10341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These 3 Factors Drive the Zcash Hype on: December 14, 2016, 12:55:20 AM
It has been no mean feat for Zcash to generate the kind of enthusiasm it has, much of it before it even launched.

On October 27, a day before the official launch, Arthur Hayes, a market analyst and CEO at the trading platform BitMEX, speaking to CoinDesk, described the enthusiasm for Zcash as “deafening.” He said:
"No one wants to miss the next bitcoin or ether. Everyone is trying to get their hands on ZEC."

You can read more info here:  https://coinidol.com/these-3-factors-drive-the-zcash-hype/

What do you think about Zcash?

What do I think about zcash? Well let me see. It is really a bitcoin clone with a built in tumbler. The technology that they developed called zk-snarks is really not that practical to use as said by bitcoin expert Peter Todd. The original developers intended for this to be built on top of bitcoin but they made a decision to have their own tokens in the middle of the development process. I wonder why.

So insightful. Bravo! Except id like to see bitcoin do it and we know it wont ever so even though this is a big hype scam if the tech is legit it will be big one day.

The tech is legit? It is not legit according to long time bitcoin developer Peter Todd. Zk-Snark is relatively weak and turned out to be "totally broken". That is his own words. There are other issues and concerns with zcash that potential investors here need to know.

Read this blog https://petertodd.org/2016/cypherpunk-desert-bus-zcash-trusted-setup-ceremony#disclaimers

So before you fully support a coin that you think is worth making a sock puppet account for. Do your research first.
10342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero's ANON FAIL ! on: December 14, 2016, 12:46:43 AM
So i have a few questions..

If ANON was needed so badly why did the dev's not submit the idea to the Bitcoin core dev's foundation etc ?
Was it because they knew it would be rejected ?

Seems to me i am not the only one who has rejected this anon coin idea huh ?
Otherwise BTC would have anon code in it already mirroring what Monero is doing.

I love how they patronize everyone and say it's needed.. but the entire Bitcoin world rejects them.
Not just .. Spoetnik  Cheesy

Instead they felt the need to create a NEW coin and tack on ANON features..
Rather than trying to get the ANON code integrated into BTC.

Hmm i wonder why ? Any idea why people ?
Why is it they would want to start a new coin ? hmmmm ? Maybe Risto can answer he bought LOTS of them and controls the coin.

Yeah.. the guy with the Pink Bentley who lives in a castle.

So what do we see bottom line ?
Want Morono's ? well guess what ? you need to buy them.. with Bitcoin  Cheesy
Yup.. Bitcoin hahahhahahah

AND ...

You can line up at Poloniex the official shitcoin exchange for them to buy them clutching your picture ID.

So Profiteers.. do you see through this retarded little facade ?

You miss the point. Anonymity is not in the road map for bitcoin because it has its own problems with scaling and the growing size of the blockchain. I also do not agree that there is no need for another coin that has anonymity implemented. There is. Look at it this way, Monero is a real world live testnet for bitcoin.
10343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 22: VanZant vs Waterson on: December 14, 2016, 12:36:52 AM
Or both Urijah and Brad play it safe and be in a boring fight. They are doing this more to get that last pay check from the UFC and move on with their lives. The Bisping versus Henderson fight was the same. Dan was already going to retire and did not give that extra effort to win the fight. It was so close.

The main event here is sexy. This is one of the only events I am looking forward to that is not pay per view.
10344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to do a coin distribution? on: December 13, 2016, 01:49:30 AM
Hello, I just finished a project I started a few months ago. I created a coin from scratch 100% new code, but I was wondering what is the best way to distribute it fairly.

Even though some of you do not like ICOs I think it is one of the best methods because it prevents false accounts from getting coins like what happens in a free distribution.

I was thinking of doing a small ICO and maybe raise like 10 btc to fund a year of development. What are your thoughts?

Edit: the coin is 100% proof of stake

Then you have a big problem. The only fair way for distribution is for energy to be utilized to acquire those rewards or coins. So like bathrobehero said, non ASIC POW is the way. Most of the "supporters" and "developers" of POS are really out there to scam the community. Maybe ICO/POS coins were invented with the no.1 purpose of scamming. I know that is arguable but it is also possible.

10345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: December 13, 2016, 01:40:35 AM
@eaLiTy. Yes it is a good card and some also argue that UFC 207 will be as big as UFC 206 in money collected.

Cain versus Fabricio is funny. Both fighters come directly from a win from Travis Browne. It is also said that Cain has a surgery scheduled after this fight. I tried to research what that surgery might be but it did not say. Could it be his old meniscus injury in the right knee? A torn meniscus is a bit painful but it will not restrict motor function. If he is hiding a more fight affecting injury, maybe Fabrico is a good bet.
10346  Economy / Services / Re: FortuneJack.com NEW Campaign – Earn up to 0.2 BTC A Month!!! Weekly Payments. on: December 13, 2016, 01:16:08 AM
Your campaign is full of spammers who do not know what they are posting. Look at this post. He has the results in reverse! You are wasting your time on all these spammers.

When I look at the statistics then Aldo is more entitled to win this fight: Aldo 26-2 vs. Holloway 19-4

Also Holloway is fishing from a loser position after his lost his last fight vs Pettis.

Aldo won his last fight vs McGregor - it might be a huge confidence boost for him.

Conclusion: Jose Aldo will be a winner here.

My suggestion is since you are paying the highest for your campaign why not hire only the best posters.

Are those results you posted come from the Bizzaro UFC division? You got them in reverse. If you really are not a fan of the UFC please refrain from posting the wrong information and avoid spamming the thread.

This is expected from Aldo. He will be wanting to fight again and be in the lime light. I can see him calling out Conor after that fight assuming he won it. I also speculate that Bisping will also defend his belt against Yoel Romero for the co main event.
10348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis Prediction and Info Thread on: December 13, 2016, 01:03:30 AM
Cub Swanson vs Choi is fight of the year!  It's been a while since I watched a battle like this in the UFC.  Lawler vs Rory Mac Donald come to mind seeing how tough these two guys are.  I wish there will be a rematch soon.  Definitely want to see them fight again.
I expected a good fight from Doo Ho Choi and we got a fight of the year hands down .Cub Swanson made a point here by winning the match and he fought really well and i am yet to watch the match again as i just want to watch it again to fully enjoy the ride  Smiley but i thought Doo Ho Choi could knock Cub Swanson out and i was wrong since the only man to knock Cub Swanson is the great Jose Aldo.  Smiley

I had my doubts that Cub Swanson will hold his own versus Choi. But an opponent like Cub is a huge jump in skill and experience for Choi.

In other news Anthony Pettis has given up on the quest for the feather weight title because the weight cut is too much for him. But he is going back to light weight. I speculate that he will retire within the next 2 years because he cannot beat the contenders in light weight anymore.

Now the latest round of news about Mercedes' search for a driver has a new development. It is now said that Valteri Bottas is on pole to become the new Mercedes driver to partner with Lewis Hamilton. That is maybe the most practical choice for a 2nd driver. He is good enough to garner points for the team but he does not have a big ego that might upset Lewis.
10350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weird question, but please answer. Coin's to hold for 6 years. I'm going to jail on: December 12, 2016, 12:33:03 AM
Hello, community.

Today i lost my last chances for freedom. This is nearly 100% is tomorrow i will go to the jail for the next 6 years.

I have near $15000 and want to buy some coins. What do you think which one should i buy? I already bought eth and gnt.

Only hold bitcoin to be safe. You do not want to go out of jail and realize that the coins you held are all scams and are worth 0. This will make you really angry and look for the people responsible and might do something really bad to them causing you to go back to jail again. Grin

Here is the latest news floating around in the internet. According to Fernando Alonso's manager, Fernando will not join Mercedes and that he will see out his contract with McClaren. I have a strong feeling Mercedes' 2nd driver will be Pascal Wehrlein. He is good and ready for that drive in my opinion.
10353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis Prediction and Info Thread on: December 12, 2016, 12:15:23 AM
That was a good and clean performance by Max Holloway and a bad loss for Anthony Pettis' career. He cannot be a contender in the light weight division and he cannot make the weight in feather weight. Anthony is in limbo now and this could be the start of his deterioration in MMA.

Max has also said that he wants to fight Jose Aldo at UFC 208 for the unification of the titles.
10354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experts indicate 2017 to be the year of anonymity but who will be crowned king? on: December 11, 2016, 02:57:57 AM
Monero is still the best choice for me. They are developing the coin in true open source fashion without much fuss and fake public relations. Their development team is lean and consistent. I do not know why people hate them. Maybe the haters are from the group where it was forked from?

I am not sure who the original developers are. So if anyone knows please post Monero's history here.
10355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which feature/service would make you permanently ditch bitcoin for an altcoin? on: December 11, 2016, 02:52:31 AM

I'm genuinely interested in knowing which key feature, or service available through it,
would make (or already has made) someone permanently choose an altcoin over bitcoin?

disclaimer: i'm currently developing one, but i'm not looking here for the "1 million dollar answer" just want to see what other people think,
also the whitepaper is already available and don't plan on making any changes before it's operating.

Eveyone has tried to make up and invent features to try to be the next bitcoin and all have failed. Some of them became irrelevant but most became scams because it is either the developers made it a scam midway or a scam right from the beginning.

If your altcoin is not a scam, believe me one of these will happen. It will become a scam midway, it is a scam right from the beginning, or it will fail. The first 2 options are the best for you.
10356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 11, 2016, 12:45:25 AM
@Nivir. For me it will. It is just one of those things in trading altcoins. When you least expect it, it will then happen. We have seen this happen many times. It could also fall below 8 mBTC if the weakness continues. But it does not mean the happy days have already ended.
10357  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: December 11, 2016, 12:40:10 AM
I do not know what some people are talking about when they say that 1XBit scammed them. I have not encountered a major problem with the site when making a withdrawal. There were delays but the bitcoins always arrived in my wallet.

It might be good for 1XBit to tell us what the user and the reason why he had his funds locked in the site. There are surely people out there who are trying to cheat and take advantage of the system.
10358  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITCOIN SPORTS BETTING SITE RANKINGS - USER GENERATED on: December 11, 2016, 12:35:15 AM
Please add 1XBit and give it a score of 3.5. I know I am participating in their signature campain bit I am using their site too. It is how I discovered the site to be honest.

Some of the odds they are offering are better compared to other sportsbooks, so it is became one of my favorite sites aside from nitrogensports.eu and betcoin.ag. They have a few minor improvements to do like making a deposit and history panel and an option to add new bitcoin addresses which became standard with bitcoin sportsbooks.
10359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMP Greg Meredith - Tyrant or Emotional Genius?? should he stay or should he GO? on: December 10, 2016, 12:48:02 AM
It is now showing that people are people and that if you trust them with your money, they will surely get corrupted and will think of ways to fraud people and claim it for their own enrichment. Synereo is now starting to look like a scam now. I feel sorry to those who bought AMP during the ICO.
10360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 10, 2016, 12:43:12 AM
@azguard. For me Pascal Wehrlein has the best chance to get the vacant drive. There is a site called oddschecker.com that has the odds of who the next Mercedes driver will be. Pascal is the most favorite followed by Valteri Bottas and then Fernando Alonso.
