1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: October 13, 2017, 05:14:31 AM
My dreams with  Bitcoin is actually very simple and can be realized nearly.  With Bitcoin, I make a lot of money, build a family farm with the money I get, live happily with my family, work together. Bitcoin Please do this for me please   Grin

That is awesome dream you've got there, mines is to store bitcoin as many as I can, I will hold it and I will convert it after 20 years, I'm sure that the price of bitcoin that time will be 10 times higher than its price right now, when that happen,  I would be a very rich person in an instant. Mayb e you guys are thinking that I couldn't make such thing. I'm a positive thinker.

I agree you Man.As like you ,I was a positive thinker. It's my attitude.By seeing the yesterday and today price variation you may conclude ,how long the bitcoin will survive. My dream about bitcoin is hold all my earning bitcoin from trading,Signature Campaign and Mining and make it to 1 BTC with short period of time. And hold that for a year and to gain profit from it.

1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: October 11, 2017, 10:47:37 AM
Perfect time for buying altcoins will be closer to the end of October just before the BTC hardfork. There will be the lowest prices of autumn for sure.

Yes buddy. Many of the altcoin are now cheap of cost. But ,you have to take risk.Actually speaking it's not a risk at all.Its fully based on the Analysis knowledge about the Altcoin. If you inverse in altcoin now  means, after Segwit, the price of all the Altcoin will increase sure and you surely get profit.
1046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: October 11, 2017, 10:31:57 AM
Ive been wrong that i withdraw all my earnings on trading ..
i learned that ..must have patience in holding then exchanging it times 10 from the day I bought my alts..
hmm .. too bad for me now bitcoins is still aiming high ..

Just we all know that repentance always comes at last, But at least you learned from your mistake buddy. In trading, it really need the application of patience so that big rewards will receive. That's the content of holding in a long term or short term which is be patience.

Holding is the best  for your Profit. If you have a patience means, you will get huge profit. If you have a Guts to hold your money in growing technology, sure you can get into the Bitcoin Holding and be patience to get profit from bitcoin. This I will suggest you for your Profit. But it's your wish.
1047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: October 09, 2017, 01:20:39 PM
I never felt that trading is for fun because trading always needs serious activities because if our target is not reachable then it will end up in a loss. So we have to be very careful when dealing with trading and I never take trading as for fun.
Don't be serious enjoy it,when you know you already  earn take some time to enjy it even a little amount so that you'll not get bored and you will have a guts to enjoy it some time.

Only if you are a billionaire or millionaire, you can do Trading as a Game and do trading for the fun making. If you want to play with  money means, you should not depend on that Money.Avoid to play with money. Then you will be in trouble. In you future also you may need of that money. Who's know. So Better don't waste it
1048  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins good for trading? on: October 09, 2017, 12:23:12 PM
if I think to choose a good coin that is by looking at the graph of all the coins and
you see which coin is the most stable price by looking and comparing the increase
in coin prices over time and I think the coin that is relatively stable price is dogecoin.
Coins good for trading is a necessary to determined in which altcoin is worth to invest. Yes graph is one of the important to consider and actually I choose the coin that has a potential to grow.

Yes .I will suggest you the bitcoin to inverse your money .Since the price of bitcoin is keeps on increasing, you may trust bitcoin blindly. That much worth bitcoin has.If you have low funds means, you may check with any other altcoin. There are lots of  altcoin, you may choose any coin. It's your wish. But better choose the best One for Profit.

1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2017, 08:57:23 AM
There are many reasons why people are holding bitcoin. One of the reasons the people expect that someday the value of bitcoin will raise up so they can get a lot of profits when they sell bitcoin. The second reason maybe the people feel safe by holding bitcoin for their asset in future.

Good Buddy. If you have bitcoin longer time means, that much profit you have with you for your future.Bitcoin keeping is like saving money in bank which gives interest to your money. In bitcoin also, after some days you will get additional dollars compared to today's price of bitcoin.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] ♠ CasinoCoin v3.0 ♥ 3.9 Yrs Old ♦ Windows, OSX, Linux, Android ♣ on: July 14, 2017, 10:04:54 AM

What I do not understand is: Even if the 51% attack had been fully successful, how did the attackers think they will be able to liquidate 9.7m CSC?  Surely, their objective must have been to illicitly gain the CSC and then sell them for BTC and walk away with the BTC.  Given the historic market depth, that seems nigh on impossible without crashing the price to zero.

So, something is fishy here.  Why would an attacker go to such lengths only to end up, even in the best case scenario, with 9.7m CSC that are practically unsalable?

Unless of course the attackers were insiders and had other motives, such as taking over a large part of the coin supply.

Don't speak without knowledge of the subject, ... if there is any insider it would be Cryptopia themselves as they required the CSC dev team to deposit 9,7 mln coins or they would delist CSC. We offered to look into replacing the involved users BTC instead of CSC as we do not have any reserve CSC available as CSC does not have a premine. Cryptopia refused that so they are at fault here and i do not react very well to threats! Until now only 1,8 mln coins have been reported missing by users so i wonder where the other 8 mln is??

All malicious transactions are rolled back on the blockchain within acceptable timeframes and could take place because Cryptopia had only 6 confirms on deposits and works only on their own internal DB instead of verifying against the blockchain. The attacker got users BTC and run off. To stop all speculation you can find all transactions below with their rollbacks from a primary CSC seed, ... you can check that in your own debug.log if you run your own full-time online CSC node:

Wow that's crazy to hear, hope everyone that lost their money on there is able to recover.

So the attacker was able to steal 9.7 million coins from Cryptopia? Or are all those coins invalid?

I know you said there was rollbacks, but just want to be sure that person didn't get to keep any of the stolen coins

The coins didn't exist and the exchange is blaming Litecoin code. Unless i missed something huge in the commits, its Litecoin core that they are blaming  Roll Eyes
Yes the blockchain is fine. Cryptopia just had a way tooo low confirmation count of 6 blocks and no secondary checks on transactions in place. The CSC core indeed is on par with Litecoin so no security breaches there. Just very bad practices from an exchange ....

If you trade or run a CSC service please consider:
- Never leave coins in exchange wallets
- Always trade/deposit/withdraw in small amounts
- Always use a minimum for CSC block confirmations of 50, preferably 100 or more!
- If you run an exchange, ... ALWAYS run checks on transactions against the blockchain!

Until now only about 2,5 mln of the missing 9,7 mln Cryptopia coins have been reported. Can everybody who lost coins please inform us?

Also, there is still 0.64143185 BTC on the buy side on Cryptopia, .... i would move that to AlcurEX or NovaExchange as soon as possible!!!
Thanks!

Information regarding the Cryptopia issues.
On 12-06-2017 a 51% attack on Cryptopia started. The attackers targeted various coins, including CSC. By now, after thorough analysis, we can conclude that the attackers were able to deposit some 9.7 million CSC to Cryptopia without actually having those coins in their possession. While Cryptopia tells its users that the coin developers are responsible for the loss, analysis shows a different story.

- more than 200 double spent deposits took place
- 41 of those deposits succeeded
- all double spent transactions have been rolled back by the CSC blockchain and there is NO fork
- most transactions rolled back within 1-2 blocks, the double spends that succeeded had rollbacks between 10-60 blocks
- the attack continued for 8 days
- Cryptopia claims block rollbacks of 300 blocks took place, this is not true
- Cryptopia claims there was 1.2Thash involved, this is not true, there was a max of about 800 MHash during the attack
- Cryptopia had set block confirmations to only 6 blocks for deposits
- Cryptopia had no checks of their wallet against the blockchain at any time
- Cryptopia only depends on its own DB instead of the coins blockchain after the 6 confirmations
- Cryptopia allowed for 25% of total market capital to be deposited by a single user
- Only when a large withdraw was no longer possible they detected something was wrong
- We tried to work out a solution with Cryptopia but they demanded we deposited the missing 9.7 million coins or altered the blockchain. It seems obvious that both are not viable options for the casinocoin team.
- As an alternative we asked for a detailed list of BTC that would be required to rollback the malicious transactions and return the original BTC to the users but Cryptopia refused to supply that.
- Cryptopia decided to walk away, delist CSC and leave users with their losses.

Anybody that wants the detailed information of the log analysis can get it on request. We know there has been discussion of the network hashrate in the past but we want to remind everybody that network hashing power can be acquired at about 0.003 BTC per hour for 1 GHash at this moment. That makes almost all Scrypt based coins vulnerable for a 51% attack at this moment. Problems for exchanges however can be prevented by running decent block confirmation amounts and running regularly checks on wallets and transactions, .... either one would have raised red flags at Cryptopia a lot sooner. We have advised AlcurEX and NovaExchange about the attack and they both verified that they have block confirmations at 100 or more. Although we are sad for the users that have losses because of Cryptopia we would not know how to supply a solution as Cryptopia refuses to further collaborate and walks away.

We would like all Cryptopia users to gather as much information as possible on all their BTC and CSC deposits and withdraws (addresses and transaction id's) and sent them to Casinocoin, GoldSeal or myself. Also information about balances and filled orders should be saved e.g. by making screenshots of everything. The CSC team might find a way in the near future to reimburse some of the losses of Cryptopia users and in that case you would need to show some proof. As Cryptopia now shows they do not care about their users and they were running an insecure exchange we suggest everybody to get their balances of Cryptopia as soon as possible and advise other users to do the same!!

As I said, CSC is a joke, and now the clowns from Prypto, who achieved exactly zero, zilch, nada, nix, rien, nothing, in 2 years, are in control of the coin and probably the network also.

Man grow up! You have no idea whats going on, ... you do not have any idea about who is in control, .... you lost interest in the coin, ..... you sold off all your coins to somebody else, .... move on and go away please!

Well, I think it would be interesting for the "leaders" to give a little clarification about what is happening in Cryptopia ..

-Why did the negotiations stop at the exchange?
-Why casinocoin.org regressed in terms of use / functionality at the level of Prypto and Dreamworks sites (nothing to see ... nothing to say ...).
-Why Bitcointalk.com has more information, including in Chinese (I think ...) including explorers of blocks, for example ..

After all, what's wrong with this coin Huh?

Cryptopia detected malicious transactions regarding casinocoin. As a security measure they paused trading. Both cryptopia as we are looking into the issue. Please do not draw any conclusions until we actually know what is going on.

Does bittrex still do the bribe thing to get coins listed? If so, anyone wanna pitch in to get it listed?
They state that they might add a coin for free but can charge up to 3BTC for investigation of the coin: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854-Submitting-a-Coin-to-Bittrex
If necessary i am willing to be the Enhanced Verified Account member needed to register and i am willing to donate 0.1 BTC towards the good cause ....

I hope to start working on the C++ code tree again in the coming months, ... i have the following on my wish list:
  • Separating core (lib), CLI and Qt wallet source code into different projects
  • Implementing reverse blockchain download using checkpoints to speed up initial wallet sync for new users
  • Re-evaluate possible diff options as i am convinced that there must be a better algorithm than the current one
  • Looking at adding some Insight server items straight into the CSC daemon and rebuild the Insight API on top off the C++ daemon instead of its own NodeJS implementation

Are there any other items the community would like to see added?

I think it would be a really good idea to consider moving to POS after updating the codebase to as close to litecoin as possible. Then breaking up the things you wish to put into other projects.

Logically, overall, i believe this to be less of a headache then what you propose. I'm more then willing to be incorrect though.
Yes, changing the diff algorithm is a real headache, ... thats why we haven't touched it yet. It might even not be necessary if hashrate increases but currently its soo hard to determine if the diff is good enough to create a stable blocktime. Anyway, .... PoS is not going to happen, ... we discussed that before and the consensus was that it would dilute too much the current market capital. A stable blockreward of 1 CSC for the next 30 years was preferred .....

What do You guys think about adding anonymity (privacy of transactions) to CSC? For example to the Pro version. Is it even possible?
I think that would push CSC into an 'illegal usage only' direction ..... i think the legal casino business is actually struggling with KYC and AML requirements. That is also the reason of my 'Proof of Gambling Result' comments. If we can show the business that CSC can actually help them solving KYC and AML we have a business case.

Where do you stand on Segwit/UASF ?

I understand we don't have a block size problem etc but it may be good to think about this now instead of in hindsight.
I am currently also working on some examples on pushing gambling results onto the blockchain, .... kind of adding a 'Proof of Gambling Result' feature. That could potentially increase  the need for an increase in block size in the future so yes i guess we need to consider the possibilities. I guess that Litecoin is a good proof of concept for that and we can look on adding that in the future. On the other hand looking at the diff and getting the blocktime closer to its projected 30 seconds would already give CSC the possibility to process 20x more transactions as BTC.

There is also an other thing that has been on my mind lately, .... the Qt license conditions keep changing and move towards commercial applications more and more. Professionally i already switched to Code::Blocks and wxWidgets because of that and i really started to appreciate that IDE.

So i might consider migrating from Qt to Code::Blocks when i separate the source code into Core, CLI and GUI projects. Currently nobody else does development on the C++ source code but would there be any objections against that?

I guess i then would also create a 'Lite' and 'Pro' version of the GUI Wallet where the lite version would only support basic send/receive/addressbook options and the pro version would include all current features but also more mining and blockchain info, .... kind of adding the insight like search features into the wallet pro version. Because of legal issues we will never add gambling directly into the wallet but if all the above is achieved we could also create a desktop casino application that connects directly to the blockchain quite easily and creating some white label applications might give CSC a real push!
