Stunna did it for all members for the first time last period. Not sure if he was trying to get an edge with dishing out feedback or not though haha. It's nice to be rewarded with feedback, but I wouldn't expect it from sig operators. I think it kinda devalues the meaning of it if you dish it out to everyone just for participating. Maybe giving it to top quality posters with no spam etc would hold more weight.

How come Hero or Snr Members can only reserve places? If everyone can't reserve a place it's not fair really. It should be first come first served though. Many people who reserve might just find another deal or never sign up and that takes a place from someone else.
Edit: Is the max participants 30 total? I guess you're wanting more higher members to join?
It's fair by the rulles of bitcointalk. Then by that logic scamming is fair by the rules, but it doesn't make it right.

The make and model shouldn't matter about compatability. Just check the Ubuntu site for ram issues as it should tell you what minimum specs you need.

You might be waiting a while. Why do you have to wait until you're a millionaire to start watching stuff? HBO content added to Amazon Prime!! woooooohoooooo!
Just started watching boardwalk empire, pretty awesome so far.
I recommend watching The Sopranos and Six Feet Under. Two of my favourites.

no intrinsic value. the value is in the network, which is not inherent.
Its not right to say that Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, it needs a lot of hardware and electricity to "manufacture" bitcoin thus Bitcoin's intrinsic value is electricity + hardware ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . That's still not intrinsic value though, but I think people put too much importance on whether something has intrinsic value or not. It doesn't matter as long as it obviously has value.

What that post showed me, was that there is only 1 signature program cattering for "newbies" and "Jr Members"
Do these people have no voice? Or do their voice carry no value?
I have seen many "newbies" and "Jr members" giving very good advice on this forum, and they not getting rewarded.
Should there not be a incentive for "new" people to join this forum? {Forum moderators can simply delete spam}
Now do not bite my head off, I have a right to my opinion.
Back when I signed up to these forums anyone could sign up to a sig deal, all you needed was ten posts (I think?) to have a link in your signature, but it was changed about three months ago or so. It's not that newbs don't have a voice or anything valid to say but that their signature size/noticability is now severely restricted.

It would be pointless having an entire forum just to post and click each others links. Don't you only get dust from them anyway? I'm sure there are some forums out there that allow ref spam, but this one doesn't.

I would argue that it has intrinsic value because people choose to hold it and transact using it Usage gives it inner value
That's not the definition of intrinsic value though. It has value for sure, but I wouldn't say it's intrinsic, just like the value of paper money isn't.

The remittance market could be huge for Bitcoin and I think could see a very rapid growth if it catches on. This is why BitPesa was created; the service’s beta, which currently involves roughly 15 Kenyans living in London, will seek to test the success of the newly implemented remittance service. If successful, BitPesa may eliminate the billions of dollars currently lost in the fees of the trade. Its founders believe that if the program is well-received that it could go as far as to spark a major technological upsurge throughout Kenya. Nice to see it's some of their own countrymen starting this service. Hopefully they won't try rob people by charging extortionate but slightly less than the banks/western union fees.

It'd be interesting to know how much they saved on fees by using Bitcoin and not credit cards or PayPal. It looks like Byrne is wearing priest's garb in that picture (at least it does on my phone) ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) .

You're saying Bitcoin has only just been listed on a wiki about cryptocurrencies? And I don't really think this should be in press. There's no press article; it's more of a service announcement / update.

Hmm... Not sure about that. It'd seem pretty out of place there. Personally I'd put it in Goods but would like clarification from a mod.
I will create a rep thread at some point but I actually need to sell some shit first haha. This is one of the reasons why I want to put a link to my threads in my sig. Threads get buried and forgotten about there pretty quick, and this will constantly advertise them, so then people can just look and bump whatever they're interested in themselves.

I'm talking about the part at the bottom that just seems to be a mishmash of various threads?
Also, I want to create a thread linking to all of my listings on the marketplace so I can put a link in my signature to it. 99% of the listings are physical goods, but there's one or two that are/will be digital. Which forum would this go in? Would it be ok in Goods or maybe just the Marketplace section since it's a combo? I may advertise/list additional services I can provide at a later date as well, so please bear that in mind.

Seems a bit of a specialist item for these forums. You'd be better off just finding them elsewhere, and if you really wanted to use BTC to purchase them request here if somebody would buy you them and have 'em shipped to you. Out of interest, how much do they actually cost?
And this should be in the goods section too.

Full Member accounts seem to go for up to 0.2, but if they had green positive trust and/or an avatar you could probably get a bit more for them. Depends on the activity points as well. The closer it is to a Snr Member level then that will obviously add value.

It probably doesn't matter. Just use the latest version you already have. If your computer is just old and running slow then it might not help, so best just to give it a go as you've got nothing to lose and see what happens.

People should be quite rightly sceptical of these threads as they're scams 99.9% of the time and there's no way for anybody to verify your story unless your provide some proof.
If it's true then it's a shit situation, but as harsh as it may sound this is nobody else's business or problem than your own. As others have mentioned, why don't you try hitch hiking or put an advert on a website asking for a lift there with somebody who might be travelling in that direction? There are probably many websites for carpools/car sharing that you could use and that would probably be a more productive use of your time.

Do we know if this was even serious, or could it have just been a joke?
I'm sure there are thousands of phony and silly deaththreats issued everyday on twitter, but the authorities usually take them pretty seriously. People really shouldn't be making deaththreats regardless of their true intent though.
