1021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2022, 06:35:01 PM
I would never ever loan or borrow any amount just for the purpose of investing into Bitcoin. Instead of loaning, I would rather earn it in any way even if it means of getting a low wage job, etc. That's where I usually started in low wage jobs in which I saved money in order to buy some cryptocurrencies even in just small amounts.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest browser for Metamask ? on: April 14, 2022, 06:18:40 PM
Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.

Usually my main browser is Brave since it supports crypto integrated with rewards in BAT tokens. I installed Metamask, Ronin and other wallets here, but this is still vulnerable if we are not careful on which sites are we connecting our wallets. Coz' there are some cases which these phishing sites are setting up "traps" that they can take away the funds from Metamask wallets even without the need of seed phrases or private keys.

If you want your funds to be secured, it's better you should invest in a hardware wallet like Ledger, Trezor, Safepal, SecuX, etc.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 05:32:39 PM
i want to sell my property for bitcoin..
is there anyone here who buys property with bitcoin??

Have you tried posting it in various classified ads websites and newspapers and stating that you accept Bitcoin as payment? I think this would really work for you as a start. Not just in local classified ads, but on other international ones for exposure that they can be aware of you accepting BTC. Just my opinion bro.
But before that, mostly gumamit ako ng GCash na pambili USDT o BNB sa Binance P2P and so far wala problem at hindi na scammed.

Direct transaction gamit non-custodial wallet hehe.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 13, 2022, 12:36:51 PM
I haven’t been active in bounty campaigns lately. Only the signature campaign is the one that I am active right now. I’ve been focusing more in being a KOL and ambassador of multiple opportunities, which in fact have compensated me much better and fairly than most of the bounty campaigns. And also because of that, I had a chance to participate in various private sale campaigns even with just small amounts of allocation rather than what the VCs are capable of.

Regarding to the question about “are bounties dead?”. Not really.

Only a very few percentage of bounty programs are paying very well as long both the project and the bounty manager are reliable, honest and trustworthy. Every bounty campaign has risks but more on the time and effort that we have. However, we always have to acknowledge the fact that these bounty campaigns aren’t giving any promises or guarantees that they could be successful, paying us fairly, getting listed, etc. These are the risks. But if you are willing to take the risk, then that’s on you.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 13, 2022, 12:25:02 PM
I think the team should update the exchanges that the GOLD token is currently listed. I see that Cryptex is the only one, but it turns out that they have delisted the GOLD token as I have double checked. I tried to search any pairing of GOLD there, but there’s none. So it looks like the only way for us to exchange GOLD is within the internal marketplace. And also, I suggest they should update themselves in CoinMarketCap too. Just a suggestion for the dev team. Thanks!
1027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it too late to buy? on: April 13, 2022, 12:22:15 PM
There are so many questions regarding about this. Even my friends are also seeking advice from me if it’s the right time to buy, too late to buy, etc. Here is the reality. There is no perfect time to buy. It always depend on our instincts whether to buy or not.

Like for example, the starting price of BTC this week is $39k and then it pumped to $40k the next day, then you ask the question “is it too late to buy?”, and then the next day, BTC rose to $42K and you asked again “is it too late to buy”? If you keep asking questions like that while just sitting, watching the chart and opinion of others, no one can really answer it for you.

The cryptocurrency prices are unpredictable. It can go up or down anytime without warning. You may not know when will it pull back to the preferred price that you want to buy. If you believe so much about that certain cryptocurrency and not caring about the price, I think this question is irrelevant. No disrespect but this is the reality.
1028  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New York imposes a permit for Crypto companies on: April 13, 2022, 12:13:32 PM
-snip-
I believe that these measures will greatly benefit the country, generating more income, however many Crypto companies may be harmed.

It was foreseeable that the regulations would only be burdensome in terms of license fees and taxation. This should be big news, but if in reality it will make it more difficult for licensed companies to make a profit while on the other hand they have to get a license, then there are only 2 options, namely to apply for a license or leave the area.

I agree with this. Despite that we welcome regulation in open arms, the downside of it are the high taxes and spending too much money complying with the necessary requirements and licenses to operate within the area. I think the government should be reviewing these again and must listen to the concerns of those who aren’t in favor of this and needing adjustments.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 13, 2022, 12:09:16 PM
Either by word of mouth to conducting free seminars and workshops for various communities and universities. And also one great way is through NFTs and play to earn games, in which non-crypto people are easily introduced into cryptocurrencies here. This is why more and more people are now easily engaged into BTC and cryptos thanks to the evolution of NFTs and P2Es.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Charity Work on: April 11, 2022, 01:04:25 PM
I’ve been doing free training and education about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies since 2018. Been roaming around the country using my own money for accommodation, travel expense and venue (thanks to the glory days of airdrops and bounties) to educate the uninformed and misinformed community. I even do private workshops for free as I don’t want to charge a single dime like the gurus out there. But of course, there are random blessings from the organizers and community as well such as voluntary donations, treating me for food, etc., without even expecting it.

You’re doing great work in your Bitcoin charity activities. Keep it up, spread the word, love what you do, etc.
1031  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 11, 2022, 12:45:58 PM
I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?

For me, maybe one day there will be something next to crypto in the evolution of money, but it’ll take centuries in my opinion for it to happen. One day, maybe the bank notes and physical coins we have are gonna cease to exist, and may see that every transaction is made digitally.

However, we might not exist during that day on whatever that new evolution is. We just don’t know what the future holds for us. We can only imagine about it. The world continues to evolve as we know it, as well as the money itself.
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you, or would you ever use a Bitcoin ATM? on: April 11, 2022, 12:39:25 PM
I've seen them pop up all around me, in small convenience stores and even restaurants. I was wondering if it's a good option to buy a gift for someone else, or are the fees too high and it's not worth it? Also I'm not sure how it works but figuring they give you a private key, and how safe is that?

The last time I’ve used a Bitcoin ATM was in Singapore. It was inside the Plaza Singapura mall where there is a store that buys and sells gold. It was in 2019 where I tried to withdraw my Bitcoin to SGD and it took me at least 45 minutes of waiting before the transaction was finally confirmed. I had followed all of the steps carefully on how to withdraw in a Bitcoin ATM, and it’s really worth the experience despite it took me a while to make sure that everything is correct and not worrying about my funds in getting lost.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust this devil woman, she wants Bitcoin dead on: April 11, 2022, 12:35:32 PM
She can say whatever she wants about Bitcoin, but the reality is that Bitcoin adoption cannot be stopped. No matter how many negative stuff that we hear about Bitcoin, or saying that “Bitcoin is dead” many times, no one can stop it from getting adopted because it is highly “contagious”. We understand the opinion of others about Bitcoin, it’s just that they aren’t educated or informed enough about Bitcoin while other famous personalities, companies, institutions and crypto-friendly government have understood more than Janet and the other naysayers out there.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to have the same effect on alts? on: April 10, 2022, 04:16:56 PM
What do y'all think? Will BTC price movement continue to have the same effect on alts price in like 10 years? 20 years maybe? Let's hear some expert opinions.

It will only happen if Bitcoin's dominance is falling deeper than ever. Because they are the world's most popular and top-used cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization, most of the altcoins (with the exception of stablecoins) are being influenced by Bitcoin's price movement since the beginning. Not even ETH can take over BTC because it focuses more on the Dapps rather than being an alternative payment system alone due to the exorbitant gas fees.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if she receives Bitcoin as gift on: April 10, 2022, 12:27:04 PM
- Send them affordable Bitcoin on their birthday.

Give them bitcoin as a gift, but not on birthdays and valentines days and Christmas and stuff. A gift(especially for these special days I've mentioned) are mostly something to make them happy; not an opportunity for you to shove down your interests to them regardless if you have good intentions.

Unless if that person is already well-aware and have knowledge on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies just like my sister whom I gave her $100 worth of ETH last year and a hardware wallet days after the wedding date a couple of months ago.

Although that there's nothing wrong about giving BTC as a gift, but it's better if the OP let them understand first on what Bitcoin is all about. Education is the key.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation seem like the only option left on: April 09, 2022, 12:45:54 PM
Will there ever come a time that the government reaction to crypto will be encouraging for the people? Lately the head if international monetary fund Christine lagarde stated that regulatory action from the international community on crypto is inevitable ..what do you think

Because the banks and government can’t do anything about cryptocurrency since it’s unstoppable and contagious, regulation is the only option for them. If you look at China right now, they are criminalizing those people who are engaging in cryptocurrencies whether for trading, mining, etc.

They may have outlawed cryptocurrencies by imposing an outright ban within China, but the cryptocurrency activity can’t be stopped because there are still some Chinese who are engaging with it and has so much belief about it.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are getting stronger, how are you contributing? on: April 09, 2022, 12:31:06 PM
I am planning to print Bitcoin-related drifit shirts. One for myself, one for my beautiful supportive friend and a few more for a small giveaway event to the local community. I’ve created a local Facebook private group only exclusive for people living within the region which is more on NFTs since it’s an easy gateway for them in all walks of life to be introduced to Bitcoin.

I have started making educational videos about Bitcoin, NFTs, how to earn, etc., using our dialect known as Ilonggo, one of the Filipino sub-languages as there are many dialects here in the Philippines. It’s because I am planning to boost up the awareness here in the city and within the region. Only a few handful of us here know about Bitcoin, crypto, NFTs, etc., so since no one have ever created a local group focusing in this space, so I’ve decided to do it.
1038  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Worth it pa ba ang mag invest sa crypto? on: April 09, 2022, 12:20:46 PM

Walang promises or guaranteed returns dito. If you expect na pag buy mo ng kahit anong crypto, to the moon na agad yung mindset mo.

Before ka mag invest in any cryptocurrency, make sure na yung makaya mo lang mawala ang dapat i-invest o trade mo at hindi mag all-in or ubusin ang savings mo.

Kung meron kang specific project na tinitignan, dapat take your time na magbasa ng whitepaper, understanding their project, audited by CertiK, locked liquidity, team, etc.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposals for global shutdown of crypto on: April 08, 2022, 12:37:23 PM
The goal would be to end the ecoonomic destruction of bitcoin / crypto while causing the least losses possible to public.

Ideas on how to shut this endless crashing garbage down safely?

Dude you remind of him. Grin

Best of luck but just like the flu and COVID-19, crypto is contagious with unlimited variants that can’t be stopped no matter how hard you try.
