10141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best ways to target new 'below-radar' coins to mine? on: July 14, 2017, 07:34:35 PM
Unfortuntely most new coins are ICOs so you can't mine them.

WTF happend with pool pasl.fairpool.xyz ?
For the past 2 days I have not mined anything  Shocked Sad Angry

Please use the new stratum

mine.pasl.fairpool.xyz:4009

Why did nothing about the address change be written in the news on the pool?

Because the old address was still being active, it wasn't removed completely.

Our pool is being DDOS from time to time. Xiphon is adding protection to prevent these attacks from occuring.

The GPU will last 3 years for sure however in 3 years mining might not be profitable anymore so you won't be using it to mine.

Trading Stats for yesterday.

My advice is to maybe take a break until September from any type of trading. Usually in July-Aug there is very little liquidity because all the fund managers are on vacation. Usually in Sept-Oct the markets are in full swing.

Even the stock market was very slow today, not much happened with the most active stocks.

I wait 3days.Lol safdice

Its Summer. Usually in the Summer people take a vacation so they might be away from the office. Maybe they are somewhere where there is no internet access or limited internet access, so they are dealing with important matters.

My advice just wait a few more days and try not to freak out. As far I am concerned this is not a scam website. So don't worry.

10148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu bubble well and truly bursting on: July 13, 2017, 10:44:54 PM
Right now a RX 470/570 4GB if you Dual mine brings in exactly $2.20/day.

The 1080Ti mines ZEC at ~700H/s and makes $3.41/day.

Even though the 1080Ti is slightly more efficient, its should be negligible at these profits.

So the card costs triple, and only makes $1/day more than RX 470. How does that make sense?

Yes I know its very optimized in certain algos like LBRY or NXS or Skein, etc. However those coins have very low market caps and can easily crash in the near future. You can't depend on them for mining in the future.

So which is smarter...

1)

Buy RX 470 and make $2.20/day today

In 6 months make $0.50/day

2)

Buy 1080 Ti and make $3.41/day today

In 6 months make $0.75/day

Which one do you think will make you more money in the long run? The 1080 Ti most likely won't even be able to cover their depreciation when they hit eBay.

10149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu bubble well and truly bursting on: July 13, 2017, 09:58:56 PM
The only people who are hurting are the ones who bought the GTX 1070/1080/1080ti. Most people who bought AMD probably came out ahead, even if they bought the GPUs late. As long as you paid MSRP for the AMD GPUs you should be fine.

However those you bought the 1080Ti for $700, with a current daily profit of $3/day you really should just return those GPUs back to the retailer for a refund.
Haha, not really, buying more 1080 Ti.

If you can explain to me why you think a 1080 Ti is a wise investment please let me know? Maybe I suck at math but

One RX 470/570 is ~$200 and makes $2.30/day

One 1080Ti is $700 and makes $3/day.

From the creator of cryptoproof (me) comes a new social experiment, a platform where users are able to bet against one another directly without the need for a dice or third party event.

Victors are selected based on pure risk aversion, (highest deposit wins).

All transactions are 100% transparent thanks to the blockchain and all outcomes are available for viewing on the results page.

Trawl through previous wagers, look for repeat depositors, calculate average amounts and go fishing but watch out for sharks and whales!

Any problems or questions feel free to contact support at our sister site:

This is probably the second time I've seen this post and second time I've visited the website, read the description and "how it works" but I am still very confused how it works exactly.

I got good English and I am having trouble understand what the goal of the site exactly is. Also keep in mind alot of gamblers aren't English as their first language and they probably won't understand either.

Can you please update your website and make it easier to understand and more clear?

I did the same - checked the site and read how it's work... and nah. I don't understand.
And TBH I don't want to waste more of my time to re-read it and understand. If you want to make a game open to mass players, you need to keep it simple.

From what I understand it seems like some kind of legit pyramid scheme type gambling. Basically the one who deposits the most BTC wins the entire pot correct?

So eventually it will keep growing and growing and obviously the gamblers with the most BTC will win since they are the only ones who can take that risk. Not really worth it for the small gamblers.
10151  Economy / Gambling / Re: ᴥᵜᴥ Oshi.io .ᴥᵜᴥ. A different online casino! .ᴥᵜᴥ. Choose your own bonus ᴥᵜᴥ on: July 13, 2017, 08:11:07 PM
every casino that is offering a deposit bonus is scamming you

stay away from that crap

Oh, come please. Really? So every online casino is scamming you, right?
Bullshit. And let alone that we offer kinda unique welcome deposit bonus where you choose what you want to get and what you dont want to / dont like. And you are also free to refuse bonus if you dont like them Wink

Btw, this is saying someone who is promoting "investing in a crypto site", I am not saying it's your case, but you mostly get scam in one of these...

And if you want to be sure that our players like the bonuses they chose and the enjoy them, just read some of excellent reviews on us.

You got to understand why people are upset and its because people have lost many BTC in various scams, exchanges, hacks, viruses, worms, etc.

So even when there is a small chance of a scam, people stay away.

In general people don't want to do business with anyone who was accused of fraud or scamming in the past because history repeats itself and they don't feel comfortable keeping their BTC in the hands of a previous scammer.
10152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet older miners? on: July 13, 2017, 08:04:21 PM
S4 can be underclocked to pretty quiet and still around 1.6TH or so. S7-LN is fairly quiet and with an undervolt mod can be made not quite S3 silent but pretty close and still see upwards of 2TH. The same mod can be done on an S7 which, with 3 boards instead of 2, is more dense and so will require higher fan speeds for the same level of cooling.

No man. This will never be quiet even if underclocked and undervolted.

For starters the PSU fan is very noisy.

The S4 industrial fans you can hack the fan controller in the software but at the very min speed it will still be crazy loud.

I even hooked a pair of the stock S4 fans in series so 6V going into each fan and it was still loud.

Quietest is probably the S3 will swapped case fans.

The S5 will overheat with case fans, and the S7-LN undervolted is also kinda loud.

You might of put it in at an angle where the +12v and the GND were crossing.

10154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future mining - what to deal with? on: July 13, 2017, 06:59:10 PM
In September there will be almost no profit in mining. Just mine now from your home instead of renting a facility.

That is wrong. It is the exact time when AMD RX Vega Frontier cards will be out, they will be out for another purpose but in the end they will be used for mining too. The specifics of it were terrific , people expect to reach at least 45-50 mhash on Ethereum without overclock. So those cards will be the new Eldorado of mining as soon as they arrive. There is still the GTX 1080 ti which will continue to be profitable in mining although profit will drop significantly during September and on too.

Who cares about getting 45mh/s with VEGA when 45mh/s will be about $0.50/day worth of profit.

Difficulty doubling every month, ice age will be 30 seconds in Sept, and price is ETH can still fall to $50-100 a coin.

You probably plugged it into a 16x slot backwards, you can't plug the riser into a 1x slot backwards, it won't let you.

Wow Primedice rocks! This thread is a living history and it will continue to be a witness of Primedice's success! I'm already 2 months old in Primedice and I'm really loving it!

Thanks jzale, that means a lot Smiley . As mentioned be sure to checkout https://forum.primedice.com

By the way, I dont know if this was asked before but its a legit question.

With the huge altcoin sell off which is bringing BTC down. Why don't you guys offer USDT Tether as one of your altcoins? In times of crisis and bubbles bursting it seems like a safe haven compared to BTC.

Are there any regulations since its linked to the fiat US dollar?
I wouldn't buy/hold usdt and wouldn't recommended anyone to use it. especially after 1 usdt slipped to $0.9 before. i had it when it happened and now i don't and never will!
you should read their tos.
"There is no contractual right or other right or legal claim against us to redeem or exchange your Tethers for money. We do not guarantee any right of redemption or exchange of Tethers by us for money. There is no guarantee against losses when you buy, trade, sell, or redeem Tethers."

Yes I understand there is some degree of risk. But if you are holding it in the short therm it should be fine.

I am pretty sure most gamblers will lose their money or BTC anyways so they will hold the USDT tether for a short while anyways nothing long term.

But it protects against what can happen on Aug 1st.

get a different account, the one without red trust and remake the topic
this one is going to take you nowhere, you are doing a great disservice to DAO,actually
also reword it,if you THINK it CAN be 30x return in 6 months then say so
manipulation and ponzi like statements are not good for business

Again the 30x profit doesnt come from Dao Casino

independent researchers said that and what ponzi

can you at least read through the whole tread before posting something
always the same dumb questions, READ before posting, is this so difficult?

Alright what is going on here because all over Bitcointalk I see new accounts promoting this Dao Casino over and over again. There is also another user promoting the exact same thing.

Didn't you guys generate enough ETH from your ICO already? Why come here and spam?

"at least they are online and paying?" I haven't been able to withdraw for 9 days!
What are we talking about here!

Basically nothing is working properly. Either they are over loaded with new Bitcoin users and their server can't handle the excess load or the administrator got some hourly job somewhere and no longer has time to devote to this website.

He has time to go on Bitcointalk but doesn't have a few seconds to tell us about the issues.

Even if its a bad life event like a family death and he is too depressed to work, he can come in here, explain what happened and we would understand instead of being left in the dark.
