didn't have strong support from the community.
10124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: May 27, 2018, 02:15:26 AM
This could have been done in 2017. however, if it was sold in the first week of 2018, there would be a huge gain. it's too risky to do that right now. the future of altcoins is unknown. but it's hard to say for quality projects.

There are a lot of potential altcoins that can have a good run this year specially at the end of the year. You just have to look at the top then altcoins and I'm sure that you will have a good idea on which coin to invest right now and just hold on it for the next 6 months. Although the market has changed a lot because of so much regulations, we can still potentially earn money by going into altcoins. You don't need to look further as the top 10 coins will really do good this year.
10125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to continue? on: May 27, 2018, 01:47:22 AM
I am at the point where confusion is at its boiling point. I had been very optimistic about the future or bounty campaign and crypto but almost all people who are way more ahead than me were saying that it is pointless and even them are not receiving or earning thus their efforts are not paid off. I am just worried that I will end up like them. I did all and everyday following the ways to promote and is following procedure. Is this really worth doing for? I am not forcing them to give us big time since they are not forcing us to either, I just wanted to really express myself because even my partner in life is not believing on what I am doing. Sad

I mean bounties just like signature campaigns looks for rank right? So if you are just a Jr. Member of course your pay will be less as compare to more senior members. As far as bounties like twitter or facebook depends on the amount of your friends or followers. Plus you have to understand that you are promoting something that is does not have working model yet, so you don't know if  they are going to be successful or not. Its really a gamble, so having said that, sometimes you win and most of the time you are on the losing end. Suck it up and move.

10127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: May 27, 2018, 12:46:03 AM
I once won in the dice game and was very happy so I immediately pulled it and bought stuff for my online game.
Unfortunately after that I never won so I stopped gambling.

Bought my first Macbook from from latest winning. LOL. Been contemplating of really having a good and sturdy laptop and my winning is enough to get me a entry level Macbook Air. Was happy that I bought it because for sure that winnings will be lost again if I go online and play or going to a land based casino. So its better off to invest on something that I frequently used like laptops. I think I made one of my best purchases so far from my winnings.
10128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy Bitcoin pizza day! on: May 27, 2018, 12:22:25 AM
Yeah that funny guy. Bitcoin was worth much much less than it is today so you cannot blame the guy but it's really painful to see how much it is worth today if you visit coinmarketcap.

Of course its regrettable how much bitcoin is worth today and the guy has sold tons of it back in the days. But he became a legend in the crypto world. And he buying pizza was a great publicity stunt back then and I'm sure that its really one success factor that's why bitcoin literally take offs after his he did so its part and parcel and we have to thank him for doing that.
10129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: May 26, 2018, 12:12:23 PM
I read that they are investigating criminal price manipulations over Bitcoin. Manipulation of prices is really possible ? This happened before ?

As far as I know, the Chinese started to last year to investigate their local exchanges about manipulations and fake volumes and 0 transaction fees. So eventually it was the start of the Chinese crackdown on crypto and we all know what happens next.

But as far as Stateside, Yes, its the first time that we heard some investigations about price manipulation or any fraudulent acts so it really affected the price of bitcoin in the last couple of days. Manipulation is really possible specially whales who have a lot of coins at their disposal. They can ever have fake buying or selling orders and once traders saw some big orders, usually panic occurs pulling or even pushing the price.
10130  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is in negative but take it as Positive on: May 26, 2018, 09:15:19 AM
We are witnessing a dip again and its the time when most of us sell to avoid further loss. Don't panic and relax if you already have bought at higher rates just HODL.
The positive aspect of this dip is buying opportunity.

Yes, just like a said, coins are cheap and they are really in bargain. This is a good buying for everyone and don't wait for the price to go dip because it might not happen. Bitcoin for example is trading above $7500 so I don't think that it will go below $7K as everyone is waiting.

So we should also look at the bright side of every dip and try to get the coins you wanted to invest and HODL. I already made my move like 2 days ago and the coins that I invested is being pumped right now hehehe.
10131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looks is right time to invest on: May 26, 2018, 08:55:40 AM
Looks is right time to invest since is low and droping .

time to purchase some on it.  Grin

Obviously, when the market is in red the coins are cheap so its a good opportunity to make a purchase and accumulate more in your wallet. I also not look at the top coins, but good quality shitcoins that might explode in the next couple of months.

You just have to make some research and go on trading platform and go to the trollbox and see what speculators are trying to build up. I mean chances are those coins will be pump next, so its better to get in early. I made such gains using that method and not joining pump-and-dump groups. I just used my instinct to hunt those coins early from the toolbox.
10132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING ADDICTION: when it begin, and how to stop. Let me help you on: May 26, 2018, 08:24:12 AM
Just sad though to hear your story about your uncle and we understand your eagerness to help the community. I for one have witnessed it a lot when I was still young with my close relatives as well and its not really good. So I personally appreciate your efforts. However, stopping gambling must come to one self and its difficult to really help someone if they themselves doesn't want to admit the problem in the first place. The most important thing is to admit it to ourselves and I'm sure that quitting will be an easy task. It might take years but with the support of our family we can achieved it.
10133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 26, 2018, 08:00:22 AM
Anybody else love Shaqtin' a Fool?

Well I'm one of them watching in online though and no players are excepted from Shaqtin though and its really fun to see those guys making those kind of ridiculuos mistakes.

I only watched it though online in Youtube so I don't know if there's some latest upload. So yes, sometimes its better to watch those kind of segment and away from the grinds and enjoy and have a good laugh at NBA players.
10134  Economy / Economics / Re: What language should I learn next? on: May 26, 2018, 07:40:55 AM
I know some of you would wonder what this topic is doing here, in the Economics section, but since it is in fact an economic question with purely utilitarian goals in mind, I think it is where it should be. This is a serious question and I'm not kidding. I'm not very interested in European languages like German or French, or whatever, as I think languages like Chinese and Japanese are more promising and rewarding in terms of both usage and money in the nearest future. Personally, I'm more inclined toward Japanese (that's why I'm not decided yet), though I understand that Chinese may be a better choice for the time being and years to come

So what is your opinion on this matter from an economic point of view, with crypto in mind?

Chinese and Japanese will be a good start as both of them are really involved heavily in crypto currencies. I still remember though attending once seminar long ago and they said that BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) will be big in the next 5-10 years. So perhaps any language like Portuguese or Russia will be also good to learn. They might end up big together with Japan or even South Korea in terms of crypto growth.
10135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 26, 2018, 04:13:29 AM
Huge blow for the Houston Rockets as Chris Paul is said to miss the crucial Game Six against the Golden State Warriors because he has sustained a hamstring injury the team said earlier today.

I thought so.
That face before the end of the 4th quarter tells it all.
He is just forcing to get up so that he wont look weak at his team mates and not let the focus out of the game.
He is a good actor and it looked like justa cramp but it is his history of injury.
Now Houston, what will you do to fill up that blank. They dont even have a good 2nd team. They cannot force it all to Harden or he will be fatigued just like Lebron.

Sounds like an easy win for the GSW in game 6 right? Lets see what will happen, if someone will step up in behalf of chris paul except harden.
I think Paul wont be able to comeback even if they can make it to the finals?
I hate watching the finals with an unhealthy team, specially the superstars.
it's rally unfortunate just when it looked like the Warriors were going to lose the series .now they somehow have the advantage even though they're facing elimination as they are still 3-2 behind. Houston was already on players going down from 7 men to now 6.  they have to use now Gordon as a CP3 in the starting lineup while Green will be the 6th man they are really in though spot and no guards in their bench to fill Everyone is either older or slower just can't keep up with the pace on the floor so i guess James Harden has the opportunity to become legendary with the unfortunate injury to Chris Paul so maybe this will go to a game 7 or will James Harden lay to rest any MVP discussions.

Isn't it exciting though? The top teams slugging it out and both of them are not giving any edge. I thought the Warriors is really done with the losses but the momentum shifts again. I agree with you that Gordon will be used as they have no other options but now. James Harden really needs to come up big so that everyone will have no doubt that he is the real MVP and doesn't wilt under pressure.
10136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: May 24, 2018, 11:49:02 PM
Gambling can have devastating consequences. From losing your money to making it a big addiction for yourself and creating huge problems. There is almost everything bad that can happen with Gambling. You might ending up in some huge debt. You might even become so poor that you will be unable to even meet two ends a day. Moreover what is bad for an addict is that even if he is bankrupt he just can't refrain himself from doing gambling.
what is the surety that fun cannot take shape of addiction after some time. In reality, it is this entertainment that makes a gambler addict. He gets used to the feeling while playing this game and that is what gamblers pursue. Regardless of the reason behind gambling, it will become a bad habit if a lot of time is spend doing this activity. Everyone likes to be pleased for as long as possible and fun seekers are vulnerable to same fact.
There’s no surety that fun will never become an addiction. However, I think that fun leads the person to addiction as far as gambling is concerned because every gambler replies with the same answer that he started playing gambling just for seeking fun but later on it became an addiction to him. I think playing it for fun or to play it for earning profits both have deadly ends.

Right, actually everyone started playing just for fun but turns into addiction (including me). But I was able to somewhat control it by just playing free online games. I just wanted to get a feel of the slot machines, those poker tables, and other games that's why I turn my habits into addiction. But I somewhat able to cope with it when playing just free games around thus reducing my risk of losing money. Other's should try it and see how it affects your gambling habit.

Warriors list Thompson, Iguodala as questionable for Game 5

Quote
Injury report for tomorrow night's Game 5 at Houston: Andre Iguodala (left lateral leg contusion) & Klay Thompson (left knee strain) are questionable. Patrick McCaw (lumbar spine contusion) is out.

Ouch!
That hurts a lot.
Even if Thompson is not productive at the last games he is somehow widening the court.
With the fear that he can shoot three points he could bring out one player to avoid a narrow sight for other players.

This is going to be hard for them. Looks like Nick Young will be playing for a lot of minuted now and also Bell.

They need someone behind the three point line just so to make the old plays.

Probably that's the reason why all of a sudden Thompson was somewhat the missing link because he is nursing an injury. I'm expecting him to have good game as well, but as I GSW fans, its a big blow for them.

Its going to be hard but not impossible though. They still have KD and Steph Curry to carry them and the bench team for support although they need to be perfect in order to beat Houston Rockets.
10138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 24, 2018, 10:56:41 PM
Not long now before the French Open starts and like I have been saying on here, I'm going to be looking for some value as Nadal is too short at $1.40 to win. I decided to put two small bets on Alexander Zverev @ $9.00 and Dominic Thiem @ $11, I think these two offer great value as they have performed well in the lead up tournaments and they seem to be the main challenge to beating Nadal. Djokovic is also good at $13 but just not sure if his fitness is 100% to challenge Nadal. I bet with Bet365.

Thanks mate for letting us know what the line is for Zverev and Thiem as they are the one who likely challenge Nadal for the French crown. Probably Nadal will go around $1 - $1.2 once the tournament started because he is really the favorite.

Or maybe we can see someone getting into the picture. I don't think that Djokovic will have the stamina to put up a good show in this tournament. Might take some time for him to recover to his old form.
10139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to Sell Altcoins on: May 24, 2018, 10:28:24 PM
Hy guys. Most of the time I use to trade with altcoins and I use to sell altcoins when they are above ICO price and giving some profit. I do not hold atlcoins for long time. What if you have some altcoins, what will be your strategy to use that coins? Is there any specific best time for every altcoin and when it is going well and we should sell ??

Its really good if you can buy them at ICO price then wait for the pump before offloading them. Based on my experience, I was able to sell them at the right time although I sold, the price continues to soar but at least I have already made lots of profit and I don't want to be greedy plus my exit strategy was satisfied that's why its time to sell them. So if you have altcoins get them while they are cheap (pre-Sale or ICO price), wait till they are listed on an exchange, then wait for the pump, offload as soon as you exit plan is met. Rinse and Repeat.
10140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Red Price to End Soon on: May 24, 2018, 09:57:10 PM
In the wake of dramatic movement in the bitcoin prices and other digital currencies, US has launched a probe into the BTC price manipulation. Bitcoin has dropped about 20% since last month’s peak that raised the hackles of the authorities resulting in this investigation that might soon bring the greens back.

More: https://coingape.com/feds-launch-investigation-into-btc-price-manipulation/

The effect is very evident as the price really goes down very fast but the good thing is that it has somewhat recovered and hovering around $7500 because it went down as low as $7200-$7300 mark and you will notice that a lot of thread popping saying that bitcoin will go to $3K levels. Lol. Again, this is just short-lived and we will be back in the $8K levels after the dust have been settled.
