Msi z270a pro uefi w10 gen1 or gen2 or gen3 and 4g enable. After boot black screen/ restart system.
Was uefi enabled when you installed Windows 10? I made a post previous in this thread where I clearly laid out how to get this board setup w 8 GPU's for dual mining. If you follow the process I did to a T - it will work. Deviate from it, and spend days of frustration. LOL, I know - it was 2 weeks of pure hell. As a side note, In the end, I ended up burning the board due to a short. I would never buy another one TBH.

I'm sure that they probably do get some form of compensation for advertising the ICO's. That said, does that really matter? When it comes to ICO's, you should be doing the legwork/research prior to investing. Meaning from multiple sources - Reddit has been good for me. If nothing else, its probably fair to say it is unbiased. I personally use https://www.icoalert.com/ to see upcoming ICO's, hotlink to whitepapers/website, then I start my research. As a side note - I did not look at the website you linked. Are there any ICOs worth looking at? I should stress that there are a lot of people more knowledgeable than I in this field, but I read a lot, especially when it comes to parting with my money, LOL.

Well, my knowledge is limited, but I can share what I got into.
I purchased Obsidian, because I like their team, and they already have a working app. It is still in its ICO, and I have been buying up SIA Coin. They too have a working hosting platform in place. In respect to SIA, I both mine it, and have been buying it.

If you're in the slack, send a private message to 'alan'. Otherwise, email info@obsidianplatform.com with the address you sent from and the txid of the transaction. You will receive an email confirming your transaction. i did that 2 weeks ago,i got the acknowledgement email..i just want to see my odn balance, just wondering how long does it take for them to fix it. I got my ODN balance very quickly, even though i was one of the first contributors. You just have to direct message someone from the team in the slack channel and it should work out. You still got your ODN but i understand its frustrating that they arent showing up on the website. I too was an early contributor, and I quickly got my email confirmation that it had been added to my wallet. The second time I did it, there was no need to email them, and it was literally added to my balance within a few minutes >5 mins. If you did it a few weeks back, and got the confirmation email, and still don't see the balance, I too would be concerned and would reach out to them directly via email or slack channel. I'm sure they'll fix it, they seem pretty on top of things. On another note, I just watched their video demo of their Chat program, and it looks pretty impressive.

Just did another contribution to this project and I was super impressed to see the balance updated within a few minutes. Is that possible?

Solved the issue. here is what i did; Go to BIOS and update the bios to 1.D version then go to Settings>Advanced>PCI subsystem Setting Above 4G Decoding set to Enabled But very important: I was using Kabylake CPU (Pentium G4560) Because of that i failed. Then i tried Skylake series CPU i3 6500 and boom. i mined with 7 GPUs. If you use Kabylake u can mine only with 4 GPUs I was in trouble because of that. That's utter nonsense. I hate to say it that way but the way you state it is like scripture. I have a farm running on something you say isn't possible. Lol, I run kabbylake only, and msi z170a sli plus. I have 8 of those puppies running 5 gpu each. You may have problems with 6. I tried my one skylake CPU and wanted to get 6 but it won't go for me. I've tried disabling everything, from audio and lan to disabling the com ports. I can't get past a windows error 12 or whatever--the system resource one. Also, I have rigs running 470s 480s 290s and 1070s. Msi z270a/z170a has no problem running 5 gpu regardless of the CPU or generation of card. Yep, totally inaccurate. I had 8 GPU's running this board + Kabylake CPU. It was a pain in the ass, but doable.

Much more clear now. I think, for now, I'll just grab coins.
Is it fair to assume that we will not be able to mine this coin?

I invested some ETH, just curious - What is the advantage of investing enough to get a MasterNode?
Thanks, and please excuse a noob question if it isn't obvious.
A regular wallet of a full node can help you use ODN coin for trades and the pay for messages on the Obsidian Secure Messenger (OSM). They also allow you to earn some money by staking the coins at an 10% yearly interest. The MasterNodes, on the other hand, add a new source of passive income that we called "NetGen" or Net(work) Gen(erated) rewards. You will receive fees for routing and temporarily store the messages between users of the OSM. Ok - I think I get it - basically the purchase I made will give me coins, but by getting the Masternode, it is a second source of income? Because I did not put that much in to cover the cost of the Masternode, but hypothetically wanted one, by purchasing more, at the two purchases combined? Also, do you ALSO get coins when you purchase the Masternode? Thanks!

Built a rig with 2 x 4GB sticks of ram. Due to a mix-up, I needed to use one of those sticks. Yanked one, then fired up the rig and noticed the hashrate had dropped about 1.5Mh/s per card. Dual-mining, and it also dropped on the second coin.
I was under the impression that only 4GB was needed, but maybe that was for 6 cards, I'm using 8 gpus.
Can anyone confirm?

Hey guys!
Just an update. Last night I was able to install an 8th GPU on this board using an M.2 -- PCIE adapter. It has been running solid for 12hrs now. I was not able to get the second M.2 to recognize though.
Does anyone know if anything special needs to be done in order for it to become active?
When you say "running solid" do you mean mining? My install went bad and I had to rebuild Windows 10 as it went into an endless repair loop. I also had a poor quality v1 board board smoke one of my cards and an M.2 slot. I finally got the 8th GPU running, been running 7 stable for few days, and it seemed to be solid in Windows 10 OS, but as soon as I start Claymore, mining single Eth, the whole system is unstable. Claymore throws lots of erros. Did you you have to do anything special to keep it stable when mining? When I say running solid, I mean dual mining - ETH/SIA. It has been no issue. My only issue is that I can't get a 9th running. I run mixed drivers, which is the only thing which I'd consider unique - Further, its a mix of cards (1 x R9 390, 4 x Asus RX580, 1 MSI RX 580, 1 Saphire Pulse RX580, and 1 RX480) Really, there is something w your setup because I can confirm with certainty that it is running.

Running an MSI Z170A M5 Gaming mobo, 8 GPUs, Windows 10 UEFI mode, and I cannot seem to access my BIOS or even see the splash screen- System boots straight to windows, regardless of which card happens to be plugged into my monitor. Am I missing something?

2 issues:
1) Windows can only support 8 of any type of card at one time (8 AMD + 8 nVidia possible)
2) That board can only support max of 8 cards, anyway. The 2nd M.2 is not connected to the PCIe bus. Only the SSD bus.
Thank you! So, I can save myself the hassle of installing EthOS? Like, 100% the second is only on SSD bus? It mentions in the manual an option to connect two PCIE devices to it.

i have the exactly same issue, don't know why. maybe this mobo is too old, i will use asus prime z270A next time.
Same board? Also the 2nd M.2 doesn't work, but the 1st one works? Wondering if this board just maxes out at 8 GPU

May be just bad M.2 adapter?
Adapter/riser/card works - tried in the other M.2 spot, and it worked. Seems to be the one M.2 spot - Wondering if I should be enabling it in BIOS, or something.

Hi guys,
Noob question, but generally speaking - how long does it take for a transfer to take from a wallet to Poloniex. Also, once I convert ETH to Bitcoin, then sell, any idea how long it takes to then get the cash out? I assume that Bank transfer is the only option?

Hey guys!
I hope someone can help. I'm running an MSI z170A M5 Motherboard. I have the most recent BIOS installed, running 8 GPU's now 7 via PCIE + 1 via M.2 to PCIE adapter. I'm not having any luck getting a 9th via the second M.2 -- PCIE. I'm wondering if I'm fighting a lost cause here? Has anyone had any success with this setup? Running Windows 10, have verified that the adapter, riser, and card are working. Just not when plugged into the second M.2 slot.
Any help would be great, thanks!
