1021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble closer than you think? on: January 10, 2018, 11:45:59 PM
Same old song. bla, bla, bla . tulip mania ...Why this guy (and others) cannot search why and how tulip mania was ended.

Maybe it makes sense, we can not compare both because tulips were used just for "collection" and then to re-sell to other people.

but now it is different, bitcoins, and all the other cryptocurrencies are being used to be used as a payment processor, not just for collecting them and having them in there forever.

This is what all those people need to understand, cryptos are here to stay.

A few centuries ago, a lot of people would tell you that paper money was a scam because they were always using gold or silver to make transactions.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Nano S or Trezor? on: January 10, 2018, 11:37:26 PM
Nano s is the most reliable and better hardware wallet I would recommend to use nano s. The price is only$70 which is very cheap for what it does.

Yes of course, i have a ledger and a trezor, both are good, but in my opinion, the ledger nano is much more cheap, and it works pretty well too, maybe a little bit more than the trezor.

I dont like the trezor because it is veryyy fragile, it can easily get broken if it falls from your desktop, and i need to say that ledger is much more handsome, it has a "man" style that makes it looks more rude.

But i do not know, they both are doing exactly the same thing, it all depends on you.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die if this is not sorted out on: January 10, 2018, 11:29:19 PM
Bitcoin and other crypto coins will die a slow death if they do not sort out the high transaction fees and the stuffed up slow arsed networks. People will just get fed up with it in the end  Angry

I think that it will happen if dumb people like you keep using bitcoin for a while. Bitcoin is not for everyone in here, if you do not know why the fees are so high, then you deserve to use crappy coins of less than 1 satoshi each.

The fees are high because of the network congestion, and it everything goes good during the next few months or weeks, the lightning network is going to get approved by the masses.

And it would mean that the fees are drastically going to be zero.

1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO Prices Too High on: January 09, 2018, 07:55:33 PM
Is it just me or do you also see that ICO prices are starting to get ridiculously high (considering most of them don't even have a working product).

Wait.. ico prices? They set their own price, why are you really complaining about that?

There is an ICO offering their tokens for aproximately $2,40 each one of them, but the total supply of that one is aproximately 20 million to 50 million tokens if i am not wrong (Sether)

The price depends on the supply, that is why you are always seeing tokens with a value of $0,001 and a total supply of more than 10000000000000 of tokens (maybe more)
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxation Question for US citizens: Need your opinion on: January 09, 2018, 07:45:17 PM
Let say Person XYZ trades Alt coins to increase the number of BITCOINS. However, Person XYZ does not sell those bitcoins. Are those bitcoins taxable as income for fair market value? Or should the person be taxed after they convert to fiat?

You only need to pay taxes for all those bitcoins that you are going to withdraw to your bank account..

I went to the united states a few months ago, and i have been in there for more than a whole month (it happened on October to November of 2017)

But no, i preferred to withdraw my bitcoins by p2p with a guy that was a friend of mine, it went pretty smooth and you do not need to pay taxes for that.

60% of the people who are using bitcoins are doing the same in there.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS Coins on: January 09, 2018, 07:34:53 PM
Neo: it gives you Gas. Ark: you vote from within your wallet for a delegate and then get a slice of their pie.

That is probably one of the most relevant PoS coins, but there are a few others who are very important too.

NAVcoin was giving you around 2% a year (that is crap, yes, i know that) But it has that PoS functionality. If i am not wrong, PoSCoin is giving you a little bit of return per month if you hold those altcoins on your mew.

There are a lot of them, but there isn't an updated list if that is what you are looking for.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Harvard Professors Predict Bitcoin Collapse Due to Government Regulation on: January 09, 2018, 06:54:29 PM
How govts would do that? Will police visit every home across the world searching for mining software and check every USB stick and pice of paper after cold wallets Smiley? How they are planning to deal with decentralized exchanges?

Easy, they are "proffesors" "politicians" and they think that they can manipulate as much as they can, in fact, they can just start a new law and fuck everybody who is using bitcoin, but it wont stop anything, honestly.

If they stop bitcoin, there is going to be another group of people who will start using it again, with proxies, tor, socks, there isn't any way in that they can really stop it.

And bitcoin ends.. god, there are going to be thousands of new coins
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price drops because Korean exchange removed by CMC on: January 09, 2018, 06:40:52 PM
I am afraid that this is not the first and certainly not the last time when South Korea will give bitcoin enthusiasts and holders a headache.

The real problem is that we are never going to know why the Korean government want to rip-off bitcoin. We dont know why the fuck they have a huge war against it.

First, they tried to ban it, then they tried to make bitcoin an ilegal thing. Then they prohibited all their people to invest on ICOs.

And now they are doing this? What the fuck.

And a lot of people sold their bitcoins because the price dropped a lot (acording to cmc)
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My 2018 portfolio on: January 09, 2018, 06:26:08 PM
Not bad at all.  ;)If you wanted to add some to the other good bags, try to get your SC, XLM and OMG bags bigger. They are your best choices.  Smiley

My portfolio this year is this:

30% ELIXIR, 20% SNOVO, 25% GEMS (I will diversify it later because the ICO has not been announced yet) and the other twenty five percent, is going to be distributed between Bitcoin, ethereum, and Litecoin.

This has already given me more than 40% of profit (the ones who more increased were Snovo and Elixir)

Those coins are going to have a very good development this year, just take a look over their ann threads, they have been improving a lot.. I dont know, i have just started to invest more in those tiny altcoins that are under the radar right now (rank 200 - 300 of coinmarketcap)
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SPECTIV: PRE-ICO LIVE (60% BONUS) VIRTUAL REALITY + DECENTRALIZED ADS on: January 05, 2018, 11:59:32 PM
I think the main  idea of spectiv is just great. I would really love to use it. But i think that there is some problems with organisation, or in the structure of campaign. They need to improve some points.

Are you dumb? The ICO has already ended more than a week ago, and we did not even heard anything from the founders.

There are no tweet's, no facebook post's, nothing.

They are ghosts, they raised 10 million dollars and they did what they wanted to do.

I invested $1000 in here, i know that it is not a huge amount of money, but i am going to receive those tokens in 25 days from now, and i bought them at the beggining of december.

stop shit posting
1031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Christmas effect as Thanksgiving effect? on: December 24, 2017, 11:51:18 PM
But this is not the problem of the thanksgiving, a lot of people invested a lot of money after the thanksgiving day.

And the guy that you quoted in there is right, the thanksgiving is only being celebrated on the United States, while christmas is GLOBALLY.

It means that the population that might be able to cashout people is globally... We are seeing that the price of almost all the coins are going down becuase most people is withdrawing money, but this is just the opposite of what happened on the thanksgiving day.

From earlier i said that christmas and new year will give bad effect bitcoin and other.
Most of altcoin getting lower in value since they move the money or just stop trading for a while. Most of them sell their coins.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice regarding current portfolio and its expansion ($3000) on: December 24, 2017, 11:33:30 PM
First of all, let me tell you that you are kinda late to the party to join Ripple, no offense, but this coin was 4 times more cheaper just five days ago, why do you want to invest now? it is a huge risk.

0xproject too, it was $0,22 during the last wednesday, now it is upto $0,66 each (and it dropped a 20% today)

Waves is a good coin too, only that this las price increased that it had was purely created based on speculation and hype.

If you want to join a good project, start investing on Monero right now, it dropped a little bit, maybe you can make some profit once that it recovers.

Now, I am looking at buying more (approx. $600) I would love to get XRP, but it's so expensive now in comparison to two weeks ago.  I am also interested in the wonderful ADA project, 0x project and Waves.
1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Dip: The Christmas Gift? on: December 24, 2017, 11:09:52 PM
Sure that this is like a brand new christmas gift for all of us, but who knows? the price is pretty low right now, i think that we all were expecting to see the price much more higher than what it is right now.

Anyway, it is always good to be positive about what is going to happen next, a lot of people could think that this is a "nice" opportunity to buy at a cheaper price, but i dont know, maybe some people will think the opposite.

Lets just enjoy this, and congratulations to those who have some money on any exchange to keep buying more, this is probably one of the best ways to keep re-stocking your wallets with more bitcoins.

And of course that this is healthy to the market too  Cheesy cause you are increasing the marketcap, lol

Truly a christmas gift to those who want to get involved in Bitcoin and altcoins. Let's all enjoy  and earn being in the cryptoworld.Have a Merry christmas !!!
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how I rescued my wallet.dat on: December 24, 2017, 10:33:55 PM
Congratz mate,  you seriously have an incredible luck that no one is able to have everyday! Specially on Christmas.

Congratulations for you, i guess that this has probably be one of the most beautiful christmas gift that you could receive right? like $26,000 just for doing nothing...

I hope that something like this is just going to happen to me.. only that i have never mined before and i have never stored before, because i have been trading with all the funds that i have on my wallet right now.

Are you going to hold them all or are you going to cash them out?

BTW, I guess I'm drunk, but I'm so happy that I found my Bitcoins, try the last chant line from my posting as a brainwallet in https://www.bitaddress.org for a surprise Wink
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales testing the market to see how much they can manipulate? on: December 24, 2017, 09:57:16 PM
If i had more than 100 bitcoins on my wallet i would be doing exactly the same right now, if you have money, you can easily make more money if you are decided to make more.

And you are probably talking about all those who are always creating shorting positions, i guess. They are the only ones who earnt money from that recently dump that we had yesterday.

The market is full of opportunities, and unfortunately, the only ones who are earning a bunch of money are the ones who most money have.

it is a cycle, it works by the same way in every situation of the society.

I don't thnk they are "testing". I think some of them are ALREADY making money from this fall.
The market is not like a product which you give it 100 times of testing before you draw a conclusion.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best currency to buy on: December 24, 2017, 09:48:27 PM
Shut the fuck up mate, no one cares about SPECTRE COIN, they do not even have a whitepaper! how the fuck do you expect to see us investing in there if we do not even know what spectre coin is?

I dont care about the specifications and tech that you wrote in there, you are just a bot or whatever the hell you are.

I am tired of seeing this kind of posts coming from you and all your altcoins.

be aware of this altcoin, this is a scam.

Hi there,i think Spectrecoin - XSPEC is a coin to definitely take a look at, i think its one of the best and undervalued coins out there.. v1.4 to be released imminently.. the best privacy coin on the market currently, recently
1037  Other / Meta / Re: Are there real people here, or just bots? on: December 24, 2017, 09:26:09 PM
"Cut that crap".. just non-sense words coming from a newbie who has been trying to level up in order to join a Sig campaign since he joined in here.

I dont care, in fact, i dont have anything against those who want to be in a signature campaign because it is a good way to earn money, but yes, i hate spam, i hate the non-sense posts, i hate all the newbies who came here in order to earn money.

I am more than four hours a day in here, and everytime that i enter to the most frequently boards like speculation-bitcoin discussion, it is full of newbies, yeah, only newbies trying to post shit in there, like you.

You said that you tried hard to get promoted, well, why all your post are crap with only two or three lines repeating the same shit once and once again?

You are the pest in here, i am tired of all the newbies always doing the same.

Cut that crap! If bot exist here, I will get angry because I try hard to be promoted. I post about 5 post a day then the bot easily leveled??  That is nonsense!! Cut that crap.!! Its not funny especially to us who spends time here just to be promoted!!
1038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinbase overload yesterday and temporary halt... which platform do you use? on: December 23, 2017, 11:22:50 PM
Yes.. Very unfortunately to realize that coinbase was having problems the same day that they listed bitcoin cash + the same day that they pumped bitcoin cash + the same day that GDAX was down for a whole hour because of freezing bitcoin price + the same day that the network got 280k of unconfirmed tx's.

Coinbase is the same as GDAX, so it is impossible to trade in there if the website is down, that is a simple knowledge.

A good alternative to GDAX is obviously Bitstamp or Binance, i would suggest you to use binance because you have a lot of altcoins to trade in there, and it works fine, it is not bugged all the time just like gdax is.

So yesterday morning(GMT-8, West Coast USA)) when prices were dumping and jumping, the coinbase platform which I currently use froze and halted and trades were impossible to make.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: unconfirmed transactions between 20k to 30k for more than a week on: December 23, 2017, 10:59:40 PM
But who is going to use pushtx for accelerating a single transaction? I would never use it only to move tiny amounts of money.

I would only use it if i have a transaction stucked worth of more than $20k or so, otherwise i would never pay $350 or not even $100.

Bitcoin.com is doing the same, i wanted to accelerate a transaction of $80 and they were charging me $89 for accelerating it, what an hypotetical situation right? haha, it made my whole day.

Dont use those accelerators, and the ones who are on this forum asking for tips, they all are FAKE, do not even think about using them because they all are the same lie and they are only in there to eat your money.

if you go to transaction accelerator like pusttx, they charges 350 usd to accelerate a simple transaction. viabtc charges 0.01 which equates to 160 usd. I am not aware of any other legitimate accelerator.
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: 285k+ unconfirmed transactions: How will affect Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2017, 10:36:49 PM
That is just what i answered yesterday... Just go and scroll up and you will see what i posted yesterday:

NO ONE knows when the mempool is going to get cleared, a transaction that i made with 250 satoshis per byte just four days ago got confirmed today, the reason? No one knows, not even me.

There are less than 210k of unconfirmed transactions at the moment, i am expecting to see the mempoool going back to normality in a few hours from now.

Maybe it will be betwene 100k - 120k before monday, who knows? There is not going to be a lot of traffic during Christmas Eve.

Before asking lazy questions, just see what i answered yesterday.

So how long will it take for most of these transactions to go away and drop off?
