1021  Economy / Economics / Re: How Capitalism defeated socialism? on: April 22, 2022, 07:08:53 PM
The verdict is in, and contrary to what socialists say, capitalism, with all its warts, is the preferred economic system to bring the masses out of poverty and to make them productive citizens in our country and in countries around the world. Remember this: Capitalism rewards merit, socialism rewards mediocrity. I mean, socialism talking about equality but it is just a beautiful lie , and capitalism is an ugly truth !
I think capitalism is obviously the only way to prosper because capitalism thinking actually matches with the inner instinct of every human. Capitalism was once considered a problem and the reason for that was everyone wasn't given an equal opportunity to mint their way in capitalism, if you are born as a slave you'll be a slave and a son of rich capitalist will always be richer, but sooner with every person trying to make their own fortune these definitions have changed, infact capitalists now themselves make sure to do enough charity in society, it's just about giving equal opportunities, we need government or socialist intervention to give everyone equal opportunities and over that it's your merit, you can't just distribute everything equally.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: April 22, 2022, 06:30:10 PM
What a last over that was, Obviously that was a NO BALL, and it's okay as an umpire to miss that, but keeping that ego of not referring to the third umpire for this is absolute stupidity on the part of Umpire, we saw in the day before yesterday's game as well that the Umpires did go upstairs when they were unable to determine about the height, and when you have the technology you should definitely use it. Even though Rishab Pant was wrong, but that's a very normal reaction from anyone. I remember Dhoni stepped on the field in one such situation a few years back, if someone so calm & Experienced like him can do this, you can't expect Rishab Pant to stay cool.

I don't want to break hearts of Dhoni Fans but he is way way past his prime and not at all a finisher of "Modern Cricket" I'd rather call someone like Russel or Devillers best finishers of Modern cricket.
You won't break many hearts because most of them including me would disagree with your reasoning. I agree that he is way past his prime, but he can still finish games regardless which is a fact that cannot be refuted.

https://www.sportshubnet.com/top-10-best-finishers-in-cricket-history/

https://sportsbrowser.net/best-finishers-in-cricket/

https://playersbio.com/best-finisher/

https://sportsvirsa.com/best-finishers-in-cricket-history/

On average, most sports sites rate MSD as the best finisher followed by ABD. Russell is very, very inconsistent which is why he isn't one of the best finishers.
Haha, All these are Blogs that rely on SEO & fan Following for their bread and butter, why would they ever dare to fight with MSD Fanbase by keeping him on number 2? Also, It's not that any of these blogs have mentioned any statistics or anything, Anyways it's just about opinions, I have personally seen ABD & Russell overturning more matches any day than Dhoni in totality at least if you talk about modern cricket which I count post-2010.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 22, 2022, 06:19:55 PM
I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. Or maybe a slow gradual push up. Maybe in 20 years it will be worth half a mil.

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|

Will btc ever hit a million? Or hundred million?

I kick myself so hard every night going to sleep that I didn't get in earlier. Liek I'll literally have dreams of being in 2013 when I first heard about it and buying some... T_T
I think bitcoin obviously might not grow as exponentially now as it has grown from 2010 or maybe 2013, but is it going to go sideways forever? No, I don't think that too. I think it's just a phase of the whole cycle, and this thing always happens, bitcoin moves sideways then even touches the lowest points but then recollects itself and touches even greater heights, you might not see such big gains from bitcoin now like 50x-60x, but getting doubled tripled or even5x from here in next 3-4 years isn't a very tedious task for bitcoin to be honest, all it requires is huge whale accumulation and then huge adoption as well.
1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of using a cryptorobot on: April 22, 2022, 06:06:54 PM
Hi all  Smiley

Can you advise whether it is advisable to use a trading bot to trade cryptocurrency?
Such bots are sensitive to volatility, which often happens in the cryptocurrency world.
And how will the bot behave in a falling market?
I used one well-known bot for a month and it made 25% of my balance in a month.
And now I want to invest a lot more money in it.

Thanks
What I have seen from my experience is trading bots will always eventually run you into losses, especially the ones which are readymade available in the market, you will see them going well for a long time, and then suddenly you will see all your earnings getting wiped out in just one or two trades, this could be due to some bug in the code because these trading companies don't really put so much effort in getting the code audited from end to end. I have seen big companies making tons of money from cryptobots but they make money because they generally have their own trading bots which they get tailor-made from in-house coders only.
1025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: April 22, 2022, 05:49:53 PM
Before I started cryptocurrency trading I have always hard this friend who is a pro cryptocurrency trader and have always shown me his profits but never told me how long he has been into cryptocurrency trading, but I have known him for crypto trading for close to two years now and in this period I only saw his success stories.

Now I decided to start trading after many persuasion and am beginning to have a rough experience but all the while I have only viewed cryptocurrency trading as an all good venture
Trust me it's a good venture only for that 1% of people who have the right mindset, right knowledge and obviously a bit of luck as well, if your friend is making profits and even if he tells you all his strategy there are still high chances you'll not start making money in markets through trading. It is Mathematics if you do it mechanically but the problem is emotions which humans have which makes it difficult to trade in volatile situations, you will tend to  over do/ overthink whenever you are in the trade, you will have your biases and rigidness, learning trading is a very long and hectic activity, give yourself atleast an year only learning trading to become succesful in trading.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Behind closed doors, EU officials talk about banning Bitcoin" on: April 21, 2022, 06:45:16 PM
You know the drill — waste of energy etc etc nothing new. Just thought I'd post this here because of this specific quote:

Quote
"If Ethereum is able to shift, we could legitimately request the same from BTC. We need to “protect” other crypto coins that are sustainable. Don’t see need to “protect” the bitcoin community."

Just something to laugh at.

Source: https://netzpolitik.org/2022/climate-measures-behind-closed-doors-eu-officials-talk-about-banning-bitcoin/
I don't know how true this news is but obviously this is going to come one day, governments want some excuse or the other to close Cryptos, they know to maintain financial autonomy with them they need to keep a check on completely decentralised Cryptos and there is nothing more decentralised as bitcoin if they would ban it eventually the rest of the market is won't be able to flourish back for a long time too. Otherwise we all know the net carbon footprint of bitcoins isn't much different than that of the fiat and banking system.
1027  Local / India / Re: WazirX Founder & Co-founder have moved out of India? on: April 21, 2022, 06:38:18 PM
All of this looks so justified to be honest, if you will not create a healthy environment for the businesses of a certain community they will obviously find other countries to prosper their businesses, they are two big brains of India but now will use their brains for some other countries, I am sure WazirX isn't going to go anywhere it has huge market potential in India and after a certain time it will have the power and client base to face off with the government as well on regulation relating to crypto.

Looks like many punter losing money because of MI-CSK.

These 2 titans looks past their prime for now and looking ridiculously mismatched in comparison to other franchise but they are kinda producing nice contest tonight, although poor fielding from the CSK played a big part, still good to see tight contest between these minnows  Grin poor cricket

-----------------
Edit

Last ball finish!! Grin

Well done Mumbai 7-0
I half heartedly put my money on Mumbai in this match because I thought it's really impossible to lose 7 matches consecutively for any team be it the worst team of the tournament but here I am now repenting on my choice Cheesy , if Dhoni wouldn't have hit that 4 i would have got 2 points cause I chose narrow win for Mumbai.
Last ball finish!! Grin

Well done Mumbai 7-0
Lol. Why do you keep relying on Mumbai bro? I learnt my lesson when I bet on them in their previous match which is why backing CSK was the right decision overall. Looks like they are trying to break the record which is 11 losses in a row.

Also, MSD saves the day yet again. The crowd completely lost it and I don't blame them. This man single-handedly saved the game for CSK. Best finisher in modern Cricket!
I don't want to break hearts of Dhoni Fans but he is way way past his prime and not at all a finisher of "Modern Cricket" I'd rather call someone like Russel or Devillers best finishers of Modern cricket, 2-3 matches that CSK lost in this season were primarily because of slow batting towards finishing the chase, Dhoni did play really well in this match, and obviously a winning knock after so long his fans have all the rights to go crazy.
1029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 21, 2022, 06:27:59 PM
I know that lower margin and low leverage are also farther away from the liquidation price, so is it okay to set low margin and low leverage first to avoid losing if your strategy doesn't work, and then add if does the price follow your strategy? Is this also your strategy?
I don't think you should calculate in this manner, rather than this way just simply take the trade with a stop loss and take profit, your stop loss should be defined by the maximum amount of money you are willing to lose on the trade, based on this amount you should start and end the trade  if it does not goes into profit, adding up to profitable trades is a good idea but this is successful only in case of a few patterns like in cases of breakout you might not get a chance to enter on a second point because move could be so quick.
1030  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 21, 2022, 05:51:39 PM
Entrepreneurs struggle with their ROI on businesses. Starting a business is not a difficult task but sustaining it becomes challenging. I've seen a numerous companies go bankrupt after good years of sales. Knowing the reason behind is lack of future projections.

According to you, what should be the ROI for newly launched startups?

My views are around 15% per annum but it would take around 6.6 years to earn the initial amount back. Would it be a bad decision?
ROI for startups? Lol. If you would see most of the scaled startups around 80% of them are unprofitable even at the EBITDA level which is Earnings before Interest Depreciation & Amortization. This means they are running on zero ROI in fact most of them are just burning cash. Startups these days are more about increasing your revenues even if that comes at a huge acquisition cost, also some startups don't even work for revenue, they are running and scaling due to their increasing consumer base, so I don't think you should worry a lot about ROI in the initial stages of a startup, Focus on improving customer acquisition, retention & satisfaction and just try to avoid cash-burning, try liquidating your equity a bit by finding investors because that would be the only quick way to scale up your business.

Also, Gujarat keeps delivering twist after twist. I never expected them to get so close to the target after 2/2. Rashid and Miller are turning up the heat. Exciting!
Rashid Khan is batting as if he is possessed and clearing the boundary with ease, he does have a strong forearm and wrist with the ease with which he is clearing the boundary, this is an expectational performance from Rashid Khan in the IPL with his bat but i have seen him bat in other franchise .

Oh Rashid Khan lost his wicket. Gujarat Titans just needs 13 runs in 7 balls and with David Miller still in the crease i think they can win this match.

Edit:
Gujarat Titans won the match with one ball left.
Even though Miller was the main reason why GT clinched this match, but you have to say it was Rashid Khan in Jordan's over which actually changed the course of the match completely, I doubt that even if Miller would have been in place of Khan would he have been able to make 25 runs in that over? Rashid Khan was unbelievable and that also with the burden of captaincy on his shoulder, GT is looking like a marvelous team with each and every player in form, even without Pandya in the middle order they chased such a big target. I think Rashid Khan can try doing Sunil Narine stuff now if he can bat so well occasionally, can add some quick runs to the total initially and save your better batsmen to finish things off while chasing a total.
1032  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain Application in Voting Systems! on: April 17, 2022, 07:04:40 PM
Nice thought. I mean we choose our representatives via voting and very often they betray us. Can we think of a republic where people participate in each decision of government through a blockchain voting system
I've always imagined that one day such a thing would definitely be possible, We currently use the indirect method of electing our leaders and then allow them to make decisions for us, but in near future after a few decades, the information won't be a barrier at all at that point in time everyone would have that mind and ability to correctly participate in every decision of the government through a voting system. Currently the challenge isn't the technology but the lack of awareness and information which might lead to wrong decisions and decisions taken under undue influence. But yes such a thing would be like a miracle a few decades down the line.

But, voting should be anonymous.
Not a single doubt in that, just like bitcoin it can be pseudonymous, you can map a voting has and a public key which voted for you, but database which connects each public key to identity of the users should not be in any domain and should be highly classified.
1033  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 17, 2022, 06:57:55 PM
I have traded and analyzed several charts and I have come to a conclusion that trading with a stop loss is the easiest way to lose money and not a safety net because if your analysis is correct what happens most of the times is markets go for the stop losses which takes you out of the market and price turns to your predicted direction after the stop hunt which many consider as market manipulations.

So is using a stop loss good or bad?

Do we have traders that trade without them, if yes what's your win ratio using this strategy?
Using stop-loss is the only way to actually become a successful trader other than that there is no way to be successful to be very honest, yes you are right that the market may do stop loss hunting and hit your stop loss just to come back up the very next moment, there are two solutions for it, either just consider it as a normal market play and adjust your success ratio accordingly, or put a mental stop loss in your mind instead of a system stop loss, people generally put mental stop loss so that they can sell after the close of the candle to ensure it's not just hunting, but this obviously makes things difficult, as you might just keep the trade emotionally instead of letting it go. Also, chances are you might end up selling at a much lower price waiting for the candle to close. So it's all upto you to choose one way out because eventually, you have to adjust yourself according to the market.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are your coins really safe stored in your wallet? on: April 17, 2022, 06:53:58 PM
I had recently been thinking about how really safe bitcoins or/and other alt coins are when stored in your wallet.
With fiat currency, financial institutions; mostly banks go all out with the notion that their institutions are safe and their vaults are top notch yet they still fall prey to bank robbers who would cart away valuables from the vault.
How safe then are the wallets used in storing coins? And if they could at any time and in any way be compromised hence losing your bitcoins
Security issues with banks are quite different from issues that can take place with crypto wallets, With banks the biggest challenge is physical robbery rest all the problems are secondary while with the wallets the problem is hacking, but the truth is decentralized wallets are pretty difficult to get hacked, eventually if you want to hack out some coins you'll have to goof up the blockchain altogether which is really difficult because the consensus would just never match, the only way to scam people is make a fake wallet or fake copy of some original wallet and broadcast transactions in some other address than what is input by the users, but if you fall prey to this I would call this as your mistake to download wallets from unverified sources.
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia announced a default on foreign obligations!!! on: April 17, 2022, 05:55:07 PM
Russia announced a default on foreign obligations!!!

Today something happened that probably no one expected so quickly. As it turned out, not only the army is fake in Russia, but also the financial system and economy. What is your opinion, gentlemen - why did the "super-power" with the "strongest international weight" deflate so quickly?  Smiley
Interestingly the only default made was that payment was made in Rubles instead of dollars which I don't really think is a very big default for a country that is in such a flux situation, they have sanction imposed from everywhere so naturally their currency is under a great hit at this time, so technically they will have to pay in some alternate way and Paying in your own currency is the easiest way, European agencies would obviously call this as a default in their attempt to disregard the Russian economy but I think one should consider the situation of both the sides before making any opinion.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: All that printed money year 2021 where it is ? on: April 16, 2022, 07:52:45 PM
Its in USDC and USDT.
So even if fiat currency shortages will coming and in real economy we dont have no money left then crypto can do bull run and ATH becouse crypto dont need money anymore from the fed or central banks the money is all ready in the markets big chunk of usd fiat went into USDT and USDC no wonder why the black rock bought USDC becouse he knows the plan.

You mean to say all the money printed during the fiscal deficit was actually collected by Exchanges and kept in treasury to mint USDT or USDC? But how then will there be no money left in the economy? Technically speaking these exchanges also must be holding some bank account only, so if they have put their money in any bank account it is flowing in the economy only and is being used in the economy itself, I don't really think this sort of scenario, and also why would someone buy USDC then? It's price is anyways not going to grow no matter how much bull run comes in.

~snip~
With the start Lucknow Super Giants got right now it is going to be another disappointing performance from Mumbai Indians.

Edit: first wicket down  Cheesy.

Just checked the scorecard and Holy cow it seems oversees bowlers are going nuts for the MI.

Mumbai's bowling attack is so bad that even KL Rahul is also taking them for a ride and smashing em all around the ground and he's the guy who thinks strike rate is overrated and like to play the anchor role all the time.

---------
edit

6-0  Shocked

KL Rahul played so well today, and how ironic it is that when his girlfriend and her father came to see his match, he got out on golden duck  Grin and today made a classic century in the very next match. Anyways MI worries are just not coming to an end, I understand their bowling is weak but 6 consecutive losses is actually a very bad record to have by your side. Two big problems I feel are lack of good lower order and obviously lack of good death bowling alongside Bumrah, both of these things are key deciders in any T20 match you got to have atleast one out of two, after Pollard there is no one who can bat with him till the target which creates unnecessary burden on one side. It's obviously too difficult now for MI to qualify into the playoffs.
1038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losing in trading needs questioning on: April 16, 2022, 07:33:45 PM
I have seen many persons come here to lament of them losing one or two funds in trading which is very obvious and need questioning of how and where they learn there own trading skill from. I have had of a crypto traders that lost all his funds in one day because of market volatility. This happens frequently and I think there is need to recall where the cause could be from.

Yes as a trader, losing one or two trades is part of the game but sometimes losing everything that had been accumulated for weeks, months is very painful and there is need to know whether it's due to ignorance or insufficient trading skill. Acquiring sufficient trading skill is very important in trading which can also help to get good results.

I usually ask myself questions whenever I have consecutive loses in trading, trying to know where I'm getting it wrong. This had helped me many times to get more trading knowledge that had improved my entire trading.
I agree with you, infact I think even winning should be questioned, every trade that you make should definitely be questioned, this is why good traders always recommend trade journals, these journals help you keep record of all types of trades, whether good or bad and most importantly help you record the reasons for the same so that whenever you encounter the same situation once again, you know what to do and what not to do.
1039  Local / India / Re: Govt's Taxation Of Crypto Is Nonsensical & Absurd, Says Indian MP on: April 16, 2022, 07:30:45 PM
Earlier I used to think Subramanian Swamy is a liar and merely a conspiracy theorist, especially after his speeches against Raghuram Rajan and then when he spoke in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput, but to be honest some of his talks do make sense, in this case he absolutely does makes sense, government is trying to ban something that it is not ready to recognise, this is sheer foolishness, no law in India recognises or as a matter of fact define Cryptocurrencies or digital currencies, so very definition of the currencies can be questioned in the court of law, only the IMMAI vs RBI case has given some definition in case law other than that we don't really have anything.
1040  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 16, 2022, 07:23:28 PM
As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice? I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong, but I will try to go through all the responses I can get and highlight the answers that are repeated for consideration.
I believe you can put 20% in SOL, 20% in Near, these are two protocols which are advanced and have good future potentials, 20% go with bitcoin and 10% you can buy some small shitcoins Here and there as per your choice or buzz around the market, the remaining 30% you should keep in USDT to average out any shake off that comes in the market in next few weeks or months or buy it when we see a small correction after the next all time high. this way you'll be hedged against market falling and at the same time riding the market profits as well.
