4  Other / Meta / Re: Sig campaign doesn't pay in bitcoin.... on: April 26, 2024, 07:31:10 AM
LoyceV posted something close but not anything saying you cannot post a campaign paying in altcoin.
I'm curious where you read that:
Services provided/demanded on-forum for Bitcoin.
It literally says it's for Bitcoin services, and I've reported many topics over the years saying "Non-Bitcoin service", after which they got moved (or deleted). There's no need to say it's not for altcoins, altcoins are not Bitcoin.

Correct. If it doesn't pay in bitcoin it belongs elsewhere just like if threads don't pay in some sort of crypto at all threads are trashed.

8  Other / Meta / Re: What caused my post to be deleted? on: April 19, 2024, 12:20:05 PM
I got an email that one of my replies got deleted in Scam accusation forums. The topic was about Adswage but I was not given specific reason on why it was deleted and I locked the topic. When I tried to reply to moderator on message on why the post was deleted. was blocked. That is not a professional behaviour of moderator to delete the reply and block someone.

First of all, know that you have no right to question the moderator why he delete your post, they are given the responsibility of doing such when they find out that a post is off topic or do contain a malicious content as link or wrong information's, you cannot as well appeal it, you cannot be the one to judge for quality post in this context, the person seeing it will determine if it worth it or not, if you read very careful on the notification you received, you would have understand better the reason for doing that.

This isn't true. Users are free to question any mod action.

Mine get deleted from time to time. Rarely a reason given. It’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You either did something wrong or stumbled onto something you shouldn’t have.

It would be preferable if mods could leave a note on why a post was deleted and it's something I've requested before.

A funny statistic might be the most censored users. The people who have had the most posts deleted by moderators.  Cheesy

That award should be the biggest shitposter  Grin.

Probably Off Topic but a mod will move it if it's better elsewhere.

11  Other / Meta / Re: What is the policy regarding AI generated images on the forum? on: April 14, 2024, 10:00:33 AM
As long as it's posted along with some other substantial content I don't see an issue with it. Just posting a sole image might not be ok, unless it was in a thread merely about AI images or something, but you could maybe state that the image was AI generated if you were worried.
12  Other / Meta / Re: AI generated content by newbies on: April 11, 2024, 04:59:45 PM
Just seen this but I just suggested in the Staff sub that some sort of AI detection should be implemented on the forum which auto scans a user's post and notifies them if AI has been detected etc. If something isn't done about it half the board is just going to be AI responses. It's not even Newbies that are doing it but some lazy higher ranked members trying to rinse sig campaigns with no effort.

I'm personally not against such a feature, but... To have posts automatically scanned, you need to choose a service that will do this. Today, almost all services for detecting content written by AI are far from perfect. Which one should you choose if all of them can produce erroneous detection? There will be a large number of threads on Meta with outrage from users who disagree with their posts being labeled as AI-written. At one time, by the way, I gave examples of AI text detection services mistakenly recognizing innocuous text as AI text.

Is there a superior one? What you could have is it just alerting the user that their post had been detected at whatever percentage and to urge caution before posting or only consider posting if they haven't used an AI tool.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Option to Allow / Restrict merits on the OP Posts on: April 11, 2024, 01:01:48 PM
I don't think this is necessary or needed. How many times are people going to not want merit. If someone feels a post is notable then let them have the opportunity to say so with merit.

The following is the thread that's generated with AI AI generated thread, and I have already reported that thread to moderators and administrators so that they could remove that thread.

Can we have a feature where the AI generated content automatically get flagged as AI generated content so the reputed members may not reply to that post/thread and just report it when they see that flag. I mean if it's possible to make a patch where users get information about AI generated content then they may not waste their precious time in replying to such posts/thread which aren't written by a human but are generated by bots. I need your valuable feedback and I also want to know that is it even possible to make a patch that could flag such content?

The posts were merged for multiposting.

What is strange is why someone is going to report posts that are almost 4 months old due to posting multiple posts in a row - are such old posts handled despite the new rule?

What seems to me is that the OP together with at least one other account (@bettyonline4656) wants to create the impression of a discussion in which he wonders if something is legitimate, and by some miracle newbie members appear who claim that the platform is great and has been paying for months. This is one of the tactics used by scammers to draw attention to something, and they say that every advertisement is good - even if it is partially negative.

People report all sorts of stuff, sometimes ancient, but these reports didn't have an old tag attached to them which is automatically applied to posts older than 6 months I believe (and the posts were made in December of last year). Even old reports can still be reported and handled though.
