You should first do some research on the coins in market and then the trading market. Learn to make proper deals and learn the methods of trading properly. You may make mistakes and be sure to learn from them. Buy altcoins when the price is low and sell them when price is high. Make sure to have a proper amount of capital and backup stocked up as well. I would not look into ETC again since I always have a gut feeling that more forks are coming soon and that theses guys are just another pump and dump scheme. However the analysis is good but still it does not convince me since I have seen better and worse things.

People may think that fiat will become useless but that is not so because of the current popularity of bitcoin being so low in several undeveloped, being developed countries where the below-poverty line population is huge. They dont even know about computers, they like green cash and not some cybergeek money which floats in thin air - they have to work hard to earn money as well and they are not educated much. There will never accept bitcoin and hence fiat will still remain largely popular throughout the world for at least a century.

You can earn a lot from this forum itself through offering services and once you get trusted here more people will come to you. Also try to increase your rank and then apply on a signature campaign where you can earn money by making constructive (not spammy though). Also you can earn from faucet and ptc sites and their referral commissions.

Bitcointalk is a good place to get information and news about bitcoins. However be very careful from scammers, spammers, phishers and malware injected links posted here and there. Use them at your own risk. But apart from that stay safe from thieves who often post in the Marketplace and Lending section even with green trust (because those accounts were hacked/sold). Some people here have not understood the topic the OP has actually posted. Gambling your money is one thing and investing in a casino bankroll is different. While gambling will be a loss in the long run, investing in the casino bankroll is not so. However you should also be ready to lose some if some high roller wins a lot since you have a share of the casino bankroll. However investing a small amount is not bad and is worth doing in reputed casino site - recommend you do research about it before doing it.

Try to work around the forum to get a higher member status and some positive trust. Though getting trust if tough in real life getting the higher status is not that tough. Then join a signature campaign and make money from there. Along with that if you have some good skills in any field maybe you can get yourself a job online which pays you in bitcoin.

It is a good idea but I do not support it because most of the investment schemes are just fake ponzi scams where they run for a certain period of time till the higher members reap a large volume of money and then suddenly disappear. Be aware of them - they promise to provide you with huge benefits  in short period of time which is their tagline.

Well this does not help me at all because my country does not have even a single local bitcoin accepting bitcoin store. Bigger e-Commrce companies do accept it but still the local markets have never even heard of it.

You can try trading with the btc that you have. If you can find some good deals at your local marketplace or online on coinbase and all you should be able to make some profit. But be careful of scammers and cheaters. Also you can try lending some bitcoins to trusted users and there also be careful of cheaters. Try to invest some in some business of some sort and maintain in it so to reap profits from that too.

You can earn profit from trading if you have done proper research and keeping tabs on the current market trend. Dont be greedy and and think before you act. You should also keep a detailed log about you ongoing trades and how long you want to continue them and the profit generated. Trust in traders is also an important issue.

It is possible from you local markets on a low cost for high volume of bitcoin. But exchanging fiat into btc or "buying btc" may not significantly give you large volume with respect to the amount of money you put in to buy them.

However some exchanges have limitations on btc bought/sold. Taxation aspects of bitcoin is shady in my country and hence be cautious about that too and make proper inquiries.

It really hurts to download the 7 years of blockchain on slow and turtle-speed internet connections like in my country. However as an alternative you can use Multibit-HD wallet which is very much compact ans useful since id does not need to download the entire 20GB+ blockchain.

Otherwise the need for the entire block ledger is there since that what is needed to understand the distribution of coins and for new transactions.

Trading has similarities with gambling since it requires both skills and sometimes pure luck. Those lucky people who back in 2008 has bought about 10k BTC are the millionaires today. In our local currency they are the rich people who were lucky. However skills come into play when market becomes predictable. Hence both are important in profitable trading.

Trading is a good method to earn. If you can buy some coins when the price is low and then sell it when price goes up you can make profits. However holding the coins is important and its sometimes very unpredictable. Hence do trading with caution. Also you can try trading coins for fiat in your local marketplace with reputed traders.
