Tell me one defender except from Arsenal defenders that you are would be willing to bet that he outscores Trippier in next 5 GW with 8 points difference. I don't think that he exists. City is always rotating, I already have Tsimikas to cover good Liverpool fixtures, Gabriel to cover Arsenal and thinking of getting Saliba as well. Maybe James after Chelsea gets on better run and if he stays fit. And that is always a big if, with James.
I want to get rid of Cash and I have nobody to bring. If I did not have Trippier I would probably go for him actually, at least he gets attacking returns and bonus points.
Well, if you look at it from that angle, fair point. But if you take Walker for example instead, you've got an extra 1,5 mil or so to invest in the team. Maybe Walker doesn't outscore by himself, but him and a better midfielder probably outscore Trippier and a weaker midfielder. I would not go for Trippier for sure at this point. I do think he was a great pick so far, he did enough for the cost, but Newcastle might be getting into a really rough period. I'll give you one more angle to look at it. He outscored all players in the game with his price or below except Mbuemo. I for one would love to be able to play with 8 midfielders but it isn't possible. And while I can get value in mid even for 5.2M with player like Palmer, I can't get value in defense no matter how much I pay for it. If I did not have him and I was on wild card, he would be among first players in no matter current problems at Newcastle. You can't look at Trippier just as expensive defender, he is scoring more than enough to be looked at across all positions, and then he is one of the cheapest players available and what is most important, he isn't a mid so you can use those precious spots on other players. |

Turkey played really very badly in the first half. I don't think at all that we can win this match if we don't change some things at halftime.
A question for you, why didn't Turkey loose this game? You had perfect opportunity to let Croatia take first spot and jump into second pot. Third pot look much stronger than second one and that loss would virtually guarantee you one easier opponent on EURO.

I'm finally wildcarding after the LFC-City game, my team is generally okayish but my defence is in shambles. Looking forward to freshening it up.

Maddison was another one but his injury stopped that unfortunately. Getting him off for a few GWs isn't a horrible idea given the club's present circumstances and the amount of money he sit on. With Burns and Shar out for a long period, he'll be playing a much deeper role. If he's getting anything out of those fixtures, it's a slew of yellow cards and getting into heated argument with home fans like last time. Steve gave a small warning about this topic on the previous week. One needs to be more careful from now on while using free bets.
I think that Sportsbet free bets always had short expiration date, so this is nothing new, but someone can correct me if I am wrong. I had very good tickets last few days but Hungary against Bulgaria and one more team messed up my chances of winning something. International matches are one of my weak points  It is different if you have to use the free bet until expiration date or if it has to settle by then. I don't think it actually has to settle even if it was written that way. Never checked it personally but if somebody is interested they can always ask live support, they have actually gotten much better from the beginnings and helped me with several issues recently without problems. |

Better now than couple of weeks later. Really disappointed with all those people, it shouldn't be that hard to let us know you are not interested in playing and we could have had one Div 3 with engaged players instead of 2. Div 3B will be very strange this season. Lot's of games will be 3:0 by default and participants will loose a lot of BSFL experience this season. On the other hand they have a very easy shot at promotion to Div 2 next season which should compensate at least a bit. |

More than 22 ACL injuries have occurred this season; there is no way you can blame the coaches and not FIFA for arranging these fixtures and increasing game minutes.
I am blaming FIFA, they are the main problem. And to make it worse they are making both EURO and WC even bigger and less appealing. It is all about the money and we will enter into place when football will start loosing its audience. Few years ago I was still watching every CL game, every big derby in Spain or Italy, every game on every EURO or WC. Now there is so much football that I am basically watching just Premier League, and some big matches in CL. Other leagues are ignored and it never crosses my mind to watch some stupid national team game, unless it is again a duel between top teams, Croatia or I have a shitload of money on it. |

In some cases it's perfectly logical. Look at what happened to Gavi yesterday - ACL tear in a fully irrelevant game vs Georgia. Odegaard did not play as well for Norway - in some countries the fans even understand these choices. In Croatia everybody would be fuming - all our players constantly play for the national team and the pressure to perform is high, whereas Norway has no such atmosphere/expectation in the national team. If I was a manager at the club, I'd do all in my power to keep important players from playing in unimportant qualifiers - and 80% of these are really unimportant. Gavi, at the age of 19, has a greater international legacy and is more patriotic to his country than Halaand; it's a greater honour to get fucked up playing for your motherland than it is to play for your club side. Gavi will be remembered for giving his all for the Spain jersey. Mikel OBi is Nigeria's most decorated player today after sacrificing his Chelsea career for the country. No international game is unimportant in Africa; every player wants to play. It is logical that some players are calculating. Haaland is well aware that his trophies and accomplishments will come from club football. His maximum with Norway is to maybe pass a group at some competition. Gavi on the other hand know that some silverware could well come from national team. Players should be always available I agree but national team selectors should also be aware how many minutes their players have in them and then rest them up in unimportant matches. If it is late stages of World Cup of course you play them but if it is a friendly or qualifier game against some week opponent, give a rest to tired ones. Spain could have won that last game with their 4th or 5th choice player on every position. |

Overall, the system of eliminating players that misses submitting answers 3 times is good to me. Even that, I’m at risk of getting disqualified but it’s only fair. I have one question, does the offenses goes away after playing the next rounds?
It is 3 offenses per season. Meaning you must submit all the rounds until season ends or you are out. Please do so, really don't want to go trough all the games and change them manually once again
Genaral remark for all late submitters. Also if you guys get disqualified, I am not sure if you are gonna be alowed to play in the future. Obviously you are not really interested in our competition and we prefer to have less players but those that enjoy coming here to thread every week and competing with the rest of the gang. Did not discuss this with my colleague crypofrka yet but I am leaning towards allowing offenders to play but making tham pay some sort of disqualification fee, maybe in the same amount div 1 players pay. I am quite sure nobody would forgot to post answers if they had to pay 2.5mBTC for the privilege. |

We already had to disqualify 3 players this season for late submissions. There is a couple of more on 2 offenses and just one more will mean disqualification as well. DireWolfM14 & Rikafip will not be replaced, all their games are from now written as 3:0 for their opponents and their negative points removed, just so that table looks nicer. Situation is not good but at least it show that our promotion/relegation system is balanced just right. All the problems are largely contained to Division 3 as we would like it to be. We know this isn't that good for engaged players in div 3 but nothing much we can do about that. use this as extra incentive to climb divisions and get to better leagues with much better rewards Quite possibly we will redesign Div 3 next season with engagement as the main factor. Not sure why I forgot to post here when resuming betting this week but I hit 2 pretty decent underdog bets. No harm, I need a losing season, don't I?  Latvia was my pick in the last round of EURO -- they almost had Turkey by the balls despite playing with ten men. An even harder test awaits tonight but I wonder if Croatia is up for it? That's what you get for going against Croatia, serves you right Croatia was bad in last international slot cause we missed all our first choice attackers, now we got some back and we looked better. Still not good, but Latvia played criminally bad and we could have won that one with bigger margin. |

I couldn’t agree more with you on the case of big and club side important players like that of Haaland not getting involved with national team games when there is nothing or very little at stake, but Haaland might be very due for an injury and it’s evident with the way Guardiola have been managing his minutes very well and making sure he doesn’t play when not necessary but for a player with an injury history, fatigue and knocks could be a factor of accumulated playing regardless of the how long they sit out of matches.
It seems this wasn’t a far fetched speculation as current reports has it that, E. Haaland has got an ankle injury from an in-house training. It’s exaggerated to be one that could be career threatening or season long. I checked what stats the FPL has placed on him and his got 75% chance of playing. This left me with mixed feelings in what could be the actual case here. Though I don’t have him on my team as I transferred him out over the last 2 GWs, I had thoughts of a possible return but, that’s not until his injury news is clear but then, what’s the case with him. Anyone with some legit update on E. Haaland’e injury status? I read one report just now and there is no exact news but things that Norway coach said sound promising. He said something in line that it isn't serious and that if that was important game he would maybe be able to play it to the end. Seems like minor ankle sprain, should be back for Liverpool but if he is not than definitely soon after that. He had one unfortunate sentence which is probably translated wrong and said something like "it isn't career threatening" but those words, even when used in such context imply it was much more serious stuff than it actually was. Still plenty of time to get news before the match, and that match is early kick off so we will also have leaked line ups. Just be patient and wait. |

For those that do not know, a big part of the SB team is Australian - and they adore cricket. It's now 3 goals for Lukaku within 30 minutes, that's a settled one already, I just feel awful for not having Lukaku to score, there is no point beating a dead horse! It's time for my team to properly regroup and put this round behind them. Good game J! well deserved 3 points for you  It is now already 4 goals for Belgium and all 4 for Lukaku, this is getting a bit ridiculous Tennis also looking like another Djoković master class, Sinner had no chances so far to do anything. Sinner is in the form of his life but if Djokovic advances tonight then Sinner party is over ! No way Djokovic is losing to him back to back within few days. Big part of Djoković wins comes from mental state of things. Players just don't believe they can win against him even on his bad day since he came back so many times and turned things around. This should be a great match and Sinner now believes he can take him for sure. Then don't forget this is played on Sinner home turf, and Djoković is usually not that popular with fans (compered to other top players) so we will have hole venue rooting for Sinner. I actually have a very small bet on Sinner taking the title from before tournament even began. He was the player in form but I decided that picking him to progress from group will be enough of differential in BSFL and that is better for me to take Djoković for winner here since most of other players will do it like that. |
