11201  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: April 25, 2017, 07:19:17 PM
Bitcoin has pass through many stage, limitations, attack and forks issue but its price keep on increasing from inception till now. At this time Last year bitcoin price was $450 but today it is $1245 that was over 180% increment in just a year. This is what we call blessing, that is making progress in the face of strong opposition!!

When you call it blessing, its like something a gift from God. So is Satoshi a God now?  Cheesy

I call it opportunity. When I(we) found bitcoin, it give us a possibility orsato likelihood to profit or gain money through trading and other forms. Early adopters didn't know that the popularity of bitcoin will get to this level, but the opportunity has presented itself so now they are harvesting the fruits of its labor. But for those who have just started bitcoin the same concept still exist they can still make money enjoy bitcoin as mode of payment.
To me bitcoin is a blessing from God. God can use anyone to be a blessing to the world including satoshi! We all know the benefits of bitcoin to all of us here because without bitcoin we would not be here every day.  For me the first money I make online is bitcoin and I was able to covert it to fiat and use the money for my need so I see bitcoin as a blessing.

Indeed bitcoin is a blessing for me as well because its open doors for earning bitcoin in which way possible. And just like you, it can easily be converted to fiat money that you can used freely. So a big blessing knowing bitcoin and making it possible for me to earn money through online.
11202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Suspicion of Insider Trading at Poloniex on: April 25, 2017, 07:13:35 PM
i think its little bit strange for delisting coins in poloniex because from what i've read in many sites, there is no news from polo that wants to delisted that coins and its make many traders is confusing and sadly. if i take a look in polo in few weeks ago, all of coins that will be delisted gets a good moving in the market and there are many traders doing large amount of bitcoin and i think the coins is deserve to stay with polo.

Right. They delisted it without any warning to both traders and devs as well. Some of them are moving but Poloniex thinks that those are shitcoins and needs to be out of their trading platforms. I pity some dev who works hard and for some strange reasons, their coin gone in Poloniex.
11203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: April 25, 2017, 07:05:27 PM

I believe in superstitions but I don't have superstitions in playing gambling. I just play and test if I have luck today but with the hope of winning of course. I also apply superstitions in real life and I wear charms but I think that being optimistic  attracts positive things to happen in your life. It is not bad to follow superstitions but some people depends their whole life in it as if death will happen if they do not follow.

Yes, its not bad to follow superstitions but sometimes people tend to follow it like its life dependent on it. Having a lucky charms or whatever they call it is not bad. But don't get over react if the things that you are expected to happened didn't happened because you thought that everything will go in your favor because of your lucky charm.
11204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: April 24, 2017, 06:52:05 PM
You can quit gambling for your own good not for other the only person can help you to quit is you no one can help you to quit gambling, as long as you hate it you will not go there trust me think of all your family their sacrifices to eat everyday how if you gave them best food to eat than wasting your money for gambling.

Yes we can or we can try to play with only a small amount. If you are addicted like me then you would know that it is very hard to let go off gambling addiction. Therefore to keep on gambling, I must sustain what I use to gamble therefore I only play with a small amount so either when I lose it will still be fine

So you are saying that you are now playing an amount that you can afford to lose? Well at least that a head start if you are quitting gambling for good. Just slowly reducing the amount of bitcoin you can play at any given time. I hope it will continue this way for you so that you can quit gambling and used the money for other purposes.
11205  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: April 24, 2017, 06:03:25 PM
Bitcoin can be used in both spectrum, good or bad. so it is possible that individual will used bitcoin to bribe and corrupt like government official for a favor return. And there are like several ways how the person who will received that money can't be track. Unlike in fiat where there is a paper trail that will lead to you.
11206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Delisted From Poloniex are Not Dead and Kicking on: April 24, 2017, 05:53:30 PM
They are not delisting them because they are thinking them to be dead, they never told so. They took this bad decision because those markets where not enough profitable. And beside that they keep some Ethereum and Monero markets with near no trading volume...

I think Polo delisted some of those altcoins because thy are not profitable as mentioned. But at least Polo should have the decency to informed the owners of the developer about their decision. No given explanation by Polo so we are all speculating why they decided so delist them and why keep some like Monero with no trading volume.
11207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: less wild fluctuation? is bitcoin bemome more mature? on: April 24, 2017, 05:40:26 PM
In the first quarter of 2017, bitcoin price only increased 10%, while ETH 600% and DASH 846%. And i noticed that btc price is like going steady in the past few weeks. Is this good or bad? Does this mean it is growing into a mature investment?

The price is going steady because some exchanges like Bitfinex hold the USD withdrawal of its investors so naturally they convert their USD to bitcoin that why the price started to increase. But once the withdrawal is open again, the price of bitcoin will go down. But in terms of being mature, no bitcoin will not mature and will remain unstable and volatile.
11208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest Dice win? on: April 24, 2017, 05:29:31 PM
I never played at OneHash. Biggest win is like 0.03BTC only. I just lucky that day. But then again I went back and lost half so I stop. 2 hours of playing and you won is not bad after all. Just don't be greedy because if you do, you will loss everything eventually in the long run.
11209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 in a million on: April 24, 2017, 05:12:12 PM
Still wonder who among those who got their bitcoin free when it starting are still holding their Bitcoin, but we will not know unless post their story about their Bitcoin being one of the early adopters, yeah it's indeed surprising how Bitcoin has become over the years.

My friend told me that in the past when the price of bitcoins was too low there were many faucet sites that were paying huge amount of bitcoins after every 15 minutes so people who have managed to earn at that time and still holding would have become millionaire by now.

Don't believed your friend mate. And I doubt that those claiming faucets before can be millionaires by now. Maybe your friend has other means of earning bitcoin before but faucet, nah, I don't think so. If your friend said mining, yeah they should be millionaires by now.
11210  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: April 23, 2017, 09:31:49 PM
As I have said before, for me saving bitcoin as investment for long term is a good choice for everyone. Why? Because bitcoin gives you that flexibility to save it as store of value. Then if you need money, then you can easily take hold of it, sell, then make the conversion to USD. For me this is the main advantage of having storing it for a long time.
11211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 23, 2017, 09:02:00 PM
This is it.

Cleveland Cavaliers sweep Indiana Pacers via 106-102 win. Lebron James and Kyrie Irving combined with 61 points. Kudos to Indiana Pacers. They really gave Cavaliers a nice defense to the last 4 minutes until the end. From double digit lead, Pacers able to get up and bring the score to a close one. What an effort.

With their elmination, I think this will be the last time we can see Paul George at Indiana Pacers wearing their jersey. Stay tuned as he is one of the hotter player on trade rumor next season.

Its a hard earned swept by Cleveland Cavaliers. For the most part, though, it was Lebron James and Kyrie Irving trying to hold things togethe. D Williams with 14 points, was the only other Cavaliers player in double figures. As for Paul George, this is one of his worst game in the series with just 15 points.
11212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: April 23, 2017, 08:23:42 PM
Bitcoin will always be #1 because its the first crypto-currency that truly revolutionize how online payment platform should be. Anon, fast(?)de-centralized and now going global. Japan has proven it by getting it legal in their country so its going be mass adopted by other countries as well. No other alt-coins can matched bitcoin popularity.
11213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is winning the Race - Bitcoin or Paypal? on: April 23, 2017, 07:47:14 PM
Paypal is still leading the race in terms of online payment transaction but bitcoin is not far behind. But bitcoin has the possibility to overtake payment in a few years because bitcoin is going global and mass adopted soon. And people will learn about it being anon and fast(?) so they are going to shift to bitcoin.
11214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 23, 2017, 07:36:49 PM
Houston Rockets Vs Oklahoma City Thunder

I am still not convinced by Thunder's home win in Game 3 of the playoff. Thunder was trailing by more than 10 points at one point of the game and yet Rockets only lost by 2 points in the end. Thunder are more reliant on Westbrook than Rockets on Harden. You can see that Thunder only managed to win because they were playing at home and yet Rockets made it close. Rockets played better than Thunder in the regular season so I am going for Rockets +1.5.

This is actually one of the more exciting matchups this first round because of the russ/harden story and who's more deserving of the season mvp plum. Though i agree with you. It seems that westbrook is the only one willing his team to victory. Perhaps harden has better teammates but someone has to really step up if okc is to push this series further. Though really, two hands up for westbrook. The guys giving it all out every single night but his teammates should be more focus on doing their part for the team instead of having westbrook rake up the stat sheet

This proved the basketball is still a 5 man team. Not one person taking over the game. Westbrook is MVP caliber but he need the whole team to provide him support. Some of this team mates are just watching him doing his thing. Instead of doing screens or trying to get rebounds after he missed a shot. They won last game, but I think Harden and Houston will take the series.
11215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: April 23, 2017, 07:19:56 PM
Well for me i will invest the half one and played the remaining half so in the mean time whether i lose i can be gain profit in my invesment abd if i win when played, well its nice that it can be x2 my money since i had many experience playing in many casino i know now what i'm doing
What if neither works out? investment and gambling both are risky. it would be good to have some sort of savings don't you think?
stick with investing only, you will make money there! gambling is just for fun.

I agree mate. That's why I said in the other thread that I would rather invest bitcoin in the long run for profit. I know that their is risk of bitcoin price going down. But I would rather put it that way than lost everything in gambling, which we all know that you can't win in the long run.
11216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost over 12 btcs gambling on dice on: April 23, 2017, 07:10:50 PM
Thats a sad year, i just lost 100% of my coins in just 4 months
tried a mix of strategy, safe ways, risky, playing just a few times per day
but results are always the same
you lose in the end
i feel cheated
its unbelievable
know
why the house always win?
And you see people saying "it happens, you can not win in a long run"
why not? why i cant win in a long run?
why we never see a casino losing and closing the doors?
why 999999999% profiles of the top gamblers are negative?  Huh
 Undecided
but you know what i like? I like when the house eat the shit back
when someone manage to find a bug and make 6-7 digits over it  Cheesy
the house cheat, thats it

Mate we all know that we can't win in the long run then blame the house for cheating you? That's a huge amount of btc to start with, so if you think you have lost like half of it then you should probably stop.

You can't win in the long run because the house has always the advantage. It will never change. And the longer you play, the chances of you winning is getting lower and lower. I hope you learn the lesson that in gambling no one can win in the long run.
11217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: April 23, 2017, 07:02:58 PM
As I learned more about bitcoin and bitcoin market. I'm now inclined to save bitcoin as a store of value. So I save it as wealth or investment and let it grow for a while then will only retrieved if the condition satisfies me, like I already make a large profit from my initial investment.
11218  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will accept Bitcoin as payment, in exchange for IT services, or managed trading on: April 22, 2017, 08:51:36 PM
Hello all - this is a bit of an experiment for me, being that Bitcoin is so new and all.  To attempt to contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem, specifically to further the perception & acceptance that Bitcoin is 'money' - I have decided to offer some services for which I'll accept Bitcoin as the method of payment.

Specifically:

  • IT Services - a lot of you may be programmers or other uber-techies.... However  my offer of service is not for programming but for more basic things... troubleshooting some software issue, configuring your network [assuming at least your Internet connection works so I can remotely access], other consultations.. I can't do everything but we can try, and if you're satisfied, you pay me Bitcoin.  I will likely use some remote access software which you would control, in order for me to configure/troubleshoot whatever your problem is
  • Managed trading - I make my living trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, I specialize in derivatives trading.  Though I cannot guarantee any results, if anyone wants to diversify some of their money into something that can allow your money to grow, you could try with me if you'd like. If we can come to an agreement and you are satisfied, you could pay me with Bitcoin.

I'll add any other services I could provide as they come to my mind, but for now these are the two fields that a) I have professional experience in b) could probably be valuable to someone out there, and c) I can do remotely, in other words for anyone, anywhere in the world, thanks to the Internet.

If you are interested in either of these services I can provide, just contact me privately and we can discuss matters further.  If we can agree and make an exchange, great.  If not - at least you've made a new Bitcoin contact/buddy!  Smiley

I'm reopening a 7 years topic, but this annoucement can be the first of this kind in the world? The first person who intented to use for real bitcoins for buyings/selling?

Interesting, this was 7 years ago. I wonder what happened to the OP now? Early adopters of bitcoin? Maybe he is rich as f*uck now and no longer offering this kind of service. LoL.

I don't know if this is a first of its kind way back then, but surely it caught all our attention.

Edit: I just read his posting history and it looks like this guy has a lot of money already. He's talking about a 6 figure amount in Bitstamp in 2013.
11219  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Africa on: April 22, 2017, 08:43:34 PM
I say probably. We still don't have a clear picture on what influence bitcoin is really in African Continent. Maybe few countries there are using bitcoin now, but we still don't know. Africa has been struggling economically in the last decade or so, I can't say if they are ready for bitcoin. Maybe we need to wait for a more years to really say that they have accepted bitcoin or not.
11220  Economy / Services / Re: 1k$ daily - free tutorial on: April 22, 2017, 08:35:59 PM
Lol. Close this thread OP the smell of sarcasm is all over this place. I doubt someone will believe you. Just share your methods here and see if what you said is true.
