1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Frequency of back ups...? on: February 02, 2017, 02:48:13 PM
You did not mention which version you are using , old wallets comes with 100 pre-generated private keys which makes it obligatory to make regular backup based on how often you use your wallet , while with the new bitcoin core , I believe 0.13.0 and above the wallet became HD so taking one backup should do the job.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For monthly subscriptions, bitcoin may be more appropriate. on: February 02, 2017, 01:54:27 PM
I definitely disagree when It comes to monthly subscriptions on whatever service it is , whether Its music , movies or anything else. Those who apply for memberships usually want to renew them and the thing with bitcoin is that Its impossible to do so without manually sending the funds each month over and over again.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: February 02, 2017, 01:11:18 PM
Its the human nature , greed. I don't want to get involved into gambling for this exact reason because once you start and you get excited you will sooner or later finish by losing everything because of the greed. Often , when people lose , they want to take another shoot until they get addicted but the thing is that even If they win , they won't stop but they rather continue until they are finished.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to store Iconomi tokens and get dividends paid? on: February 02, 2017, 12:45:40 PM
They do care about their customers and they provided tutorials for both Myetherwallet and Mist . If you participated in the ICO you should've seen these links in their official thread multiple times. You should consider Mist as a full node while Myetherwallet is a client-side tool where is no need of downloading the blockchain . Just like Bitaddress.org with bitcoin , I suggest downloading the source code and run it locally on an offline computer just in case and make sure to keep a backup and print a paper wallet.
1025  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BitSquare is a good exchange to start trading? on: February 02, 2017, 11:46:00 AM
I believe that the bitcoin community somehow hates decentralization and really don't care about their privacy or the fees involved in the major exchanges. BitSquare is definitely solving a lot of issues that we have with the traditional system but It also need some improvements such as adding new payment methods and sooner or later the development could stop because of funding so I guess It would be a good idea If they start crowdfunding for both marketing and developing the software more.
1026  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Goldmoney: are gold transactions reversible? on: February 02, 2017, 10:39:57 AM
Anyone knows if the gold that is sent from one account to the other is reversible?

They are but not in all cases , If you for example gained these goldmoney from referrals or got them from someone , as far as I know It's impossible to reverse those If you send them to somebody else , however If you ever deposit into your account using a credit card for example then there is definitely a chance of being able to reverse transactions.
1027  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: how using API Blocktrail on: February 02, 2017, 03:27:21 AM
Between all the APIs available on the market , Blocktrail one is probably the best when It comes to the limits and stability. Documentation include everything that you need to know too with different used programming knowledge , some like .NET are not available there but you should find a library on GitHub .
1028  Other / Off-topic / Re: Signature camp hopping? on: February 01, 2017, 07:43:48 PM
I doubt that they have any rules against that but eventually , those who only post for earning money will get caught for spamming and get banned , not to mention that high signature campaigns are never here for a long time , most of the ones that exists for long term are the ones that pays a medium rate all the time without caring about bitcoin conversion rates.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: money or not? on: February 01, 2017, 07:37:09 PM
Other then checking bitcoin core Itself ? I would suggest looking into Lightning network which is a decentralized network that should allow instant and off chain transactions or there is TumbleBit which is a new payments protocol that gives us the ability to make anonymous transactions , more secure then they are now. Both projects are in the early stages and none of them are implemented on bitcoin yet.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could BTC ever become fast enough to function as a single world currency? on: February 01, 2017, 06:48:00 AM
Why not ? Lightning network is always there whether SegWit gets implemented or not. LN should enable instant off-chain transfer of the ownership of bitcoin without the need of any third party , of course there should be enough LN nodes out there. I really doubt that bitcoin could become the primary international currency , not because It can't handle it but more because the banking system and governments won't allow that to happen.
1031  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase - not able to buy via PayPal? Wtf? on: February 01, 2017, 06:28:03 AM
You was able to buy using PayPal before but not anymore ? I looked into it and It looks like PayPal was available for only selling your BTCitcoins and not to use it for buying , not to mention that this feature is not available worldwide and an ID verification is needed as mentioned on their blog.
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HELP"" 2 Hours and bitcoin still not here on: January 31, 2017, 07:02:08 PM
I send from blockchain App iPhone btc to elektrum wallet put nothing still here and no confermation.

It literally could be anything at this point but most of the time Its the low transaction fees that result in not having your transaction being confirmed within the first 20-30 minutes , share your TXID .
1033  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitbays.com legit? on: January 31, 2017, 04:18:45 PM
I have never used them myself but I found a post about them on BitcoinMarkets subreddit but nothing that worth reading and I also came across a forbes article , even though the domain name wasn't given but only BitBays was mentioned as a name I guess Its legit since the staff is chinese and so the website you gave us.
1034  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Account Hacked Yuriygeorge on: January 31, 2017, 06:34:28 AM
There is indeed different ways to proof the ownership of your forum account but the thing is that theymos is not willing to do any of them except verifying a signed message from your old posted addresses , without forgetting the fact that he is busy and It could take time.
1035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can someone help me understand this? on: January 31, 2017, 05:54:46 AM
Well yes that's the logical thing to happen since the price is based on supply and demand just like bitcoin and the other digital currencies and I guess It did happen since and according to CoinMarketcap , the price went - 17% already
1036  Other / Meta / Re: Idea of the extra feature shop in forum on: January 30, 2017, 07:51:45 PM
Limits for images posting are here to prevent spamming most of the time , avatars were used as an exploit to hack the forums at some point and that's why they got disabled and added again a few months back.

Theymos doesn't look like a greedy person to me otherwise he wouldn't spend a couple of millions dollars on developing a new forum software and he also wouldn't pay the moderators and staff members , not to mention that he could lower the price for the donator and VIP ranks but he choose to not doing so. If he decided to do nothing of the above its only because he see that the weekly adslot auctions are more then enough .
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fiverr no longer accepting Bitcoin on: January 30, 2017, 07:04:27 PM
Where now we can find writers that accept bitcoin?
Any other sites?

XBTFreelancer which is almost an exact copy of Freelancer but Its mostly for the bitcoin community , the issue is that the website is not really used and known even though they started advertising on the forums but I still think there is a lack of freelancers there.
Alternative option is to find someone from the forums through the services section and your chances on finding one are high as I've seen some experienced people who worked for Cointelegraph , BitcoinMagazine , Bitcoinist etc...
1038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: software to trade on multiple exchanges? (not bot) on: January 30, 2017, 06:33:57 PM
Hi,
I would find it convenient to have a software that could let me trade on multiple exchanges to have an overview of all my orders in one place.
I think I had found an android app that was doing that but I'd like something for PC
anything like that out there?
Thanks

C.A.T is probably the best you could ever find on the market and there is Gunbot too but It only supports Poloniex and It's new compared to CAT and It got released a few months back . cat is actively being developed for years now and the beta for 4.7 was released a couple of days ago.
I doubt the app you are using is legit or really well built but the bot I mentioned definitely worth it from the reviews and feedback I have read.
I just saw that you want a bot but I still think the options I gave will still work If you disable some features.
1039  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC.com | Safe, secure & trusted | BITCOIN WALLET on: January 30, 2017, 05:37:52 PM
I think this is one of the best web wallet. And now I have an account, just for better, for development and more secure, please add for SMS verification, so when we send bitcoin is more secure.

I'm with SMS/Phone notifications when It comes to receiving funds as I suggested once but I really don't see the purpose behind making an sms verification If there is already Google Authenticator , If you really compare you will see that third party services used sometimes fail to send SMS while with 2FA of google there no failure , without mentioning the fact that SMS will cost them money.
1040  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: make web wallet , just question on: January 30, 2017, 05:05:54 AM
Sites that allows us to create online web wallets have no future on the bitcoin world , I know that most of the people are using them right now but It's just a matter of time until people understand how insecure these wallets are and sadly , they are probably going to learn it the hard way , means after the wallet gets hacked.
