10281  Economy / Speculation / Re: My bitcoin price predictions for the next 3 years on: October 16, 2017, 04:09:14 PM
Hmm. I think we've been outrageously overindulged in recent times by the near relentless spiral upwards. Obviously that was earned in the seemingly never ending bear market, but soon or already this bull market will have outlasted that.

I remember the $4-10,000 predictions for 2014 in 2013 which certainly did not make anyone look cool after the fact. Obviously those circumstances such as Gox can never be repeated but we're never to know what's around the corner.

but ones that they can control and issue.

Wut?

They don't need to create a crypto and it wouldn't be one anyway. They already have digital currencies they control and issue. There is no need to go any further as they're as far along as they need to be.

The only thing I can see happening is them following though on the world reserve they were talking about which'll be made up of a selection of currencies. Again, this has nothing to do with crypto.
10283  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-14] Bitcoin Isn’t Money — It’s Like Diamonds on: October 16, 2017, 01:40:29 PM
Even price was more than 10,000 $ bitcoin will never be like  Diamonds Because  Diamonds is real money and can be buy all over world but bitcoin Depend only to trust

You serious? Try walking around any major city in the world with a diamond and the need to sell it and see how much money you end up with. It'll be far, far less than what you were conned into paying for it.
10284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: October 16, 2017, 01:38:26 PM
There was probably mistake from traders side. XLM (Stellar Lumens) is pumped incredibly (for now 168%) and XLM looks similar to XEM (for those with eyes problems and lack of knowledge) so i think some dumbasses make a mess here.

That's so pathetic I'd say it was almost certainly true.
10285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: October 15, 2017, 10:46:54 PM
NEM will rise like phoenix from ashes after Bitcoin fork, don't worry Smiley

hope it rises quickly.. daily watching the price and its killing me..
bought at 5900 sat

Every alt fan will have to wait for BTC to finish its fireworks first. You may find even if it hits 6000 you'll have exactly the same dollar value as now.

Here is the secret nobody wants you to know: Every country has a sex industry. Odds are your city has at least one brothel.

I live in a town of 1200 people. Even this place has a sex industry, though she's retired now. She's the proud mother of two odd looking fellas of mystery parentage. We're all very proud of her.
10287  Economy / Goods / Re: How To Buy A Car With Bitcoin on: October 15, 2017, 06:25:11 PM
Bitpremier is dead.

This type of topic gets on my nerves because people are adjusting their expectations, or paying too much or traveling too much purely for the honour of paying in BTC. This is not how it should be. Theses people are not doing you favours. You are in control.

Go to a car dealer with a car you like, any car dealer, and tell them you're only interested in buying with Bitcoin. If they won't accept BTC directly, and of course most won't, then you force them to contact a payment processor like Bitpay or Coinbase. It's their job to make it seamless for the dealer. The dealer has nothing to lose.

You roll away in the car you always wanted while also propagating Bitcoin a little further while also getting the right deal. Job done.
10288  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Regulation in Russia on: October 15, 2017, 06:14:00 PM
I have completely lost interest in anything Russia has to say about crypto. Not one threat has been carried out. The few positive noises haven't been acted on either.

When they actually put something into law then perhaps we'll begin to get a coherent picture. Until then it's one tedious little dog barking to no effect.
10289  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of Lithuania Discourages Financial Institutions From Dealing w Virtual Curr on: October 15, 2017, 06:11:05 PM
I do find it curious how little thought is given to the precariousness of banking relationships in crypto. Most banks I'm sure would rather not be having anything to do with it.

It really wouldn't take much for some of the banking hubs to reject crypto business and the entire scene takes an enormous hit. There's P2P of course but that's not going to replace what's here currently.
10290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: October 15, 2017, 02:33:42 PM
To understand Bitcoin you need to understand money. Hardly anyone understands money even though it completely dominates every life out there.

The people who are entrenched in the traditional money business are most vociferously against it because they know it'll expose their operations as the fraud they are.

Here's the relevant Henry Ford quote - "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

Then there's also good ignorance and resistance to change. And let's not forget the straightforward jealousy of early adopters.
10291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Infographic: Why Bitcoin Skyrocketed this week on: October 15, 2017, 10:37:25 AM
I was believing about acceptance of bitcoin on Amazon, but wasn't able to find any official announcement from the team.

That was one suggestion from one crypto creep who was trying to sell access to some paid newsletter. Pathetic that so many people fell for it. It's one of the oldest bits of non news possible.
10292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Bittrex? I want a decentralized exchange desperately on: October 15, 2017, 10:34:56 AM
Unfortunately Iranians and arse kissing Western companies like most exchanges will never be able to mix. Unless there was a fool proof way of disguising my location I wouldn't go anywhere near any exchange from Iran.

There's no excuse for them to freeze your coins though. They should release them and end the relationship. My guess is that they're more worried about releasing coins and triggering some future US government response than uniting someone with their own money.
10293  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-14] Bitcoin Isn’t Money — It’s Like Diamonds on: October 15, 2017, 10:17:31 AM
The diamond comparison is a genuinely shit one.

The diamond market is rigged. You can't sell them for what you paid for them. New supplies open up regularly. Artificial diamonds are getting better all the time.

Convincing people that diamonds are desirable, rare and worth what the cartels ask for them is one of the greatest marketing sleights of hand of recent times.
10294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Industry Experts Believe Bitcoin Headed to $6,000 on: October 15, 2017, 09:56:42 AM
I've always relied on industry experts to secure that final microscopic percentage that I was looking for. Great work, guys. We're all very proud of your wonderful prediction.
10295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Infographic: Why Bitcoin Skyrocketed this week on: October 15, 2017, 09:55:20 AM
Bitcoin Gold is going to be a non event. I still don't believe S2X will actually happen. As it stands at the moment there's no incentive left for anyone. It's definitely not seamlessly replacing BTC.

Bitcoin will deflate and alts will bob upwards again when it becomes clear that this is the case.
10296  Economy / Speculation / Re: At It Again: Dimon Breaks Vow, Says Bitcoin Buyers Are Stupid on: October 14, 2017, 11:41:13 PM
I believe Warren Buffet fudded btc back in 2014 so he could buy cheap coins and maybe this guy is trying to do the same. At any rate I question the motives of every so called expert who says buying btc is a terrible idea.
The banking system won't be going away anytime soon, it will be many more years before crypto is used exclusely by the massses and isn't measured against fiat - if this happens at all.

I can well believe Warren Buffet meant what he said. He didn't invest in a single tech stock until recently, and even now it's only Apple and IBM, so why on Earth would he leapfrog all of that and dive straight into something as outrageously fringe as BTC?
10297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 14, 2017, 11:38:16 PM
18000 thousand pages ?

Can bitcoin marketcap get bigger than all the energy producers combined?

what's the estimate energy consumption of btc network now (and global crypto)?

edit: I just missed it...

I can remember the battle for 10,000 pages. For some reason it was deeply bothering someone and they were deleting masses of posts to stop it from happening. I assume their autistic spazfest fizzled out or they simply couldn't hold back the tide any longer.

And we will soon nudge $6000 by the looks of things.
10298  Economy / Speculation / Re: At It Again: Dimon Breaks Vow, Says Bitcoin Buyers Are Stupid on: October 13, 2017, 11:23:15 PM
We need to find out what his daughter's Bitcoin address is and pummel her with some extra coinage just to really get on his nerves.

I assume he's got his own address too but he's not going to reveal that for a few extra years yet. I'm also assuming he's signed up for a sig campaign on here for his idle moments.
10299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help on: October 13, 2017, 11:06:17 PM
There are lots of platforms around then that are still around today.

How did you pay? If it was bank transfer that'll throw up very different options compared to Paypal or a card.

The above is his special gift just for us. His attitude is adorably 2012 ish. Let him carry on until he's blue in the face. More fun for us to look back on in the future.
