10241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Ways to find a bounty program of your liking on: April 06, 2018, 01:40:07 PM
I'm sensing you're not keen to join bounties on basis of project strength itself (whether or not it's great or not), or whether or not you actually want to support the coin/token when it does launch. If that's the case and you only want bounties that pay, pay well, and on time. Look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2477796.0

Run by some of the best managers this forum knows. They only take good projects. I've also been lucky to join programs that always pay.
10242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Exvo.io - Community focused currency and exchange | Fast | Secure | NEW on: April 06, 2018, 12:57:47 PM
Looks like another win for Ravencoin. You shouldn't charge fees for listing though. You're decentralized, supposedly, and fee charging for listing is the model of Bittrex and the big guys. List coins because they're good, because you like them, and you think their development is great. Otherwise you encourage people to keep pouring money into shitcoins. ICO, pay for listing, dump. Just my two satoshis.
10243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: April 05, 2018, 07:59:22 PM
I'm slightly peeved that I'm forced to sell a bit of my ETH soon for some much needed cash. I still made a slight profit as I got it about a year ago at slightly cheaper rates than right now... but yeah. Anyone who felt they totally missed out on ETH? Your luck's here right now. The clock's wound back a year and you can fill your bags.

Not a long-term ETH supporter by any means, but a return to at least $1k? Hell yes.
10244  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in Table of Probabilities on: April 05, 2018, 03:30:06 PM
Yes, freebitco.in has a terrible house edge... and I don't know if they still do that 100% BTC bonus deposit, but with their crazy edge, and 30x wagering requirements, it's next to impossible to finish on top unless you do some risky betting - not worth it.

That all said, they've worked perfectly fine as a faucet. I don't use them anymore, but always got my payouts without issues. And from observations of their thread, admin wetsuit is not a cheater.
10245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we at the Anger stage rite now? on: April 05, 2018, 08:16:58 AM
Not sure what anger stage means. People tired of losing and just rage quit to sell everything? Doesn't really make sense, plus, if people are selling, it means people are buying. How many people are waiting for this price range below 7k to buy? I know I would if I had any cash. Seems a bit silly to wait for it to go below 6k when it's already such a premium bargain.

Where are the bulls defending 7k?
10246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 04, 2018, 04:17:04 PM
Wait. Is that Sasha sasha? Hero member... but why the sudden thread? Following anyway

What does waves offer different than ethereum? Because if they are almost indentical, aka the same thing then I don't see why would anybody want to make and switch between ethereum and Waves. Ethereum is somewhat standard where people will want to lunch their own tokens and built their smart contracts, with huge support from the community and this is why it will be in my mind when it comes to smart contracts and dApps and tokens in general. Why is Waves better, or why would I want to do anything on ti rather than do it on ethereum???

Lots of reasons, don't want to sound like a shill since I'm a WAVES supporter but I'll sum it up based on the exact reasons I got attracted to Waves:
1. Best liteweight wallet there is around, keeps several cryptos too, all my tokens, Decentralized Exchange, leasing all in one place.
2. Not that I'll ever need to compare but Waves blockchain is the quickest available right now. It'll take a lot more than CryptoKitties to take it down, and as we've seen, that's all it needs to break ETH.
10247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is the crypto industry going to look like in 5–10 years? on: April 04, 2018, 02:00:33 PM
As we had observed cryptocurrency sometimes fall and sometimes increase its price. How will crypto industy price for the next 5 to 10 years from now?
automation and rise of crypto currency better smartphones and  quantum computers revolt against central banks and i see some building going on way over on the moon I think there will be a string of bad viruse and bacteria and I think humans will be living twice as long and the medical break throughs will be substantial in aiding with that and I think it s going to look pretty cool

Possible scenario, yes, but take into account that the past ten years, we have seen the same mobile and internet access just grow exponentially, but users and the tools to access them have become more and more centralized. Hopefully, with scandals that happened with Facebook and others will make users realise they MUST decentralize and opt for open source first before they can take back control. But with corporate crypto and private blockchains, it might be that this tech will become extremely commercial... and again we have to fight the point home - decentralize!
10248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IBM: Blockchain Economy Will Hit $3.1 Trillion on: April 04, 2018, 11:40:49 AM
Good to note the many years in future, it might seem like a downer for today, but since we're all holders (right?), we should be happy to see people think blockchain and crypto will be around for more than a decade more. IBM, no less, and that piece of hardware they got going might be amazing to see today, we'll think of it as normal in ten years.

Nothing wrong with solid and realistic estimations!
10249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is going to replace bitcoin? on: April 04, 2018, 09:10:30 AM
In the future, Bitcoin will apparently not be the world's most famous currency for trading because people only view Bitcoin as a property to hold and sell when it is profitable, not be used as a currency. Cryptocurrencies will become the future of coins, and altcoins will replace Bitcoin to become the world's most leading currency for the next 30 years.

It's all bullshit when people who parade alts as Bitcoin's replacement, yet they still carry signatures and logos that all propose Bitcoin or even use its logo. True, people see Bitcoin as property to hold, but how many of them had the guts to hold on when it dipped all the way to $6k, when they bought it at 10 to 19k? They all sold, leaving those who do use it to spend cheaper coins to get. Bitcoin is used all over the place even on this forum. Maybe some people accept ETH, but any other alts? Other than for bounties, which all help promote the alt anyway, there has been no good alt that serves as currency outside of Litecoin and Monero.
10250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 03, 2018, 08:48:14 PM
Haha on Pornhub, but a serious haha... now I'm guilty of buying into Verge during the post FOMO phase. I luckily managed not to get in at 700 or even 400, but at a lower price. Still actually have to weather this general blitz across alts. Can't say I was pleased that all these rumors and secret news came out after I bought it. Never liked the attachment to Mcafee, but I was sure there was good money to be made short term.

Can someone give me once good casino that accepts my anonymous Verge?
10251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex and Bittrex fishy activities on: April 03, 2018, 08:24:07 PM
That might be a problem if the trading also becomes disabled. I haven't had the experience of a wallet under maintenance AND having trading disabled as of yet. Not sure about Poloniex as I can't recall, but I certainly remember having a wallet under maintenance for Bittrex but still being able to trade my coin. In fact, what I did was just sell it for Bitcoin and I was able to cash that out. If I'm not mistaken, Gridcoin has been under maintenance forever, but you can still sell/buy it there.

I had problem before with Sia coin too, 400-500 sat price on Polo, 700-800 on Bittrex...but at that time
sending BTC anywhere was also expensive...still, funny that problems usually occur when theres
price difference

Guess they'll always make it tough for people to do this "arbitrage" trading across exchanges. I'm not sure that's entirely the case though, as I've seen enough USDT arbitrage around some exchanges, and Tether is hardly ever down for maintenance. Going to need to collect more "evidence" of such claims if they want to stand. Not that it's really going to improve the situation if it IS true. Whales gotta do their things, I guess. Us small fish gotta complain and still use these shitty exchanges.

10253  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SNIPERTRADE SIGNALS - Providing Education over Reliance on: April 03, 2018, 03:23:13 PM
I haven't used Telegram for a while due to past abuse (spam and what not) but am tempted to test the waters again after some miserable outings myself. You guys got any statistics to share with us? I see "hits" and "misses" here but what's the overall performance been since you launched in February? I'd be really surprised if you escaped without the losses everyone else has been having since then.
10254  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitroDice.com - Welcome to the new era of DICE GAMING! on: April 03, 2018, 08:58:41 AM
Don't give any user here access. Identify a trusted user, probably one of the Staff or Legendary willing to perform this checks. Get them to announce here in this thread and probably also make a proper announcement thread (like what is suggested above, since a full graphic display makes a better first impression) and THEN you let that person verify some of your claims.

Withdrawal fee is terrible, but other than that... fast betting alone will beat the competition.
10255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Seeking Whitepaper Authors with credible history in this Field on: April 02, 2018, 02:43:26 PM
Don't hire a whitepaper author. If you really have a project, you really have an idea worthy of a whitepaper, write it yourself. I read your post and your language is capable. Get everything put down in a clear way, all your ideas contained. And then you hire someone who becomes more of an editor to clean up your work and make it more user friendly.

Do things the right way. Do things on your own. Sorry but this is the only way to create a successful project.
10256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bountyhive scam on: April 02, 2018, 02:37:55 PM
Honestly, I don't get most people. They want to do bounties, do it. Bounties are always unfair one way or other. Either bounty hunters earn too much for scam work they do themselves, or they earn too little because their stakes are kept by guys who manage like bountyhive do.

You know what? No one forces anyone to earn bounties. You want practically free money, with no investment of your own, you can't demand anything. You get what they tell you to get and that's it. You want to earn something good for work? Get a real job.
10257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My $36,000 Invesment Turned Out Now $12,000 - Still Holding on: April 02, 2018, 10:09:24 AM
I know how people feel, those who invested in December or January like me, who fell love with crypto, and the way price was going up, never believed I have to see market cap under $250 billion. However, Everyday I check my Black folio app, I feel sick in my stomach. Sometimes I feel what I have done? But i knew there was a risk, i knew, I could lose money, but I couldn't control my rush of blood, seeing people buying right and left whatever they could.

But my question to all those investors, do you believe in crypto? If you do then hold tight because good days will come, if you are not in need an emergency cash, then hold your coin, It can't be red all days, it will be green. have some faith in this industry. I know it's hard seeing the bloodbath, what's happening, but we will rise again.

Even though I lost 70% of my portfolio, I'm still holding because I know good days are coming soon. Good luck guys.

I can feel you, OP. I didn't exactly invest in those heavy periods, but I certainly feel terrible every time I come in to check prices, and see a lot of my hard earned crypto (especially Bitcoin) fall in value. I freelance a little and get paid in crypto when I find opportunity, always stashing it away so to see losses of more than 50% when I didn't spend anything does make me feel down.

We all knew the risks, but we should also remember our plans. To hold for years, and think of the future.

I still believe in crypto, since you ask. And I hope you feel the same. Sell what you need, like I need, but the belief stays strong. Good luck to you, op.
10258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Tether? on: April 02, 2018, 09:15:12 AM
About as much as I trust any fiat currency, to be honest. Which in reality means, I use it if I have to, but I don't hold on to it for longer than I need. They're almost the same thing, in my view, one pegged to the other. Both can and always regularly are created out of thin air. Got to "respect" their audacity I suppose. And as long as we keep using Tether, I guess we can only grumble as we feed the system. We can pretend to be against something but if we use it, we should not get too uptight.
10259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and eth big scam on: April 01, 2018, 08:42:15 PM
I do feel sorry for a lot of newcomers like you, to be honest, but I suppose you should have all known the risks associated with investment. Not just Warren Buffet, any investor will tell you that most basic of fineprint, to only invest what you can afford to lose.

If you bought at those prices though, then it means you've not been investing for longer than five or six months. Did you really expect to be making so much (or so little) in this period of short months?
10260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Below $500 on: April 01, 2018, 08:15:16 PM
Its as like other crypto coins now. The current correction has not left even a coin to be in green. But hope, every correction ends with a huge spike in prices. 2018 is said to be spoken for crypto coins. Experts do predict that ETH would certainly have threefold growth down the line this year. Hope every coin gains more values and keeps crypto on top of all currencies.

Let's hope that these experts are right! And then I'm tired of watching the Ether fall, it's already getting scary that it can fall much deeper. There are rumors that Bitcoin will fall to $2500

Not really, there are always coins like Monero who some days like today actually, manage to stay afloat when other alts drop. I thought Ethereum was finally breaking free of Bitcoin and that was a good thing. But days and weeks like the one we are in show that it's not always good news to be "unpegged" from Bitcoin. ETH had some previous periods of doing better (or not as bad as BTC) but wow, I thought it'd recover when it got back to $400. Anything is game for ETH now. Pitying myself sort of but this is the temptation when you're holding...
