dedicatedpool doesn't allow to my rented ring to mine. The owner of the rig told me that it is a pool's problem. Who is the owner of the pool?

End of POW is only couple of days ahead Smiley and remember multi sig anon in place , fork shield , fast transactions , and keyjoin will be implemented so bright future ahead Smiley

Good Luck to all of us Smiley

Maybe is this the reponse to my question? It seems that there is a roadmap, right? Keyjoin, fork shield... We all know that in the crypto world updates and announcements are the " fuel" of the game. This coin is already safe and stable but other things will coming. This is what I wanted to know
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]MULTICOIN丨X11丨MC丨First Mulisignature Coin | on: July 27, 2014, 07:48:29 PM
Hi dev, a question: are the features already implemented or there is a roadmap? Maybe with a clear roadmap fudsters will have not so much to say about this coin. Naturally, community has to do his part, but I mean, what about your plans? You are very active and I d like to mine, but what about the roadmap/timeline?

please, can you add a countdown? It's better for understanding the time, you know, there are a lot of coins and I m going to become crazy

I think you may have misunderstood coinsolidation's post. The IPM pool(https://github.com/project-bitmark/bitmark/wiki/IPM-Pool) is making arrangements with people who own physical mining equipment and renting it from them directly. Not people like us who are renting mining rigs online.

As far as profit goes, you'll likely be able to sell for a profit at any point in the near future. But keep in mind that this is a long term project and the intentions are much greater than simply mining a few coins and flipping them for a profit on an exchange. Of course you're free to do as you wish and no one is going to have a problem if you choose to do that. But personally I would recommend holding and possibly participating in the development of Bitmark in anyway you think you can.

About IPM pool: yeh, I ve misunderstood.

About the rest: yeh, I wanted just to understand if this is an investment or crowdfunding. Absolutely I m not in hurry to sell. Now it's more clear. Thanks

Note: unfortunately I m not tech skilled, but for what I can, I could consider a part time job Wink
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: July 26, 2014, 03:04:44 PM
In fact I'm so keen to establish a starting price I'll sell up to 5000 BTM at 20,000 sat each.  1 BTC buys the lot. I'm probably taking a long term loss doing that but someone needs to be the crash test dummy Smiley

If you could hold them for me for two weeks, I will gladly commit to buying the lot.

Regarding miners, we have already solved the situation for some miners, the IPM Pool requires a lot of hashrate, the deal is that we will pay you a fixed rate to hash for 24 hours, which covers all of your rig costs for 36 hours, so long as you take that profit in BTM by mining for yourself for the extra 8 hours. That way miners support the network, have all their bills paid, and get to take out BTM as a reward.

Already 180MH/s has been committed, others are welcome to join.

If there is this kind of solution, I d like to know more. I rented a rig for two days and I m mining. I can t keep this rig for a long time if I don t realize at least the money to cover the costs. But if the solution above really exists, I can keep renting, just let me know how to do. A question: I discovered this community three days ago and yet I m missing to understand how this coin will give us a profit. I agree about to don't go immediatly in the exchanges, but if we don t go there, how exactly investors and miners will have a gain? Selling mark when the infrastructure will be ready?

Last question: actually my mined stake is " unconfirmed".. Will it be confirmed at the end of the renting period?

BTM takes 721 Blocks to mature, roughly 1 Day.

The rationale for this decision is can be found on the wiki.

Ok, fine  Wink
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: July 25, 2014, 07:08:08 PM

Thanks. At the current rate, 1 day renting scrypt rig is about 0.77 a day. It means that I should pay 0.77 BTC to receive more or less a total amount of 7 BTM daily?
I hope I m wrong  Cry

You are! Smiley
Current price is less than 0.001 per MH/s/24H
Look here: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/scrypt

thanks a lot. Finally I ve learned how to rent a rig. "a little step for a man a big step for humanity"  Cheesy

thanks and let s go!

Sorry for my noob question but I m not tech astute. Does it mean that if I rent a rig I would have more or less 20-21 BTM each day, right ( it mines only in the pool)?
I was watching at nicehash but if someone would suggest me a better service for rent a rig it will be appreciated ( and a pool with the related port, I don't see it in the OP)

thanks again

At current difficulty you will roughly mine about 20 BTM / 1MH / Day (+/- 7 BTM)

New Wiki Page: Solo Mining

Following multiple queries as to how to set up solo mining, I have finally managed to document Solo Mining on the Wiki.

If there are any questions or clarifications required please ask.

Proving the theory

Part of the rationale behind Bitmark's Block Chain configuration is the notion that more rewards per day will create a healthier network.

I have proved the theory twice myself already, and now I've challenged a small solo miner to help me prove it also.

He has 1.7 MH/s, and is therefore on the edge of luck. By the average network hashrate he should manage marginally over 1 block per day. Since you can only find complete blocks, this means he will get 20 or 40 BTM per day, 1 or 2 blocks. If he mined on a pool he would generate 20-21 BTM each day, by taking this challenge we can prove if solo mining is viable, and if our theory is sound.

The challenge I have set him is to see how lucky he is, he will mine for exactly 24 hours and report back as to how many blocks he finds. I will double whatever rewards he gets for doing this challenge.

getMarked Funding Goal: 0.9/8 BTC, with 1.15 BTC pledged.

Sorry for my noob question but I m not tech astute. Does it mean that if I rent a rig I would have more or less 20-21 BTM each day, right ( it mines only in the pool)?

How is progress going for the IPM launch, happening today ?

excited about the increase in network speed this day, closest to 2min block times its been for a few days.

the progress happening with the Bitmark project will be gathering more attention soon it seems. nice ideas for the development of a Getmarked button. real world application is key.  Smiley

...

anyone wanting to buy some Bitmark, send a personal message ... also, wondering a transparent fair price for starting the distribution of some Bitmark .. any idea current production cost per Bitmark?

i d like to buy some at honest price just for be part of this interesting project. do i pm you?

I can sell you some at 20k Satoshis but to be honest it would be better to rent a mining rig for you.

Indeed I was thinking about it. Thanks guys for your quickly and honest replies

Devs cancelled the first IPO in order to work on details and come up with a decent IPO plan. Instead they've just started IPO with no info whatsoever. Maidsafe investors got about 20000 coins for 1 BTC, devs set a cap but still investors are pretty much fucked. Ethereum devs only offer 2000 for 1 BTC, didn't set a cap, didn't post any info about total amount of coins, mining plan, devs stake ect. Looks like another big disappointment: eMunie, Maidsafe, Ethereum.

Indeed I m not understanding which is the total amount of the coins? Who knows?

nobody knows

that why this IPO is so weird

I was really interested in Ethereum but this all looks so scammy, I don't know what to think anymore.

Red Flag. I want to invest, not only to participate in a crowdfunding. I d like to know the total amount of the coins. Ursius, something about it?

Somebody mentioned a 'market cap' earlier, we have no market.

A measurement is the production cost, we can calculate the cost to produce 1 BTM at any given period of time, then use this to calculate a 'production cap' and an average production price for each bitmark.

I have calculated this with a quick script http://bitmark.co/production.txt

Code:
Blocks BTM Hashrate	BTM Cost	Production Cap	Av BTM Cost

The exact figures are unknown as every hashing device has a different cost, and many people use rented mining rigs. This is a reasonable measurement.

This calculation can be used on any currency, it would be interesting to apply it to some other currencies and cross reference it the market price Smiley

Update: getbitmark.org has been donated to the project!

I m not a miner.. How could I buy some coin just to be part of the project? Are u thinking about a crowd fund giving coins to the investors? thanks for the reply
