I think my biggest regret about bitcoin is that I started to know bitcoin last month only because I know bitcoin around a year ago by I completely ignored it. Why now only? If I only started to know about bitcoin a year ago, I know I have already earned a decent amount of bitcoin but I started earning only last month.

As we see the trend of the price of bitcoin, the price is increasing fast. When I jumped in earning bitcoin I think my first time I see the price of bitcoin is at 4k$ and that was last week of august I think or first month of September and now its October and the price now is at 6k already. A 2k increase in just a month so I think its possible that in 2020, it will reach $100,000 or if not at least near that price. Who knows anybody is possible with bitcoin. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Maybe one reason why they keep converting bitcoin into dollars is because they want to buy something and that thing can't buy with bitcoin. That's the reason I know why they keep converting. One thing too I think is because they want to feel the money they have that's why they are converting digital money into physical money.

Its simple. Investors believe that bitcoin will increase its price despite of having a low price. They know that when bitcoin's price will go down, there will be a time that it will go up immediately. They don't panic instead they only hold it because they are thinking of a long term investment.

Hello, After successfully predicting BTC moves in 2016 here on the forum, I have a new set of 2017 predictions that I'm using to trade the current move. 1. Rise to $1,200-$1,300 (Current move) 2. Correction to $800-$900 level and range trading for a while 3. Rise to $1,500 4. Correction to $900-$1,000 and range trading for a while 5. Continued rise to $2,000 by end of year tldr; BTC will double this year after making a couple of moves up and down. Your prediction is 2,000 by end of the year and at this moment, we can see the price of bitcoin goes up to 5,700$. its almost 300% higher than what you predicted.

A documentary here in the Philippines entitled: FAILON NGAYON have exposed Bitcoin as a type of scam. It goes like this: a callcenter agent guy invested on one of the sh*tcoins here. He invested a fair amount of money into it as a promise projection of 50% gain for about 3 months. After 3 months have passed and he was about to withdrawn the money, support system from that UK based comoany was suddenly became unresponsive. Financial analyst said that bitcoin is being used by some scammers to phish for money from users through untrusted sites. I think that due to anonymity, it is very hard to track down those people who uses bitcoin for scamming. For me, I think you just invest amount ofnmeny that you can afford to lose. Secondly, just transact with secured sites and not fall for get rich quick schemes because most likely thisnis a scam. What are your thoughts on this?
Its not the fault of the bitcoin itself but the investor. He didn't research about the company he joined and just invested there. Its obvious that its a HYIP scheme 50% in 3 months without doing anything. He didn't think of it and just throw the money away. Its his fault. Be wise in where you put your money next time.

Don't explain it to them. Let them explain it to themselves. There are so many proofs in the internet that bitcoin is not a scam, a ponzi, or a hyip scheme and one thing, many people saying one thing as a scam but they don't know the definition of scam themselves or just never mind them. Let them think it.

Hi,
If i have 100USd now what should I invest it in to make about 5% everyday?
I don't think you can get what you want which is 5% everyday profit with your 100$ investment. Maybe with gambling you can but think twice before you do it. Invest your 100$ in bitcoin and think of a long term goal not everyday goal and you will see your profit.

1. Do not invest your own money
Since most businesses are risky, seek partners. So, if things do not go all the way, you will not go bankrupt because of the start-up funds, and not pursued debt.
2. Work hard
If you are not willing to work hard, overtime, forget personal gain and health, then entrepreneurship is not for you. At first, you definitely will not be able to pay employees, even if the employees are cheap. So, your employees are your own.
3. Use the latest technology
New technologies such as software and data storage with small companies are able to compete with large companies. Take advantage of low cost technologies on the market.
4. Respect the time
Rate the money in your time, for example Rp20 thousand per hour. This will help when you have to make a decision: If a store charges Rp10 thousand for shipping every week, and it takes you 2 hours to go to the store itself, then pay for the postage from the company, because it is cheaper.
5. Realistic
When creating a business model, look around and look for a successful example of the business model you want, then learn. If you can not find, whether you are an incredible genius, or your business model will not work in the real world.
6. Sell excess, not price
You start a business, you are naturally frustrated marketing it. But, if you compete on the price, you will end up selling at barely or even under capital. Master the skills of communicating with customers, to explain that your product price is higher because it has a better value
I agree with the ones you said but one thing to consider is the location I think. Find a location that have many customers around. Even you have that 6 things to consider if you are starting a business in a place where you don't know the location, its useless. So before you start a business, find a good location where you will start your business. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ?? and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
I think for me it is an asset at the same time currency. Why? The definition of asset is anything that can be converted into cash and another definition of asset is anything that can give you income. Bitcoin can be converted into cash and it can give you income too in many ways. Currency's definition is generally accepted form of money. Some establishments now are accepting bitcoin as a payment so its also a currency. So for me its both an asset and currency.

Has anyone taken a course online on sites like Udemy to learn about bitcoin? I just received a coupon to enroll in a bitcoin course for free. Would it be worth the time? If anyone has any experience, do share.
For me I think its not necessary that you will buy a course online line in Udemy because anything about bitcoin is already in the internet. You just need to search it at google or watch it at youtube but if you want to go to Udemy to buy online courses. I think it will be ok too.

So I've been involved in Bitcoin and crypto for about 5 months now and just about everyone I tell about it being friends and family most have never heard of it or the few that have they have no understanding of it so I was just curious into how others explain it all to total newcomers is their a webpage or video you may show for an easy understanding to explain it all ? Whenever I give my explanation it seems to go way over their head ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Cheers I think the best way is to not explaining it to them directly instead, let them watch video with you at his/her side. In that way, it will be explained properly. Don't explain it if you don't have enough knowledge about bitcoin and know it if they are really interested in learning bitcoin. But if you want to explain it by yourself, I think just share what you only know and let the 2 of you learn together.

Bitcoin is money definitely. What is the definition of money? its a current medium of "exchange" in the form of coins and banknotes. There is a word there exchange. Some people now are buying things now thru bitcoin so they give their bitcoin in exchange into things they want to buy. Some called bitcoin as asset but assets are money too so definitely, bitcoin is money.

I think it will be good to live in a country that has bitcoin as the official currency but at present, I think I will not live in that country because bitcoin hasn't been used in the world or by many people.

I think you can use it without understanding but you will have a limitation in what you can use. Its better to have knowledge about bitcoin and about cryptocurrency as a whole. It will help you understand the world of crypto. Have some knowledge that will help you understand more about bitcoin. Good luck.

Its a big achievement for bitcoin to reach the $6,000 mark. This is a proof that even china banned bitcoin in their country, bitcoin doesn't care. As days passed by, more and more are using bitcoin and there is a chance that the price will be higher at the end of the year so lets wait for it and create another thread about the price of bitcoin next year. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

First of all, how can you create a movie about a creator that is shrouded in mysteries? Maybe a movie about bitcoin can be created but a movie about satoshi is impossible. Where can you get the details about the creator that we don't know if its a single person only or a group or a company. A movie will be created once the real creator appears in public.

I don't think teaching bitcoin to the kids these days is a good way. There are kids that only want to play games outside and there are some kids that are trained to become a good singer or good dancer or a good painter etc. Don't teach bitcoin into the kids let them know themselves. Yes, its possible to teach it but at the young age. I don't think they will want to learn it too. Bitcoin will distract the kids from their studies.
