1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i earn from NFTs and Game on: April 30, 2024, 07:11:35 AM
~
What do you think about this project? Is it something that has long-term potential, or is it just another hype? Would you consider investing in it? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
To answer your question, yes you can still earn from NFT games out there "ONLY" if you will invest on it. There's no such thing as free money anymore like what happened with Axie Infinity last 2021. That's long gone already... or not because you might still earn from some games if you're good at it. In Axie Infinity, in order for you to earn from the game, you must be on the leaderboard. For free? Yes, if you know somebody and you can borrow their team and be good at it.

As for the project itself, I've seen this project being promoted on Bounties section, but didn't take some time researching it though. NFT games in general are a no-no for me already. I'm done with it. I lost some money investing on them in 2021 and I will not do it again. The project? It might have some long-term potential depending on the developers themselves. Hype? The hype around NFT games are long gone already and because of that, there might be a chance that this project might not become that popular anymore.

Advice you said? Stay away from it and focus on better projects. There are many out there. Just spend some time researching on it. Smiley

Fun fact: That piece of paper is up for auction I think![/center]
I can't remember of the exact price, but I think that paper has been sold for around $1.7M. Correct me if I'm wrong with the price.
Anyway, I also did write something on a piece of paper last 2017, and it says "Buy Shitcoins". Can I also sell it as well? I might be a millionaire if I will do it. Cheesy

Kidding aside, I believe that many here already bought their Bitcoins, and as much as I want to hold all of them, I will sell a huge portion of it, and I might keep a bit of it just for the long-long term (or maybe a gift for the future Cheesy). Nevertheless, for those who didn't buy Bitcoins yet, I would also urge you to buy some Bitcoins and from there, you make a decision and a strategy for it. My strategy is simple. Sell during the bull market, re-buy during the bear market while keeping a portion of it. Cheesy

Buy, Sell and Hold. 3 things that we should do with Bitcoin. I will not disagree if some here choose to buy and hold it for a long time. It's just me sharing my own strategy. Cheesy

Re: Bitcoin halving is hours ago. Will you hold your BTC to April 2028?
Hell NO!!!!
There might be some who are holding their Bitcoins for a very long time already, and there's nothing wrong with it. For me, it's better to take profits during the bull market, reserve a portion of the money that you got, keep it and use it to re-buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies during the bear market.

I already experienced losing huge profits when I decided to hold my Bitcoins in 2021 instead of selling it. I mean I'm just an average investor that's why I'm completely disappointed on myself when I made that decision, but I took that lesson and promised that I will not do it again. Now we have another opportunity to take some profits again. I will not lose this chance this time so to answer the question, I will not hold my CURRENT Bitcoins that I'm holding until 2028, but I will re-buy Bitcoins during the bear market and that's the Bitcoins that I will hold until 2028.

Different investors, different strategies, and as long as you are making money from it then there's nothing wrong. Smiley
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 30, 2024, 05:44:46 AM
I read that Jamal Murray may not play for game 5 due to calf strain so how do you see this? Will it be 3-2? Calf strain is also a nasty injury so I think he will continue to struggle even if he forces himself to play. This is probably a good news for the bettors and fans of Lakers to recoup previous losses as they are still the underdog @3.1

Not good for the Nuggets, but they still are up 3-1 so I guess they are not yet on the panic button here. Yeah, calf and hamstring strain are worst kind of injury, even if you are not a basketball player, if you feel pain in your calf, hard to stand up and walk.

Yeah, probably there will be a shift or at least the Nuggets gap will be close out by the Lakers backers. It's now @2.17 for the Lakers so money are pouring with them. But let's see, I think the Nuggets will still be find and can adjust themselves as they have proven it time and time again that even with Murray they can win games.
2 game winners + a poster on Lebron James. That's what Jamal Murray did on this series. I also thought that he will not play, but it's the playoffs and as long as you can play, you will play because it's the title that is on the line on that game 5. The Nuggets won behind Murray's game-winning shot "AGAIN". 2 game-winning shots in one series is pretty rare, yet Murray did it.

TBH, he's one of the most underrated players and they disrespect him so much. Heck, he didn't even experienced being on an all-star game. Nobody's talking to much about him because when you say Nuggets, the first thing that comes to their mind is Jokic, and they forget about him. Well for me, they're the best duos right now in the league. Anyway, the Nuggets ended the series in 5 games, and they will be facing the Timberwolves in the 2nd round.

This would be an exciting match-up and a rematch as well. How can they defend Joker? How can they defend Edwards as well. This is an interesting match-up, and I will not make a prediction because it's hard to make one TBH. Cheesy
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there strategy to make profit daily future trade on: April 30, 2024, 05:35:36 AM
I have good knowledge with crypto future
I get signals from groups on telegram

But i got idea to make profit daily

I choose some coins potential raise and open long  positions on them and hold

For day until i get profit.. Is this good idea or let me know if there better idea
The 1st part of your post alone is enough for me to tell that you're lying.
Good knowledge with futures trading, but relying on signals on telegram? You can't trick us LOL!!!.

Daily profit through futures trading isn't impossible, but it's hard. Potential coins? Do you think that potential coins can just give you daily profits like that easily? When I did futures trading in the past, I only focus on Bitcoin which we consider as a coin with a huge potential, and yet I lost money on it. The potential of the coin doesn't matter. It's your knowledge, and your strategy matters.

Your idea isn't a good idea, and many will agree with me. Better idea? Maybe expert traders can help you - that is they will share their strategy. Cheesy

Re: Why are more people getting excited about memecoins?
Profits. That's all.
You only think those people who are getting excited about meme coins, but the reality is that there are many losers than winners in investing into meme coins. Profits is the main reason why many people are excited to invest into it, but that desire to get more profit is also the reason why many people also lose their money investing into it.

I didn't read your post because I knew it already that it will be an indirect promotion on a particular shitcoin. Meme coins became the hype already for months and it seems like there's no stopping it especially now that many are expecting for a bull market to happen. Nevertheless, I would advise investors especially those newbie investors to avoid investing into new projects especially meme coins like this one.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What did you think about the future of dogecoin? on: April 30, 2024, 02:08:02 AM
What did you think about the future of dogecoin?
Is it going to do well in the future?
The reason why I'm saying this is because I'm holding dogecoin, did you think I should keep holding it?
Right now, you shouldn't hold it at least for the whole bull run.
Sell it during the bull run and buy it again during the bear market.

That for me is the best strategy that you can use if you are holding a coin especially now that we might be entering the bull market. DOGE has been the OG of meme coin so I'm excluding it for meme coins that I consider as "SHITCOINS". It being the first meme coin and being at the top for quite some time makes it a good coin to hold. Add also the fact that it has a huge community supporting it as well.

I'm not holding DOGE for now and I don't even have a plan on buying it for the long term as well, but basing on the history, I guess it's still a good coin to hold for mid to long term.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post halving investing strategy. on: April 29, 2024, 02:58:28 AM
So in summary investing in BTC at this point in time should be our priority and other promising altcoins. And also taking Risk management strategies just incase the market becomes unfavourable.
Prioritizing investing into Bitcoin is for me the best strategy when it comes to investing in crypto. The rewards are lower though, but the risk is lower as well. Based on the history of Bitcoin, its price goes up significantly 12-18 months after the halving event, and even though there are some who thinks that the event is causing its price increase, many believe that it is since the inflation goes down due to the rewards cut down to half hence, supply rate decreases.

Anyway, since we might be entering the bull market a few months from now, I guess it's worth risking some of your money into some lower market cap coins. What I mean when lower market cap coins are those that are at the top 51-100 in Coingecko. Right now, that's what I'm doing because I believe that altcoins are more volatile than Bitcoin thus, it gives higher reward than Bitcoin. I did some research of course, and for sure many can do the same as well.

Overall, risk management is always a factor when it comes to investing. If you can't handle the risk investing into some meme coins, shitcoins, or new projects out there, better invest into Bitcoin and other top altcoins. Learn when to sell as well, and have some selling targets. Smiley
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet Staking Rewards For LUNC Is 38% on: April 29, 2024, 02:31:52 AM
After what happened to the project, I don't know how the hell this project is still developing like nothing happened in the past.
Second chance? I guess so because there are still many people supporting the project. I mean like what the post above me said, the project still has a market cap of $600M even though it has a bad history that caused huge losses to a lot of investors.

Atomic on the other hand faced a hacking incident in the past so how can you trust them to hold your assets just for a mere 38% yield. Take note that it's on a coin that has a bad history. A wallet that has a history of hacking, and a project that's indirectly rug pulled their investors. How can you trust them? Just avoid it at all costs. Avoid buying the coin itself and avoid staking it on their wallet. There are far better ones out there.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: April 29, 2024, 02:12:56 AM
If you are trading, you should not consider it as a job. You need a reliable job. Trading is risky like gambling and it should not be seen as a job.
I guess it depends on the situation.
I would agree with what you said that trading can't be a reliable job since the income isn't stable, but there are some factors that might affect that one.

Let's say for example, a trader is making 5 digits on a monthly basis just by doing trading. Yes, there are times where he lost money in trading since no one can predict the market with 100% accuracy, but at the end of the month, he's making money like other employees. Do you still need to have a "RELIABLE" job if you know yourself that you are making money in trading "CONSISTENTLY"?

As much as I don't want to consider trading as a job, there are some traders especially those expert ones that took trading as their full-time job already just because they're earning in it. Some might even earn more than most of the employees who are working 8 hours per day. At the end of the day, it all depends on the situation.

Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project?
No. Whatever happens, don't invest into a new project especially if you're a newbie.
Well, you can still invest in a new project as a newbie since it's your own money, but it's not advisable because of the risk a new project has.

New project can just rug pull very quick if they wanted to. Even old projects can just rug pull its investors if they wanted to. New projects have a high chance of it being a scam, and as a newbie, it isn't a good thing because if you're starting and you got scammed at your first investment, there's a chance that you might stop investing anymore because of the experience that you got.

As a newbie, I would suggest to just focus on old projects, or at least those top coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum and other top coins in terms of market cap. It's good that you joined the forum because you will learn here even more with regards to cryptocurrency. Aside from the forum, YouTube is a good tool as well for you to learn more. Just avoid investing into new projects for now if you're a newbie.

Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin
Only a maximalist will do this. Holding Bitcoin, and Bitcoin only? Only they can do that.
As for most of us here, we might've a huge allocation on Bitcoin, but we aren't holding Bitcoin alone instead, we are holding some altcoins as well for profit.

You don't trust those top altcoins? You only trust Bitcoin because it's the top cryptocurrency, or because it's decentralized or whatever. I don't think that's a good argument to start with. I will not say a specific altcoin, but I don't think that not trusting them at all is good because after all, we need to diversify at least our portfolio to increase our earnings. At the end of the day, we including Bitcoin will all be sold for profits. Some altcoins can be a good long term hold as well especially those top coins.

Don't fantasize Bitcoin and tell here that it's the only coin that we can trust. Well there might be some here who only focuses on Bitcoin, and telling to other people to only buy Bitcoin just like what OP is doing, but we have different strategies in investing, and buying Bitcoin as well as altcoins is what works for me. 13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: April 28, 2024, 09:29:40 PM
No use-case = a no-no for me.

Like what others said here, it's only a meme coin. A community token that just came out of nowhere and got at the top 50 in terms of market cap. TBH, I don't know why and how it happened, but aside from DOGE, all of the meme coins even the top ones are the ones that I will be avoiding. I might be wrong as well and we might see SHIB as the one of the most famous meme coin 5-10 years from now aside from DOGE of course. We might see what other SHIB holders are dreaming of - to reach a penny (which is obviously not gonna happen Cheesy).

Or it will just remain to the current value it has right now?
It will not remain. It's price will go higher the same as what the other coins are doing. If it's price remain stagnant and will remain at it's current value, it will lose it's spot on the top like what happened with other altcoins in the past. It might happen with SHIB as well, but with such a huge community behind it, I doubt it will happen. Huge community = huge support.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: April 28, 2024, 09:15:26 PM
~
Reason for all these questioning, I have a dream of becoming a long term bitcoin holder but, dreams aren't achieved with words alone, an action is needed for the start up, so I have decided to sell one of my less used phone for the purpose of buying bitcoin.
I'm really eager to purchase my first bitcoin in satoshi.
It's good to hear that you created an action, and not only planned.
There are some investors who are planning, planning and planning, but when they want to do it, they chooses not to in the end because they can't bear the possible risks that they can face. They are afraid of the possible losses that they can get when they invest into Bitcoin. Kind of unfortunate TBH.

You're not the only one who sold something just to have some money that can be used to buy Bitcoin. You started it already. I would suggest that you should continue doing it, but I don't recommend doing it for now or when we enters the bull run. I'm not saying that you can't get profit anymore, but the time to buy Bitcoin is during the bear market which can happen sometime in 2026 (if the 4-year cycle happens again).

Didn't saw that this thread was created last year but it's relevant anyway. I just hope that you're still holding those Bitcoins OP. Cheesy
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profit evaluation – Hodl instead of mining on: April 28, 2024, 08:56:44 PM
~
Hosted miners or Cloud Miners are even charging a fee to set up and operate mining devices which will decrease your mining rewards even more but you won't have to care for technical details to set it up and maintain it.
Cloud miners? Is that even exists until now? When I'm starting to learn more about crypto, I tried joining on a cloud mining website through the satoshis that I'm getting on multiple faucets. Turns out, it isn't profitable and will never be. Exclude this one.

If you will try to start both, of course holding would be the best option since in order for us to start mining, we need a huge capital. If you don't want to get stressed on maintaining your mining facilities, just buy Bitcoin and hold it. Mining is profitable depending on what equipment you are using and your electricity bill, of course, but for me who doesn't want to get stressed that much, I'll just buy and hold Bitcoins.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 28, 2024, 03:29:33 PM
Lebron's legacy will be great if he can manage to bring the team to another win and at least force a game 6.
Why not push a game 7? Grin

We like to see that but it's almost impossible. The Lakers winning one game might be the only game they can win. It's different when the game is played in Denver because the crowd will be fully supportive to the home team on a close out game. Denver can't afford to miss the opportunity to eliminate the Lakers because  if they'll give hope for another game, I'm afraid game 7 will happen.

Let's not be too hype with what the Lakers had done in game 4, after all, the series is still in 3-1
~
The Celtics almost did it last year when they are down 0-3 against the Heat. If Tatum didn't only got injured at the first minute of Game 7, they might be the first team who overcame a 0-3 deficit. They're just one win away, but an injury spoiled the possible finals match-up with the Nuggets, and the possible history.

Anyway, I predicted at the start of the playoffs that the Nuggets will use the *broom, broom* against the Lakers, but it seems like it wasn't the case. Nevertheless, I congratulate the Lakers, and the Laker fans out there, and even though I'm not a fan of either team, I believe that the Nuggets will finish this on their next game. It's good that in this game, Lebron and AD found the help they needed offensively since Reaves and Russell stepped up on offense. The problem with them especially with Russell is his consistency. Can he sustain it for 3 more games knowing that he didn't scored in Game 3? Lebron and AD are very productive all throughout the series, but them alone can't finish the job, and they need help from other players especially on offense.

Anyway, enough with the talk because the Nuggets will finish this in Game 5. The Nuggets are simply too strong for them, and I know many will agree on it.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 27, 2024, 10:13:58 PM
^ I don’t think the Nuggets will be giving the Lakers anything. I think they want another sweep over LeBron to send a message. This will be an interesting game to watch though. I don’t think the Lakers win, but the thing to watch will be DeAngelo Russell and what sort of effort he brings to the table after seemingly checking out of the last game.
Even in Stake website, the Lakers have 2.44 odds while the Nuggets have 1.59.
It's their home court and yet, bettors already know that the Lakers doesn't stand a chance to win against the defending champions.

11 straight losses, led by double-digits at one point in all 3 games, but eventually blew it all out. That's what the Lakers are. Their coach is very uncompetitive and don't know what he's doing like he's an inexperienced coach, Lebron and AD are the only 2 players that are carrying the team offensively, but they need help from other teammates as well. The problem though is that there's no help from other players. Russell who is their supposed 3rd scorer scored 0 pts in a crucial game.

I already predicted even before the playoffs that the Nuggets will sweep the Lakers if they face each other and right now, they're one win away from doing it "AGAIN". I just miss their 2020 roster when they won in the bubble. That roster is their best one ever since Lebron went to LA. 3 7-footers at that time is enough to defend Jokic. Now, Jokic is just toying with AD (the player who said that he's one of the best defenders in the NBA right now Cheesy).
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 27, 2024, 09:52:54 PM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it?
I don't think there's no reason why not to accept it so, yes, I will accept it.

What are the risks? Hacking? As an investor, it's your responsibility to take care of your coins and that includes the USDT that you will get. De-peg? I can't remember the last time USDT de-pegged, so the chances of it happening is kind of low, but not impossible as well.

What I would do though is to convert it immediately either into different altcoin (or Bitcoin), or into our own fiat currency. I don't think that there's any company that implemented this though. I don't think that there's a company that pays their employees through USDT and now USD or their own fiat currency.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? on: April 27, 2024, 07:31:07 AM
Are you increasing your bitcoin investments because of today halving ? For how long do you plan to hold this new investment from here on.
I'm increasing my Bitcoin investments, but not because of the halving event, but because I believe that after the event, we will enter the bull run.

Just basing on the history of the price of Bitcoin, its price goes up significantly a few months after the halving event. I also believe that most of the investors are stacking up some Bitcoins as of this moment so that they can sell it a year from now or during the bull market. As for how long I plan to hold my Bitcoins, I will only hold all of my Bitcoins during the bull market because anytime at that time, I will sell all of it... or at least most of it. I already set my selling targets, and I will follow them no matter what happens. I don't want to do the same mistake that I did in 2021 again.

As for others out there, try to increase your Bitcoin positions as much as possible. There is still a chance for you to earn profit at least. If you believe that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 this time, then you can still make at least 20-30% depending on what time you bought it. You just need patience, the risk your money.

Re: Will MemeCoins Fuel the Next Crypto Craze?
Yes? No? Maybe?
I mean anything can happen during the bull run or in this case, the crypto craze that OP said.

Last bull run, who would've expected that NFT games, and NFT pictures will be that popular to a point where everybody (including me) is investing into it? No one expected it to happen, but it is what it is. If I will say any category that might fuel the next bull run like what NFT did during the last bull run, it will be AI coins and RWA coins. I don't know why, but they might be the one that will fuel this crypto craze OP is saying. As for meme coins, it's a big part of the crypto space knowing that most of them are being called as "community coins" however, I don't see them doing the same as NFT did last bull run. What's sure though is that meme coins will increase in price during the bull market.

Anyway, I might be wrong though and we might see many meme coins projects in the future but for now, it's AI and RWA that I'm seeing.
