**Note: For the record, I released the majority of my holdings between $600-$850 but still have some stake in this market.

When did you get in?

Good post, glad I read it
1022  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crunch time! on: October 02, 2014, 03:15:46 PM
Funny that the market takes so long to find a bottom while we here already established long ago, empirically, that the bottom is right above the previous rally's ATH Smiley So I've known since January that we will bottom out above $260, and also known that we'll stop above $32 last April.

How much will be the gap between actual bottom and the previous ATH is an unknown in the equation, determined by how this reverse (also known as "dutch") auction for cheap coins will unroll and how low people with money will allow it to drop.

That's how it's always been so far.... I am willing to bet you this time around we may actually dip below the previous $260 ATH and this will bring REAL fear even to supporters like you.

I agree that $260 should be a hard bottom, but things have been different, bitcoin is unpredictable and sometimes the fear needs to run deep before the next few lucky people can become rich

You turned bearish all of a sudden! I think a drop that low will do bitcoin some serious damage in terms of adoption and will delay things by another year or possibly to the next halving.

anyone has brain can see this coming! you know it too but don't want to admit it
so you decide to bury your head in the sand and continue to fool others to buy your bags!

Anyone with a brain would not take you seriously. Not because you think bitcoin is going to $0 (lol) but you are not convincing at all.. you sound like a dumbass, an annoying one too

I've always been bearish for 2014

But I'm bullish for bitcoin as a whole... I just don't know when the bulls will come out. I doubt it will be this year

1025  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin (BTC/USD) Price Prediction. $4000-$6500 by August/September 2014. on: October 02, 2014, 01:27:29 PM
ANOTHER example of how TA gurus here don't know jack shit about where bitcoin price is headed.... seriously 99% of predictions I've seen here are dead wrong. When will you guys learn that bitcoin is unpredictable?? Your charts, no matter how technical it is will end up meaning nothing
1026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adoption Has Reached a New All Time High on: October 02, 2014, 01:24:44 PM
Sorry.... I only care about ATH in regards to price

^ Im in the process of convincing the management at Tin Drum at Tech Square to accept bitcoin Smiley
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: October 01, 2014, 08:28:22 PM
You don't lose until you sell.

Those who bought at $32 were saying the same thing until we crossed it, those who bought at $266 said the same thing until we crossed it, those who bought at $1200 said the same thing until....

"You don't lose until you sell" is wrong.  It's called unrealized loss.  And actually, this is bad for two reasons:  1) You can't realize a profit, and so your present purchasing power is lower, and 2) You can't even write off the loss on your taxes because it hasn't been realized yet.

Actually this idea of "you don't lose until you sell" was completely true since the birth of bitcoin until all the way to Nov 2013 which was the ATH. Will it still hold true now? Who knows. But if you believe there will be a new ATH in the future, then that statement is still true; it's better to be patient and gain money than to be scared and lose money.

The only problem is, the rise of bitcoin is never guaranteed
1029  Economy / Speculation / Re: A perma-bull's take on this situation on: October 01, 2014, 07:44:04 PM

I think we will see $375 and stay around 4xx for a long time though before anything jumps off again.

That is quite possible scenario

That's what I think too.... and hopefully this "long time" is relative to bitcoin (so months to a few years) and not human life (5+ years)
1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: October 01, 2014, 07:20:14 PM
Well, bitcoin is not an investment. Nor does it claim to be a way to get rich. It is a payment network and nothing more. If we try having an economy based on guessing what the price will be tomorrow then we should expect wild boom and bust cycles. So everything is going as expected.

...
If BTC goes to zero, I am still not ruined.
...
Anyone who can not make this statement is in danger of a financial meltdown.

A house is not an investment.... yet it is an investment.

Any asset that can appreciate in value is an investment
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: October 01, 2014, 06:08:05 PM
Maybe, or maybe not

I still think there's room for more money to enter... $12billion is nothing
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has reached the tipping point on: October 01, 2014, 05:46:14 PM
I think bitcoin will worth 1200$ within 1 month.

You got 3 days or you will be banned for shitty advice
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Georgia Tech and BitPay Announce Bitcoin Integration for Stadium and Student Buz on: October 01, 2014, 05:42:50 PM
Georgia Tech alumni here.... GO TECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1034  Economy / Speculation / Re: 40 Days Until Liftoff... on: October 01, 2014, 05:38:47 PM
I am still holding my bitcoins. I think at the end of the year we will see new all time high (ATH) and much more. I am pretty sure 40 days enough for lift off. Under 400$ is still good opportunity.

I'll bet you 1BTC that we won't see a new ATH by the end of the year.

Sorry guys, but this is the first year where you will not profit from holding BTC... all "patterns" you guys are relying on will be broken, and it started with the bullshit 123 day bubble cycle.

Bitcoin is never predictable. You want to become rich off BTC? Stop acting like you know what will happen, and stop following the charts. Maybe we'll see the next ATH after the 2016 block halving... but to expect one before the end of the year is ludicrous

1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / COINED UP shutting down?? on: September 30, 2014, 07:14:10 PM

1039  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014 is NOT the year of bitcoin, sorry on: September 30, 2014, 06:46:00 PM
BUMP again for the truth.

It's October 2014 tomorrow. This year is 75% over. BTC is currently at ~$380...

I use a bit of logic and some common sense and I always end up being right. People posting highly complex TA and charts are bullshitting you and themselves, they don't know jack and I'd stop listening to them if I were you.

Expecting another huge jump is almost too predictable. I feel like bitcoin has always been unpredictable/

I have a feeling we could see a slow year just like 2012, or even a first time negative trend the whole year (with increased FUD, bad news and more resistance form banks/govs). This could be the year that is unexpected, where more and more people lose confidence and start falling off the train, and only the true believers or delusional hopefuls continue to hold on. But once most people realize bitcoin brings financial control in the hands of individual, it will skyrocket. Most people again will miss the train again.
