We get another fishy odds, but i'll ride with the Seahawks @1.76 (price boost). The Giants look like one of the weakest teams after facing a couple of good teams, while the Seahawks are better on paper and want to extend their win streak to three. The bookies are testing the Giants here since this is the second time they'll face a team (the first was against the Cardinals) they can potentially beat.

Yes, it ended 23-20 for the Chiefs which they didn't deserve to win. Mahomes had 2 interceptions from what I witnessed while watching the game and Kelce didn't get going in this one with his usual performance.
Not the same Chiefs team who won the Super Bowl last season that's for sure against a struggling and recovering offensive line-up including Zach Wilson.
Who hasn't got into the leading role of being the starting QB yet.
I agree the Chiefs performed like they were the underdogs in this matchup and I regret not buying a few extra points for my under as I wasn't expecting a lackluster second half from these two teams.

I am really curious, near the end of the 4th quarter of the match, why did Patrick Mahomes stop near the goal instead of going for the Touchdown? I've read some comments on YouTube that it was to waste time and guarantee their win and others said that the Chiefs would still win if Patrick Mahomes went for the Touchdown.
Crazy things can happen even if there's only a minute and a half left and with their defense performing inconsistently, there's a possibility of it going to OT if they went for a TD.

I haven't thought that far, but I guess when I reach a certain age, I can see myself dropping it since my priorities won't stay the same, and there are different sources of entertainment that I can use to replace gambling. I sometimes use these other sources to keep myself away whenever i'm having a bad day at gambling. Then again, I could be wrong because i'm mostly gambling for the fun of it and it could last for a long time if this level of fun remains the same until I get old.

After two of my midfielders didn't play i'm still lucky I got away with 70 points this week. Replacing Alexander-Arnold with Andersen suddenly paid off thanks to that upset by Crystal Palace.  Grin

I decided to use my wildcard this week.
I was thinking of using mine because I have to replace some of my players but I ended up just using the free transfers to downgrade my squad.

I was hoping we'd get some NFL MOTD, but today's not it as I see the Chelsea vs. Fulham markets already up.

It'll be another skip for me as I think this match is more likely to end in a draw and I don't trust these two teams to score more than one goal after looking up their recent match results.  Cheesy

Maybe there's value in Fulham but the ATGS leg might not hit when they have three players that can score.

1025  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Sportsbook to handle large bets? on: October 02, 2023, 12:56:06 AM
and the OP should consider his decisions here. because if he has no problems with those 2 bookies he'd playing with, then, what are the reasons why he wants to change his bookies? a new one may pose trouble for him if he will be playing such large amounts. for sure, he needs to take care of kyc requirements also. if he really wants to try new ones, much better if it is reputable ones that he can find in this forum. at least, when he gets into trouble, he can ask for help or contact any rep here. not many casinos can handle such amount of money though.
He already pointed out his problem and it's the betting size each sportsbook can handle because there's always a limit to how much you can win per bet. Looking for more sportsbooks would help him increase his betting size overall since each sportsbook can only allow up to a certain amount per bettor.

What's your average bet size? In Fortunejack, i've checked the T&C, and it says the max payout goes up to €100K but it might not be the same with their NCAAF markets. Maybe it's best to try for a betting exchange like Fairlay.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 02, 2023, 12:03:52 AM
I was one selection off of a big win today, one Justin Fields rushing TD off $1k+ on 500+ odds parlay.
That is brutal, but it's still impressive to see every leg hitting, including the other ATTD props. I guess they didn't want to switch things up when the passing game kept working for them.

I'm thinking of buying some points for the Chiefs match but I decided to scrap that play and just go for the under 41, when the under trend remains hot. I'd imagine this match to be similar to the Jags vs. Chiefs a couple of weeks ago, where we won't see much scoring since the Jets still have a top-tier defense.

Edit: My under is a guaranteed loss at this point after the Chiefs scored way too fast and the Jets can't get a stop. Tongue
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 01, 2023, 05:57:39 AM
Im abit in the mood of betting small on these specials so Im putting $25 for each of it. For some reason I think the newcastle's special could hit so Im taking that as well although normally I would have skip it again.

I wouldnt worry about Arsenal, I mean I think they've learned it the hard way last season. They could have won the league but somehow they kept losing on games that they could easily get 3 points from so yeah I think Arteta would not ruin it today and besides they got alot of points to catch up for.
I thought yesterday's MOTD bets would likely hit, but things turned unexpectedly for both bets. Newcastle got the first two legs down but the goals came from the players we didn't need to score.

And in the multi-bet, you're on point with Man United to disappoint but the loss wasn't as bad since the same goes for Man City.

I'm skipping today's MOTD (Nottingham vs. Brentford) since both odds are too high for my liking and I might just bet on some NFL.

Oh come on, the moment I decided to skip this then this one ended up winning again. Although the game was pretty close but I guess Hoffenheim cant even scored any goals after their 1st goal. This one adds another stake onto your record, pretty nice one at 3.7 odds

I wont be skipping the EPL multi bet for sure, City and Arsenal should win comfortably but the problem lies with United huh. To be honest, Im having a little bit of doubt whenever I bet on them eventhough I support the team but I just cant lie to myself when it comes to betting  Roll Eyes
Based on the expected goals, I got saved by luck after Hoffenheim failed to convert most of their shots and I thought it would go to a draw after Dortmund got a red card but they held until the end and even got a third goal.

In the EPL multi-bet, i'm more nervous about the away teams (specifically Arsenal) because even though it looks easy for them to win, there's still a small possibility for the underdogs to perform at their peak like they're fighting for relegation.  Cheesy

1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Tips for Consistent Profits on: September 29, 2023, 09:31:27 PM
The third tip you didn't include in the first post rarely comes by because of certain matchups, so you can't simply get better at finding these kinds of bets. Maybe you could get better at discovering these matches early on, but it might become time-consuming if you do it regularly.

I don't get the hate about the guide, but the title sounds misleading after checking all three tips in the link. Instead of a guide for keeping the profits going, they're more of a general sports betting tip for the bettors.

Still, it was a nice read over the sea of gambling questions that we have here in this section.  Cheesy
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 29, 2023, 03:25:54 PM
Dang, 19 out of 32 bets that you have placed and I hit none of it. I think so far I've tried like 3-4 MOTD and none of that hit lol. They got a Dortmund-Hoffenheim MOTD special tonight and Im not sure if Im going to place a bet on this lol. Part of me want me to try on MOTD specials again but I think my luck sucks badly on this type of bet so this might not hit
I also didn't expect my record to be above 50% when the recent bets have been a hit or miss.

Today's MOTD is almost in the same spot as yesterday, where both teams have the same form. It's best to skip this one, but I still gave it a shot since I had bets with low expectations and still came out a winner.  Wink

Tomorrow's EPL Multi bet (City, Arsenal, and United) @3.50, and the Newcastle MOTD @2.90 is more convincing.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports bets/bettting on the NFL games for this weekend on: September 29, 2023, 05:52:16 AM
It depends on what bets you're looking for. Parlaying the big favorites (Chiefs, Eagles, and 49ers all to win at 1.75) would be the safe play, but that's just me if i'm desperate for a win this week.

Only the Chiefs are playing on the road, but it shouldn't be a problem against the Jets, who recently lost their main QB due to an injury.

If you prefer singles over parlays, then the Bengals, Bills, and Browns are worth checking out at 1.70~ odds each, depending on your sportsbook. The Bengals are the only road team between these three, but their opponent (Titans) isn't as impressive if you look at their stats.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 29, 2023, 01:13:12 AM
Genoa ended up hitting them pretty hard with 4-1. I was pretty close on betting the double chance option for Genoa then decided not to because Genoa is on a pretty bad form themselves so I skip that. I mean I would never imagine Roma to be losing this bad against Genoa, thought it could be pretty close call between both these teams like a 1 goal difference win for Genoa or draw but yeah Roma is pretty bad right now
I also thought we'd get a draw but Genoa continued pouring in the goals after the first half to secure their first home win.

Whats your record on MOTD as of now ? I dont think this hit pretty often eh. Do any of you guys remember the blackjack special? I kinda missed the blackjack special bet that sportsbet used to have. Most of us won with pretty good record back then wasnt it
My record so far is 19-13 in 32 bets and here are more stats after putting all my bets under a spreadsheet. It's been good so far and I think I missed a few MOTDs because some of the matches start way too early.

I remember the BJ specials being one of the profitable promotions, but I missed out on it because I thought I was already late on the action.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: September 28, 2023, 11:57:41 PM
The TNF match is closing in. I've locked my bet on the Lions -1.5 and think they'll get away with a close win against the Packers. The Lions look like the better team in this matchup but their passing defense is a bit concerning. The Packers could abuse that struggling defense and keep this one tight.

The under 45 is also an alternative play when the trend keeps pushing and I was close to taking it if only the odds on the Lions weren't this close.

Dota 2 Compedium have been released by Valve and fans seems to like it so far even if the sales on this one is not like the previous years... .

More info can be found here - https://hawk.live/posts/international-2023-prize-pool

Also , Valve said that a new patch will drop after TI will be over as they don't want to ruin the current meta of the game where almost everything seems stable and without important bugs.
In the other parts of the Dota community, it's nothing but hateful comments about the Compendium, as most players weren't expecting the rewards to be minimal.

I'm also not a fan of the Compendium they've released but there's no need to put more fuel in the fire when the tradeoff was getting more game updates this year.

On the bright side, we have something to look forward to after TI since they mentioned a few things at the end of the announcement.

Special you selected for the Match of the day seemed to hit with Joselu scoring.
Had to check the goal scorer Mato but that is how most books had the goalscorer in the second half.

Today's specials are for the Serie A as shown below:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches/today

Several matches yesterday were played earlier in the day but this one is later so there is still time to grab this special.
Before placing the bet, I was also confused about who Mato was in their lineup and had to look it up because it wasn't showing up through flashscore. Because of the unusual naming, the bet initially got settled as a loss, but a quick message with their live support fixed it.  Cheesy

I'll test my luck with AS Roma @4.60 for today's MOTD. I don't expect this one to hit because their form is a bit off, but we'll see if they can show signs of life against a newly promoted team.

1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 28, 2023, 02:12:46 AM
I've been following a few gambling channels on Twitter and Telegram, and whenever they share a screenshot of a bet slip or winning ticket, they occasionally also include the balance of their wallet. I've seen this happen several times, which made me wonder why they don't choose to withdraw their winnings instead of storing them in their gambling site wallet. Why do they leave that much in there, or is it simply for show off? A gambling expert should know better than to save their money on casino websites.

I always withdraw all my winnings and only deposit the right amount i want to use to gamble whenever i want to play a game. I’d like to know everyone’s opinion on which way is better and which one do you practice in managing your funds on gambling sites.
I assume others leave their funds because they might continue playing, or maybe the funds they have are sponsored by the casino.

In my case, I only withdraw my balance frequently whenever i'm using altcoins and if I don't have plans to gamble for quite a while because the withdrawal fees in BTC can quickly add up compared to altcoins. If leaving my balance in the casino for a few days would save me time and money, then i'd prefer to do that over withdrawing every time my session ends.
1038  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment 🎰📈🏀⚾🏈⚽ on: September 28, 2023, 12:01:39 AM
I'm surprised that no one mentioned the email sent a week ago about the new deposit options, and it's great to hear that your sportsbook is now accepting altcoin deposits.

The others might not like this because it means all altcoin deposits are automatically converted to BTC. And once you check their deposit page, you must agree with their terms (converting altcoins to BTC) before they show the deposit address.

1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 27, 2023, 11:06:36 PM
I rarely flex mine because they don't seem good enough when they're mainly single bets. It might be a coincidence for me, or my luck is terrible, but for the most part, it goes the other way around. Even if that's the case, I still share some bets that others will be interested in taking because it's always nice to help others have a profitable day.

Also, well done on winning your long-shot parlay. I can't imagine myself placing those bets regularly.  Wink
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 27, 2023, 04:04:59 PM
The specials section is finally moved to the left side of the sports list, which should save me a few clicks less whenever checking the MOTD.  Wink

We got two MOTDs today, but i'm avoiding the other one since it's the EFL Cup, we know the top teams prefer to use their secondary squad for those matches.

The Real Madrid MOTD relies on several goals because the Mato to score leg doesn't look as convincing when he's the second-top scorer in the team and made two goals. The good part is those two goals came from both home matches, but Las Palmas is on a streak of conceding not more than one goal.
