10161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: May 04, 2018, 06:01:08 PM

I wasn't wondering at all actually, not when Ether is trying to touch $800 and Bitcoin is making serious moves to the good old 10k mark. I see alts moving across the board, though with some tensions, and not as freely as Bitcoin. Even my beloved LTC is still struggling to get past $150 properly.

Binance posted huge profits in Q1 and are only just expanding, so expect a lot of volume, a lot of demand. Could altcoin season be returning?
10162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PayPal CEO said bitcoin SCAM ! on: May 04, 2018, 04:10:33 PM
Disregarding the fact that anyone can say whatever they want, and disregarding the fact that fiat authorities like the IMF have already praised Bitcoin, I would like to say that the last people I would trust their words are people who operate things like Paypal.

So many places to start. All the scams perpetrated with Paypal. All the unfair blockings and restrictions and witholding of people's money. All the lovely hackers and scammers who actually use Paypal, sell hacked Paypal, etc. And their CEO says Bitcoin, which is impervious to all of these, is a scam. Good joke, Mister CEO.
10163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Offshore company with own bank account and debit card- Best price ! on: May 04, 2018, 02:36:03 PM
Interesting, if the price is right. But is Slovakia not part of the EU now, where it is almost basically impossible to open anonymously, meaning, you are forced to still provide the identification of someone, at least as a minority shareholder (since this is a company account). What is the maintenance, and is online access anonymously still possible from anywhere in the world? Swiss bank accounts even do not any longer allow non-Swiss entities to open anonymously now.
10164  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: May 04, 2018, 10:27:29 AM
BitDice performance upgrade will soon be ready for in-house testing and being prepared for full release! Effectively making it possible for even quicker bets for everyone.

Hi Boxxob what does this mean are you'll updating the site, in terms of graphics what Alex had asked opinion about. Or are the servers being upgraded to even make the site faster. Could you give some clues as the waiting period is always difficult  Grin. I'm sure this is a welcome news for all but we could all use some insights.

Performance updates to make the site faster are coming first.

Exciting times for BitDice... I think a lot of people have been working for the full release, hopefully some new features also coming along with the performance upgrades? Quicker bets are always what autobetters look for (yes, I'm one)... but more importantly, autobetting that doesn't stop after 30 mins because that's the main issue I find with dicebots. You set them to run the whole night but the sites I use always time out the bot or freeze after an hour or so max so I wake up and see my strategies seldom unfold.
10165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis of the mid-term for Bitcoin price on: May 04, 2018, 09:12:49 AM
I'm with you on your last point, and I had already felt that myself in January when the nosediving began. The correction was long overdue, and in fact should have lasted a lot longer and beared down a lot heavier than what actually transpired. For me this would have been necessary for Bitcoin to fully get into gear for establishing a bull run in 2019, but looking at how it's managed to not to do that, and is now approaching 10k yet again, I think this makes a strong case for a consolidation period that will last two years, 2020 and the next halving is a solid estimate for the end of that period.
10166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETC the next big moon ? on: April 24, 2018, 07:06:00 AM
I think it will surely reach the old heights of 900k satoshi plus, and from which point it will definitely aim for 1 million and above. That's always the case with alts, and ETC is definitely one of those that's waiting for its time to gain prominence and recognition, after staying so long in the shadows of ETH. I have to admit I personally know almost nothing about this project, but from what little I do, it's a bit sad that the events leading to ETH's creation had to happen. I think it's just a matter of time before people find out about the history and realise its significance.
10167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdops and KYC on: April 23, 2018, 06:45:34 PM
I wasn't even really into airdrops that required more than an email, so I'll definitely be passing up on KYC unless I actually LIKE the project. I foresee huge drops in participation for airdrops, but so much the better for everyone. Less spam, less people creating 50 accounts to collect a few dollars in free tokens, less dumping of tokens... perhaps finally leading to less useless projects all looking like exact copies of each other and trying to "revolutionize" whatever industry they think they're in.
10168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: whaleclub.co 20x leverage I DONT GET IT on: April 23, 2018, 12:21:11 PM
Be extremely careful when you trade with margins, various sites have various terms on how they perform forced liquidation, and most traders can't even think beyond 2x leverage, much less 20x leverage. Both complaints posted above seem unwarranted. Just trade 1:1 if you have problems with simple mathematics. Sorry to be harsh but you guys should really understand what you're getting yourselves into with margins and with futures trading.
10169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite ICO at the moment? on: April 23, 2018, 06:42:36 AM
Right then, let me add my suggestion, something I'm trialling out: Marinecoin. This is a free ICO (doesn't cost money, with a "proof of promotion" algorithm to distribute free of cost).

-blockchain generation time quick at 2 seconds, so fast transactions. Standard quick alt here. 20k coins for each proof of promotion.
- "dev-less". It's got AI as its developer. A bit strange perhaps but if you think about it, devs aren't going to live forever. This is probably the feature that caught my attention... my favorite coins now all have devs I love but what happens when they die? Will I get dev replacements I like? Maybe better to trust AI, without being too funny?

10170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think will happen in may on: April 22, 2018, 06:50:46 PM
If you're referring to Consensus 2018 summit held by Coindesk then I wouldn't be excited. If there is something I learned in the crypto world is that whenever a lot of people expect something, It simply doesn't happen. Examples: price skyrocketing after BTC futures, after block halving etc. If you believe in the technology, invest and look for the long term otherwise just don't as you might get disappointed.

That would be one of the most ridiculous things to happen if that event were to result in price jumps. All these events are full of hot air, with corporate suits seeking each other out to pat each other on the back and partner up with each other. Everyone wants everyone else's network to invest in their next ICO. I bet you, ICO A invests in ICO B and into C and so on, so everyone thinks, wow what a lot of invested money, I should join too.

What will happen in May? I think this rise will continue, or it will lose every foothold gained in April before people start crying again. Oh wait, that's basically my prediction for every month.
10171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are there any tips for taking short-term profits in cryptocurrency? on: April 22, 2018, 06:29:16 PM
There is such a thing as "arbitrage transaction". Its essence is the following, you find an order to
sell cryptocurrency at a cheap price on one exchange (for example, etherdelta) and looking for a
more profitable on the other (forkdelta for example)  You should take into account all the costs of
commissions and other costs. Personally, I  I have watched many times the situations on the
stock exchanges contributing to this.

It seemed to be the most viable way to trade but anyone who has ever tried arbitrage trading must know two things: one side of the exchange is usually inaccessible to you. Usually this means it's only open to certain geographical users or must require verification - which is usually why people can't always take advantage of the price there.

Second thing: arbitrage gets less easy to do with timing between trades. In theory, you just buy cheap on platform A and sell expensive on platform B. But after withdrawing, if it takes hours or even days, you miss out on platform B prices.
10172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 22, 2018, 05:20:30 PM
We're going to see quite the FA Cup final: Man Utd vs Chelsea. But even though this is an important trophy in english football, I think it'll be nothing more than a consolation prize, I doubt the fa cup was a priority for both Conte and Mou at the start of the season.

Also, what's with Chelsea players getting angry after being subbed off? the other day it was Morata, today it was Willian...that dressing room doesn't look too happy with Conte.

Well Mourinho wasn’t employed & paid millions upon millions a season to win the FA Cup or League Cup or Europa League. He was employed by Man Utd to try & win the PL & or CL which he has failed spectacularly in doing so far despite spending hundreds of millions.

Conte will be sacked this summer any way but he brought them the title.

Also @tokeweed - I suppose I agree. Burnley might find it tough to keep hold of Dyche, do you agree?

Chelsea is a funny bunch, they win the league one season, then they almost relegate another, they win it again, then can't qualify for Champions League. Just goes to show money gets you results but maintaining position is another. And players throwing fits are not good, they should just be let go. Manager is not the problem when players have no discipline.

And oh, Dyche is top rated manager according to ESPN full 10/10 marks. Even Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Pocchetino only got 9/10. Mourinho is a miserable 6 and Arsene Wenger only 5.
10173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Decent.bet online Casino $ Passive Income Model $ Slots $Craps $ Sportsbook on: April 22, 2018, 05:02:21 PM
I'm not going to spend my time on test nets, nor am I interested in that type of slot, I think most crypto gamblers also don't really waste time with slots - but got to say that I've been having a so-so to good experience with all gambling related tokens, and I might want to try this out now too. Not sure this is really decentralized though, not that I quite care at the moment. Everything I have invested into gambling is sort of centralized anyway.

Looks good by the way, just waiting to try other non-slot games in non-test mode.
10174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitro randomly locking accounts ****(Poker related not Sportsbook)**** on: April 22, 2018, 09:30:36 AM
I suppose this is the best outcome you could have hoped for. Money refunded and you're out of the game for now. I have no problems with Nitro but never strayed outside of sportsbook, and I make a new account almost every time I make a fresh deposit, simply because it's an anonymous account (which surely is not against terms). They should still make it very clear though in their terms and conditions. That's the shifting world of crypto gambling isn't it?
10175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptocurrency are you currently buying during a dip? on: April 21, 2018, 08:49:32 PM
Dips aren't ever to me the entry for alts. Or even for coins you don't want to hold. As user above posted, chief to buy in a dip is Bitcoin, that's the only one I am surest of in this ocean of uncertainty. But because I also hold alts like Monero and Litecoin (with almost the same beliefs as I have in Bitcoin), these are the ones I also buy during dips. Everything else almost is pure speculation.
10176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade wisely on: April 21, 2018, 05:30:03 PM
Buy when the markets are red. Check the coin foundation - Team, Marketcap, Volume. Sell when green at least 3% profit will be good for selling. Repeat the pattern and don't be too greedy.  Constantly reap good money.

Er, no, not the best advice. Markets were red for weeks in January. I waited even longer to buy lower floors in February and most of them are STILL waiting to break even. Can't imagine what happened in January to all those traders who though 20% or even 30% dips were great entries. Many alts broke 70% losses and even 90%. Even one particular coin I bought (Elastic) during a dip last year has continued to drop to depths I could never expect. Great project, great coin, but there we go.
10177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Earn Crypto for Providing Info with Bitfortip! on: April 21, 2018, 04:29:30 PM
I tried that for a while, but to be honest, I think I can earn more just doing regular work. Too much effort to put in, and very few people appreciate plus it is hard to dethrone those who already give the best tips. Reminds me of Steemit. You work hard but all the reputable people take the bulk of earnings. Sorry, but this is not really for newbies making a start. Work normal jobs, pays better, buy your own crypto with the cash.
10178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How do you do to prevent FB account locked? on: April 21, 2018, 02:36:00 PM
Well, all general rules of decency apply, in my opinion. It's fine to talk about crypto especially if you're a bounty hunter. But there is a tasteful way to do it, and there is the shilly way to do it. Think of your content as the audience does. Does it look spammy? If so, change the content and talk to your audience the way you normally would. And do your own research too. Speak for projects you know won't likely scam. It's all the scam ICOs that are causing this lockup, plus the shilly bounty hunters.
10179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 20, 2018, 09:10:19 PM
You know, perhaps I underestimated some of the newcomers and investors of some coins. I'd always taken you Verge guys to be just part of the shill machine. But judging from the majority of comments even from holders, I'm actually quite surprised to say that a lot of you actually were disappointed in this massive backfiring of a partnership. Maybe you're not all the sheep XVG devs are taking you to be after all.

P.S. Sold everything except 100 XVG. Who knows?
10180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 20, 2018, 07:17:45 PM
@cAPSLOCK, I too, fell ill each time I see the impossibly ridiculous coins like Ripple moving up and eating up headline spaces. They don't just run like a e-card startup, they keep falling in line with the very institutions that cryptocurrency ideals are supposed to be against. I hate seeing all the corporate suits in this market. I hate reading a news item only to find out it's a sponsored PR. I hate that everywhere I look now, I see crap upon crap and people getting rich all of it, at the expense of the idea.
