10181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future Coin Market Cap on: May 05, 2018, 09:38:07 AM
Hi, what do you think will be the coin market cap in the end of 2018/2019/2020? Than it should also be possible to reach some very high price for some coins where we say right now "the cmc is too high already" or?

2017 was really huge for us, I think we get to almost $800M that time. So obviously if we see bitcoin price go above $20K at the end of 2018 market cap would be then around 1 Trillion. So that is very huge amount and can rival any top companies valued in the fortune 100. However, there's no one that can really say how the market will really moved so its going hard to see what will be the market year after year.
10182  Economy / Speculation / Re: we're pumpin right now on: May 05, 2018, 08:24:51 AM
Seems like we tested 9700, went past it and inmedietly came back down (9630 right now)). 10k in the next 24h? Nah, I don't think we'll get there today, resistance still looks strong.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/goldman-sachs-says-bitcoin-is-not-a-fraud-plans-trading

Maybe this news triggered a small FOMO buying wave? the news could've the "push" some people needed to finally buy. Or it could be the market just doing its own thing.

But its seems we are above $9700 again so let's see if we can get to $10K. Its too large a wall it front of us so we need a couple more days before we can finally see it broken. Let's say be patience because eventually we will get there.

Just hit $9700. Up >6% last 24 hours. Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?
We are now just 200 short of reaching 10000, it is going to be very interesting what happens when we reach that price, I'm very sure that there are a significant number of sell orders set at that price so it's possible we are not going to see that price for a long, but it will be a small signal that bitcoin is making a small comeback and that is important after the very difficult start that we got in this year.

Yes its going to be really interesting and I think getting to $10K will be a defining moment. Are we going to sustain it? or another crash is coming? Remains to be seen.
10183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum reached $800 mark on: May 05, 2018, 08:02:21 AM
There is a lot of positive momentum in the crypto market right now though it remains to be seen how long the momentum will last. Currently, Ethereum is on a bull run. The coin is outperforming the rest making it altcoin of the moment.

The coin has gained over 12% in the past 24 hours and this has helped it cross the $800 mark for the first time since the early weeks of March. As of this writing, Ethereum has a market cap of $79,250,101,351.

source : https://crypto-lines.com/2018/05/04/ethereum-is-on-a-bull-run/

Yes, Ethereum is really pumping and past $800 which is a bit fast in my opinion. I think maybe we can see another all-time-high in the next coming months assuming that the market keeps on pumping like this.

Well, I'm just happy seeing the price go up again, but I would again be cautious though. I wanted to see a slow increase, but I guess we can't really control people sentiments everyone really wanted to get in and have a piece of the action on Ethereum.
10184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: May 05, 2018, 03:20:26 AM
It's already sealed in the society that gambling is negative and it can give no positive result.

My parents raised me and taught me that gambling is too bad for everyone though he has money to gamble and he's supporting himself and as well his hobby which is gambling.

Who knows if this can be changed in the future, we are now living in the generation where bad becomes good and vice versa.

On the contrary, my father was a gambler and my mom, well, she plays occasionally but to have some fun. But both of them have raised our beautifully, although the influence of gambling didn't put significant dent on our family relationship and as far as I know I'm the only one who 'inherited' my fathers' gambling habit. Its being seen as negatively though by a lot of society simply because its bring more harm inside a family, (addicted father reflecting on the kids) so it only makes sense the its being frown by the community. But I was very lucky that even though my parents sort of a gamblers, we have been raised and finished our education.
10185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez tested positive on a banned substance on: May 05, 2018, 03:00:16 AM
I don't know if boxing fans here are aware of the latest news:

Quote
For those who have yet to hear, it was announced on Monday that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez had tested positive for “trace levels” of Clenbuterol during voluntary pre-fight screening for banned substances ahead of his May 5 rematch with Gennady Golovkin.

http://www.fighthype.com/news/article32541.html

They blame it on the contaminated meat in Mexico which is really plaguing the country now. But I don't know if this is intentional or what and they are pointing fingers to the meat industry for using Clen to raised and breed their cattles to be more lean with less fat on it.

What's your take on this?

But I hope that GGG vs Alvarez II will push thru this May to settle once and for all who is the true p4p king.

I thinks on the first fight  the real winner is Gennady Golovkin because he landed more  sloid punch on there first , rather than alvarez and we prove that alvarez he is a cheater by using a substance known clenbuterol that found in the meat they eat,so therefore maybe the fight GGG vs Alvarez  maybe cancelled or not  but  in my own thought golovkin prove that he is now the true p4p king, because he fight cleaned without cheated and  thats the nature of real fighters.

Yes, I agree with you that Golovkin is the real winner on their first fight in my opinion. However, the judges sees otherwise. That's why a second fight is needed to settle who's really the best p4p. They have their excuses about the Clen thing, and he was already suspended. So we need to wait a little bit longer and hope that they will fight again in the future. On the other hand, GGG is fighting again and I hope he win convincingly and send the message to the division. If I'm not mistaken he is chasing Hopkins record of 20 title defense in the Middle Division. Let's see if he can tie the record and go after Canelo to break it.
10186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Shut Up Bitcoin Haters on: May 05, 2018, 02:40:26 AM
In life there will always be haters because you can't please everyone. As how to shutdown bitcoin haters, No, we really can't and how much we show them that bitcoin's good side they will still hate it to the bone. Specially old traditional investors such as Warren Buffett or those who have been scam before in the name of crypto. So its just better to keep quite and let Bitcoin ecosystem do its thing. Right now the price keeps going up, so its a slap on the face for those bitcoin haters. hahhaha
10187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez tested positive on a banned substance on: May 04, 2018, 10:47:02 PM
Its final: NSAC has suspended Canelo Alvarez for 6 months.

Quote
The Nevada State Athletic Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to extend Canelo Alvarez’s temporary suspension to six months at its monthly meeting in Las Vegas.

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-alvarez-suspended-six-months-failing-ped-tests--127289

So most likely the rematch with Golovkin will happen around September. Golovkin though will still push for the supposedly schedule fight on May 5 against Vanes Martirosyan.

OK. So we are almost there. GGG vs Vanes this "Cinco De Mayo"

Who you got?

The favorite here is GGG and its just a question on what round should he KO or TKO Vanes. GGG looks solid again while Vanes weigh in below at 159.6 lbs. And Vanes was out of action for about 2 years so I wouldn't be surprised if we gonna see some ring rust and GGG taking advantage of it.
10188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New bitcoin exchanges from Philippines - CX on: May 04, 2018, 10:40:19 PM
This is great new for people in Philippines. It allows for a more convenient way to convert bitcoin and other cryptos into fiat money and vice versa. The website seems quite legit and has a great UI which I will suggest to my filipino friends. I've noticed that a lot of the countries that need access to cryptocurrencies the most are actually the ones that have the least access to it. Hopefully this website starts a trend that changes that.

It is being manage by coins.ph so definitely its very legit as far as Filipino community is concern because coins.ph is the most popular trading exchanges in the country.

Yeah, I really do hope that it will gather enough audience not only by the Filipino traders, but globally. I haven't try it though, but I know they have been doing some beta earlier. Excited to get my hands on it and of course, bring home the profit baby!!!
10189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: May 04, 2018, 10:20:18 PM
I wouldn’t keep because I wasn’t was gamblers and according to me for you the gamblers should be immediately stopped from now before all too late, because if we didn’t stop surely we would lose everything we have because gambled

That is for sure, gambling is not a very good choice to make just to earn money because what is happening every time is the opposite(we are losing money), so continuing to gamble is a very very dangerous decision to make. For e continuing means to lose all the money you have in just a snap.
In our general life, once we lost from something, we try to avoid that thing. We really don’t want to go even near that particular thing. But why in the case of gambling, we don’t use our mind? Why we become so stupid to start believing in everything so instantly. Things aren’t quite good in this regard. We must quit that element in our life that becomes the source of wastage of our money.

because we are thinking that we can get instant money from gambling by winning many games but unfortunately, what we think is not the same as the reality. we believe that we can try to play gambling games to win the money and we only need to use small money but we have a chance to win a big money and this is why many of us still continue to playing gambling. but if we can realize that we cannot always get winning in the gambling games, then we should stop the games and don't use our time for chasing the money in gambling games.

Of course, as gamblers, we always think that we are going to win and win big. But 90%, its not the case because we all know that there's this element of luck which not be always present to us everyday.

However, even though we realized that we are not going to win, we still take the risk because our judgement are clouded specially in you are experiencing losing streak. So its really hard to quit this habit and you will still to continue despite you already losing big amount.
10190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC moon again? Yes. on: May 04, 2018, 10:00:19 PM
Do you think that in the next two months the price of bitcoin will gain a new record compared to 2017? What can be the reason for such a rapid growth rate? Entering the market of institutional investors?

Next 2 months? We are lucky if the price is above $10K mark that time, so I don't think that we can touch or even book all-time-high because investors are just coming back and pouring their cash again.

We need to have something that will really push the price to go to $20K, but I don't see anything in the future that will contribute, maybe LN who knows but the platform is still on the Beta Phase as far as I know.
10191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bearish trend is over on: May 04, 2018, 09:43:55 PM
Nope, if this month close price of bitcoin is not over 10,000$ (FMO). Marketcap still in recover situation, and maybe this is a bull trap to attractive more new investor after a long time dowtrend.

NO. This is not a bull trap. Bitcoin has already consolidated and we are now marching towards another bullrun specially once we hit $10K in the net coming days. If this is a bull trap the price could have gone down when we breach $9K, however, there just minor dip along the way and then the price goes up above $9500. So I do think that the bearish trend is over, but the market still needs a lot of money to get to $10K and above.
10192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: May 04, 2018, 05:17:19 PM
Never felt that feeling that I'm shy so I didn't play at all. There's one situation that I don't play because I don't have something to gamble. The shyness of being a loser is what I'm even thinking and I don't let others to push myself to gamble. I don't want others to know that I lost and how much I've gone in gambling that is the situation that I'm trying to avoid.

People who gamble might only would shy if they found somebody else of their relatives or friends seen them in the casino and they get caught. As may be world would know that he does not gamble but being caught is an awkward position and it is a bad feeling as well.
They won’t shy at that moment rather feel ashamed of themselves at most. That is also pointless because there is no need to feel guilty in front of some relative who himself is in casino. Definitely, his presence means he wants to gamble too. What else could be the reason for going to such a place? It is not any shopping mall or café. Besides, I think a person should not do any such act that would force him to feel sorry.
Yes. Anyone who is even shy for being in a casino is actually not serious. What is there to be shy about in the first place? The fact that such a person is gambling and does not want to be perceived as a gambler by fellow gamblers or the fact that he is not cool with himself gambling. If these are all the case, then why would such a person be found in a casino or be gambling as first. It is just height of non-seriousness as far as I am concerned.

That was a bit bold and true. Anyone who is in casino does not need to give attention to other casino players because all belong to same league in this concern. All are there to gamble. No one can judge the other person on any grounds. Besides, if a person is afraid of being caught doing any activity that may become a reason for feeling guilty, he should not even think about it.

Yes, I understand that you don't need to give attention to other casino player, but take for instance baccarat games, most of the time all sitting players talks to each other. Or even in a poker game, sometimes you need to strike a conversation. So its ok to be shy at the beginning because maybe its your first time or you are not that comfortable. But as soon as you relax and get the feel of the people around your self confidence shoots off the chart and you go and talk to other players as well.
10193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in BTC on: May 04, 2018, 04:57:11 PM
No, I don't think investing in bitcoin is dangerous. However it could be dangerous in terms of your money because it is not all the time your investment is profiting. So that I could say it would be dangerous to invest in a huge lump sum amount of money.

Yes. that is the risk that you to have to take and understand. How many newbies FOMO during the December peak? A lot. And how many got burned when the price plummeted in the last 3 months?

So its really dangerous if you don't know how and why are you investing on it in the first place. Don't think that its a quick rich scheme because its not, otherwise if you have that kind of mindset, then you will end up losing more.
10194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting on: May 02, 2018, 11:58:09 PM
Sports betting has the higher chance of winning like 50/50,so you have to choose one team from two but in other games the winning probability is very less but in that game only we can earn more money in sport betting the rewards are very less but you can win more times here.

Its all the same when it comes to sports betting. Luck does play a role but yes knowledge about teams and how the games are going on does give the gambler an edge. Still those who have inside news are the ones who really manage to make some money from it. Even if the OP might deny this still its not possible to win a big streak like this with only luck (though possible).

Congratulations on the big win though. Hope they use the money for something good. Smiley

Well yeah, everyone can agree that out of all gambling types, sport betting is one that you don't necessarily have to rely solely on luck and knowledge and information will play a big part in whether you'll win or lose. That's why it's attractive to gamblers young and old. Aside from the fact that you get to enjoy the sport you've gambled on

Sportsbetting is also like playing poker, all is not based on pure luck but base on strategies gained through experiences or playing time. The more you play and learned, the more you have chances of winning it.

I don't think that they are similar, because in poker you hold the cards, you strategizes, meaning its all on your hand and you have total control. Unlike sports betting wherein you can rely on the teams that you are putting a bet. So there's still chances that you might lost at the end in sports betting as opposed to poker wherein you put in the line a big chance that you can end up the poker champion, just saying.
10195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Next resistance at 9.7k. What are your thoughts on May movement? on: May 02, 2018, 11:32:31 PM
i have a feeling that some big player (a bear whale) doesn't want to see the price go up yet which is why we keep seeing these huge dumps like what is happening right now where price rises up with a nice buy support but a sudden big dump crushes the rise attempt with a big red candle being the evidence on the charts. you can see price reached $9444 then someone dumped a large amount of bitcoin on it and it came back down to $9200 range.
i wonder how long this is going to last though, because the buy support is still pretty strong.

Interesting perspective. And I also noticed that there are new sets of FUD going around, like USA banning bitcoin and others which coincide with the last dip we saw. Although the price is not yet affected because its above $9200 we might see some resistance at $9400, which we thought that $9700 is. So its gonna be along way to go for us to even get to $10K at least.
10196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 02, 2018, 11:06:42 PM
As usual again, Toronto Raptors didn't make it to the last seconds and unable to maintained their lead. They should have won the game but literally they blew it out. LeBron is in bad shooting but still managed to get a triple double. Cavaliers' bench step up this time and look how good their stat is.

The way Raptors played and if they managed to escape on the Cavaliers, they will having a hard time to Celtics or 76ers. Well not judging their Game 1 performance but they must changed it. The Raptors are now 0-5 to Cavaliers since last year playoffs at the same round.]

Does Steph Curry really injured why he takes a break lol? He really missed playing in the hardcourt after missing lots of games during season. Having a hot hands that night, all I can say is, he is really fully recovered. The deadly Golden State Warriors now becomes more deadly after Curry's return. Kudos for New Orleans Pelicans as they are really giving efforts to keep up with the Warriors. Going now to their home and let's see if they can steal a win on the Warriors.

I don't think cavaliers can do a fair game after there game with the pacers team, it was something fishy, maybe if those mistakes were cleared cavaliers will be having there early vacation. If lebron is not in line with the team used to play inside the court then for sure cavaliers will just be easily to defeat.

Move on mate. Watching NBA is not good for your health if that is your way of thinking.

Correct, and maybe they are just to tense and pressure losing to the Cavs again that's why they really try very hard but again came in short so again the pressure is on them to shake the cobwebs and at least win against the Cavs. I see that if Cavs steals another game, the morale of the team and its easy to see that they won't get Cavs again  this year. Hope they get their acts together so that the series will be a very exciting.

Damn mate, you made my day with your second comment (bolded). hahahahha.
10197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: May 02, 2018, 10:50:04 PM
For me bitcoin is number 1 because  of the highest   price of all coins market and the popularity of bitcoin.

Obviously this will be the main reason why bitcoin is considered number 1 although there's a lot of loopholes (scaling issues, transactions fee's). And that is because its turns out to be a investment platform for most of us, specially investors who have tons of money. But I do hope that one day bitcoin will became the number 1 in terms of payment method as well, rivalling Paypal or even Western Union, because that's what Satoshi wanted in the first place, P2P.
10198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Next resistance at 9.7k. What are your thoughts on May movement? on: April 29, 2018, 11:34:46 PM
Thats odd number you have got up there. Why is it 9.7K? and not 10K?

This is exactly my thoughts are. $10K should be the next mental barrier and if we can broke it then $11K-$12K is so easy  to breach as well.

I am not too techie so just asking if there is any way to calculate the resistance level for the same. I am pretty sure that fundamentals says that BTC will keep rising no matter what happens in the next update. The coin has shown us potential before and its always been on one goal, just to rise. I dont think clearing up the 9.7K level would be that difficult for the bitcoin. So I am sure this will happen before the end of next week. Its breaking bad!!

Sometimes you don't need to be technical. But if you have experienced and see how bitcoin grows in the last couple of years, I'm sure your common sense will tell you where the "possible" resistance and consolidation might occur.
10199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 29, 2018, 10:39:56 PM
Damn, this Nadal is outstanding. He hasn't lost any set since his return. Amazing!
He is playing Barcelona final today against Tsitsipas. I think he will resume his amazing streak.

I have been watching Tsitsipas in few matches in Barcelona and I must say he impressed me with the level of play he managed throughout this tournament. This is first time I have seen him play and he has strong game, good serve with solid ground strokes.

Nadal will win this one for sure but I am hoping we will have a match. i played contra handicap on Tsitsipas (+7,5) @1.65.

Nadal won first set easily and he is going great in second as well, leading 3:0. It seems he will it prety easily.
However, Tsitsipas' time is yet to come. I am sure we will be seeing him at the end of tournaments much in upcoming years.

Well he demolished the youngster  and sending the message. Damn it was Nadal's 11th in Barcelona Open and he is really unstoppable now. As for Tsitsipas, well he has a lot to learn but I'm sure meeting Nadal in the finals is already a "win" for him. I think this kid will win a trophy in the future, he is really talented but he needs more experience. Give him 2-5 years and I'm sure that he can stand with the big boys.
10200  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin is a rat poison? on: April 29, 2018, 10:07:32 PM
I do not believe bitcoin is a rat poison. I don't know, how bitcoin is a rat poison. Dear guys, Please explain....

I mean don't take it literally. Maybe what the OP means is that bitcoin can make or break a certain people because its involves money. We investment our money on the market, and you will hear people putting it everything and if something goes wrong and you end up with nothing, it will "psychologically" kill you with depression and mental breakdown because of your lost.
