1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 01:11:46 PM
Tottenham have been impressive although not consistent but I give them some credit for struggling to win games especially in this rough times when the head coach Antonio Conte is absent due to illness. The way the team managed to face games and still give their all is amazing. The fact that Tottenham are now in top four position is remarkable.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 12:26:10 PM
Chelsea is not in good form so their next match which is with Tottenham might favour the away team because they are more better currently than chelsea
Tottenham are not the away team in this game, the game is to be played in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Chelsea are actually the away side. It is a London Derby, and it is expected to be tough, but Chelsea are in a pretty bad shape, thus it might be easy for Spurs to defeat them. I think a whole lot of Chelsea's problems stem from the manager, i had always said that i thought Graham Potter to be a 'small club' manager, thus he lacks the mentality to lead a big club like Chelsea to glory. Tuchel didn't deserve to be fired, and as things stands, sooner or later, this season or next, Graham Potter is definitely going to be fired.
I think with the current situation at chelsea and “luck” not being on their side, I’d say Tottenham have a better chance to win in this meeting especially with the fact that Spurs will be playing at home. We saw how difficult it was for Manchester City when they played Tottenham at home and they lost. I am expecting Tottenham to have the same result against Chelsea.

Yeah name change isn’t something that’s common here. It took The Sceptical Chymist a long time to get his name change despite his rank and contributions to the forum. If we are using that as the benchmark, I sincerely didn’t expect the newbie would get his request so fast or ever for that matter. It’s a shock especially when only a handful of persons have been able to get admin to change their username. The only thing that beats this is when Cryptovator changed his name twice in one year.

liverpool vs madrid will be an exciting match because currently, Liverpool's performance is not in the best condition in the EPL, but I agree with what you said that Liverpool is a team that is difficult to predict. the team that will win is a team that has a strong winning mentality and madrid looks like it will come out victorious in this 1st leg.

I can bet my last cent on that match that Liverpool will loose in the first leg and get knock down on the second leg and not because Madrid are experienced team, it's just that Liverpool doesn't have the balls to get pass this level. They have come far but I don't think there is a team that would advance from this leg with broken formation, their best Van Dijk is back and played average yesterday, nothing spectacular about Liverpool current form.

A month ago I would have boldly said Liverpool will lose to Real Madrid but the last three games have shown a different Liverpool side. Liverpool seem to be getting on the right momentum, it is not so certain that Liverpool will lose when they face Real Madrid. This will be a test for Liverpool, winning Real Madrid is just what they need right now to evaluate the team's progress in recent weeks and secure Klopp’s future at the club.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 21, 2023, 04:30:28 AM
Barcelona are still unstoppable against weaker teams. Cadiz couldn't resist them too much just as everyone expected. Xavi's system is just working smoothly in the La Liga and it is obviously enough for the championship as well. However I won't be saying the same thing for the tournaments like the Champions League, Europa League etc..

In these tournaments they have got very bad results in general so far. They are really struggling to beat big teams in such tournaments now. Xavi still can't find out a solution for this.
It is no surprise at all that Barcelona crushed Cadiz to extend their winning run and increase the gap away from Real Madrid. Xavi Hernandez has cultivated a winning mentality in his team and they go to every game fully motivated and determined to win. I give a lot of credit to Xavi whom I believe is the driving force to their success this season.

The latest on the transfer rumours is that PSG are monitoring 3 forwards from the Bundesliga club. The first is Kolo Muani from Frankfurt, the other two players are Marcus Thuram and Manu Kone who are players from Gladbach. All three are still quite young and it looks like this will only become a reality if Neymar does leave PSG in the summer transfer window.

Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/Co4Nc_9qs1q/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Marcus Thuram was into Chelsea and Inter Milan radar even he almost moved to Chelsea this winter but i don't know why Chelsea preferring to prioritize Mykhaylo Mudryk over him because i am sure Marcus Thuram quality doesn't below to Mudryk and in Monchengladbach he can playing with different position as a winger or striker and as the player who from mediocre team i think his goals records very impressive that from 20 matches Thuram has been scoring 11 goals during this season

His contract will be expired on summer this year because apparently Monchengladbach has decide not too extended his contract and if the rumours is true then PSG has joined the race with the teams i mentioned above so very interesting to see which clubs will be his destination
Marcus Thuram is one player I really admire especially after seeing his outstanding performance in the world cup, I love his strength and ability to force through defenses and create good chances. I expected Arsenal to go for him when we lost the race for Murdryk in January, I don't think Chelsea will be interested in Thuram after making all these signings in January.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 20, 2023, 11:10:50 PM
Surprisingly Arsenal have been top of headlines this season with an impressive performance, I have to admit that I didn't expect this season to be the big break for Arsenal. At this point, Arsenal have to maintain top form and stay consistent because Manchester United and Manchester City are behind and waiting for opportunity to overtake them and take the position at the top of the table.
1028  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The cause of early child birth on: February 20, 2023, 10:34:01 PM
My fellow Nigerians ,let's talk and discuss about our society and things happening.

One of the reasons why most young girls give birth in an early age is what Huh
1- lack of education
2_poor background
3_lack of good parents

Let me talk of number 3 ,when a woman or young lady gives birth in an early age ,she wishes that her female child should not leave the kind of life she leaved ,when her female child grows up she also gets pregnant and says she doesn't want her female child to be like her and her mother ,when her child grows up the same thing are said again ,so now what are the reasons  why it keeps happening again and again Huh

Most parents are so strict with their kids and gets upsets with everything she does ,that's not a way of handling a female child ,not that they should be giving previlages to do what ever they want but to bring them up with good morals from whaen they are small ,not with petting and petting as if they are animals like dogs and cats ,not to strict to but they say morals and good manners begins from the home .

So let's talk
There are lots of reasons why young girls get pregnant out of wedlock or young boys having baby mamas. Parenting is a full time job. It helps when both parents are together in the marriage, the children turn out to more productive in society than children raised by single mothers.
Since this topic is targeted at Nigerians, it makes sense to move the topic to our local board.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real-World Use Cases for Bitcoin in Agriculture? on: February 20, 2023, 09:54:11 PM
There isn’t much of a use-case except being a method of payment for your products. I think you should research the market and see what your competitors are doing and what you can be doing differently. For example, I know the popular bitcoiner in Nigeria aka Bitcoin Chief has a agricultural based platform for his farm and created his own crypto that’s being used as a transactional token to purchase agricultural products from his website. You can do something similar that can displace your competitors, people will more comfortable using bitcoin as payments than alien tokens.

The forum can be harsh to newbies when they suspect foul play. It wasn’t the best welcome but you will adjust to the way things are here soon enough. There is no need to provide personal information on the internet, this is an online forum and anyone can be identify as whatever they desire. Congratulations OP, getting into bitcoin at 16 is impressive. I think your interest in bitcoin puts you at a advantage in today’s world that’s moving towards metaverse and digital assets.
1031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of countries that are encouraging the Bitcoin/Altcoin revolution on: February 20, 2023, 09:45:27 AM
i prefer my own list ie
-El Salvador
-Central African Republic
-Indonesia 1
-Russia 1
-Nigeria
Snip

You can't include Nigeria that has banned the used of cryptosystem in the country, is the people of the country who is doing it secretly because the government do not owed individual computers. But talking about the countries like El Salvador and Vietnam I will agree because these countries that has put evidence the boost the market cap of bitcoin. Recently a Ghanian president is advised to adopt bitcoin as one of their exchange currency constitutionally but his also considering that bitcoin may bring down their economy power if carefully not projected for proper using by the citizens.
Who says bitcoin is illegal in Nigeria? The government has refuted that policy since last year. There’s been a lot of bitcoin awareness coming from Nigerians in this forum. Even I accept bitcoin as payment in my store and I haven’t been in any trouble with the law. Nigerian crypto exchanges like Roqqu, Patricia e.t.c are the leading exchanges in Africa. I think Nigeria deserves to be on the list.
My list goes
-El Salvador
-Central African Republic
-Nigeria
- Venezuela
- Ghana
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 20, 2023, 08:08:05 AM
There was a quite different Sevilla in the Europa League. Their performance against PSV was really impressive and they totally deserved that 3-0 win. The first half was a little better for PSV actually. They had a couple of opportunities to score but couldn't benefit from them. After that Sevilla started to take control of the match more and this brought about a very comfortable victory for them. All of their goals were really incredible by the way. I really appreciated their attacking effort in this one.

It was like Sevilla have been playing like this since the beginning of the season. They really want this Europa League title while they are having hard days in the La Liga.
Surprisingly Sevilla showed great spirit and a total different approach to the game against PSV. PSV is not an easy side to just go and beat 3 nil any day but Sevilla were able to do it. This is the kind of performance that is expected from a top club all season, it is good to see them putting up such a display hopefully they can maintain this level of performance going forward.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 19, 2023, 11:55:10 PM
Very interesting game between Manchester United and Leicester City, both team showed how much they wanted to win, United created good chances and also did well to convert three in the back of the net United scored three goals thanks to Marcus Rashford and Sancho closing the event making it three. Rashford could have had a hat-trick if he stayed on the pitch for complete 90 minutes because with his pace and good positioning he will always get chances and he is so good with his finishing which puts him in a good position to get a hat-trick in this game if he wasn't taken off. Rashford has proven me wrong this season and I must admit he is one of the best young strikers in Europe now, I wish him the best for the rest of the season and hope him is able to help his team win the caroboa cup final against Newcastle united.

There's a news where Marcelo decide to leaves Olympiacos which result termination on his contract, so he need to pay the penalty fee to Olympiacos. I don't understand why he did this because he's not a good player anymore, his peak performance was at 2017-2018 after then his performance start to drop and it's make Real Madrid don't want to extend his contract. I don't think there's a big club want to sign him, he might join a weaker club than Olympiacos or officially announce retired from professional career.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1626962418646614016
I also came across this news earlier in the day and I kept asking myself why he is quitting, could it be that he is not catching up with expectations at the club or probably an issue of his attitude. It is understandable if he is not meeting up the level at which the coach wants to leave and find a new challenge elsewhere.

Tottenham have been reported to be interested in Antonio Rudiger from Real Madrid maybe but I don't think this transfer is likely to happen. I mean he is one of the members of the starting eleven for Real Madrid. He has been playing for 90 minutes regularly for a long time. It looks like Ancelotti is quite contented with his performance in the defense line for now. Otherwise there are five natural centre-backs in total in the squad so he would have preferred to give chances to some other defenders.

Tottenham also have quite many centre-backs now but I can't say their defense is very solid now. Maybe they want to get rid of at least one of the current players and bring a credible one to the team.
I am certainly not sure Real Madrid will want to give out Antonio Rudiger who has barely stayed two complete seasons at the club. I think this deal is unlikely to happen because Rudiger is one of the outstanding defenders Real Madrid have at the moment. With the very high level of inflation in the transfer market I expected such a price to be labelled on the English man who is currently firing and enjoying a good season.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 19, 2023, 10:52:11 PM
It is undeniable that Bayern Munich is one of the candidates to be able to win the Champions League title this season. But I agree that it's too early to say they will become champions, even though they now have a bigger chance because they can excel on aggregate from Paris Saint Germain to qualify for the quarter-finals, but their task in the second leg will not be easy, Paris Saint Germain have the ability to turn things around.
Bayern Munich played very well in the first match on the Parc des Princes pitch. They control the ball with high passing accuracy. Even Bayern Munich plays in an attacking style, as if they have never been the least bit worried about facing Paris Saint-Germain. Messi's movements continued to be stopped, there was almost no chance to shoot.
In the second match, of course, it will take place at home to Bayern Munich, of course the mentality of the Bayern Munich players will increase thanks to the support of the supporters. During the matches between these two clubs, Bayern Munich have won most of their matches at home.
I think this match will boomerang for Lionel Messi if he is unable to get PSG through to the last 8.
Can PSG turn things around? That's something hard to do. Don't rely on star players, who seem to be able to make a good contribution on the field. We both witnessed in the first match, the dangerous attacks carried out by PSG after replacing Carlos Soler with Kylian Mbappe. But when the front line gets stronger, can the back line also defend well? Of course it is the combination of players that will determine the win.
Bayern are a big club with much experience in the the champions league so I'm not shocked at the composure and calmness with which they played against Paris Saint German.  Bayern Munich were able to keep the game under control and defend their one goal lead till full time. Now facing PSG at home and with Neymar injured Bayern Munich have better chance defending their first leg victory.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 19, 2023, 10:38:14 PM
Manchester City might have the toughest squad in the tournament but I still believe Real Madrid are the favourites to win the trophy this season because they do not just have a good team like Manchester city but they also possess that winning mentality and experience of competing in the Champions league and as well how to win it. This is a quality I think Manchester City are still lacking and that is why it has been difficult for them to win the Champions league. Bayern Munich are also underdogs to look out for this season.

The latest news regarding the summer transfer rumors that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Roberto Firminho from Liverpool on a free agent status. I think this is a pretty good opportunity for Firminho considering he has rarely been in Liverpool's starting line-up since the arrival of Gakpo and Nunez and has mostly been on the bench this season.
Last season could actually be the last season for Firmino but indeed Liverpool pushed a little because their time was a bit of a crisis because several of their players in the attack line had left and some were injured which kept Firmino maintained but with the current conditions it is very difficult to return to hold Firmino moreover he also does not want to continue to be on the bench.
The chance is great for Atletico even though there are already several strikers but this could be a new challenge for Firmino.
Liverpool managed to hold Firmino down to an extra one year deal. I think despite bringing in additions like Darwin Nunez in the summer, it seems Klopp still has faith in Firmino to be that extra man to change things on a tough day but unfortunately sitting on the bench every week doesn't look good. I will agree with you that keeping Firmino for a further year is unlikely.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bolt driver experience: promoting bitcoin in my business on: February 19, 2023, 07:46:58 PM
Nice one OP. I can see how this will work. Bolt drivers usually accept bank transfers and bitcoin payments will be an upgrade imo. Congratulations on getting your first bitcoin paid ride, many of the people here who have shared their story are yet to have a customer pay in bitcoin. You’re far ahead of them, maybe because of the nature of your work.

In one instance, bolt generally generates speculates how long and how many kilometres a ride might last and use that to speculate the price of the ride which is always visible to the passenger. Now, its know that many times, its always about that and on few occasions, traffic and other diversions can alter the price. Hence, its not something you pay as a go but upon arrival and its usually based on the price generated by the driver.

Given the fact that, bitcoin transactions don't come with immediate confirmation timing and has got fees attached to its processing, how do you mediate between these. Increased fee surely ensures faster transactions and that might just be well over 30-50% of your ride fee.
It just doesn't fill convenient and having to wait on transaction to get broadcasted and at least go through some confirmation.
Good question Mr Right. I wonder how OP will handle such situations considering the time frame for the blockchain network to reach three confirmations. Do you just let them go with the transaction pending because bitcoin transaction is “irreversible”.

Arsenal must win the game against Aston Villa. they cannot lose any more points. now, City can be very aggressive to overtake Arsenal on points. even if Arsenal want the title this season, they need to be consistent to win from now on. especially if you meet a weak team, and they can't afford to drop points. because strong teams like Man United cannot be underestimated at this time. they gradually showed a better game. Arsenal initially led by a pretty good point difference, but now they are being caught by City.
Arsenal looked pressured when they were 2-1 down in yesterday's match, but in the second half they performed better and were able to win the game with a convincing score and Arsenal's third and fourth goals as the winning goals were the result of a mistake by the Aston Villa keeper and Arsenal again benefited because City only drew with Nottingham Forest how disappointing the result was for City, and the results of yesterday's match at least returned Arsenal hope for the tittle.
Arsenal understood the assignment and put themselves back in the title race. The win against Aston Villa was very important to the club including the fans, that is the kind of result needed at this point to boost up the team's confidence and restore hopes of winning the title. This win definitely puts more pressure on Manchester City, the citizens had a disappointing draw against Nottingham Forest. I’m starting to believe Arsenal is fated to win the title this season.

True next elclassico game with answer lots of questions in the minds of fans and football lovers and whoever turns out victorious will be said to be the strong team this season. Regarding the absentees in yesterday’s game, I think Ancelloti is reserving his key players for the coming champions league game against Liverpool which he rates very important, we should expect to see these players featuring in the Champions league game.
