these errors are from Exchange and they are all managed by CAT.
I think your error log is bigger than the line you quote.

Sampey is there a way to resume your cumulative gains for each Exchange/market after we restart C.A.T ?
Currently, when we save our order and parameters and then restart, we loose our cumulative gains.
It would be great to be able to continue these cumulative stats after restoring the open orders etc

Actually no way. You must export your gains from CAT to csv format or use the GAIN.TXT files and create your own personal gain files. |

La fork deve essere fatta bene. Se al blocco X Forki allora se io invio con client A solo la rete A deve vedere la mia transazione, idem per la B.
Ma purtroppo si rimarrà sulla stessa porta, quindi all'interno dello stesso servizio bisognerà skippare le TX dell'altra catena.

Mah, secondo me guardi la cosa solo dal punto di vista dello speculatore; il danno d'immagine secondo me sarebbe molto più grande del momentaneo guadagno per lo splittamento. Guadagno? Non è detto che il valore delle due coin sommate, POST split, sia maggiore del valore di un solo bitcoin ANTE split... Non all'inizio magari, ma sicuramente al futuro, perchè sia lato core che lato BU/altro verranno sviluppati i layer 2. Poi arriveranno gli halving..... In tutti i casi pensa ad un merchant serio che si trova costretto a scegliere quale chain usare... all'improvviso imezzamento della già esigua base d'utenti che questo mezzo di pagamento riesce a raggiungere.
Un merchant non deve per forza scegliere. Se sceglie è perchè lo fa consapevolmente. Già oggi molti siti accettano varia monete. Giusto ieri mi sono accordo che Spectrocoin accetta Dash per ricaricare la carta. Quindi non vedo problemi ad accettare BTC e BU. Sarei molto più contento se il BTC rimanesse integro (e possibilmente al suo maggior grado di decentralizzazione). Anche io, ma questa integrità rappresenta uno stallo che non credo ci si possa permettere. |

SE BU e BTC sono il risultato di 2 filosofie diverse che non sono più conciliabili sotto la stessa catena è giusto che ognuna delle 2 prenda la sua strada.
Questo invece è proprio l'unico scenario che temo e che mi auguro di cuore NON si realizzi. In altri termini spero che il fork parta solo se si è ragionevolmente sicuri di ammazzare il vecchio ramo. Come fai ad ammazzare il vecchio ramo quando : - Gli exchange traerebbero un profitto enorme e gratuito dallo scambio BTC/BTU - Ci sono dei miner che venderebbero la propria madre piuttosto che tornare a minare su BTC - La comunità ha una buona percentuale di persone CONVINTE che sia meglio BTC e un'altra che sia meglio BTU. Per me, il massimo ottenibile sarà che uno dei 2 rami valga meno di 1/10 dell'altro. MA vederla SPARIRE la vedo durissima..... E buon per noi comunque, avremo il doppio dei BTC, e mentre uno dei due rami seguirà il suo naturale prezzo avremo comunque ottenuto gratuitamente del valore nell'altro ramo. |

how to run CAT on a remote VPS? remote is unfeasible because every respond from a input takes too much time and sometimes it freezes the altogether desktop for minutes. thx java -jar CAT.jar is equal to double click on CAT.jar. you need to use javaw -Xmx2048m -Xms256m -jar CAT.jar but in the next CAT version there will be an option to re-run C.A.T. with more RAM |

So the major risk of losses is given by a pong (buy) not closed because the price rise and never drop to the pong level.
In order to minimize that losses there is some parameters that I can adjust?

I still have a 1 pong but buy and sell are both 0

Secondo me l'incertezza attuale ha fatto la fortuna degli altcoin, ma non è una situazione che può durare a lungo. Secondo me neanche Ethereum ha le caratteristiche necessarie a prendere il posto di Bitcoin. Nel lungo termine rimango bullish nei confronti di Bitcoin, e sono pronto a fare short di Ethereum e Dash non appena la situazione sembra risolversi. Già adesso è evidente che BTU non ha abbastanza supporto nella comunità per rimanere in piedi ed acquistare una maggioranza economica, oltre che in hashrate.
Anche perchè Ethereum ha tutt'altro scopo e spero lo raggiunga. Chi lo vede come un rivale è perchè ne osserva l'aspetto speculativo (e su un exchange non puoi vedere altro che quello). Ma Bitcoin si pone lo scopo di essere moneta di scambio Ethereum di essere una piattaforma decentralizzata per Smart Contract. Una bella differenza..... |

Which is the trigger event that tells CAT to create the new ping order? Because the gain phase was completed 14 hours ago.

the fact that Pool value is not 0 (at least one of the 2 pool). The only way to let CAT discard the TRADE PONG is to set a discard option. But i think you have this option se to REUSE 100% of PONG TRADE. |

If I understand correctly the guide a partial order has an independent life.
So completed pong shoud not generate new ping?
Why it is inot happened? It is been several hours since the pong was completed.
Which is the trigger that set a new ping?
Check this image :  Pong Orders -> Trades From Pong -> Gain -> Buy/Sell Pool. All actions are written in the log, so you could find it. If the log show only few lines, you can directly read the log on CATSystem/Exchange/MarketLogs folder. |

In te buy/sell Pool frame I always see 0 even if I click update values.
Is it normal?
usually is normal because CAT use all the available amount in the buy/sell pool. (You should find in the market log a message like "Try to create new PIng From Pool" The UPDATE command is to change the pool value to another you prefer, for example 0.1 BTC if you want to let CAT use 0.1 BTC to create new ping. |
