10161  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: October 28, 2016, 11:48:49 PM
When I applied, I took an Error there are no free slot. Is it full now?
It should not be full. Also, I'm not sure why you are applying. You are primarily posting in a Local section and would get banned.

Rules:
- You must post in multiple sections of the forum during your participation/week (if higher post count). People who make posts in short bursts will be permanently banned!

are you discrimination  other language?
Even if I was discriminating, which I'm not, I would have every right to do so.

primarily is the word so it does not pass to the requirement of posting in multiple sections..
Correct. You are allowed to post in local sections, but you have to post a similar amount of posts in diversified sections outside of it.

I mean if the campaign got improved, I think their rate also need to improve either since 0.0007/post quite low for Senior and Hero rate I think
Talk to Bitmixer, do not waste space in my thread as I'm most certainly not going to request such a change.

The estimate is based on: previous number of enrolled users - current number of enrolled users. Bitmixer has not given me an exact number yet. In any case, you will be able to enroll after the next round of bans. I'll get to the rest when possible.
10162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13.1 Released Problems on: October 28, 2016, 08:57:39 AM
Sorry, Lauda, just telling cannot install 0.13.1, so I have no debug.log.
Make your anti-virus software ignore it, and report a false detection. As said, open a thread for your own issues.
10163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13.1 Released on: October 28, 2016, 08:50:16 AM
When trying to install 0.13.1 my protection program tells its unsafe and delete the install file.
Your protection program is the one at fault, and you're probably using something half-baked. Bitcoin Core tends to be falsely identified by such.
10164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13.1 Released Problems on: October 28, 2016, 08:43:13 AM
I have problem with my Bitcoin Core, both 0.13.0 and 0.13.1. After 34 weeks processing blocks on disk I'm getting fatal error again and again. It says I have to look into debug.log but cannot find it.
This would be thread hijacking. Create your own thread after you've found the debug.log here: Technical Support

It's going to create a new wallet even If I add the old backup of wallet.dat in the appdata folder ?
No. If you have a wallet.dat in your Datadir, it will not create a new wallet.

If I got this right , this Segregated witness soft fork is implemented but will only be activated in 15th November ?
No. That's the signaling start day. Activation will likely happen in December or later.

That does that mean for lightweight wallets btw ?
Nothing special.

IIRC Bitcoin Core 0.13.0 or 0.12.x added HD wallet feature , If I want to upgrade now , should I take the wallet.dat I have and make a backup of it or that wouldn't do much as the wallet became HD ?
If you have a SD wallet, it will remain SD. Only wallets created using version 0.13.0 or later are HD.
10169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "Error loading block database. Do you want to rebuild the block database now?" on: October 28, 2016, 06:17:42 AM
What do you mean the wallet is encrypted?  Did you password protect it?
Yes, that's what it usually means when someone says 'encrypted' wallet for Bitcoin Core.

Did I Lose The Coins?
No.

Am I able to restore the wallet and the coins will be there after blockchain syncs?
Should be fine after you rebuild.

Can I move the coins into another client using the wallet.dat file? I would like to sweep the coins into Electrum if possible. I have it already installed.
If you are in a rush, you could send the wallet to me or someone else that is trusted (watch out for scammers) and I (or they) could send the coins to an address of your choice. I'm not sure how much time rebuilding takes.
10170  Other / Meta / Re: Wings Spammers on: October 27, 2016, 08:16:45 PM
Could you post a link to all of the accounts?

Mods really don't see this crap?
Bans aren't exactly going at an optimal pace, especially since the situation degraded heavily in through Q1 to Q3 and started improving with the addition of another administrator.

10172  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: October 27, 2016, 05:48:39 PM
Well, you're right, that works. However, for someone that likes to review who's in, a sorted list would be more effective.
That is of lesser importance right now. I may or may not write a small sorting program for my personal needs, so these would end up being automatically sorted and checked (to help automate the combined list). Generally, the list will serve as a decent starting point (for campaigns run by one of the participating managers or someone wanting to run their own campaign), but as a general measure of combating spam it is inadequate because of other campaigns (e.g. SecondsTrade, Komodo) at this time.

No need to write a program to do that for you. If you drop the data into Excel you can quickly sort it alphabetically.
That takes away the 'experimenting' part away, but thanks!

10174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FACT CHECK: Bitcoin Blockchain will be 700GB in 4 Years on: October 27, 2016, 03:31:13 PM
and is the when, more likely to be sooner rather than later?
November 15th is the signaling start day. So 2 weeks worth of blocks (if everyone is already signaling by then) + 2 weeks worth of blocks (fallout period) after the starting day. This come down to mid December (earliest).

Will we see a negotiations on increasing the 1mb size cap in order for segwit to see the light of day?
It would be really hypocritical to claim that one wants on chain scaling and then stall Segwit.

How big does a block have to be to fit in 2000 - 3000/s worth of transactions in there?
The math is rather simple for providing a estimate. In theory, Bitcoin can do 7 TPS at 1 MB. However, in real world usage we are talking about 3 TPS. In order to reach 3000 TPS (Visa can do a lot more) you would need 1000MB blocks (over 50 TB of storage per year). Bitcoin, as a decentralized network, will likely never be able to scale up to Visa without additional layers. Segwit can do 14 TPS in theory (testnet block with ~8+k transactions).

I have noticed that only some of the centralized Bitcoin based services, miners and exchanges are in a hurry to fork to Bitcoin Unlimited. If the nodes follow the whims of the said entities which are really what can be considered part of the "Bitcoin Elite" then Bitcoin has debased itself as a project controlled by an oligarchy.
As I always say, the primary reason to rush adoption, while hurting decentralization, is greed.
