You are NOT alone! Unfortunately, I have no money even if I wanted to wait another week for funds to clear  The old saying goes, you gotta have money to make money  This bot/trader has the whole orderbook filled with this junk. Bigvern should put some rules in for this type of thing.  If you know who to contact, you should ask them if they'd be willing to do something about it. It hurts them the same, since it keeps prices down , therefor keeps fees down! Plus, it's nasty cheating, even if it's used on the gullible  when you stuff the orderbook with lots of these little orders others can't see what orders are being placed and you can't judge buying demand.
Can't you just scroll down the buy order queue - what's to stop anyone from doing that? Look, I don't consider myself the stupidest person in the world, and on some things, I'm quite bright. But finances have never been my thing, and it took me a LONG time to figure out what I was seeing on these exchanges. Especially with shares broken down so small: 0.001234 etc... it confused me. Luckily I wasn't frightened into selling, as I wasn't looking to sell, but I can totally see people falling for that, and there are enough newbs each day to feed the bots what do u think about this coin? Hey, a clone of us! You know, I think they do a disservice to themselves. Who are they going to trade with? Themselves? LOL whatever...
You put up a collateral transaction that only the current master node can cash to get into the pool. If you misbehave in any way, the master node will cash it. Each time that costs 0.1DRK, so it could add up pretty quick if you're attacking it.
Masternode's are chosen randomly using a deterministic algorithm that can't be tampered with. This has a nice side effect, people will want to run full nodes to get the random fees. So we should have a pretty strong base of nodes.
How does one run full nodes? Where do nodes come from? LOL, I don't understand!!!  I own some DRK but I am interested in mining it also, do any miners have experience with this over other scrypt coins? How are the temperatures?

Uhh, far as I can tell by reading the thread SuchPool was the last major pool to patch this issue. Lotterymining, Coinmine, and the official pool have been OK for a couple of days now.
Haters gon' hate! I was giggling when I saw the post (I think they missed the previous posts and didn't realize there was a problem until the developers contacted them) But I wasn't going to say anything. But then my husband made a comment that made me laugh really hard. And Suchpool, I really don't mean this about you, but if you go back a week or so, there was a poster, who apparently posts everywhere as if he knows everything, and another member who identified the guy as having this ... syndrome or something. I forgot the name, but basically it's when a person has the illusion of competence I figure 90% of the guys I used to work with had this syndrome, ROFL ah, it's the Dunning–Kruger effect! ROFL, I'm sure ALL of you have worked with one of these types! |

Why should there exist such a manipulation @ anonymousxx
There can be various reasons. The first assumption would be that someone wants to buy it very low and then manipulate or let it grow naturally upwards and make a lot of money. It's most likely as simple as that. Other than that you can have competitors drive down your price pretty effectively. But there is clearly manipulation as you can see in my gif. And this has been going on for weeks! (or it feels like it!) |

That poster on /r/bitcoin admitted that the latest DarkSend is indeed decentralized but pointed out that the specs don't mention anything about signing. As mentioned in gmaxwell's original post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279249.0), blind signatures are needed to truly prevent anyone from learning the sender-receiver mapping. Does DarkSend implement blind signatures? If not, are there plans to introduce it? Evan isn't doing a straight coinjoin. He had an epiphany and realized a simple but wholly effective solution, which you can see on the first page. It does require, at the moment at least, a master (wallet I believe) to function as intermediary or the "pool pot" The use of darksend starts off with denomination of your balance, which means your coins are grouped and accounted for in fresh transaction numbers in denominations of 1000, 100, 10, 1, .1, .01 etc... so you can't see, when a transaction starts, where the original coins came from. They go into the pools without a history and with a random single use account number (used only once, the change will have to be re-denominated in the future to be a part of a rounded amount (100, 10, etc...) and it's history will once again be wiped. Once the payee's money leaves the pot to go on it's way, the "change" is sent back to the original sender using another random throw away address. There is no way to know what happened and who sent what unless you know the secret (were the sender) then you can see your coins being transferred (you still won't know which of the 100's 10's etc... was yours though) I hope if there is a hole to be found that it's found sooner than later, though! |

So I'm trying to google darkcoin to see if I can spot any rumors and talk outside the regular forums, and I found out that Moolah added Darkcoin! It's really awesome if you want to buy coin direct using fiat! This is great news, and unless I missed it, I haven't seen anyone post about it yet!

They will be mean in other threads in this subforum, speaking from experience. But it does go both ways . . I see a lot of talk about DarkSend in multiple CoinJoin threads . . and a lot of it is not trash talk. People seem genuinely interested for the most part about that.

Let me clear this up once and for all. No darkcoin devs have jumped ship. Dark wallet is a completely different thing. It's an anonymous online wallet built for bitcoin. The devs there may have jumped ship.
Oh, ok, LOL, why do I feel like we're the center of a bunch of rumors today? I guess if they're talking about us as if they're scared of something, we must be doing something right, LOL. Lord knows we're too quiet to blow our own horns properly! Me being the worst. I'm safe with my friends here, but go to another thread? Scary! They'd probably be mean to me! |
