1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECCoin (ECC) vs MintCoin (MINT) on: March 30, 2014, 04:41:53 PM
There is no "ECCoin (ECC) vs MIntCoin (MINT)".

I'm not knocking ECC. I'm sure it has redeeming qualities. The market is saturated and new coins are dying off daily. I hope you have not invested a lot into ECC.

Indoor cats have no problem with having their claws removed when its done early on. Of course, this should not be done to a cat that visits the outside world.

As far as training a cat to use a scratching post or anything else other than a shitbox --- good luck. Unless you can devote days of constant attention you will lose.

I really don't think house cats are ever domesticated or very trainable. They do show affection and love when it suits them.  They, simply, tolerate us.

Clipping the claws only makes the cat sharpen them more. You create a bigger problem.

I was really surprised with "The Book Thief". Terrific story.

This is not your typical rabbit mentality coin.  It has adopted the aspect of the turtle.  Slow and steady growth for long term development.  If you are having issues with this coin, rabbit perspective is the reason why.  Its only been a month. Ideally, the price needs to be low and stay that way for some time to come for it to develop properly.  Any energy spent trying to influence the developers to abandon a sound plan for one that doesn't fit, is futile.  They aren't stupid.

This coin was not made to benefit the white man.  It was made to benefit the Lakota.  In that regard, involvement by outsiders is a privilege not an entitlement.  American Indians have a great deal of experience dealing with external manipulation, so badgering them or the development team is only going to strengthen their resolve to continue to ignore this forum and all the ignorant rabbits on it.

This gave me a good chuckle. Thanks.

VaultofSatoshi is another one. Getting verified is arduous but I guess its the same most places.

Poloniex handled their crisis so well. They communicated immediately and told everyone upfront what was going on. They took customer input into account and came up with a plan for repayment. It is working.

Not communicating is killing Vircurex.  No one wants to hear bad news but its no fun to be left hanging on to hope if there is no hope.

Talk to us Vircurex.
1029  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How many LTC do you have frozen in [Vircurex]? Have they been unfrozen yet? on: March 27, 2014, 05:58:12 AM
How many more example of people losing coins by keeping them on an exchange do we need before people wise up?

I get it, newbs will always fall for this unless forewarned. But this is retarded. Obviously anyone who did their research would know that Vircurex was insolvent about a year ago after a supposed "hack" where they lost a lot coins.

My ltc was for sale that is why the hell it was on an exchange. How else you going to trade? 76 ltc btw.
1030  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you want a Dad who parties with you at 3AM? on: March 26, 2014, 09:44:35 PM
I had bit of an attitude towards my Dad in my mid-teens.

When I started working full time out of school and eventually working with him, our relationship changed. We became buddies and had many good times together as any workmates will.

Don't give up on your Dads.
1031  Other / Archival / Re: closed on: March 26, 2014, 09:31:41 PM
Has anyone had a portion of their ltc "unfrozen"?  Not me.

probably nobody had. they had zero ltc. nada.. zip. it all started when someone big withdrew the few ltc left. once someone realized ltc wallet was empty (i tried to withdraw and wasn't working but I thought it was a temp issue like many other times) other people sold them to buy btc and started to withdraw btc, and at that point (march 21st) they stopped btc and ltc altogether. and we all got screwed.

I'm just sick over this. I was all in on ltc. I cannot trade. Losing it finishes me. I'm sure many are in the same situation.

What really upsets me is no answers to email and crappy updates at the site. This tells me there is no hope.

Mintcoin is a class act.

Installed the linux wallet last night and I could not be more pleased with the look and features. Transactions are quick.

Mint has everything going for it to keep rising to the top.

1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Vircurex trading prices more than any other excgange ? on: March 25, 2014, 05:32:24 AM
I would not say they are back to normal. They left my little bit of btc alone but they have " Frozen "  all of my litecoin.  I could have lived with half but every gawd dammed one of them is bullsh*t.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Vircurex trading prices more than any other excgange ? on: March 25, 2014, 01:39:08 AM
Crappy old coins selling high. Ltc was down to .019. Vtc was up to .048.

They just went down so I'm assuming they are confiscating funds and setting up user's allowances. Hope it works out. It has been a decent place to trade.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My coins got stolen on: March 24, 2014, 04:40:19 PM
2FA is a must. Google Authenticator is ok. SMS is the BEST.

Even Gmail offers SMS verification for free so why not use it? I'm pretty sure you can receive/send sms on most cell phones, android, ios devices. Many free apps for doing such. Textplus comes to mind.

Blockchain.info, VaultofSatoshi, Cryptsy are three services I know that offer SMS.

Perhaps others will post email services and exchanges with SMS verification.

GRC has a growing following.  We are working hard to get grc on Mintpal. Vote GRC.

1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the Most UnderValued Coin And Why, Please Explain I have 2 btc to invest! on: March 22, 2014, 10:36:17 PM
Everything is scarey right now. LTC is my choice. Investing 2 btc in anything else is just foolhardy.
