1021  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 11, 2014, 06:33:47 PM
Just spoke with AMT and they are busy trying to get their orders out.

In other words, they haven't shipped squat. They're busy trying to get them to work.

It's been 1 week since AMT supposedly sent my refund. where is it?
Genno dude it is his fault. Someone has to pay for free stakes at the end. Apart of inappropriate jocke  they lied to you that is what think
1022  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 11, 2014, 06:19:04 PM
Also, I was going to post in the AMT site forum, but can't seem to find it. I could have sworn there was supposed to be one today.

Damn, there's something new. AMT not updating their site/user portal/news...

Just spoke with AMT and they are busy trying to get their orders out.  It takes time to test each board and ensure it passes with flying colors.  Testing time is what delays the orders and they need to confirm the equipment is shipped out functional.

For those who would like to build their own units, next time when you place an order, in the comments/shipping field, post a comment that you would like to have the unit come in pieces so that you can assemble it.  It may be quicker to receive it that way.

Where you informed  how many went out already??
It seems they have been doing same thing for a last month or so
Seems another lie dude Wink
either miner is not working or they are hashing with customer units
Fell free to choose what suits you best dear amt customers  Grin
1023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 11, 2014, 02:09:04 PM
i genuine think AMT will deliver.  I think they under estimated the whole thing and trying to dig out.  Its not a good place to be in for them or us.
Its easy to be negative here but try being supportive i believe it can go alone way.

Good luck to anyone who files a suite.  All they have to do is deliver and you have no case all that time wasted.
Not all is wasted. It is not about the money alone. Some words like Dignity and Honesty are not measured by money.

But if measure in USD only best bet will be to get a refund immediately and get your 1T miner in a week from China - CHEAPER

As i said shit happened all the why but i hate dishonest and ....... people

where are the 1th miners from china?

Looks like a scam...  they have too many products to be legit.
Not so sure but any way we are not arguing ias i said i am not sure
there are two more Finland and UK company. In general something is happening with Coincraft chips Cheesy
And finally Ants they go of less than a coin so 5 ants x 180-200Gh equals to Huh? Next day delivery proved

I don't think you can file a suite.

1029  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 130/260 GHs Coincraft A1 board-499/867 EUR March on: March 10, 2014, 06:24:55 PM
Marto did say he was moving to a better way of handling it, instead of poly-fuses, you must have one of the latest boards.

So my question to marto is still opened Smiley

I'd be very greatful if you could give us a power/GH reading from your new board. I suspect poly-fuses weren't very power efficiency friendly.

Sure.
Over the past 16 hours, the board hashed at an average of 221.5 Ghs configured with 240@900mV
The power consumption is very stable at 283 W which means 1.28 W/GHs (with a very low 0.12 % hardware error ratio)

I'll probably make some tests with different settings but I'm not at home for the next week and I prefer to be not far from a board while testing new parameters Smiley Let me know if you'd like me to focus on specific clock/power couples.

Again and as far as I'm concerned, these boards are just awesome !
Delivered right in time, with a fair & right price, I would have bought more if I had not thousands of $$$ in BlackArrow's bank account, waiting for an again delayed delivery...
Congrats dude Wink nice to hear all is good
1030  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC miner monitoring RPC linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.1.0 on: March 10, 2014, 01:42:35 PM
EDIT: Fixed in git, along with an opportunity for a further optimisation.

Any optimizations to help Block Erupters? Still not quite stable for me, 4.x that is.
Oh dear, if they're not good by now, they never will be  Undecided

4.0.x had regressions but there should be no reason 4.1 is any less stable with erupters than any of the best 3.x versions.
By the way commit d1c5bfa5041c4e7b9bfa1be45a4d3bbe1cd45c25 is a killer - reduces cpu a lot.
Thank you VERY MUCH!!!

Hello Con,

I might be wrong but i found a possible memleak in

void roll_work(struct work *work)...

More info

   if (work->ntime)
      work->ntime = offset_ntime(work->ntime, 1);
should be something like

   if (work->ntime) {
      char *memleak = work->ntime;
      work->ntime = offset_ntime(work->ntime, 1);
      free(memleak);
  }

as long as offset_ntime returns new pointer and old work->ntime pointer is lost and never freed on free_work call

PS: consider it as confirmed and fixed Wink My tplinks are a lot mare happy with the above fix. Everything is working fine and most important memory is not leaking

Good catch, looks valid, thanks!

EDIT: Fixed in git, along with an opportunity for a further optimisation.
thanks!!!!

Mr. Opeum2

Your call for the community to come together sounds good but then proclaiming that you are out of here as soon as you get your miner seems a little hypocritical. being from NYC maybe you don't understand the term community. I find a lot of people from the big city feel alone in a crowd.

Also remember, CLennel was once an overeager fanboy much like yourself and AMT turned on him.

nothing personal, just thought I would point out that the community will be here for you in the end if you don't trash the community in the beginning.

Well with the amount of crap being slung around and the unceasing amount of it yea. My goal actually is to start a community that is better moderated. You have a valid point. It is hypocritical of me. BUT when there is ZERO moderation of the community then yea most people including myself will walk away. Gotta pick my battles so to speak. From this particular thread I would have no motivation to stay on it once I got my miners. Point is stick to the topic which is trying to get AMT to post updates while keeping the flamer/trolls away or ignored. that will help this thread get the updates it needs. That is from my understanding the original intent of this thread for updates. Not AMT bashing. There are plenty of other threads and a scam section for that. I like numerous others just want updates. Not ceaseless conspiracies and other things that provide little information on when the miners are arriving.

Probably not a bad idea, like YourPalToots did with the "order" thread. Maybe make an AMT Users  thread for when/if people start getting their miners.

I find it disturbing that so few people (even on other fora) have confirmed getting even the bitfury units. Yeah, I know that people are not under any obligation to do so, but for just about every other mfg/brand that has shipped, there are dozens of people talking about their shiny (or not so shiny) machine. THIS is where my problme lies. The machine they gave me (for which I'm grateful) is obsolete. They should have delivered a boatload of 'em, as the price was decent for what it was and they advertised a lot. Where are the wild machines? I've seen about ten from members here, found ref to maybe ten more using google and other fora.

I would very much like to be wrong on this. I WANT AMT to be a good outfit.
As amt compared them selfs with apple   Grin and they silently admitted most of the work is subcontracted. The only hope for you is they to find right people for the job. Meanwhile time is ticktackingng away. So time will tell if they will found appropriate people at all.
I am starting to wander how they were chosen  to be bitmine partners because:
1. They sold zero coincraft chips Grin
2. They have added Zero to bitmine business in terms of engineering programing or designing terms. Famous AMT engenders are josh and his father probably well known with their engineering skills Grin
3. They have waited long enough to copy bitmine design and despite of bitmine they have not shipped a single nut  Grin
4. While all this happens china borders will flood market with miners ready to mine for 5k almost at chip price. Yeah I know the stolen/legal chip rumors but it will not stop them. Mans this will not stop customers to buy them
5. All the above will drawn their customers and probably amt also. Rio is a fiction
So who cares that reputable US company will be able to make domestic miner delivery in near feature  Grin
Conclusion  .... They a good at Bulgarian psychology and habits, parking tickets and a free stakes Grin
AMT you can make a survey asking the forum members who are most UNsatisfied ASIC customers around the forum
And winner is?Huh BFL or AMT Grin  Grin
All what is left is a good hope and a good will that something gona happen someday

1. WE'VE SOLD MANY COINCRAFT CHIPS TO AMERICAN CUSTOMERS, AND ARE STILL SHIPPING THEM ALL THE TIME. MOSTLY BUSINESSES STARTING TO OR TRYING MAKE MINERS, OR PCB HOUSE THAT ARE MAKING MINERS FOR OTHER CLIENTS. MOST QUANTITIES SOLD ARE IN THE 100-500 RANGE AND NOT LESS.

WE ARE BITMINE'S PARTNER AND THEIR US CHIP DISTRIBUTOR - THIS OUR JOB! YOU CAN BUY THESE CHIPS FROM BITMINE - AMT - AND ZEFIR. WE'RE SURE BOTH BITMINE AND ZEFIR WILL BOTH VERIFY THAT!

2. WE'VE ADDED A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF RESOURCES TO BITMINE, LISTING THEM ONE BY IN THIS THREAD IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND NOT APPROPRIATE IN GENERAL.

3. WE HAVE SHIPPED UNITS. WE JUST HAVE NOT SHIPPED YOU A FREE MINER. AND BECAUSE WE DID NOT SHIP YOU A FREE MINER TO REVIEW, YOU SIT ON THIS FORUM AND TALK TRASH ON THREAD. - ITS BASICALLY BLACKMAIL LOSHIA.

4. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO COUNTERFEIT CHIPS IN CHINA, THESE ARE ONLY RUMORS AND THE PEOPLE THAT BUY INTO THEM WILL BE BADLY BURNT.  THE CHINESE DO NOT HAVE WORKING TERRAHASH MINERS - THEY SIMPLY DONT EXIST, THEY ARE ALL LIES LIKE THE SEVERAL OTHER LIES IN THE FORUM IN THE PAST - LIKE PHEONIX TECHNOLOGIES FOR EXAMPLE. IF THE CHINESE PURCHASED CHIPS FROM BITMINE, US OR ZEFIR - MAYBE THEY'VE BUILT A BOARD AND PUT IT INTO A MINER - BUT THAT HAS YET TO BE SEEN.

5. WE ARE ROUNDING UP OTHER FORUM MEMBERS, THEY WILL COME TO OUR BUILD SHOP AND HELP US ASSEMBLE FASTER - THIS WILL ENSURE THAT OUR LEGITIMACY IS FACILITATED IN STONE ON THIS THREAD. NO OTHER MANUFACTURER HAS DONE THIS BECAUSE OF SECURITY REASONS - BUT AGAIN WE'LL TAKE MORE RISKS AND SHOW THIS THREAD AND THIS COMMUNITY THAT WE HAVE BUILT, CURRENTLY BUILD, AND ARE NOW USING THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BUILD - BITCOIN MINERS.

Dear AMT,

There is a Bulgarian saying that a lie repeated constantly became true. There is another Bulgarian one saying that when rumor arouses telling your sister is a hore you can not explain that you do not have a sister.  No matter how big is your FONT and how loud you are shouting please calm down a little bit Grin As you put me in position to explain that I do not have a sister here are the facts that my sister does not exist:

About your lies
1.   I own you 10 btc of a lost bet about power consuption
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg5104501;topicseen#msg5104501
As we can clearly see you wrote some stupid excuses once again and after that you silently changed your website specs.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg5111538#msg5111538
Can you belie it? Grin You lost a bet never made and you are telling everyone I own you 10 BTC – Call you shrink guy’s. lies lies and more lies. You can continue to repeat them as much as you want
2.   I was asking for a FREE MINER to REVIEW
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg5104501;topicseen#msg5104501
In the same post the GENEROUS FREE offer was made by you I replied as follows
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg5104501#msg5104501

I would be glad to make an review with miner in hand. I know that there is no free lunch so I would like to know what shall I pay in btc and when I will be getting my miner
Do you see me asking or begging a FREE GENNO STAKE?

About your business

1. You have not sold a single bare chip and you have not shipped a single working miner that is all. You are adding zero VALUE to bitmine business. If you think you are adding something in terms of sales or engendering inventories to bitmine business visit you shrink once again and change your pills immediately Grin
2. So get you ass back to work before your positive thinking US customers bring your ass to court Grin
3. As long as you are answering only to my trolling I will ask you to give clear update to your customers and to answer to all of the bellow questions one by one so you can give "some new attitude" of yours posts as suggested by captin crunch Grin Grin

1. Delivery date of your miner? Be so kind and skip the part with lies that you are shipping from two weeks now since no one has received it Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin JUST TELL THE TRUTH! Are you hasshing with customer miners or your are so dum and you can not make them work Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
2. Will it be 5 or 6 module unit. How much TH will you get
3. How much power will it consume very important if you plan to run it at home and you are in US. What psu(s) will be inside over clocking options if any
4. How stable is it
5. Does it work at all - that will be a first thing to ask

Cages with upgradable slots.

This facility is in Bulgaria, as is Joshua Zipkin when he penned this post about 10AM local time.
Probably not in Bulgaria but this is not important at all.
It shows nothing that is what matters Wink

I am wandering if you are American or European?

I'm American.

Americans typically want to support local American companies over foreign companies. I'm sure this is the same for most other countries as well (buying local). This is where AMT has used 'buy American' as a marketing gimmick.

Another thing to mention is that Bulgaria has been mentioned in this thread a LOT more than America has (if that tells you anything).

Heads down dude once again. Unfortunately we Bulgarians are famous with bad things mostly but this is another story. And of course mentioning of Bulgaria tells me a lot of things. Amongst all Joshua is a good learner for sure Wink
But he has to learn a lot Wink
In my arguments here I will never use the argument that he is juish never. I have a good Jutish friends. Besides we Bulgarians probably saved his grand mothers and grandfathers in world war 2. Pathetic if we missed that part the chance for him not to be born at all will be bigger.
There is nothing wrong something to go wrong but be a man and tell the truth....all we get is lies lies and more lies manufacturing engendering and programing these are my favorites. Wink

I agree, the whole 'Made in America' thing is just a marketing gimmick. At the end of the day, would you go with an "American company" if it meant your purchase took 2 or 3 times as long to arrive as the competitions' in China? Probably not, especially in a competitive and time sensitive business like bitcoin mining.

Besides, when I read Josh Zipkin's post I don't think American. I think Bulgarian, using America to make money. There is very little "american-anything" about AMT and their miners. Their updates and communication has been horrid, and so has the build quality and QC of their miners. If anything, their miners look more like something made in a chinese knock-off factory.

Bad business is bad business. If a company is professional and treats their customers with respect, I will give them my money: regardless of where they are located in the world (China/Europe/etc). In this case the fact that AMT is supposedly based out of the U.S.A hasn't done much to get us good updates, communication, or product delivered on time.
Heads down I do completely agree Smiley

AMT

I to would like to give a thumbs up for the pictures and update. It is nice to see signs of production taking place. I think it quells a lot of anxiety around here. Hopefully we will see reports of tracking numbers going out early in the week and you will be on a roll.

I would also like to give 2 thumbs up on your new attitude in your last few post's. Much more professional.

One other suggestion. As you have pointed out and is clear buy the order list that not all of your customers look to this forum for updates. My friend who also bought one of your 1.2th's machines is one of those people. I have been his source of info and am worried about a shoot the messenger type scenario. I would suggest making an e-mail address list of backlogged customers and just give a general update as to the situation and steps you are taking to rectify the problems. Then "send all" and 1 email updates everyone. As orders go out just send out the tracking # and remove their address from that group and your list will be up to date.

I'm sure that would ease your phone issues as well.

Anyway keep up the hard work and lets get some tracking numbers out the door soon
New attitude of their posts?
Do you care if Bulgarians are happy or if Bulgarian girls are pretty? Or if Bulgarians do pay their tickets? Or all the bullshit bla bla spread here and free stakes also:)

What you do care is:
1. Delivery date of your miner
2. Will it be 5 or 6 module unit. How much TH will you get
3. How much power will it consume very important if you plan to run it at home and you are in US. What psu(s) will be inside over clocking options if any
4. How stable is it
5. Does it work at all - that will be a first thing to ask

Hi Zich,

This is my first post and I don't know if I'm doing it correctly but here goes.  I've never use Linux before but
I am trying to set up a couple of Technobit hex16a2's that I just purchased on ebay.  I am using a Raspi loaded with Raspbian.  I followed your instructions concerning loading and patching cgminer 3.12.3 and everything was working well until I tried to apply the patch.  I get an error that states that the patch "unexpectedly ends in the middle of a line" and "only garbage was found in the patch input"  Also I can't find the patch on Technobit's website
Is the file corrupted or am I missing something?  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmm, did you type the command line by line or copy paste?
I bet that some line is miss when you type. You can copy then right click to paste it on ssh

You're right, I didn't realize that you can copy and paste into a terminal till near the end.  I was typing and staring till my eyes bled ;-).  I have now redone lines 5 and 6 with the same negative result.  Maybe I have to start again from scratch and reflash raspbian to remove any transcription errors

I guess line 4 also not right  Roll Eyes

I copied and pasted line 4,5 and 6 and still no joy.  I'm just about to reflash raspbian and start from scratch.  It will go much faster this time

Good luck  Smiley

HI Guys,

I reflashed Raspbian and followed Zich's instructions to the letter by copying and pasting this time and everything was installed correctly.  Thank you for all the help. Cgminer is now running and I filled in my pool details etc (eligius)when prompted.  My problem is that everytime I exit putty cgminer shuts down.  I couldn't see any options so I just click on the x in the top right corner of the window.  I now know that's wrong.  Anyone got a better method?  Thanks again
Start cgminer in screen session then detach it Ctrl+a+d then exit then close putty
In general login via ssh
Type screen if you got error install it
In screen exec cgminer detach and exit

Thanks for the reply.  When I logged in I typed sudo su so I'm in root as super user (thought I had to).  Is there any way to get back to screen session as I don't want to shut down the miner.  Sometimes it takes many restarts to get everything working correctly so I don't want to bail out of this session.
Screen -r
Read screen help and make sure you are reattaching session from same user account
All this stuff is happening in tplink with Thechnobit image. You should give it a try someday Wink

I'm not getting this.  Sorry I feel like a dunce.  I have cgminer running on the Putty terminal.  The only options that I see are to type P,S,D or Q to bring up other options or quit.  If I try to type nothing happens unless i hit one of the keys I just mentioned.  If I type ctrl+a+d holding all keys down at once or any combination of them nothing happens.  I did restart the program so I think I'm in screen but who knows.
Just invest some time reading and some time in trial and errors that is all i can say
Good luck
