I might have found a bug. Not sure,  though, and it might have been fixed and I never noticed...

CGMiner 2.6.4
Windows 7 x64
Catalyst 11.5

Crashes on start when both voltage is set and debug mode is enabled. I haven't looked into it further.
Erm, DO NOT use outdated binaries?
1022  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: November 16, 2012, 07:25:57 AM
Yes, that's new. Preparation for ASICs! It tries to regulate the work's difficulty to keep it at one response per second.
Is there any way to configure the period server or client side?

Not currently, no. Do you have a need to?
Is this per miner or per node? Ie I have only 150MH, some 1GH miner is uisng my node. What will be share diff for me and for him? Same?
1023  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overc monit fanspd RPC stratum linux/windows/osx/mip/r-pi 2.9.3 on: November 14, 2012, 05:08:39 PM
Are there any issues with running multiple instances of cgminer as long as they are talking to different devices? Does cgminer hold any locks or open any pipes or temp files?

I do this without any problems as a way to point my BFL Singles to different pools than my GPUs.
Or use different workers for each cgminer instance.
1024  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: November 14, 2012, 09:44:37 AM
Cgminer uses opencl drivers on any device that supports it, so hash rate on various devices depends mostly on opencl drivers.
Nvidia is more concentratd on cuda, so they opencl drivers are not so good as ATI ones.
Also 10s longpool is one of P2pool features needed to keep pool integrity/payouts and can not be changed w/o totally change pool rules.
1025  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NPW 5.1 p2Pool - bad luck or flawed? on: November 13, 2012, 03:56:08 PM
Looks like it need update, or another chapter Smiley
http://p2pool.info/luck/
All-time luck is back to 100%, bugs that possibly cause bad luck/orphans are fixed IMO.
Long live P2pool! Cheesy

Hi.
Small reminder: "Q:" is still very wrong.
(...)
It is p2pool, so longpool every 10sec, 21 new blocks in mean time but Q is only 4 and E is hitting roof on this small MH/s

Don't know what's wrong with that.  Seems to me to be a good thing if P2pool is using rolltime.

But I have a question, why is P2pool sending a LP every 10 seconds?

Sorry to be off topic, again, but this seems to be a huge waste of work.
1. Even if it is using rolltime Q should be at lease eqal to NB (in 1000% it is different work)
2. Read about p2pool Smiley we are mining payuout blockchain which have 10sec blocks.
3. Waste of work only if miner config is wrong or you have FPGA that cant handle quick longpools. Works fine on all GPUs.

Anyway, on 8. nov all-time luck went to 99.9%! Really good improvement form less than 90% few months back. Sadly that last over-lengh blocks killing it again... :/
Since our current lucky streak has been completely jinxed already, I'll just pile on and point out that for the first time in nearly a year, the all-time luck is back to even!
Yep ;]
1029  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: November 12, 2012, 07:20:31 AM
And we have a nice luck streak again  Shocked

got 5,07 bitcoin in 12 hours of mining Cheesy  Roll Eyes (~4,5ghs, estimated by p2pool 0,62-0,80/24hr)
*facepalm*
1030  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Cgminer compiling on windows - fail on: November 11, 2012, 01:52:49 PM
Current git also fails. In Makefile.am I change only
Code:
cgminer_CPPFLAGS = -I$(top_builddir)/lib -I$(top_srcdir)/lib @OPENCL_FLAGS@ @LIBCURL_CFLAGS@
to
Code:
cgminer_CPPFLAGS = -I$(top_builddir)/lib -I$(top_srcdir)/lib @OPENCL_FLAGS@
and it is ok.
1031  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: so such a high stale rate? on: November 10, 2012, 10:38:35 PM
One interesting thing is there seems to be certain transactions which slow everyone down.. for example a couple hours ago, around 9am EDT, everyones getWork latency went way up. I wonder what causes those spikes?

http://p2pool.stitthappens.com:8336/static/graphs.html?Day
http://p2pool.hopto.org:9332/static/graphs.html?Day
http://imperium.getmyip.com:9332/static/graphs.html?Day
etc
Probably some huge tx which is send in between all nodes and/or some complicated block.

Anyway, on 8. nov all-time luck went to 99.9%! Really good improvement form less than 90% few months back. Sadly that last over-lengh blocks killing it again... :/

Just use IE to download proper web browser....

I'm not using IE as my main web browser.

Thanks for the useless comment though! Smiley

M

EDIT: Seriously, I'm thinking the content tag can't be added w/o messing up JSON parsers that don't use IE.  That might mean a whole new URL is needed.  Maybe I can figure it out.
Sorry, I mean no offense ... Smiley IE just sux and when s1 is telling that "something is not working on IE" it is mostly IE feature, not a IE bug Tongue

my bitcoind is on a ram drive and has close to 1000 connections.

This doesn't sound good.  You shouldn't have that many connections opened. AFAIK, the network code of the client isn't good, and having so many connections opened may slow down your connection...
Thats too. Se your /static/graphs.html?Hour page and check getwork latency.

Latest cgminer from git doesn't seem to want to do long polling in conjunction with p2pool any more. Pastebin link to log: http://pastebin.com/g3A3z1hb (note line 46, where the long polling URL is sent)

After reverting to 2.8.7 (git checkout v2.8.7), long polling works again.
Thanks, will investigate.
Confirmed, same there on 2.9.1

Okay I don't understand that one bit, but I assume that the build fixes that went in for BSD to compile broke windows. Meh.
I blame this commit:
https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/commit/dc7c57d9c398e7c0e2471cf05ad4b6272171ae8a
Reverted that lines and it works Smiley
