10201  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Approaches 9k! on: April 29, 2018, 03:01:32 PM
Bitcoin value is currently trading above  $9200 as at the time of this post and we have seeing that there was no serious correction within the weekend as it use to happen and may be a sign that the next move of Bitcoin value may hit $10,000 in the coming weeks.

I think the highest we got so far is $9500 before it went to $8700 before bouncing to $9200 at the time of this post. So I guess we need to get over the barrier of $9500 before attempting $10K. Good thing though is that we can't seen anything negative as of late, that's why the price keeps going up and I hope that it will continue so that we can finally see bitcoin getting into the 5 digits once more.

I am glad I didn't dump in the slump period. I held everything and now just waiting for the next bull run. I have done some reshuffling of some coins and tokens and bought more of the blockchain infrastructure coins so this time round if we moon hard, I got some skin in the game. If the marketcap can go to 2 trillion dollars USD this time and surpass the previous ATH, then I might make a nice little nest egg and travel around with my family for a few months. I have that little dream, hope it happens one day.

I know you aren't going to dump it mate, you already know how to play in this game based on your rank  Smiley. Bull run has just started in my opinion, although its not that big jump as anyone is expecting because we are still below $10K, but at least its nice to see that the market is somewhat making a comeback and for those holders, we are all happy to see the market going green after the bears suddenly took over the market in the beginning of this year.
10203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 29, 2018, 03:09:43 AM
Westbrook's journey in the playoffs is over.
Although he did his best but he did not get the support from PG and Melo, still a good game for them as they were able to compete.
I think they need to evaluate things, and maybe change the line up next season, have some rest and enjoy your vacation Westbrook.
Thunder is out and it only proves that assembling 3 star players in one team would not always work wonders for that team. Still it boils down to who wanted to win the most and the chemistry of the team must be there all the time. Melo as we know is a liability when it comes to the defensive end of the floor.
Seems that the blend and chemistry between this three superstars are not yet being perfect, all of them are offensive and wanted to hold the ball, even how hard russell will try still he can't win alone, PG and melo needs to step up for him to lift the team, we need to see how the coaches will adjust
from what the end results of this trio, early vacations needs to be use to create more plans for the next season.

As I said here before, Carmelo have problems when it comes to working with other superstars. It is not about the chemistry anymore. That is a guy who wants to be super with just himself. It is like the Lebron thing but worse.
Look at the Game 5 4th quarter where Anthony didn't come in. Westbrook and PG13 is exploding with points  because they wont need to worry about another superstar being stepped when they do everything on the other side.
They should change their roster next year. Throw Carmelo for a a larger space in their salary cap.
I think so, Melo is having a problem when he is with a co-superstar in a team. I think Melo should should sacrifice the pride that he had and learn to adapt to the system of the coaching staff of the team he plays. Thunder is a Westbrook first type of game and he should accept that.

Yes, for me Carmelo is "one" of the problems that cause OKC to not advance to the second round against Houston. To be honest I want OKC vs Houston on the second round, but I guess we need to wait. It would be a exciting since OKC has the numbers against Houston this year. I even see some articles Melo saying that he is not a player coming off the bench. Too much pride but obviously he is already losing some steps and beginning to decline.
10204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Give a man a fish or teach him how to fish on: April 29, 2018, 01:55:46 AM
'If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he eats for a lifetime"

This quote for me sums ups the best strategy for succeeding in cryptocurrency. Too many people trawl through forums, articles and youtube videos looking for what people say will be the next big coin. All you are doing here is accepting free metaphorical fish of people. A better strategy would be to learn about blockchain, distributed ledgers, distributed consensus and immutability. Then look into geopolitical events, then look into other economic markets outside of cryptocurrency for macro trends and then you will be able to make decisions on solid projects for yourself. This whole movement is about becoming independent so relying on other peoples opinions to form your own is a very dangerous game

So true. And far as I know, opinion of others doesn't make any weight specially in crypto sphere. Well, they can persuade others to join the bandwagon, but if you are investors you should learn how everything works before shelling out for hard earn money. That's why a lot of investors got burned early this year, because they really think that bitcoin will continue to go up eventhough we really touch the peak last December. So eventually the market crashes and those who have bought around $16K-$19K was disappointed sold off and experience big losses.
10205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency NEWS on: April 28, 2018, 11:56:51 AM
Good for us non-miners due to too many viruses and malware making you mine monero coins without realising! Also, a lot of people are turning off anti-virus protection due to false positives so glad they are putting a stop to this.

I don't turn off my anti-virus dude, doing so will bring more harm to your pc in the long run. But I have to agree with because those mining software are taking advantage of many users without them knowing why their PC is slowing down. But I'm sure that they will find another way to exploit this system so everyone should be careful about the sites you are visiting because we really don't know that extend of this malware in case you visited a site that contains it.
10206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: April 28, 2018, 11:33:19 AM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

If it was me in this situation, i will stop myself to continue to gamble. I know this is not an easy thing especially in the middle of gambling, although there is a possibility that you can win everything back with the last few penny you have but you must not forget that you might lose all the money you have and cannot go home due to this foolish act.
It is never easy to give up on an activity that has pleased you for long and also given a hope for hitting a jackpot. But a gambler should face the reality. The earlier he does, the better it would be for his health and wealth. Once losing some amount, gambler should really figure out a way for surviving in this dark valley of gambling or better to quit while he has the chance to run away.

Correct, its not that easy to give up your gambling habits even if you are losing a lot of money. Last night I lost .05 BTC and I said to myself that I need to take a break. But it seems that I can't get over it and I'm  thinking of playing it again before going to bed. Bu I will try to control myself and not think of recouping what I've lost the other night. It's going to be tough so I don't know if I have that strength to overcome it.
10207  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Pullback on: April 28, 2018, 11:12:37 AM
Hoping for more increasing in bitcoin and hoping that bitcoin will never be decreased at 50% value of it. Price is pulling back again because of the good news that are releasing right now, People are just getting scared so they sell but if there is a good news they will bought back that's why price is pulling back again.

Price will pull back up even more, $10000-$11000  is for sure. Either it will get a slight dip before or after the mentioned target. Because many people bought at this price and many of them are new, that will make them sell there holding, even partially, but it will happen.

Yes, there will be a minor pullback before we can march towards $10K-$11K. The price keeps fluctuating in the last  few days, which is a good sign because the market is very active and it will be a continuous buy/sell affair. And then afterwards, the price would steadily pickup and will go on the $10K and even more. Let's wait and see. Although the market is in red right now, I don't consider it as a bloodbath but a minor correction.
10208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 28, 2018, 05:04:26 AM
What a sensational performance from Lebron. He truely is a great leader. That last play from both edge of the floor by Lebron was amazing. Thrilling packed game, respect to the Pacers who put a fight against Cavs despite of countless turnovers and missed 3's.
Its time to take the winning bet. Oh yeah!

Did James really got a clean blocked against Oladipo or what is a goal tend?

Anyways, it was one of best games that James have shown us, not missing a free throw and hitting that 3 in the buzzer. I think he almost made a triple double if I'm not mistaken. The Cavs was in control of the game when the Pacers suddenly made a comeback courtesy of Sabonis. One thing I don't know is why the Pacers didn't give a foul when they still have 1 to give.

That block was clearly a goal tending. The NBA replay center made it clear for everyone. It wasnt being reviwed by the officials since there were no call.
But before that ball position, the refs already made a mistake by awarding the ball to the Pacers and gave a turnover against Lebron, Young clearly poked the ball out of bounce before Lebron touches the ball with his elbow to put the ball far beyond the line. That doesnt matter anyway if they count that Oladipo lay-up, Lebron hit the 3. Cavs still win up by 1 point.
No more arguments about that since even we count that goal tending cavs will still win by 1 point, lebron really play hard and give the team and
extra edge for this playoffs series, it would be an interesting match between this two teams, if cavs snatch the win in front of the crowd of pacers
then they have another chance to defend and regain their east title, too early though but it can be  a good game to watch together with okc and jazz.

lol. How can you be so sure that Lebron will hit the 3 in the next play? But I have to agree that it was clearly a goal tending but the referee totally missed it and there are a lot of missed call in the past as well. Its just the media has put a spin on it because it was James who are involved and they are making a frenzy out of it.
10209  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is not the rise you are looking for on: April 28, 2018, 04:29:24 AM
Obviously as this trend, many people will loss their money if they really don't know how play. Yeah, the desires of getting rich quickly isn't a good idea at all. Having crypto investment is just hoping for luck, hoping for a good market trend because the more it become known worldwide the more it become volatile.

Exactly. If you don't know how to play around and ride the waves you will easily get burn, very fast. Specially in the last 3 months wherein we saw the price plummeted to its all time low.

Crypto investment is not for the weak of heart. You also need a lot of luck and of course don't sell when the price is going down. Patience is the key + timing. But if you are here to make quick buck, you are very wrong because you need to work you ass off and make the correct decision before making a lot of money.
10210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If United states legalize Bitcoin? on: April 28, 2018, 04:12:17 AM
Will China, India and other countries follow the same path?

Of course they will not follow the US. Each country has its own sovereign, although US is the number 1 country in the world, but it doesn't mean that whatever they do certain country will follow suit. Besides, its country mentioned above has its own reason why they banned or at least put a tighter regulations and I don't see them making a U-turn and changing their hard stance against bitcoin and crypto in general.
10211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 27, 2018, 11:41:22 PM
Roger Federer will skip the clay court season again like he did last year so that he can be fit and ready for Wimbledon. Federer could return at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle or Stuttgart in June. I was hoping to see him at the French Open but I guess he feels his not up to playing on clay and challenging Nadal.

This is one factor one Roger was still in tip top shape and in form because he chooses to enter tournaments that he has a chance to win. Not entering clay is a good move. And yes, maybe he is preparing something big like the Wimbledon. Nadal was really unstoppable in clay so it doesn't make sense for Roger to even enter the tournament when Nadal will clearly take the trophy.
10212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market on: April 27, 2018, 11:26:38 PM
How much of an increase is considered as a "bull market"

I don't know if there are a certain percentage to be considered as a bull, but from my observation, it usually starts at around 40% increased in the next couple of days or months to be considered that the market is in the bullish trend. But as long as the market is getting green and having good gains of at least 4% daily and continues, then definitely, its in a bull run as well.
10213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what's wrong with yobit on: April 27, 2018, 11:00:19 PM
yobit is a crypto exchanger that stood since 2015, but now red trust everywhere. can yobit maintain its existence?

please share your knowledge and experience here! especially for members of the forum who had been a victim of yobit.

If you have't used Yobit before, then you don't have any experienced as to how shit their support is. I wasn't a victim per se like not having the chance to withdraw the funds, I did withdraw but it takes weeks.Their support is really slow in responding to my tickets and when I traded all the my coins/tokens, I literally run off and never come back because of the terrible support they are giving.
10214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 27, 2018, 10:12:28 PM
"I picked a dangerous opponent in Matthysse. He's a champion but I do believe that we can box him and control the fight," said Pacquiao.

Pacquaio is right and he is not bragging that he can't beat easily Matthysse.

Out of confusion on how this Matthysse style of fight, I watched some his highlights and the best one I saw is this:

Lucas Matthysse vs Ruslan Provodnikov ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DeKs5hS-k8 )

That is one the best Junior Welterweights battle I have watched. Matthysse won the fight via majority decision.

Yes, it was a beautiful fight. Matthysse took the first few rounds, but Ruslan come back in the latter and knock down Lucas in 11th if I'm not mistaken but he lost that fight. Lucas gave everything against that granite chin of Ruslan and he took it resulting in his face swollen as hell. (ruslan though easily cuts, that is his main issue though).

That's what's Lucas in his prime, but I think he can still give the same performance against Pacquiao as he is really one of the hardest puncher out there. So it going to be exciting fight.
10215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is the most dominant? on: April 27, 2018, 03:30:20 PM
Why bitcoin is the most dominant among all crytocurrencies?

Because its the first cryptocurrency to gain social acceptance throughout the world.

Is it because it is the first crytocurrency?

Its not the first crypto as far as I know, but its the first crypto that really took out.

Is it because of its popularity?

As bitcoin gain acceptance and recognition throughout its young career, it became a household name so obviously its became so popular specially last year when bitcoin peaked at $20K.

Is it because of its value?
Please enlighten me.

Just like I said, it become so popular that a lot of people, institution investors pour a lot of cash resulting in its value almost touching $20K a pop last year.

Anyone knows to where they moved those Bitcoins? It appers to be the same addres that receive some Bitcoins one month ago. But it doens't looks like an exchange. And why they haven't move to a segwit address?

Is it just a moved? Then nothing to worry about as long as they are not dumping it. As far as I know, they needed to get a court order before offloading it again. Indeed there are some movement:

http://coindata.info/mtgox.php

Still have like 146105.84 BTC left in the wallet. I don't think that this is a exchange and I hope that there will be no dumps coming our way otherwise another headache for everyone.
10217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Green days are coming for bitcoin on: April 26, 2018, 05:28:44 PM
And just like that, the bears is clawing back on the market again. Most of the coins are in the red zone, maybe because we have been rising from the last bottom of $6500 to $9500 very quick so today we have seen a pullback of almost $700. However, all the signs are still pointing that we can still bounce back again and may hit the elusive 5 digits mark. Again, there's no need to panic but another buying opportunity to all of us.
10218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino in Las Vegas Accepting bitcoin - Land based and huge sign infront! on: April 26, 2018, 05:01:23 PM
Oh that's so cool! Does that mean they will pay winners their money in Bitcoin too? Or do they accept only Bitcoin deposits? If I am in Las Vegas someday I will make sure to pop in there haha  Grin

It bring backs memories of me when I was able to walk on Las Vegas and play on their casino. hahaha. Yeah seems pretty welcoming for all of us gamblers to finally see bitcoin being recognized in the gambling capital in the US if not the entire world.

That's a big news! I am actually travelling to the states in August and would love to give this casino a try. I do have a question though, how is the casino going to pay our rewards? Will that be in FIAT or in Bitcoin itself?

Every time an outlet begins accepting bitcoin as payment method, I get more and more optimistic. I am anxiously awaiting for the time when I can use bitcoin more as a currency than as an asset.

Dude one way to find out is to try casino's that accepts bitcoin and see how it goes. hehehehe.
10219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 223: Nurmagomedov vs ??? Info Prediction, MCGREGOR ATTACKS BUS LOL! on: April 25, 2018, 11:56:48 PM
But we still have Tony and Khabib. Maybe one of them can win against Conor, who knows. I don't know if is will be the biggest fight in history if they ever fight in Russia, but hey, the 4 out of 5 top selling UFC PPV's was headlined by Conor(except #2 Lesnar vs Mir) and he still holds the record against Nate.
I think Tony and Khabib will beat Conor and then he could retire for good from MMA  or he will go down and challenge the 145 pound champion once again, but there is also a change that after two defeats he will call out Paulie for a boxing match. Cheesy. Lesnar and Conor are the biggest pay per view stars and i think the record is with Lesnar .

Conor McGregor is only 29 and you want him to retire from the MMA if he loses to Khabib? But from what I have seen, if you lose just one match then your morale will take a hit and it is going to be very difficult to get back to the winning mode. This is what happened to Fedor Emelianenko after he lost that match to Fabrício Werdum.

Maybe Fedor has made a lot of money back then that's why he retire or past his prime already that's why he decided to just call it quit. For Conor, I don't think we will retire, maybe @SaShiRaJaVu is joking when he said that. Although he can also do it because the fight with Floyd is his biggest payday up to date, saw him in youtube driving with a new and customized sports car, thanks to Floyd. lol.
10220  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 Reasons why Bitcoin is Going Up! on: April 25, 2018, 10:37:41 PM
The main reason for the growth of bitcoin is very simple, it was too cheap, this is very similar to what happened when bitcoin was close to 20000 dollars it was impossible to maintain such an expensive price, so when people saw that the price was 6000 dollars they could not let go the opportunity to buy bitcoin for those prices.

Good analysis. The price around $6K is really a quite good buy for all of us and they say that this is the bottom price that's why it make sense to get and purchase it and not wait for the price to go even further. However, we have reached the top again at around $9500-$9700 depending on what exchanges you look the price. So if everyone is hoping that the price could go as high as $10K, then its put on a temporary hold so we must all wait again.
