1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going to die?? on: October 07, 2014, 11:21:06 PM
I highly doubt the death of bitcoin is on the horizon. The long term fundamentals for bitcoin are stronger than ever. Forget about the short term price swings.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New logo and visual identity for Bitcoin on: October 07, 2014, 11:14:05 PM
I doubt, adoption of a new symbol will take hold at this point. Regardless, it looks nice.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is old 3.5 floppy safer than USB drive for cold storage? on: October 07, 2014, 11:13:19 PM
For transferring, an offline computer with a CD burner is good enough.

For long term storage, engraved metal is the best bet.

Make sure that the metal also has a high melting point to ensure maximum safety in case of fires. Along with a fireproof safe.

Good point.

It certainly is a big story, I don't see it hurting, but only growing the fundamentals for bitcoin. The long term picture for bitcoin is positive.

1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google also gives result like DuckDuckGo on: August 19, 2014, 05:21:00 PM
DuckDuckGoGo is my default search. They are not a better search engine, but they are less of a threat to my privacy.

A trend that more and more people are moving towards. Good to see.
