10362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could bitcoin be permanently eliminated ? on: May 23, 2014, 05:10:38 PM
Once you lose access to the private keys they're gone, but it's not reasy feasible to buy up all the coins.

10364  Other / Meta / Re: How is Activity calculated here? on: May 23, 2014, 02:01:03 PM
You get a max of 14 activity points every two week period. Next period starts on Tuesday.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

You can move it there yourself at the bottom left of the thread.
10368  Other / New forum software / Re: Notification when you are quoted? on: May 23, 2014, 10:02:49 AM
Yeah, I've thought about that before and it would be a good feature. Maybe you should suggest it for the new forum software in the sub here in meta.
10369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question related to Escrow. on: May 23, 2014, 09:30:35 AM
Anyone can offer to be one but it's pointless using them unless they've built up some rep and trust, otherwise you might as well not even bother using one.
10370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to calculate Cryptocurrency price value? on: May 23, 2014, 09:24:49 AM
The price is calculated on by what people are paying for them. Sites like preev take the average for several sites, so yeah, supply and demand essentially.
10371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question related to Escrow. on: May 23, 2014, 09:17:29 AM
Buyer sends money to escrow, you send item to buyer, escrow sends funds to you.
what is Escrow? lol is he a person? (noob q again)
I want full details
like how to use it and such things.

On here an escrow agent is usually a trusted user, but there are escrow companies. There's a list of forum escrowers here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133931.0

You didn't need to quote the entire op, but message a mod or the mods of the Chinese board if that's true and I'm sure they'll be dealt with. Might want to check on liuhuitime's posts as well. Obviously to non-Chinese speakers it's hard to tell wether they're constructive or spam.

0.04 btc received! I also posted trust feedback in your profile.

PS- why is my feedback for him one of the two that fall under "trusted feedback", when most other feedback are under "untrusted feedback"? I never understood how this works.
You are always in the trusted list, because, well, you trust yourself right? I see myself on the trusted feedback part as well, but I know that others won't see it that way. Wink

I'm at the same block of Hilariousandco on this. This trust system is really confusing. If u look at Ritz's trust, he has got equal no. of +ve & -ve feedback. But, still he shows in red. I dont really get it.

People who are on the trusted list's feedback holds more weight. If you're not on there then your feedback is untrusted until you are.
10374  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Ban "Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App" on: May 23, 2014, 07:15:26 AM
I've never seen that happen before. I know it's probably there by default, but wont you be able to turn it off in the settings or is it locked in?

You're only visibly in the trusted section to yourself as you obviously 'trust' your own ratings. It is a confusing system though.
10376  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 22, 2014, 08:44:51 PM
has there been discussion anywhere about what the best deal is for different situations? with all the different rates for different ranks, per post vs per month, it is all so confusing!! i just took a shot and went with updown.bt...

Only you will know what is best for you so you'll have to look at them and work it out. UpDown.bt is the best deal if you make a lot of posts but if you only make around 50 or so one of the fixed payment deals will be probably be better suited for you.
10377  Other / Meta / Re: How to remove or change avatar ?? on: May 22, 2014, 07:19:27 PM
Why can't people have avatars? and when will it be back  Undecided ?

They were disabled due to an exploit and they probably won't be back until the new forum software.

10379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: May 22, 2014, 05:36:09 PM
I just watched Lawless not too long ago:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1212450/

I actually really enjoyed it.

Yeah it was pretty good. Great performances apart from Shia Labouf  Cheesy (who was just average). Gary Oldman was underused in it though. Was only in it for 5 minutes  Angry.

I don't think I've seen any movies is a couple of weeks. Might watch one or two over the weekend.
10380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Autumn Radtke murdered due to something she knew about Brock Pierce, et al.? on: May 22, 2014, 04:48:36 PM

Boy, the bitcoins I would pay to be 51 and have a young juicy 27-year-old cock in my mouth while lying on my back on the cool Sahara Sands at the base of the Pyramid of Khufu under an eclipsed moon. BRB, getting a fresh cup of coffee.  Wink

Well done, Bruno. I think you just made  me laugh for the first time  Cheesy. Still don't know what this has to do with Bitcoins though.
