10201  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰Buff88.com |In-play|eSports |Sports |Casino |BTC, ETH and altcoins accepted💰 on: April 16, 2018, 11:17:02 AM
Welcome Buff88. You can see already from responses here that the crypto gambling community is extremely active and extremely constructive and critical, but that can only be good for you.

I would also urge you as Patatas did to specify clearly in your Terms that crypto users never need KYC for deposits/withdrawals. This is a recurring problem for crypto and fiat casinos that we players find. We play with Bitcoin and then time to withdraw we get a lot of shit for it.
10202  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin FREEROLL at Fantasy Factor on: April 16, 2018, 10:28:55 AM
This is a cheap marketing gimmick for the price of 5$ he'll get a crazy amount of traffic and even then it's not guaranteed he'll pay.

Here's what you need to do 1) Increase the price to make it attractive, otherwise forget people coming to your site. 2) Escrow the funds here, there's nothing like free so better escrow the amount so we know you're legitimate. 3) Put some pictures, plain text doesn't inspire any confidence in anyone, once you follow this guideline bump the tread maybe people will register then.

Better still, do all the above, but enter into an agreement with one of the more reputable members here to promote the site. Have them announce the competition, let them hold the prize(s) as escrow, and put together all those graphics and competition rules in one nice announcement post. There's still no guarantee that this brings in players, but I can tell you if it came from one of the recognized people here, I'd be the first to join (who doesn't like free right?).
10203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS huge dump coming on: April 16, 2018, 08:16:09 AM
EOS had a nice run because of the fork but huge warning, inevitable dump coming.
We all have lessons from the time in Dec 2017 when everything great and we're walking in the moon that time. And now all coin/token lost 3x it value.
So once you have nice price let's cash it out and hold strong don't need FOMO. when EOS huge pump then huge dump coming is normal. Whale need take profit and you too. Only FOMOers stand in the top and spread the faith and wait for a month to get it reach current ATH again.
So let's happy with any gain  Grin

Was I the only one who thought the fork should have actually negatively impacted EOS? Or was the green wave of alts simply too irresistible for it? I see several pump alts doing their normal bull traps too. Talking about Tron and Verge here, both of which I let go already, waiting for the impending dump. Bitcoin will rise again, or Bitcoin will just be sideways, either way, alts can't hold on to this, especially not these super pumped coins.

So agree. Happy with whatever gains from these alts.
10204  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Blockchain 4.0 is coming — and Seele is leading it. on: April 16, 2018, 08:00:43 AM
Yes, please move this to discussion. But on the topic of so-called Blockchains 4.0.

I find it extremely funny to see EOS listed as "third generation". I've seen non-blockchain projects (usually DAG coins, using mesh network instead of blockchain) that are more qualified to be the "third generation" and even Skycoin project with a completely new consensus algorithm.

To soon to talk about 4th generation when even the second and third aren't truly mature enough.
10205  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What will happen when facebook gets replaced by blockchain?? on: April 16, 2018, 06:19:40 AM
Is there even and relation between Facebook and blockchain? One's a social network while the other is a piece of technology which is highly advanced. If you're talking about a social network project in the crypto world, there have been a few and the standout one in my eyes was 'Social' which had a lot of good things going their way.

There's no relation of course, and I don't think OP was trying to make one. But blockchain as can be seen has been making inroads into every damned industry we can think of. But there IS a huge difference to me between simply making social networking on blockchain, which is what a lot of projects are doing, and using blockchain to guard data privacy (which is an application that is cross industry).

I don't think anyone actually has a project that truly looks at this. Data privacy laws in the US are old, even if they think they're modern.
10206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Journey] Watch me collect $10,000 worth of ETH and tokens from bounties on: April 16, 2018, 05:55:54 AM
I'd always suspected that among the thousands of bounty hunters, some must be making good money from simply following the biggest projects and earning from there. I commend you for your effort, well done also on withdrawing money. We are all third world those of us who understand that $100 is a lot of money. My only hope for you is that you don't simply just promote projects for the sake of bounties. Do throw support behind the projects you believe in. For the good of crypto, we all need to start taking crypto seriously, and not help devs make money from our spin tales merely.
10207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero V price predictions on: April 15, 2018, 05:54:30 PM
If any of you really wanted to invest in a Monero fork, why not Aeon? I know I sound like I am shilling right now because I am an Aeon supporter. But I can assure you that Aeon is not a scam. It's also maintained by smooth, one of the lead developers of Monero.

But if you don't believe then don't. I am merely giving a word out for the newbies who do not know any better.

They just want the free coins and are already dreaming of how much money they are going to make by buying selling the free xmrV for thousands of dollars.

Scam or not, Aeon, like all the forks, made the wrong move by forking and splitting up this community. They may not see it that way, but part of the reason for the crypto market just falling all over the place is how fractured it has become. Don't believe the hype, don't believe you yourself are any different. If people truly wanted a difference, they'd make their own projects, not fork over an original blockchain. Forkers are in it for the money, don't believe otherwise.
10208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge potential or scam coin? on: April 15, 2018, 11:48:43 AM
It may have potential but the fact that they were asking for money to announce a partnership seemed hella fishy and I can't get involved with a coin that makes such requests.

Exactly. You all know it, there is just no way anyone could ever justify such a move. First of all, it's already tough to justify any sort of fundraising in crypto when you've got the strongest blockchain project Bitcoin never asking for a single cent. But to announce a partnership? Did this coin forget that it was supposed to be a privacy and anonymity focused coin or did it realize that its supporters actually don't care much past the hype?
10209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What currencies to buy today? on: April 15, 2018, 11:24:32 AM
Singapore dollar currencies buy today.

Lols. Gave me a good laugh as I actually have some of this currency (paper money) and it has been gaining value but only over its neighbors currencies. Been crappy performing against Bitcoin, but that's the same case for any fiat currency almost. Unless of course you sold any crypto for fiat over the past 3 months, then you're probably smiling a little.

Time to get into the dip now before the bulls get into second gear. Almost any top 10 alt is a good buy, but nothing beats the simplicity of owning Bitcoin.
10210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP Could Hit $1.50 Today on: April 14, 2018, 01:16:30 PM
Just reading comments here and I have a burning question. Why does everyone say XRP won't hit these prices BECAUSE it is centralized?

I really dislike tokens like Ripple because they take crypto away from decentralization and make it very corporate (same goes for Ethereum) so I could never support these projects fully.

BUT one thing I can say is that centralization is actually beneficial if all holders care about is price (you know it's true they do). What better way to control prices and supply other than what Ripple devs are doing for XRP?
10211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ICO Due Diligence - get your ICO reviewed on: April 14, 2018, 11:21:38 AM
Hundreds of ICO reviews means you had to do 1 every day. Proper due diligence is a full time job, I doubt you can push them all out with quality with 1 daily. And why do so many reviews? Why not select a few based on initial criteria and then do proper reviews? Isn't basic screening part of due diligence, after all?

Edit: I just looked myself and these are not really reviews. Just a checklist, which is only one of many tools in due diligence. And you also have sponsored reviews. That's a conflict of interest. You can't have sponsored content and rate ICOs without bias.
10212  Economy / Gambling / Re: Australia banned gambling. Who's left? on: April 14, 2018, 08:07:08 AM
...

I can use VPN buy and sell in cryptos and play online gambling there's no chance of them finding out.
...

. How many people donīt even know what a VPN is yet alone are
able to use one?

90% people that play with cryptos knows about VPN

I'll be amazed that you actually believe that people who gamble online wont know about VPN, this is one of the most basic thing that people coming to gambling know. There're many countries which does'nt allow gambling yet using VPN they gamble highest. See for me if a gambler really wants to bet he'll find a way. As far as the condition in Australia is there any further update regarding the situation or there's been no new news till date?

Actually, a few guys I know who USE VPN don't realize that's what they're doing. These aren't old people either, just a few years around my age. They use mobile phones and internet a lot, social media and all that, and use VPNs but the simple add ons like with browser extensions or phone apps. They don't even realise it's a VPN they just know it lets them surf places the government won't let them.

So... yeah I'm not surprised if ppl don't realize. You say VPN they say huh?
10213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do I find the next big thing like Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2018, 06:47:50 PM
I've got good news for you! The next big thing is still Bitcoin. Remember when people all felt they totally missed the train in December and January? The same feeling of trains missed came throughout Bitcoin's history. When people missed it at $10, at $30, at $100... but every dip gives you the perfect chance to get back into the game for the gains that will surely come. Just buy, hold, and don't hold your breath:)
10214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: We want the "smartest" contract on: April 13, 2018, 01:43:57 PM
Hi. Check out www.aegissmartcontracts.com. We are building a smart contract security platform there that will allow code authors to conduct reasonably priced triple audits (expert audits, automated audits and bounty program audits) and receive certification that assures their investors and users that their smart contracts have been thoroughly audited for all known bug and vulnerabilities. Download the whitepaper too. Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated.

Ah, smart contracts. You love them or you don't. I'm really interested to be honest, in good utilization of smart contract tech. Personally have tested a couple of extremely simple ones (with myself) and loved the idea. But every now and then, you read about poorly constructed smart contracts... or shall I say dumb contracts. Parity's ETH smart contracts is the one that reminds me the most about how dangerous these can be.

What's the certification you provide? Good idea for auditing and certification, but since there is no standard, how do we benchmark?
10215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Need Help with Setup of Altcoin Masternodes? I can help you! on: April 13, 2018, 05:31:12 AM
Interesting website. I was considering masternodes last year for at least two alts I owned/held, both PoS coins. As it turned out, I lost interest in them but would probably have gone on the masternode tour had a service likes yours popped up.

Question: Setting the MN up might be all well and good... but what happens if or WHEN we run into trouble? I could be ready to get my VPS and all that on my own, after the setup, we pay $50 every time we need your help?
10216  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Happen Bitcoin OMG 8100$ ?? on: April 12, 2018, 06:56:05 PM
Eh what? I just missed that! And now I see the news. 1K in just 60 minutes. Been such a long time since we saw this kind of spike, 15% or more? Anyone came up with the specific reason yet? Volume also peaked I see. We going to say it's Wall Street again? Thought them moneybags were already lined up with brokers, so it's got to be whales on exchanges.

Today it looks like someone wanted to trigger a "bull run sentiment", or at least trigger some FOMO, or perhaps the whales wanted to wipe out shorters?  (i'm going with the latter Cheesy )

Looks like it didn't work though. Probably everyone rushed to take profits at 8k, too tempting not to.
10217  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: April 12, 2018, 12:08:18 PM
Gambler of this kind really win your respect that's a huge bet and a sweet happy ending to. Miracles keep happening only at bitdice lol.

That's a good notification pop up having people know what they can play, this way all can know which game to play as per their location, so if one is traveling will he be allowed to play games that were restricted to him before right.

Not sure about respect, but certainly admiration! I know I'm a gambler myself and also prone at times to taking unnecessary risks, but I've also experienced first hand a couple of friends who just go overboard, borrowing money to place crazy bets. Winning doesn't even solve their problems as the more they win the crazier they get until they go bust. Sometimes I wondered if it was really to win something big or if they just liked the rush and pats on the back from people who congratulated them if they won big.

Still! Crypto is different as they are plenty of crypto millionaires who didn't spend life savings to get their bags.
10218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero Original will Support the Original Monero Blockchain on: April 12, 2018, 08:36:18 AM
Seems weird to me. Doesn't support for original just means staying on the original blockchain? Anyway, I actually surprised myself by not even reading up about all the Monero forks. I guess all the Bitcoin forking just put me off even the idea of a fork. Hoping that people learnt their lessons was naive, in the end the promise of short term profits was enough to keep people forking.

When has PoW tweaks ever prevented ASICs from eventually breaking it anyway? And when will an ASIC ever want to mine a tweaked Monero?
10219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GEOCACHE AFRICA 2018 .1BTC is yours for the taking on: April 11, 2018, 08:59:11 AM
Hate to bump my own thread, but the money is still just sitting there.
You should advertise it in the local newspapers Smiley
I would be happy to go to a trip to the location but to get there and to get home would cost much more than the value of the bitcoins in the wallet (maybe if the price of bitcoin will rise again around $20.000 there would be more interest finding that wallet...)
Yes, not really profitable to do that.  Cheesy

However, I will not be moving this for a year. If the price goes to $40K the game is still on. It would be funny if the price did skyrocket and someone got a free vacation to Africa. But even if it goes to a million... So be it.

Yeah, back when it was $11,xxx I was debating on traveling there, I looked at tickets and it was going to cost me around $1,500 and I was thinking if it remains in the 11k range I'd go because the flight would cost me $400 out of pocket after finding the btc, and I could enjoy an African vacation on the cheap and make awesome memories because I'd definitely do a lot of exploring around different countries, but since it's fallen to the $6,xxx levels I don't think it's as feasible right now but still loving this idea and I do hope someone finds it and has an awesome story to tell!

Rodeo I do think it's people like you that are trying to keep the community active that will help bitcoin in the long run, I think what you're trying to do now is the equivalent of what Gavin did in the early days with the first faucet that gave out 5 btc for free, getting people into it and new interest Smiley

I would love to go to Africa, or for a fact, I would love to travel anywhere. Even with cheap flights now though, vacationing with a family is too expensive. I could probably make it alone, but then someone has to take care of my family as they are old and need daily care. I think it's fine that it can and should sit there until someone is willing to make the trip.

Perhaps as OP says, maybe it reaches a million and then I myself can even consider such a trip. Not so much about the prize money right now, but who knows, one day?
10220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 is stabity year ? on: April 10, 2018, 06:21:45 PM
The big bankers and wall Street traders actually entered the market last year, just not openly as it now surfacing all over the news. That does explain partly the boom and all the new instruments introduced towards the end of last year (futures especially).

But point taken is yes, this could be the year of stability. Take away the January shock, and we're looking at prices of Bitcoin especially over the last few weeks still within 20 to 30% movement. It's not the crazy 50% or more ups and downs we were used to. Or maybe I'm just desensitized haha.
