10261  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 3 Bitcoin Casinos for 2018 on: April 01, 2018, 03:10:01 PM
Sorry arriving here late. Isn't it a bit too early to say best of 2018? Best of 2017 to be sure.

I generally agree with comments above. I know all the names listed and have tried playing on one of them. They're not in my top 5 casinos at all though.

Graphics wise, they're better than all my favorites. But little else. Your site name says "Gambler's Edge" so I would assume you look at casinos with the best bonuses (taking into account wager requirements) and lowest house edges. That would push the guys who offer slots way down, as there's no provably fair with slots, terrible house edges and all kinds of scandals over jackpots.

How about a better definition for best?
10262  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: April 01, 2018, 10:46:22 AM
We're working on the integration of 300+ new games for BitDice including Slots, Video Poker, Keno, Scratch Card, Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat etc.

I'll make further announcements once we're closer to being ready with the integration!

300 is really a lot.  It would look better to add them slowly each time few new games. But of course it is easier to add all at once. So suddenly number of games will go x5+.  Sounds like crypto. Tongue

Sounds like crypto indeed! I'd definitely love more variations to a single game (say dice!) as dice games across the board all look kind of the same. I know a lot of us would love to compete against each other, not necessarily PvP but perhaps a sort of option where we could open up group leaderboards and compete in separate "quest" categories... first one to like roll 3 in a row, or even first to reach wager on 2x or more, stuff like that. Looking forward!

And oh, if BD goes full segwit on those games, I'll even use it as my own wallet Wink
10263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 01, 2018, 09:13:34 AM
So are we moving again? I woke up to no fud posts and the price rising. Smiley closed my long right before the slight retrace.

Anyone got any info to drop? Should I spend my last btc now or wait for another bear week?

Way back when we were guessing $777 I thought there would be bear till mid Feb and March would be bull but I lagged that severely (CME had a much more pronounced effect than any of us imagined) so I'm expecting the real bull here soon. If those fucking Futures scumbags hadn't got involved then this shit would not had gotten so tough to predict.

I know right? I have been getting really, really weary of FUD and it seems like I am holding three coins in my biggest percentage of portfolios, all getting their share of crazy deathwishes. I couldn't find anything fresh today either, so maybe the trolls really are celebrating Easter and have good tidings or at least laying off the bad news for now. I got in a little bit more of my precious btc to pack up my Monero. Ready for the bull if it comes, won't mind if it doesn't.

The futures guys have it coming!
10264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ GIVEAWAY [2] - Lifetime Palm Beach Confidential subscription [$4500 prize] on: March 31, 2018, 01:15:57 PM
Been a while since I saw this Palm Beach Confidential spam in my inbox. Perhaps they really did unsubscribe me after possibly my third request to be removed.

If something like this is so valuable, users should consider a few things:
- why are subscriptions always given away for free?
- if profits are always made, as claimed in the multiples of x10 and more, why would they want measly subscription fees?
- if the people really are reputable, why is their audience not even crypto? Have a look at their Facebook to see what I mean.
10265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A different speculation: Innovative and unique coins on: March 31, 2018, 11:35:36 AM

2. An established coin which is hitting innovation or solving current issues on it's road map in the next few months

maybe waves is the answer from the 2nd questions above,,
because in Winter–Spring 2018 Smart contracts will coming to wavesplatform  Wink
there are a lot of similar projects, but it is very difficult to predict which of them will really have great prospects. And nevertheless, despite everything that is happening on the market, I still trust the efirium anyway and I consider it at least the most promising and practical platform.

Oh yes, I've been reading about some small moves with Waves, after a long wait it's great to finally see such things. Price won't move anyhow, it still takes time. But with projects like Panthos partnering with Waves (talk about legitimate business, right?) and Waves Lab taking on a few people with good seed funding, it can only mean good things to those who wait.
10266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum having difficulties? on: March 30, 2018, 04:33:35 PM
- snip -

Thanks for taking the time to dig this up. Not that it changes my mind about holding, but it is a valid point and at least more than 1 person had some foresight to think like this, long before the market's panic set in the way it has these past few days. No one should complain or worry, this was always bound to happen at some point. Always!

The thing that has surprised me is how ETH once more dropped below $400, failing to keep up as usual with Bitcoin. People must really be feeling the pinch now, especially all those ICOs that raised ETH when it was above or near 1k.
10267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Convince me why ETH will reach back to $800-$1000 this year on: March 29, 2018, 06:39:21 PM
I don't want to sound unfaithful and negative. But I just don't see it happening. At least not this year. Maybe next year or in 2 years. I believe what happened in December when everything was rising was just a "miracle". There is no guarantee that could happen again. ETH could fall below $100-$200 and it can take 2-3 years to reach back to $1000. I think that is more realistic. But people still make crazy prediction that ETH will be 2K+ by the end of this year. I want to know people's reasoning behind this because I just can't see it happening. BTC years ago when it crashed, took couple years to recover back. This could be the case with ETH.  Also, there is no guarantee there will be mass adoption. Whales are taking enjoyable profits right now and I believe price will get lower. Then get little pump – dumped again – little pump – dumped again. Repeat. You guys are crazy if you guys think ETH will break 1k (hell even reach back to $800) by the end of this year. Maybe next year. Please pay attention to what’s been happening in the market. I just cannot see that happening logically.

Off hand. Logic does not apply to crypto. Last year's Bitcoin price at $10k? 20k? Even now at almost 8k? That's illogical.

But you're right. Just because we're getting addicted to all these highs doesn't mean that they'll come back. We're just feeling withdrawal syndroms but we should take reality back to crypto. Don't dream of $1k again. If it happens, well great. But prepare for the bear. It's here. Prepare for the winter. It's cold and the wind's still picking up.
10268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Finally found: How to find which exchange all your tokens are traded on: March 29, 2018, 11:02:15 AM
Why not make a website to feed all that data into, so people don't have to use Telegram? I've been becoming increasingly Telegram intolerant lately, with all the spam and hate and shilling going on over there. Get your app on a website, I'm sure lots of people would welcome such a service. I'm not into ERC20 tokens anymore but you never know. Once the NEM WAVES STRATIS and all the other platforms start getting their own tokens all over the place, you might get popular.
10269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting on: March 29, 2018, 06:58:42 AM
Beginner's luck from an account with negative trust. Do yourself a favor and start recording your own statistics on a third-party tipster website or start a thread here with proper tracking. Took years for the best tipsters here to build a reputation, it'll probably take you just as long and a more successful track record to attract followers.

It isn't easy at all, to warn you. I know, cause I tried MANY times and keep posting losses. Must be something to do with itchy fingers.
10270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favourite sports related altcoin, why ? on: March 28, 2018, 04:59:30 PM
I don't have one yet, but there's Owen Coin coming up, yes by ex England, Liverpool and Manchester United football player Michael Owen. I know, he wasn't a bad boy so nobody really liked him but the coin project itself feels pretty cool, merchandise maybe not so important but you can give to the charities they support.

No such coin is revolutionizing any industry, though, so don't bother.
10271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bringing Sustainability to Crypto on: March 28, 2018, 03:46:32 PM
Old, tired, argument. None of these discussions are truly looking at the benefits or advantages of Bitcoin (or crypto) as a new form of secure money that already solves so many problems of current financial systems. They're all short-sighted. Yes, I think mining as a profitable industry means that a lot of resources are being poured into it - but the benefits are not being studied at all. Yes, Visa is always quoted as the prime method we all use to conduct transactions, and it is cheaper than crypto mining. But let's fast forward into a future when mining isn't quite as profitable. Where it will chiefly be used for its original purposes of securing the network. Visa probably spends so much more on employing people and putting up security systems - that will always get more expensive as it scales.

If the arguments start getting smarter (collect more data on COST BENEFiT), then maybe it's worth bringing up again. Or shall we stop the unsustainable use of internet when libraries are greener?
10272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Being warned by Japan, the world's largest cryptocurrency Exchange "run" to EU on: March 28, 2018, 01:32:20 PM
Looks like the good old days of people running away to Europe to escape the law are returning, old money may have lost its charm but new digital money is the playground of the rich and naughty. Malta might want to look at who they associate with first before agreeing to work with anyone. But of course, fresh funding flowing into an economy that really doesn't have much is too tempting to turn away. Hope Malta does itself justice by doing things right.
10273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fundamentals of building and maintaining your crypto portfolio on: March 28, 2018, 10:53:12 AM
> We all know that exchange is not the best place for a long hold. Always to try to low risks and use secure storages like cold wallets, hardware wallets and so on. If you still want to store your assets on an exchange, divide them between 2 or 3 exchanges at least.

You can try some new crypto exchanges which adress exactly this issue by keeping most of the client funds in secure hardware storages: https://www.cryptocoindude.com/icos-april-may-2018/ For example, LCCX (London Crypto Currency Exchange) project will provide the facility to place 60-75% of client funds offline in cold storage.

Yes, that's the generic advice, but there are so many other factors to consider. For me, I still stick to normal desktop clients like electrum. They're secure enough for me, I practice good security and encryption, plus more importantly, I don't have SO much that I would need hardware wallets.

There's another thing to consider too. Hardware wallets are highly technical and can be really difficult to use. Most newbies can't even run a node what more upgrade firmware on these hardware devices.

To others, please, no need to quote all the long posts, makes it difficult to track. Will you also be contributing the blacklists of these scammers to the campaigns on this forum? Most of the spreadsheet entries are also linked to bct accounts. In fact, from there you can already tell if they are scammers, usually the accounts are new, or inactive or have nothing but bounty postings. Help clean up every place, starting with the SMAS campaign.
10275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PCL] Peculium - Speculation on: March 27, 2018, 04:52:21 PM
Hi there! I saw this thread a few months ago (can't remember) and was interested in it for a bit, but seem to have completely missed out on its launch. I have a simple question: where can I find AIEVE results history? I clicked on the link on the website and there are some links for contact, but shouldn't we be able to already see results or is AIEVE not yet a working product? Maybe a prototype to peek?
10276  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: how is cryptocurrency safe? on: March 27, 2018, 10:37:05 AM
Think you are somewhat mistaken. The NEM balances are definitely being monitored and there are even some suggestions that they have already started making their moves, though seemingly to random addresses and not sold on exchanges, from sources such as these:
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-japan-cryptocurrency-cybercrime/exclusive-coincheck-hackers-trying-to-move-stolen-cryptocurrency-executive-idUSKBN1FJ28Y

Elliptic, which was engaged to track them down, is probably going to trigger the net and report AFTER these guys are caught.
10277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes - possibility or another way to scam? on: March 26, 2018, 05:41:40 PM
Masternodes were a good innovation for security, if I recall correctly, implemented by DASH as one of the earliest examples (although they had an exploit turn up because of it). But yes, I see it more commonly now among alts, even new token only alts have tried implementing Masternodes to try and revive dropping values, since these require people to lock in their coins for a certain period of time. To me, if there is no need for it, then it shouldn't be done. It's always about extra security and extra services, but if no one is using them, then whatever for?
10278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market has returned or not? on: March 26, 2018, 04:20:10 PM
After the most bullish run in bitcoin history and the whole market cap breaking 800 billions $, what did you expect Smiley
The market was overbought or manipulated, with all the alt coins flying also very high in price, now we are still cooling down and shaking weak hands off crypto market.
Ain't nothing new, it happened also in last year but the market cap numbers were different then, see market history for the last year.
In my opinion right now the market cap is at more realistic numbers from where it can start to grow again for the new all time heights.

Precisely! People keep talking about recovery but they forgot that when Bitcoin surged past $4k, it totally forgot to correct (and no, all the mild 30% corrections last year were too fast to be considered) all the way til it almost race past $20k. This, this is now the correction and people should seriously look back a year and see that a >100% value from a year ago is still a huge, huge appreciation.

And we all knew it was going to be unhealthy long term for Bitcoin to keep increasing, taking crypto all along for the ride. It's best for everyone that this is happening now rather than even later.
10279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY POLICE DEPT. V2.0 on: March 26, 2018, 12:33:47 PM
Well done to OP and others. I am not familiar with the Russian scene, but I promise you, the bounties of other languages are just as filled with scammers. Now you cannot blame bounty moderators entirely, the scammers are getting more and more clever each time. Every time one method is caught, another is found and sometimes with hundreds of bounty participants, it can be easy to miss out a few. Remember, manual approvals are done and people are bound to make mistakes!

But kudos for weeding out scammers. I wish there were a way to permanently mark or blacklist scammers so they never again plague these forums.

My suggestions: I see BCT profiles in those lists. Inform managers or admins here of these profiles or send them Untrusted feedback so everyone knows.
10280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fundamentals of building and maintaining your crypto portfolio on: March 26, 2018, 11:42:27 AM
Quick follow up. Deviding cryptocurrencies from the point of risk level based on capitalisation is the easiest way, but not the only one. It will be better if you'll come up with yiur own grades based on personal vision.

And also, as many have argued... a pointless one, at this moment in time anyway. Then again, most people, if doing this 12 months ago, would find that had they divided up their portfolios against a well thought out strategy of mitigating risk, versus a random portfolio based on market capitalization (say, top 50) - they'd actually end up more or less at the same stage today.

There's a really big problem with crypto now to me, in that we're treating it like they've got fundamentals... when really only Bitcoin qualifies.
