1041  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New scam technique on Telegram. on: October 16, 2019, 12:26:36 AM
This is an old trick by scammers but maybe new to you, There's only one thing to remember to avoid this scammer, Remember Admin never DM first unless he mentions it on the group that he will DM you. If someone DM you. No matter what he/she say for sure he's a scammer/thief. You can verify by going to the group find the admin with admin tag send a message if no history for sure the person that pm you first is a scammer.
Experienced the same trick tho, It happens a few months back. Scammers really trying to persuade and take advantage of the people who will be baited by this trick. Scammer keeps finding new method in order to take advantage of us and the way we can about this is to get extra careful on our surroundings and informing others about the method that the scammers do in order for others to be aware of the possibilities that they might be scammed.
Yes, this is a good initiative by OP informing who are new to these industries and can be easily deceived by these scammer/bad actors.
I want to add something. Some scammers are too aggressive they even create a copy of the telegram group and make themselves look like a legit admin. So we need to check the telegram group also if it is official you can verify it by going on their website usually found on the bottom of the page, social media links.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My list of 5 Sleeping Giants of 2020 :) on: October 16, 2019, 12:00:22 AM
Good review I will be checking these coins too, I think Nano formerly XRB is one of the sleeping giants too, Last Bullrun its price I think reaches $30 + and now only $0.8 +. Nano is an ultrafast, fee-less and decentralized network. Are we seeing a huge jump from these coins or not? Who knows.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unable to send BTC - Incorrect Password on: October 15, 2019, 09:31:28 PM
I have 0.05 BTC in my account but I am unable to transfer them. I have multiple previous transfers. I did not make any changes. But bow it says incorrect password. Does anyone know how I can get help?
Have you fixed this? Incorrect password is a minor problem if you have the email you can easily reset it but it depends on the wallet like blockchain wallet you cannot reset password with a seed phrase. But if you have the private keys you can import it to any wallets that have an import feature.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What needs to happen in order for bitcoin to replace gold on: October 15, 2019, 09:18:24 PM
You are comparing two different things bitcoin will not replace gold or any other assets because they are not on the same classification or category. Yes, it has the ability to pass gold marketcap I think gold has a trillion marketcap. Last thing I can say Bitcoin is not backed by anything.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's going to get harder for alts to list on the big exchanges on: October 15, 2019, 08:43:36 PM
Well, this is great I hope many top or decent exchanges will join their move this really benefits us all. It will minimize some scam projects to be listed, We all know that scammers and bad actors sometimes will gamble and willing to pay the fees on exchanges just to list and then exit scam. For sure more verification and review will be done on this process.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: p2pb2b exchange top 1? on: October 13, 2019, 11:44:05 PM
Last time I check p2pb2b is a lonely exchange no traders. But now like anybody says I think it has been boosted just by bots so it is not real volume, anyone knows which exchange has good and real volume. Coinmarketcap only shows this because thats what the exchange API are telling them but it is just a manipulation.

1053  Economy / Gambling / Re: Email SCAM: "receive Free Bitcoin and Ethereum With Bitcasino" on: October 09, 2019, 08:50:54 PM
I  also receive some emails similar to this, remember to always check where the email is coming from and verify it to their support. Reach out them on social media like twitter, Telegram if there is something suspicious. Don't ever click sensitive links to avoid phishing.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 09, 2019, 08:14:09 PM
Fiat and Crypto Currencies should co-exist they will not replace its other. For me, crypto is better when transacting across border different countries. Fiat is better when buying on the open market there is no delay. Crypto payments are also good in malls and other establishments. I heard china will tokenize their national currencies I'm excited what will be the result.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra the new crypto king on: October 09, 2019, 07:51:14 PM
Interesting news from Devcon. Libra will be forked and will be created OpenLibra on Tendermit blockchain.
https://www.coindesk.com/new-libra-fork-will-create-permissionless-stablecoin-free-of-corporate-control

I hope this cryptocurrency will be free from any regulatory restrictions.

OpenLibra might be better than Libra  Grin “There is no token sale. No equity and no company behind this initiative.” People like decentralization. That's the problem with Libra they are not decentralized and our privacy is not guaranteed.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bad developers have tarnished ICO! on: October 09, 2019, 06:15:56 PM
Yes, the downfall of ICO's is these fake developers, bad actors. It is very easy to create some token on Ethereum network, you can easily copy some projects smart-contract code. Are you familiar with Selfdrop smartcontract, you will send some eth on their address and you will get the token automatically depending on the amount you invest, these are very common scam motives last 2017-2018 and ruin the name of ICO.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency? on: October 09, 2019, 04:56:28 PM
I can think of only few things why the cryptocurrency is better. You can send money anywhere in the world as long as there is internet by using just your mobile phones very convenient. And the transaction only costs a few dollars or cents. Unlike banks taking some huge fees.

Price niya sa lazada is 9k + lang super sulit nga to.
Just a suggestion and my own opinion lang.

May natitipuhan ako which is Xiaomi redmi note 7 or Realme 3. Grin

Hello, kakabili ko lang ng new phone. Huawei Nova 5t, 18990Php, when it comes to gaming panalo siya kasi 8gb ram tapos 128gb pa ang memory.

1060  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Nova Exchange is closed on: October 09, 2019, 10:56:13 AM
I was a user till 2017 I guess, but when the ownership changed I haven't even visited Nova.
So not sure the new owners changed the terms to MUST KYC after 2017 - please let me know if they changed.

I'm just wondering about two things,
-- they have given little time for withdrawals which is till 25th OCT 2019 23:59 (CEST)
-- forcing for KYC (No identification - No withdrawal) when they are closing.

If they had KYC terms before the closing announcement then it's not what I'm worried about, but if the term is introduced just after closing announcement then it might be something to ?.
So many small exchanges now are closing I think they almost have no volume at all. Just read about their terms of service just now. So KYC is required now, but before it is not required right? If I am right they are playing-wise. What's the point of KYC if they are closing. Some traders that hate KYC will be rekt.
