1042  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 400 Merchants Na Ang Tumatanggap ng Bitcoin Through Pouch on: June 12, 2023, 03:01:23 PM

1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 12, 2023, 09:34:37 AM
It was a consequence for sure if you don't gamble responsively I mean this is probably a debt thing and probably the worst thing that you could do in gambling is to loan and gamble it. It might be a good start if you win but your problem will be huge if you lose your money anyway. Surely he has some mental problems kidnapping your granddaughter for gambling is not something that you're going to think of as a normal person, he's eaten by his gambling habits and it's getting out of hand.

I know a lot of gambling addicts that gamble a lot probably every day they don't care if they lose the money but it's a great thing if they win, but this kind of thing doesnt even landed on their minds once. Some just of my friends just want to get entertain and have some fun but they steal to gamble or kill anything that is against the law.
When someone gets old, they already start losing their ability to think critically or have enough understanding and control over their emotions, and on top of that if someone is addicted to gambling, that is a deadly combination and that is what this guy had, he was old and addicted to gambling, so when he needed money to gamble or maybe had to pay loans taken from somewhere, he went for something this evil.

You lose the ability to think when you are under too much tension or stress, all you keep thinking about is how you can get out of the situation that you've got yourself into, and a lot of evil thoughts come into your mind but it depends on how much control you have on your thoughts and feelings to avoid those thoughts and ideas.

Really sad to see people get eaten by gambling and making a lot of wrong decisions in life, Suppose it might connect to being a man taking all of their problems by themself, I mean if he tells this problem to his family I really doubt that this is still going to happen When men tend to hide their problems they just solve it by them self and starting to make wrong decisions, but if their share their problem it could help a lot and his family can easily help him solved his dept, whatever it is they are still family so they'll help each other.

Still difficult to think that people can go this far, to the point of doing something to their own granddaughter I mean I see all grandmothers and grandfathers as loving people maybe because they are already old they just think of taking care of their family because they still can.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the best career for women on: June 12, 2023, 08:24:07 AM
Bitcoin's popularity is increasing day by day. Now in today's society both men and women are working shoulder to shoulder together in the office. No exception to this, women are also very interested in Bitcoin and current Bitcoin. The reason for interest is that when a woman works in an office, it becomes a bit difficult for her to juggle family and children. In today's society we see many working women leave their children with the workers and go to office, those children are abused by the workers. I think all the sisters who have chosen this bitcoin as their profession should not face such problems. Because after all the children's work and household chores, there will be enough time to devote to bitcoins. So choosing Bitcoin as a career can be a good decision for girls.

First of all, Bitcoin is not a career, Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency. I mean yeah I get your point here since women can take care of their children at home and at the same time they can just do Bitcoin. Yeah, it was great but you're already assumed that all workers are abusive actually you could get a decent house worker to take care of your children with good pay they might taking good care of and needs of your children could lessen your load if your having difficulties with your child, Also when you buy or invest in Bitcoin you don't really need to work on it every day you could just buy Bitcoin and forget about it then occasionally just check the market It doesnt really need you to be on it 24/7 unless you want to do daily trading which is very stressful for women.

You could easily solve this problem if the woman has a flexible job something like a work-from-home or remote job would work since they can take care of her children and at the same time do her job at home.

1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 11, 2023, 04:14:39 AM
This is actually a great strategy but there is no perfect strategy for gambling anyway since you can't accurately make a strategy when you're going to win all the time, But it is obviously better to have this strategy for sure than just depositing money and just starting to gamble lose everything. I guess you could start anyway without this strategies since gambling was just for fun and it was suppose to test your luck anyway.

  • Choose a game
  • Create a logical system
  • Record the data of the bet
  • Try the demo of the game to practice
  • Do bankroll management
  • Make sure that you have enough money for gambling(play only what you can afford to lose)
  • Put a limit to losses
  • Listen to the advice of the winning pros
  • Focus on our bet
  • Learn to accept losses
  • Know when to quit.

Before starting anything it's still a good thing to have a plan anyway, I mean if you planning to win right, you might get a higher chance of winning instead of just playing the game and you don't really know how to even the game, probably most of the player doesnt play demo but If didn't know the game it could be a good start anyway. But I guess the best thing to do is just gambling responsibly at this point because just gambling intensively could easily means losing all of your money at some point right, we just need to discipline and not get greedy about money.

1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stake platform on: June 11, 2023, 03:11:42 AM
I read some news about this platform. https://business-magazine.biz/2023/06/04/the-legendary-mircea-popescu/ So i decided to find some info on that platform: www.spencer-invest.com It seems they offer a really good % on staking. Do you ever used it? I am thinking to put 1 btc on their platform, but not before I get some advice from someone who used it already.
Thank you.

One thing I learned is staking is not really great when it comes to profit, most of it is just some kind of pyramid scheme since they just circulate the money on the platform and it would need a certain amount of money to enter every time to take profit on your staking. I mean it does work since they offer a great percentage in staking but it wasn't worth it in the long term you could easily be the one that is losing money in the end it is just like lending them money to continue running their business.

It's always better not to put your cryptocurrency into something that you don't have control over, especially on a centralized platform, it's a big risk because they can easily freeze your account and easily you could lose all of your money. Also, it wasn't a popular website, and still don't believe or rely on other people's reviews since it can easily be manipulated.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 11, 2023, 01:02:16 AM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

You are surely lucky making 100,000$ from 1000$ I mean that's 100x already and you still didn't take a profit from that? All you need this discipline and set your goal here since you already winning set your goal to a certain amount which is possible and not difficult to achieve like probably 2x. Getting 100k you could easily take a profit on 50k$ and gamble the rest at that. You get greedy since you wanted 1million$ thinking that you could win but most of the time that is what businesses wanted so your gonna get hooked and start to bet all of your money. Betting a huge amount at once was not a bad idea but if you make it every time there will surely be a time that you going to get lost and all of your winnings are useless.

I mean that just greed you already win but you let your emotions on it, just gambling responsively was supposed to be fun and entertainment but it might turn into a bigger problem losing a big amount of problem.

1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: June 11, 2023, 12:31:05 AM
I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately? this past week I've experienced an increased encounter of gambling ads on videos I watch on youtube. it's not that it bothers me, I am just surprised because I don't remember getting this many gambling ads on youtube videos in the past, but this past week, I usually get a gambling ad from 2-3 out of 5 videos I watch(it's just an estimation because of how often I get the ads). I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.

I mean google probably sells information about your history to most of the websites and then your gonna get gambling website ads, I didn't try it yet since I don't really gamble a lot, but if the algorithm finds you interested in gambling website it might be the one that you're going to get on your youtube ads right? But your kind of right since I don't really experience it or probably I'm just not interested in gambling anymore. As far as I know, gambling has a huge restriction on Youtube so probably they have ways that bypass the algorithm.

But most of the gambling websites paid to get advertise on a lot of social media and websites, even on streamers they paid influencers to get advertising on their video, gambling website is huge in my country since facebook influencers here are huge and get paid to advertise even phishing website and not get involved on cases, so this wasn't really surprising to see this kind of gambling ads online anymore.
1050  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 400 Merchants Na Ang Tumatanggap ng Bitcoin Through Pouch on: June 11, 2023, 12:00:35 AM

Quote
Pouch.ph now has over 400 small businesses accepting Bitcoin payments, expanding beyond their initial success in Boracay to key cities like Cebu City, Dumaguete, Iloilo, and Bacolod City.
The payments provider also enables Bitcoin payments in Metro Manila through establishments such as URBN QC, Draper Startup House, and KosneyLand, providing alternative payment options to credit cards and e-wallets.
Consequently, Pouch.ph offers a Batch Pay feature that streamlines payroll processes and allows for immediate transfers of funds to employees, suppliers, and recipients, with plans to expand the service to over-the-counter remittances through partners like LBC, M Lhuillier, and Palawan Pawnshop.

1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 11:46:05 PM
KYC or
Quote
Know Your Client (KYC) is a standard in the investment industry that ensures advisors can verify a client's identity and know their client's investment knowledge and financial profile.

Reference: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/k/knowyourclient.asp

is part of what we agreed when we sign up to play in casinos but lately I've been reading a lot of complaints
about casinos on how they accept their players' KYC, is it possible that they can decline a person's credentials even though he swore that he submit all the right documents and even undergo a video call to establish his identity?

Take note, Casinos will ask or demand a KYC if there's a big winning involved, is this one of their ways to scam their players?

(don't want to make reference to any casino because other casinos could implement this).

Both parties the player and the casino can agree to do a mediation through third-party/parties. but do you think it has bad consequences if the third party proves the player is right in establishing his identity, then the casino's KYC is not reliable?

If the third-party proved that the casino is right but the player swore that he submit all the documents and is willing to do the extra mile to establish his identity, can we conclude that Casino's KYC procedure is different and we have the right to know how and what system they are using to decline our submission because we can be the next to suffer from this Casinos' KYC system?

I'm, not a fan of KYC especially on gambling websites recently there was a mass phishing happened in my country on a bank, It becomes trending since there are a lot of people who just lose their money and most of the people think that there was a breach on the security of the bank but after the investigation, they find out that it was probably because people connect their bank to a phishing website which is a popular gambling website which is trending in our country.

This gambling website is advertised by a lot of influencers on Facebook and a lot of people think that it is a legitimate website, and probably stores all of the MPIN code that is needed to open the account.

With that I don't trust any gambling website or casino with my information, I mean its already a thing on a lot of gambling websites so they don't require KYC, I mean it wasn't really needed to gamble anyway, I guess this was already a red flag for me especially if its a gambling website.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 11:21:56 PM
Teaching children on bitcoin is like the latest threads in the forum. It is good to tell our children about bitcoin in their tender ages but destiny is not something you force someone to achieve. Just like the general saying that "You can take a horse to the river but you cannot force it to drink the water". That's, it is good to tell your children about bitcoin but you cannot force him or her to learn bitcoin if it is not in the mind of the child and if that is not the child's calling in life.

Just like another instant again, it is a Ghanaian Play called "Sons and Daughters by Joe De Graft". The father wanted his daughter to study law while the some for medicine but the boy wanted to study Fine and Applied Arts while the girl wanted to study Theatre Arts but the father refused. There was a day the boy's friend drew Ghanaian President and the picture was bought with a very big amounts of money which was about millions and it was broadcasted on National TV and Radio Stations and the father heard about the news and he called his children and advised them to study what they like.

I think that play is a very big lesson to everyone in the contemporary world. So if your children are not interested to learn bitcoin please don't force them. Everyone has their own destiny.
I've tell it everytime that bitcoin is a complicated things for childrena and to be homest for sure they dont really care on it for shre they just know that saving is a good thing and that is what your teaching them it is probably more accurate probably if they are already a teenager its the right age to teach them what is bitcoin, But even children could wonder what really bitcoin is which is a good thing it will encourage them to get involved on the cryptocurrency space soon when they grow up since they might wonder what this bitcoin is.

We seen the bitcoin cartoon get popular if children would watched that clips they might have no idea what is bitcoin but its a good start to condition them in the future, to invest, save etc.
for children, I think the introduction to bitcoin is enough to teach, considering that we have to introduce it gradually. it is not certain that they will be interested in being in this business, even if they are not interested, at least they will get to know bitcoin later. after all, everyone has their own talents, so they will also determine their own path, so as parents we must be able to direct according to the will of the child. for the introduction of bitcoin, I think it needs to be done early

Agree with that, I mean we don't know if they actually learning what Bitcoin is but the fact that we are introducing Bitcoin to them is giving them a good introduction that hopefully one day they will wonder what is Bitcoin is and start to get curious about it, then they will start to find out what really is Bitcoin and probably might start investing on their own right.

I mean it could be more effective when you teach them when they are already teenagers, If they are exposed to it they will they will think from the beginning that Bitcoin is a part of how they live. Like I've said the Bitcoin cartoon thing is a good option since they are exposed to this kind of technology or things, Its really great since it's like teaching your children to save money like saving a small amount in a piggy bank.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: June 10, 2023, 05:37:24 PM
Hi we are changing the reward system and we would like to have some feedback before launch the new system

What kind of rewards/bonuses do you like ?

Welcome bonuses , cashback , freespins etc ?

or what kind of rewards would you like to see in an online casino ?

Thanks

Hmmm.. most of the time this kind of bonus doesnt really matter since to win you need to gamble so you need to deposit money or cryptocurrency anyway that higher the risk the higher the reward as well and your winning would depend on your luck I guess. But who doesnt love bonuses if you could get it right?

I think cashback will be a great bonus maybe if you reach a certain betting amount you could get a percentage cashback of that money, which could also be a good thing since it encourages players to play more since they will be getting a cashback if they right an amount. Also, freespin is also a great bonus but in my experience, free Spin doesnt really win, if your lucky you might just win a small money of reward on your free spin. A referral system is also a great addition and you're going to get a small percentage every time your referral deposit money, it wasn't a big amount but it could stack up if you have a lot of invites.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 10, 2023, 04:57:33 PM
I was kinda surprised when I read the news from Financial Times that the cross-section of the UK's MPs that seems to see it as needless to regulate cryptocurrency suggested that it should be viewed as "a form of gambling" and be regulated as such.

Without relying on my own understanding of "gambling," I quickly used the help of the Oxford Dictionary through Google, and it states;

1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?

I've thought about it a long time ago for sure cryptocurrency investment wasn't called gambling, but there are surely some similarities like what you have said.

You're not going to lose in cryptocurrency as long as you hold and do not sell it at a loss, you could just hold forever. If your investing in a popular cryptocurrency I guess something like bitcoin, holding something like trash coins in the market would surely end up in a loss since the coin is already dead. So you could make exceptions to something like Bitcoin and Ethereum because this was like a stock market in which you invest and believed in a company right? Do you consider the stock market a form of gambling?

I guess if you're going to do daily trading and something like leverage it is already gambling since on futures you could lose all of your investment on it easily if you are not lucky on your guess which is really similar to gambling.

Current: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Metaverse" | $5000 up for grabs! ~ Ends July 10th! - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5455662.0
I am surprised to see how many art contest were organised in the year 2021 alone and after that they have limited it and happy also that team has constantly organised them from then. Thanks for sharing the latest contest as was not aware about it as they have dropped it preety soon after declaration of the previous contest winners and congratulations to you as well man Cheesy

The Cosmos Art contest recently just ended then after that we already have a new event, Roobet is doing great and has a lot of contests here in the forum this year probably almost monthly.

A lot of members joined and we getting a lot of great artists here in the forum because of this contest, Surely we are going to have more success in this contest. But maybe they will have a different contest as well something like the game as well or maybe they could host a live stream they we could play a game just to have a variety of contests, Roobet is getting a lot of great contests on their website as well so I guess it was just an extension to have the contest here as well.

Hopefully, I would have time for this new contest would really want to join the last one but I've been really busy with my new job lately. Good luck!
1056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 10, 2023, 02:54:55 PM
Does anyone here still stores their crypto in exchanges? I think the best choice would be to move a higher value of funds to a hardware wallet while leaving a small amount that's less than 5K in an exchange.

Exchanges have proven time and time again that they can disappoint their users at any time. Let's not talk about the FTX issue. but for instance, Atomic Wallet just let its users' funds vanish into thin air a few days ago with no reasonable explanation.

So, why would anyone in their right mind take the risk of storing your crypto on exchange? When it usually means that the exchange retains control (or 'custody') of your assets without giving you access to the private keys. Also, they can disappoint you at any time.

I mean it's not a good idea, I don't store any amount on my exchange platforms since they are really risky and can easily freeze all of my cryptocurrency as stored on a secured wallet just to be sure. Exchanges are actually useful for buying, selling, P2P, etc., and less hassle on converting different networks if you're in the cryptocurrency space you definitely need exchanges on your transactions. Its already a good starting point for newbies since they can easily trade cryptocurrency on an exchanger, someone planning to daily trade can easily use exchanges.

It's not an issue I guess you could pick a trusted exchange like Binance it doesn't mean what happened to FTX is going to happen on Binance as well, Sure you could probably store a small percentage of your portfolio on exchanges just for the interest rates since exchanges have great interest rates. But either way, just use other wallets for your main investment since the fee doesnt cost a lot you could easily transact from your wallet to exchange easily.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: June 10, 2023, 01:32:05 PM
I recently discovered that I signed up for a casino without thoroughly reading its terms and conditions agreement. But of course this was entirely my fault even that I am still bothered by the withdrawal requirements on deposits. It is well known that deposit bonuses or any bonus offered by a casino will have wagering requirements that goes to x50 or more. What truly concerns me is the 5X wagering requirement on normal deposits without any bonus in order to withdraw the initial deposit or winnings.
To clarify things better here is an example : if you were to deposit $1000 and win $200 in your first few games then you wouldnt be able to withdraw your winnings or even your deposits without wagering at least $5000. This means that 80% of the time, you would lose your money before reaching the required amount.
In my opinion this term is unfair. I am not attacking any specific casino, but I do believe that if users were aware of these requirements they would be less likely to deposit their money in such casinos since there are other casinos without such stringent requirements.

That seems to be a scam casino, I mean I've tried a lot of gambling websites and casinos and I've never encountered something like it, I think this is a scam casino, its obviously a big red flag you should be able to withdraw your deposit and your winnings anytime you wanted, in my experience you just need to deposit probably 10-20$ then you could start playing already then it would just depend on your earnings.

I mean yes you didn't read the policy, regulations, etc. but this wasn't a fair thing, in my opinion, 5x was just ridiculous, something is going on might be some kind of pyramid scheme they just didn't want you to get your money out and surely your going to lose all of your money in playing.

I guess just pick a trusted gambling website next time I mean we have plenty of trusted gambling websites here in the forum, plus you could easily report if you encounter problem since they are active here in the forum on the gambling seciton.

Learning when you're a child could be a good thing in the future because they have great practices and investing or saving can be a normal thing to them.

We see the bitcoin cartoon get popular if children would watched those clips they might have no idea what is bitcoin but it's a good start to condition them in the future, to invest, save etc.

Na madaling manakaw compared sa bitcoin which is like savings card or Gcash.

In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
I wish to know if anyone has successfully claimed referral bonuses and how easy was the process and what Casino did you claim those bonuses

It was actually the opposite referral bonus actually earns a one-time good amount of money in the long term it wasn't a big amount at first but if you have a low of referrals that could easily stack up to thousands of dollars easily. I'm guessing you have a problem with claiming your referral bonus since it required a certain number of referrals before you could start to claim.

I mean I see a lot of influencers earning a huge amount of money by referral that could easily stack up over the years of referral, for example, one gambling website or exchange pays a good amount on every referral you have, but most of the time the referral needed to deposit first or the referral needed to do some sort of KYC. There are some referral systems where you get a small percentage every time your referral deposit money, that is actually great since your earning every time they deposit even though it was just a small amount if you have a huge referral it could be a good bonus for sure.
