1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be your SR auction bid? on: June 15, 2014, 08:19:08 PM
Only reason I think maybe over market value is because none of these big buyers could buy thousands of coins off a exchange without  the price going through the roof.
1042  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase Now Allows Merchants to Offer 25% Discounts on Bitcoin Purchases on: June 15, 2014, 02:38:10 PM
Even a 1% discount to cover the exchange fee when u buy btc would be sweet.

No
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What would be your SR auction bid? on: June 15, 2014, 02:05:35 AM
Its going to be a silent auction.  So you submit 1 bid. Highest wins.  No bidding war.

So if you were a major player bidding on 3,000 coins what would be your bid if you really wanted these coins?  Im trying to think what a typical winning bid will be.

Im thinking $700 per coin.

Too bad its a silent auction. No bidding wars.  1 bid is submitted, highest bid wins.
1046  Economy / Speculation / Re: If $537 fails to hold........ on: June 14, 2014, 11:23:40 PM
Low 300s because the gov is selling some coins?  Where do you guys come up with this stuff?
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18 Million Dollars of BTC Seized from Silk Road to be Auctioned by US Government on: June 14, 2014, 08:42:57 PM
3,000 btc blocks.  A whale buying 3,000 coins off a exchange at once would drive the price way up.  If there are alot of bidders the price could be above market and launch a bubble.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia, world's largest travel company, now accepts Bitcoin. Your thoughts? on: June 11, 2014, 11:31:34 PM
There will be a lot of merchant adoption this year.  They are converting 100% to fiat however.  We need to move on to phase 2 where they start holding between 1-10% of there btc income.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: June 09, 2014, 10:34:32 PM
Ya that's today's price.  Average cost of those coins is only $560.  Deflation works!  I will replace the coins back into my wallet when I see a little dip.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: June 09, 2014, 10:23:52 PM
My house needs a new roof which is going to cost me 5.5btc.  And yes there is one roofer in my city that accepts bitcoin.

415?  Your nuts.  600 is the bottom if it drops.
1052  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the weekend rally? on: June 07, 2014, 02:19:24 PM
Can't go up 10% every week.  Go long or GTFO.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who wishes they had bought bitcoin when it was $540 or so? on: June 07, 2014, 03:08:03 AM
When bitcoin reaches $5,000+ is it really going to matter if you bought in at $540 or $640?
1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 04, 2014, 11:03:51 PM
Im all in as well.  Invested $10k in the $400 range and will keep buying and using btc.  Im 35 and have disposable income.  Im tired of playing it safe.

That is proving to be a very nice entry to the market now. Do you plan on day trading with any of your investment, perhaps leverage using alts? Or are you holding for the long game?

Long.  I want to sell half in 2 years towards a new house.  Or hopefully I can use them instead of having to convert to fiat.  The rest will be held for at least 10 years.

1057  Economy / Speculation / Re: New China Ban incoming on: June 04, 2014, 06:16:10 PM
All this does is set up another bubble when they lift the ban.
1058  Economy / Service Discussion / Something going on with coinbase? on: June 03, 2014, 07:02:33 PM
Price hasn't moved a cent in over a hour.  Completely flat lined.
