i'm really interested to your experience! did you buy condenser coil or did you do by your self? If you can share...
No, I didn't use a condenser coil - since this was more experimentation and I was trying to use more easily accessible things I was using a small radiator instead. While they perform very different functions, the general principle is the same (tube with fins, one to radiate heat the other to collect heat). I suspect there was some performance loss from the radiator choice but I also figured it was small enough not to matter - as at least in my little test rig it didn't seem to affect it. Really, very little is different than a normal water-cooling system in that regard - you'll basically pass water through the radiator, then you need to cool it back down in some way. In my case it was just another radiator with fans I had outside of the Novec enclosure. Just a closed loop with two radiators, a pump and a reservoir - and it was all PC cooling stuff I have from other cooling systems I've done. can you share some photos?? or maybe do you have a thread in bitcointalk forum?

hum.. could be nice! but you need "Cloud" layer who is not free. I hope you will give it as "option" and leave the price of software as is. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

looks pretty cool. I have a few Thermaltake PSU's they are very reliable
From their site "patented 256 colors RGB fan". PATENTED??? How the hell did something as common as RGB modulation of LED's in a fan or whatever get a patent??? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) this is completely useless!!! probably he wanted to get rid of those fans ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

S9 - remove the A: , enable the W: but after a reboot, S9 will revert to Restricted again. ---> @patrike, not sure if you are aware of this ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) easier solution for noobs on the S7, flash older version of fw such as Fri Dec 11 11:51:56 CST 2015, no restrictions. GL & have fun, don't break, blow or brick anything ! Just looked into the Restricted API access and speed changes using Awesome Miner: You need either the Professional Edition or higher to use those functions. Looks like time for me to bite the bullet and upgrade from Standard to Premium (good for 20miners per-site). Nice thing is that Premium also unlocks remote access for monitoring/rebooting my farm at work ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) hi not fuzzy warm. but there is no API on firmware, to manage rules from custom c#/VB.NET code and interact with S7/S9? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) i find nothing about that... but it seems impossible!!!

For those that want to try this, but the cost of the Novec is way too much. You can test this out with a much cheaper alternative and there's been threads on Mineral Oil Submersion systems here before. Why not test it with that first and then decide if you want to go to Novec?
For me, playing with Novec would be fun but it's cost kills that idea. I really don't care for the issues with any other type of fluid submersion cooling so that brings me back to using cooling blocks. Now just need to think of how to couple a cold plate to the short topside heat sinks... Using a thermal gap filler putty like from Bergquist would be dandy. Just put a blob on each chipsink to fill most of the open area between the fins. But once again, it is not cheap although far more affordable than Novec or most other engineered thermal transfer fluids. 1000$ (about 900eur) for 1 gallon or for EU 245eur for 1 liter is too much. specially in EU i will never see ROI I thought novec cost a lot less!!!!

And then nevertheless it will be the risk that your laptop will die due overheating or big power usage 24/7 Is it worth to? You to decide ))
this is damn right! are you ready to risk your 600/700/800$ laptop to earn 20cets/day??? and what about ROI? 3000days... 8 years about!!! ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)

And then that lets to my final takeaway - part of the system failed at some point in my testing, and the Novec turned to gas and ran away. All of it. $1000 basically vaporized overnight, oh, and they took the ASIC with them, since it promptly burned itself up once the Novec took off.
damn!!! this liquid it is very expensive!!! I never thought to this possibility!!!
