the online wallet is not working ether right now lol
look like a lot of trouble with this coin

All the online wallets by the original team, Burstnation and the PoCC are working fine and have never had a down time at the time you made this post.

Post your problem with mining in the GetBurst forum. Thats where the miners go and discuss mining related topics.

1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: November 10, 2017, 02:30:58 AM
Burst is finally fighting to get its real market value. I hope we see it among the top 50 by the beginning of next year and then move on to be on the top 20. I heard something that an announcement from the PoCC is something the community would like.

Wait for an announcement from rico666. There will be a new whitepaper and of proof of concept code released before Christmas.

1024  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: November 09, 2017, 03:29:04 AM
Ty hitbtc. I have already informed rico666, one of the lead developers of Burst. He will be in contact with you soon. I hope you get a good impression of him and the project.

From my perspective, you are the next future top exchange and every cryptocurrency that wants to be on top should have their coin listed with you.

Rico666, I posted on the HitBTC thread and asked if they are interested in listing Burst. They replied and said that if the Burst developers are want to know how to have Burst listed, they can contact HitBTC in this email relations@hitbtc.com.

What are we waiting for!
1026  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex withdrawals denied on: November 08, 2017, 03:02:47 AM
I am actually happy that Bittrex is becoming really strict with their ID requirements. For those who arent aware, the darknet has a lot of stolen IDs for sale and they're very affordable. From my perspective, there might be some users on Bittrex that are possibly using fake identities to have their accounts verified.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. Why would I care if people are using fake documents to verify? That's between Bittrex and regulators.

Them becoming stricter just means that Basic Verification is becoming meaningless.

And you're only thinking about the darknet and stolen IDs from one angle. The other angle is this: How can we trust Bittrex to store our data properly? Look at what's happened to Equifax, for instance. Bittrex is just a fly-by-night altcoin exchange. I'd hate sending them my driver's license, SSN, etc. My documents could easily end up on the darknet that way.

You should care because you could be tagged as one of them and Bittrex would then require you to go through the verification process all over again.

US regulators will come after exchanges that dont follow KYC/AML requirements. So Bittrex has no choice but to comply.

Thats another topic.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to keep Bitcoin at the safe place ? on: November 08, 2017, 02:55:41 AM
A cheaper option is to encrypt a USB drive and then use bitaddress.org to generate a wallet. You can use bitaddress.org on the fly on their website but if you are very paranoid then download the wallet generator from their Github and create your wallets in an offline computer. Then cut, not copy, your public address and private key in your encrypted USB drive.

I Agree! bitaddress is the safest platform to keep the Bitcoin at the Safe place.

I know you're here to add posts and activity to your account but I want to emphasize, for the real newbs out there, that bitaddress.org is not a holy grail for securing your BTC. It all depends on the user.

There are wallet security guides available online, just google them.

Unfortunately, I've received word to pause this signature campaign for now. Not sure how long this will be paused for, I will update with that info. Everyone can remove sigs and when this is unpaused, the current participants will all be allowed back. Once again, I apologize for this decision.

EDIT- I've been told this will likely be re opened in 2 weeks.

1030  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GateHub/Segwit2x on: November 07, 2017, 04:04:52 AM
Why Gatehub? Isnt it dangerous to store your coins in a smaller exchange during a hard fork? You can deposit your BTC in bigger and better, not to mention safer, exchanges if you want to dump Segwit2x coins immediately the minute its listed. Read this list and see what exchanges support the fork right away and which ones will support it later.

I have low understanding of economics but I believe we should be watching out for this. I have little idea why investors are "running out money" and where those are all being diverted. Last time something like this happened though, a crash followed. They just kept telling people "It's fine, nothing to worry about" and then the house of cards collapse and we're left out in the cold while they were able to get their money out prior to it.

Its a bubble. The US stock market is in its all time highs and unless theres new money coming in then it cant go any higher and crash. But its normal and its an unavoidable part of the economic cycle. You also want the crash to happen because its another chance for you to create wealth by taking advantage of the low prices.

Maybe theres a glitch in their verification process. Their verifier is a from third party thats also being used by other fiat ewallet solutions.

I think it's more than that. Previously, if they could not verify you based on public records, you could be whitelisted by verifying your mobile phone number. Now, it seems like that is no longer good enough. I'm really glad my Bittrex account is empty; I don't think I'll be going back. I have a basic account, but I absolutely do not trust them to keep my SSN or passport safe.

So, given all the recent changes and account lockings (and the total silence from Bittrex), it's just not worth trading there anymore. I just wish Changelly and Shapeshift (and other similar services) were quicker to add coins.

I am actually happy that Bittrex is becoming really strict with their ID requirements. For those who arent aware, the darknet has a lot of stolen IDs for sale and they're very affordable. I honestly havent used Bittrex since verifying my account but I am happy to tell you that Poloniex's withdawals are now working without any delay.

All you need to do is to contact support and tell them your problem. I am sure they will fix it within 3 days.
1035  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question for LocalBitcoins.com traders on: November 06, 2017, 04:17:20 AM
But... Bitcoin's price never drops to the point where it doesn't recover and go even higher.
Literally all price drops in Bitcoin's history have been temporary.
Should there be a big drop so as to wipe all of the traders profits, they know that all they have to do is wait for the price to go back up, and it will.

Thats true, but alborg is asking hypothetically. We have seen BTC drop 30% of its value very quickly and easily that only lasts by a few trading days and sometimes less than that. It would be good to know what strategy Localbitcoins traders do to mnimize their losses.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: Donation Based Universal Basic Income - Good or Bad? on: November 06, 2017, 04:08:13 AM
I am all for helping our less fortunate neighbors but we have also learned that the tax money held become large enough, the person or the group who controls it will always be vulnerable to corruption.

Why not use an escrow type smart contract for the funds that can be unlocked by a voting mechanism?
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! on: November 06, 2017, 03:39:09 AM
Besides this week's update, theres also some rumors that Burst was added to Prism, its Shapeshift's trustless portfolio market platform. Can anyone confirm if this is true? The platform is in close beta now, but if you are participating in the beta test, please confirm it. Ty.

Weekly Burst Report #10 – 11/05/2017

  • In the sake of organization and transparency, the PoC Consortium is now centralizing its development efforts in one single GitHub page.
  • As you can see here, many commits happened lately. “The wallet is undergoing a major reconstruction”, according to Rico666. Something big could be ahead. The code is currently being refactored to make it better, simpler and more flexible, as well as removing the old NXT occurences.
  • The PoC Consortium is also working on its explorer. This week, they made a small update adding QR codes to accounts’ page, in order to make the explorer a good partner to the mobile wallet.
  • There is now a brand new Burst Visual Identity Guide. Logo and icon usage, color palette, typeface… Everything is in there! This is accompanied by a rebuild of the Logo and Graphics page on burst-coin.org. You can now find “Burst Accepted Here” and “Powered By Burst” images! All marketing resources are now kept on a specific GitHub page.
  • BurstNation released a new software: the Burst Spy Gadget. It allows a user to monitor the blockchain and instantly notify transactions, including asset exchange orders. The notifications will show on your windows desktop just like other applications such as discord or skype. The source code is available on GitHub.
1038  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: November 05, 2017, 05:54:47 AM
HitBTC to cease trading on 17 December 2017 ?

Someone asked in an earlier post "what country is Hitbtc belongs". Well I thought I'd try and find out and it looks like it is a UK company.
On HitBTC's legal info web site there trading name is given as "HIT Solution Ltd" https://hitbtc.com/legal-information .

Now if you search 'Companies House', the register of all UK companies, for "HIT Solution Limited" (Limited is long-form of Ltd) https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09239668/filing-history you find lots of information on the company including the application to dissolve (shut down) the company; see copy of form to dissolve company below.

EDIT: There may be some confusion about the name "HIT Solution Limited" and "HIT Solutions Limited", well there is a "HIT Solutions Limited" registered at Companies House but no "HIT Solution Limited", so why not ? All UK companies must be registered at Companies House and there is no "HIT Solution Limited" registered there.. odd or not ?

But if you search Google for HIT Solution Ltd, you will find other companies bearing the same name located in South Africa, Canada, Australia and more. I also dont think the HIT Solution Ltd you found in the UK is the correct one. HitBTC started on 2013 while that UK company was incorporated on 2014.

Why would you also think that HitBTC shutdown? They are the fastest growing exchange after Bittrex and Poloniex.

Anyhow, hitbtc, what will it take for Burst to be noticed by you and have it listed?
1039  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoin trading app on: November 05, 2017, 04:46:56 AM
Be careful with all unofficial BTC wallets and trading apps for Android, and to some degree IOS apps too. If localbitcoins.com didnt release an official app for the community, then theres no other way to access them but on their website.

I also keep telling everyone to always activate and use 2FA.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC warns that celebrity cryptocurrency endorsements may be illegal on: November 05, 2017, 04:16:55 AM
The key phrase that we should take into consideration is they may be violating the law. It said MAY be violating the law, not IS DEFINITELY or POSITIVELY violating the law. So that takes it in a legal gray area.

Its a warning from the SEC that they can harass you, but from my perspective, they cant do anything else about it. Its a bluff until we witness some celebrity endorser get prosecuted.
This, I think this is just a way for the SEC to say to everyone else, stop doing this or you may get in trouble with us and since no one wants to get trouble with them then I think the days of celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies are going to be over soon, which is not a bad thing since who cares if Paris Hilton is endorsing a project, she does not know anything about crypto and her word means nothing in this forum.

Right. Crypto doesn't need spoiled millionnaires endorsing it. Sec can restrain any celebrity they want and crypto will still rise. It's inevitable. And i can't imagine a celebrity endorsing it in the first place

Didnt Jaime Foxx and Floyd Mayweather start promoting ICO tokens? I want to see the SEC restrain and start prosecuting them just to see if SEC is really serious.

Both of them are superstars who can hire the best lawyers to counter the SEC. The SEC wont risk prosecuting a public figure unless they are sure they will win the case because if the dont win, it will mean that other ICOs can escape prosecution too.
